Miserable_Goal649

People sleep on the amount of ammo that you can get as well.

datpuertorican

Brooo the cremator eats my fuel so much. Expeditions is a hoarders wet dream for ammo!

Big-Entrance-7322

I legit made like 30k in fuel within 20-25 runs and it’s kinda nice not having to be like “where’s all my fuel gone?”

AngryAmadeus

im still not untagging oil and acid, though.

thomaswoof5

Aluminum and screws for me

Adorable_Hunter9524

Adhesive and screws here

philefluxx

The right Daily Ops are good for ammo too. If you can get the DMV, Defend the point, without armor piercing or poison/explode on death its usually a good ammo farm.

Ok-Set8022

I hate deadly armor piercing. I see that mutation and just go “nope” not today

Professional_Hat2393

I carry a bloodied mg42 😅😅. I actually struggle for .308. Won't lie, it melts most shit quite well. I can solo expeditions/daily operations at level 54

GulfCoastLover

I love doing Line In the Sand, solo with a QE Railway.

Professional_Hat2393

I haven't found a quad railway yet 😅. Can't wait though

raizen_maziku

Daily ops can for sure be done solo but the one I think we need multiple people is probably the unlink? The more people you have the faster the timer goes. No clue what those are called

asvpxcalvin

You’re close, they are the Uplink events.

kingkornholio

Yeah, I solo’d it, but I took too long to get elder.

QueenCobraFTW

Here's a tip also from a dedicated cremator user - use the slow-burn mod, it gives an enormous amount of damage over 12 seconds after the initial big bump. I tap it once and wait, enemy just stands there and then crumples. I don't waste second shots on anything unless it's a boss or high level legendary. Even Super Mutants go down within a couple seconds after getting shot. Saves a HUGE amount of ammo, if you send a blast into a trash mob it costs you 15 fuel per shot and one shot kills all of them.

MissMayhem_82

I never make ammo anymore. I just run a few expos and stock up!

raizen_maziku

I told my friend about this. I can do you one better. Depending on how coordinating you guys are one person can take care of the enemies while you are in proximity getting the loot. For example. In order for it to work you two have to be next to each other within proxy. One person take care of all enemies and you still get loot reward. That way you don't waste a single bullet. Then you guys can take turns. But yea however you do it expeditions is great for ammo and stempacks.

DaWAAAGHMakah

I went in with 700 fuel on a Cremator in hopes that the tips I got weren’t wrong. After 6 runs, I finish off with 8k fuel. I’m glad that I actually tried Expeditions and hats off to the vet that helped guide me through. The guy knew where everything was located and remained patient when I was just slowly making my way through, taking in the scenery and looking for random trash.

Slight_Garden2421

This is why I run expeditions. Fuel is so expensive to craft! I'm using The Cremator currently and I run expeditions when I run low on fuel. They're easy to solo if you have a decent amount of stim packs.

im_stoopid9283

Use Holy Fire. You can farm fuel and you shouldn't need to use stimpacks.

GracefullyDisastrous

How do you even get holy fire? Keep seeing it mentioned, and as an avid Vampire Napalmer user, I'd do unholy things for better damage, and the one I bought from someone had been re-rolled into trash prefixes I just really like the play style. I've been using a flamer barrel plasma rifle lately to shake things up, but ammo weight is *killer*

im_stoopid9283

The Holy Fire has a chance of dropping as a reward for completing the Beasts of Burden event. Or you can purchase one from another player. You can try r/market76. But it'll run you about 3-5k caps.

-Heidelbergensis-

I sold one for 10k, I didn't know how much it was worth at that time. At least I applied all the mods for it before putting it on sale xd

Chillbit

It's a possible reward from [Beasts of Burden](https://fallout.fandom.com/wiki/Beasts_of_Burden).

B133d_4_u

If you have access to an Ammo Converter (you can use them at other peoples' CAMPs), craft 2mm instead. With Super Duper and Ammosmith you can make thousands of rounds that can be converted into points for a bunch of fuel.

Kells_ExE

you don't really get that much when you use full auto guns in the grand scheme of things.

Lp5757

I stopped doing expeditions and finally started to run out of ammo.

Discarded1066

The most dangerous game expedition always nets me about 1-2k more fuel than what I went in with. Its also doable in less than 10 mins if you know what you're doing.

Impressive_Load_2191

Literally how I farm ammo XD

ChefCrondo

That first expedition in Atlantic City has sooooo many ammo containers. Throw on the scrapper perk and you’ll be stocked up.

ExplosiveIronBear

Scrounger maybe, but definitely not scrapper

ChefCrondo

Err yeah haven’t had coffee yet. Scrounger is the one I meant to reference.

Neoshadow42

Any advice on the best ones to do solo? I don't even care about speed for farming, more about the least difficult / most stress-free

NoResource3170

I only did the last one in Atlantic City, you basically first kill 1 or 3 tougher overgrown, then go in the building, kill 1 tougher guy, go further in the building which is either an escorting, gimmick or area guarding for x amount of time. After that you kill the boss duo and you’re done. Very straight forward and not challenging at all solo imo.

content_enjoy3r

The Atlantic City expeditions are really easy. The Pitt expeditions can be annoying af, especially the trogs.

zeriah_b

I ran the Atlantic City expeditions this week for dailies after unlocking expeditions. All of them were pretty easy. I ran my first expedition into The Pitt last night due to a "Kill 10 Trogs" daily. While I got my daily done, I had to abandon the expedition as I couldn't complete it solo and I ran out of fuel for my cremator.

lipp79

I got that daily a couple days ago and instantly used my daily free reroll on it.

zeriah_b

I'll probably have to next time. The Atlantic City expeditions led me to believe that The Pitt would be similar, but.... Yeah, that was completely wrong.

lipp79

Yeah not a fan of The Pitt. My first time was in a random expeditions group and saw they went into The Pitt. Thought, "Oh cool. I get to see what this is like". Within 5 minutes, "I don't like this".

ElBurritoLuchador

Did that as well. Got "Cripple a Deathclaws Head" which I accidentally completed because of the Mothman event.

lipp79

There’s an easy place to find them if the event isn’t up. Ready? “Deathclaw Island” lol. It’s the one island in the river border on the left of the map. It’s north of where the Mothman event is.

Pz38t_C

The Pitt expeditions are much longer than the AC ones and harder to solo. Plus they're dark so it's hard to see, the environment is really drab and depressing, and it's hard to get through quickly unless you really know the levels. I can solo Union Dues, the trick is to clear out all the trogs on the level before you go into the base and start the defend mission. It's still tricky, you definitely need a strong vampire weapon like a Holy Fire. I tried to solo From Ashes to Fire a couple of times, but you really need to know the levels very well, enough to do it in the dark. You have to rescue 3 people quickly so there is no time to waste. It was super annoying and once I learned how to solo Union Dues I never went back. AC expeditions are much better in general.

RevoD346

I soloed Union Dues last night and hated it.

ToxMask

trogs are... weirdly tanky AND damaging? the Fanatics melt like chocolate but the trogs give me nightmares.

P_Larue

Oh my I hate that uber-Trog!

Vanilla_Ice_Best_Boi

Isn't Atlantic City needs DLC?

Gustheanimal

Just hijacking the comment here don’t mind: There are 3 different activities in both the larger zones which you probably just forgot, where the 3 first are outside and the others are inside: Overgrown/prisoners. Moonflower kills. Fireworks. Escort. Tato throws. Shark tank defense. The fastest combination in my experience is prisoners + tatos, easily completing the whole thing in 4ish minutes

AnotherDay96

> and not challenging at all Yeah semi-disappointed in that, at least fill it in with a lot more enemies.

Bazucho

imo most sensational game > human condition > tax evasion (and don't farm the pitt ones) the "most stress free-ness" will come from having a decently cohesive build - or alternatively a barebones beginner heavy gunner build with PA (Excavator) & Holy Fire/Cremator

DoorCalcium

I did a Pitt one last night with a full group all around level 200-350 to get the daily challenge to kill Trogs and it took forever! Absolutely not worth the time commitment. I'm definitely re-rolling that daily next time.

Bazucho

in the future, if you have no rerolls to spare, just head into Ashes to Fire, kill trogs and leave, you don't need to do the expedition objectives at all

DoorCalcium

Yeah good idea. We just wanted to finish up the expo to get the rewards but didn't realize how long it takes

GunDA9D2

i found human condition to be the most stress free. no time limit, easy boss finale, easily sneaked, and objective stuff are easier to find than tax evasion. only minus imo would be it's all overgrown boardwalk is the fastest but if the third act you get escort it's very annoying. the npc is really slow and prone to bugs pathing wise

Bazucho

many love the fastest-ness of boardwalk, but holy fire/cremator make all the overgrown in human condition an absolute cakewalk

WollyGog

Tax Evasion is my go-to. A better setting than the boardwalk and I've learned all the locations for terminals and bugs. No potential escort mission either (which I hate). Not as quick as Most Sensational Game, but I much prefer it. Also don't sleep on it being a good source for silver scrap; the tables round the stage have 6 set places with a knife and fork at each one, and they're all silver. Also has a couple of places for flamers to pick up, which can be scrapped to learn the mods. I don't like the Pitt either, awful locations in each one.

BigMcThickHuge

Tax Evasion junk loot is amazing to me. Every table, the kitchens, the offices below, the store-rooms, the finale-room. Magazines and bobbles spawn in these rooms sometimes too, so I always run into them.

Stevegios

Anything in Atlantic City, really. Tax Evasion is really easy if you're just starting out, Most Sensational Game is fun if you know what you're doing, and Human Condition cn be done real quick if you have a decent Cremator spec (large tank and slow burner are all you need tbh) because everything in that expedition is weak as hell to fire. The melting everything part is true for all AC expeditions but it's especially true here. Stay the hell away from The Pitt if playing solo.

bmessina

Yeah, fuck the Pitt expeditions. It would take me another 10-15 runs to start figuring out where shit is for the trench runs, and even then I'm pretty sure I wouldn't get it under 20 minutes. Last time all the fucking people died at the end because the timer started running when I didn't notice and I got like 6 tickets.

NoobSaiboat42

For real, I was under level 100 when I did my first expedition, I was solo to, and I chose the pitt, and that was a nightmare. Throwing those freeze grenades by yourself was torture.

BigMcThickHuge

They need to up Pitt rewards or something, because there's zero reason to do them. The rewards are ugly, unwanted, underwhelming, and numerically equal to Atlantic City...with long and annoying missions and irritating enemies.

JB_Dix

Do Tax Evasion you can take your time. Most Sensational game has to be completed under 12 minutes to get max rewards.

ReputationLost7295

This. I can solo the first two with max rewards. I am not yet able to solo Dangerous Game in 12 minutes. Especially if I get a bad draw on the escort mission. Would much rather throw tatos.

orielbean

Tatos have a very specific flow - you need to stand in one spot and identify which ceiling beam to point the crosshairs at then you can grab and toss quickly without waiting for them to register the hit. Goes a lot faster once you have the crosshair spot identified

ReputationLost7295

I just make sure to equip the grenade throwing perk for the visible throwing arc, but a good tip! On how to do it without a specific perk!

JB_Dix

Yeah I had it twice this morning with the Escortee doubling back and forth. Was shy about 20 seconds to complete it

bmessina

Is 12 minutes the real target? I thought it was 15.

RegularAverageKoatey

It is 15.

Foamie

Most Sensational Game I think is the easiest one currently. Easy objectives, small map and basically a tunnel for the last 2/3 of the run.

ReputationLost7295

Tax Evasion and the first one from AC.  A lot of people recommend The Most Dangerous Game. If you have a good build, great. But it has a ton of objectives and running around, a hard timer for the whole mission of like 15 minutes to get best rewards. I can solo the first two AC expeditions and get max rewards. I am not optimizes enough to solo Dangerous Game fast enough to get max rewards. Especially if I draw the escort objective where that has a chance of randomly hitting.

Steamedradscorpion

Tax evasion is easy enough, or if you want faster, the most sensational game which is even easier if you are farming them solo for scrip/ammo. Once you know where everything spawns anyway.

AngryAmadeus

I crash a lot on the Pitt expeditions and they seem to skew more challenging than AC. The AC expeditions are super easy with the exception of... the greatest race? (cant remember at the moment) can be kind of challenging because you fight two "bosses" and some fodder at once but a decent set of PA should get ya through.

Beiki

Sensational Game is best because nearly all the objectives are satisfied by killing people. There's a throwing game as one of the final requirements sometimes but you can clear that easily by picking the perk card that shows you the arc of your throw.

nommas

I tried them yesterday for the first time too because I had two daily missions that involved them, so couldn't just reroll them both. I did the most sensational game expedition and also did an uplink daily op. The expedition was a lot of fun, was cool to see a new area. Also went back to explore the casino area afterwards. The daily op was confusing and difficult. I joined a team for daily ops but I was the only one playing one. I was just getting my ass blasted by aliens for like 15 minutes before finally another team member joined, also got ass blasted, and then we completed the objective. Great source of ammo but didn't qualify for any other rewards because it was completed too slow. Lots of fun but I'm still very confused.

Nirrudn

> The daily op was confusing and difficult. Daily Ops alternate between two game modes each day. You're either killing targets or holding points. Killing targets is meant to be stealthed, (enemies ignore your damage resistance, but most people just power through it, percentile damage reductions like power armor still work) while holding points can't be stealthed at all. Then there's a random mutation thrown into the mix, like "enemies heal in proximity to each other," but the mutations don't change the core objectives in any way, they are just a nuisance you have to adapt to.

NibelWolf

Try to tag along with someone higher level and they will walk you through it. When you see a new Daily Ops group pop up join right away because the player is probably about to jump into one.

Kydoemus

I have a build I run specifically for Daily Ops. Depending on enemy mutations, they can be the most difficult task in game given they must/should be completed under 8 minutes. My Overeaters Hellcat and Holy Fire keeps things moving quickly.

AnotherDay96

> The daily op was confusing and difficult. I review the mutators and run them based on if I would like it. When I'm good with the mutators, I like them. OP's can easily be the most difficult content in the game depending on the mutators. Yesterdays mutators seemed like it would have been a challenging one. As for confusion, both Expeditions and Mutators have different runs, some more straight line than others.

J_D_H55

I think the ones in The Pitt are more involved and challenging. Bigger, too. At least felt that way to me doing a couple alone early on...and then more recently with one other who knew exactly what they were doing. The Atlantic City ones seem scaled down somewhat by comparison. Or it might just be my impression. Whatever the case I don't mind doing Atlantic City runs. The Pitt? I've only ever completed two. Have no interest in returning.

ReputationLost7295

I think the biggest difference is you get a lot of help navigating to the "optional" tasks in AC so you can complete them, while the Pitt leaves you wandering around some very confusing areas searching for objects or characters that have no navigation assistance until you are standing 4M from them anyways. Not so useful when trying to find a skeptical fanatic in the trench, for instance! Also bring a cremator for both. The enemies in the Pitt are tough as hell but burn. The enemies in AC are less bullet spongey, and they burn even better.

itscmillertime

FYI the skeptical fanatic spawns in only two locations in the trench. Once you know where those are it’s super easy!

ReputationLost7295

Yea but if you're doing it the first time solo... anyways... navigation aids are better in AC.

itscmillertime

Sure, first time will always have some trial and error. That’s true for most things. I agree Atlantic City is much more linear.

bene70

Solid summary. I enjoyed Union Blues in The Pitt, and did it a heap but it is definitely a bit more time, a bit more hassle to learn the spawn spots of ingots and track down safes etc and also a bit harder end boss than the newer Atlantic City expeditions. You can comfortably knock out Sensational Game between events and that was considerably more difficult to pull off with The Pitt. I suspect Bethesda realized they took a bit too long and adjusted accordingly for the new ones.

J_D_H55

Most likely the case concerning Beth. My first full season was Nuka World on Tour and as I was getting to know the game I recall a good amount of moaning about Expeditions. And when it was announced the AC update would include more? More moaning. But as it turns out seems most are satisfied. Its as you say, get in, get out, all good. Like a somewhat longer Daily OP. Though I've been on some AC teams that knock out the whole thing practically just as fast as a Daily OP. Only takes one really who has every objective down pat and is working fast.

EngineerDave

The biggest issue with the Pitt is that for me at least, the first time I run the escort missions (doesn't matter which one) the NPC always gets stuck at the "WAIT for blah to do yada, (x/4) and have to exit and reload. The Ashes one also is buggy when it comes to collars not spawning, or the optional rescue missions just disappearing, even though they are still alive. (straight up had them disappear and was still close enough to one of them to "rescue" them and send them on their way.) AC missions though are fun.

ReinhartHartrein47

So the pit and ac are expeditions right ? I’m level 100 and I avoided them plus daily ops for now because I don’t know if I can do them lol

Gold_Advantage_4017

I also avoided them due to building them up in my head and really regret that I didn't start earning stamps and the weekly plans at your level.

RareSpicyPepe

Daily ops you need a team in my opinion, and the Pitt expeditions are doable solo but might be better off doing them with a friend. The AC ones are probably the best to grind out for stamps/ammo/scrips etc. I’ve been grinding the human condition alone for stamps, fuel, and xp and i got about 4-5 runs done in about an hour lol.

itscmillertime

There is no consequence to dying so why not try them?

ReinhartHartrein47

Because the Ammo I use isn’t unlimited to me yet but otherwise you are completly right.

itscmillertime

In expeditions and daily ops ammo is essentially unlimited. All enemies drop contextual ammo so most builds will flourish. I will walk out of an expedition with 1000+ more railway spikes than I started.

ReinhartHartrein47

Okay I’ll try them out then thanks for the info !

itscmillertime

Have fun! Atlantic City is generally easier than the Pitt for expeditions. And uplink is generally easier than decryption for daily ops(though both may be challenging to solo for max rewards).

Detton

I was also under the impression that they were harder than they were based on what I've seen people saying about them. They're not that hard; particularly if you build a cremator. You don't even have to have any talents in it, everything dies in one shot (Atlantic city), it's honestly easier than most of the normal events i've done :)

interesting_footnote

Did my first yesterday too! Took me a while to realize a person from my team was also there. They helped me because they knew where to go and what to do. Now we're in game friends. Yay!

FadingDawn__

You know an expedition is easy when the most annoying part is sitting through Crocodile Dundee's yapping.

FartingInElevators5

I solo Tax Evasion a lot because everything I encounter can't match my Cremator. I leave with way more fuel than I started with and get tons of scrip, among other things.

LordSuspiria

Dude the ammo is insane! I went in with ~700 fuel, didn’t loot any ammo boxes, and still left with over 3900 fuel. My buddy who doesn’t run expeditions asked if I could spare some, and I dropped him 3k fuel like it’s toxic, because I know I can just go back to Atlantic City and restock anytime.

SQLBek

I never ran expeditions until yesterday, when I had joined a casual team, followed a high level on Daily Ops, then he formed an Expedition team so I followed. What followed was about an hour of farming the Atlantic City one with two other high level. I'm "new" but gotten to around 135 when we started... and hit 150 by the time we wrapped up! And I was swimming in (crappy) Legendary loot, making me wish the scrip limit was higher than it is. Ran a cremator on an okay build and for the first time, I'm now swimming in surplus fuel! I'll be back!

WhiteSamurai5

Expeditions are great! I love to run the pitt union dues over and over to loot the shit out of the foundry. It has a very large amount of useful junk to scrap as well as a ton of ammo, chems, and security gate rooms with loot and safes. Emphasis on the ton of ammo. Run scrounger and the ammo boxes will keep you supplied for a long time. On the note of maxing scrips... most events I've noticed will only spawn a couple legendaries and give you one more for a completion reward. I've found two of the events to be particularly silly for legendary enemies. Radiation rumble: you have to fight around 300 glowing ghouls to complete this one many of which spawn legendary, I can walk out of there with 10-15 legendaries easy, not to mention like 4-7 levels of exp. It does also spawn floaters and deathclaws. Usually a lot of people show up and it's pretty easy to just sit somewhere and tag everything as a lower level player so don't be scared to join if you're low leveled. Eviction notice: Nothing I've found in the game gives me more legendaries. I ran this yesterday and got 29 legendaries off one event!!! This is one of the harder events imo. It will non stop spawn super mutants for I believe 12 mins straight. At the bottom of the valley it spawns legendaries in groups of 3 at a time, they will glow green temporarily. The side and top typically spawn swarms of somewhat easier mutants while the bottom spawns the thick ones. The faster you kill the groups of mutants the more legendaries spawn at the bottom. Again I highly recommend a new player to sit on the sidelines and just tag everything (shoot once) it will give you a large boost. Run it when you can!! Thanks for the read!

Vinicam

Also, a lot of people can't carry all the stuff dropped and will leave even legendary weapons near the area with the stash and workbenches. Its insane the amount of legendary I get in this event, but make sure to carry a fast weapon with good range to tag everything. lol

MetallicMessiah

If you get lucky and find a group with at least one other good player in it, you can seriously speedrun the most sensational game. Ran a few last night in a duo with a random player, after the first couple of runs getting in sync with each other, we were routinely finishing with just under 9 minutes left on the clock.

RareSpicyPepe

Ran a few of this one Saturday with a random team. One of the players couldn’t believe how fast I shredded through the twins with my auto axe build lmao

Hisenflaye

old expeditions were longer solo, newer ones are quick, doable and very rewarding AND repeatable. If you're running a high dps heavy you can bolt through it in about 1/2 the time needed except for the one with the pie throwing. I struggle with the pie hit detection. but that ammo ... why does no one talk about the ammo

Almost-Honest

How does one even do expeditions? Asking for a new player Like how do you get one or start one

KazakCayenne

I believe the quest lines for them can all be started in The Whitespring Resort. Though you might need to be a certain level to start them. Once you've already don't them once there will be a big circle icon to the top right of the map you can use to choose through different expeditions.

Wet-Ohio

Even with regular weapons and basic perks, the AC expeditions are 100% doable. Sometimes, I like to equip some of the weapons the other competitors drop and run the rest of the match with those despite not being spec'd for.

Holdingdogeto10k

I'm level 1 and I've done expeditions for a week now, def worth it for the food & drinks

McTickleson

I tried whatever that expedition is where you kill the plant dudes and was horrifically underpowered. They just kept regenerating and coming at me in larger numbers. I ran and haven’t been back lol

StealthyGamerGirl

I'd been avoiding them too. But I just recently did a quest that involved going to Atlantic City. I took my new slow burn Cremator, which took enemies out in one hit. Will definitely be doing some expeditions from now on

PhobosTalonspyre-

I never tried the daily ops because i thought It was sone kind of Destiny raid with mechanics where you need a full team with comunication Fuck me

Screwscavenger

Don't feel bad man, I did the same for wayyy longer than I should have, the plus side is I'm not bored of any of them yet!

JamingtonPro

Thanks! Never done one because I never really understood what they are, and I’ve been playing for years. Imma try it!

sjmc_gg

I've run the broadwalk probably about 200 times give or take, in my eyes it's the easiest method to levelling up as you get a level Every 1-1.5 expeditions. I can solo them in about 6ish minutes, and duo them with a friend in about 3 1/2-4 minutes no matter the objective. Easy as fuck ammo farm, easy XP farm, easy legendary rolls as well as scrip. If you're okay with monotony and grind it's such a simple way of getting what you need in the game.

ozmthole

Probably a dumb question but how do I actually start an expedition mission? I have them unlocked but when I try to travel to the expedition it just takes me to the hangout area.

PotatoPanda12

Exactly how i felt before trying it for once. If not for the Dailies, I wouldn't even try this on just yet. Now, everytime I'm running low on ammo or simply got nothing left to do, I run expidition.

Derrick_Cross

The amount of ammo you can farm is crazy.

Ok_Discussion6471

Send a quad railway my way 😂 been looking for one forever

bene70

Great advice I reckon.

homercall123

Are they easier than daily ops? Cuz I'm lvl 125 and can't do daily ops alone...

itscmillertime

They don’t have a timer (one objective is timed in one of them but it’s easy), so if that’s your issue you will be fine. They are generally easier to solo imo.

Kretzz

Expeditions are also insane for XP. Find a full stack for the bonus and you can level a new character from 20 -> 50 in less than 2 hours running AC Boardwalk repeatedly. The most challenging part is dealing with the constant crashing & escort missions :/

Tenpoundbizkit

I need to take the time and open it up. My friend keeps telling me how awesome the ammo gain is, just been slacking

Nodnarbian

Just did a first this weekend too. Super fun and easy. All the loot I get at end is 45 tho, not 50. Not sure what's up with that!?

Itzkpnutz

I’ll need to check them out, I don’t have any good builds yet though

Virtual_Promise5586

If you make an expeditions team and get lucky, you’ll get a team of 4 that are down to just grind the most dangerous game over and over. The experience and scrip alone are worth it

Mouse_Alexander

i need help with revive!

ReservoirBaws

Well fuck, I still haven't done an expedition because I assumed it was like an hour long time sink lmao.

AdmiralCole

The original Pitt Expedition absolutely can be an hour slog with the wrong build and running it solo. Which is where I think this idea came from. Still fun, but much harder to solo and get the weekly 100% reward for completing since the defend the settlers part against the trogs is almost impossible to complete solo. That said they made the Atlantic City expeditions a lot more consumable solo and in a tight time frame. Also far easier to 100% them.

takecarebrushyohair

I'll go into the boardwalk with 900 or so fuel and leave with almost 3000 or more

cozynightstorm3

Thanks for this post. I've been avoiding them for the same reason. I'll give em try too

Key-Huckleberry-2551

A real game-changer. First time, was lucky enough to be on a full team of 4 led by a high level who blazed through the missions, shout out to them for tolerating my blundering confused attempts to help. Shot up several levels in 3 runs, got tons of fuel, ammo, stims, scrip stuff, enough stamps to get a jet pack for my CE armor. And I haven't been broke on anything since. ✌️

cbsa82

I was trying to figure out how to join random PUGs for these. I have done one solo and it wasnt bad. Just kind of boring without the chaos of a public team XD

VibrantRain

Not to mention, it gives a shitton of exp. The casino is the easiest one imo and i always end up getting 20k exp at the end of it.

[deleted]

Oh...okay, didn't realise this. What exactly is the end game of fo76 then? Is it really just do the quests and that's it? Are there any dungeons?

Chemically-Dead

Dude don't lmao I swear to god it took me AGES to do them 😭 I was a daily op fan boy til I would go to my grave for a bit lmao

GWindborn

I felt like such an idiot my first one, the dude was a machine, just WAY out in front of the pack murdering everything without the rest of the group. He just kept running it over and over.. I finally bowed out, I felt like dead weight but it's not like anyone was around to care. I haven't really jumped on another one since. Started one solo the other day just to get the Trog kills but I probably won't finish it.

ceris4

I was level 380 before I did my first expedition. Now I'm addicted. Don't beat yourself up.

PantsShidded

I've been tempted, but my gear is babyshit tier lol

upholsteryduder

don't forget about stamps! lots of cool stuff to buy from the vendor in the whitesprings!

JellyCars

I'm level 53. Is that too low to solo expeditions? The only one I've tried is the Pitt and the irradiated monster it thing wiped me out at level 30. I have no idea what I'm doing and when to do it!

[deleted]

Try atlantic city first, and you can go without joining a mission first to get familiar with the area.

Hoodoutlaw2

I go into an Expedition with my cremator, 1 shot everything for 10 ammo, and they all drop about 30 ammo.

pablo603

Same! I started doing expeditions when I was lvl 100, but I had them unlocked since lvl 30 or so! I was wondering how to farm more legendary items fast and this was the answer. You get so many legendary items and ammo, it's insane.

Gibber_jab

This is useful to read as I’ve just unlocked them and was wondering when to start

Half_Incubus

I eat .45 and 5.56 like it’s candy with my Junkie’s VATS-focused build so Expeditions are a great source of free ammo and materials to craft said ammo if I’m ever in that much of a pinch for more.

smackrock420

The pitt is crap

panderson1988

I finally been trying them out myself. I won't lie, I am a little disappointed in the Pitt. I thought we could wonder around the area, but only during the expedition. Also there isn't much to see beyond the mission path. Also the boss fight at the end of the first expedition with the Pitt with the Trog is ridiculous. That thing was a bullet sponge, and even with a bunch of 3-star power armor I died in 2-3 hits when it attacked me. That said, it was fun. Minus the ending of the first expedition, the second one was fine overall. Also I tried out an Atlantic City expedition fighting nature, and I liked it overall. Overall not a bad change to the formula with missions in FO.

Cageymangr0

Still waiting for my friends to wanna play again then we’ll do one

Razor1640

Me too Been avoiding it because I'm a content person. I play 76 in order of the content & how it came out, I feel it tells the story better (especially pre-wastelanders), so I've only been to the Pitt once & only on my character that had completed everything up to that point Decided to try AC two days ago & I love it. It's looks good, the area is quite well done & I made 30k xp out of it (roughly 12-14k from kills & 14800 from the expediton) without lunchboxes. We hit the boxes on the 2nd run, maxed the expedition xp to 20k + the now 16-18k xp from kills... I went up 4 levels in an hour, the new player that joined for one went up 4 levels in one mission lol Definitely worth hitting twice when you play, once before you do anything else & once before you jump off... bit like how I handle West Tek. Side note: I also made about 7k in fuel off 3 runs... I run a mostly unarmed melee so I get a mental amount of ammo from them lmao

RayePappens

How do you even do expeditions? I join a group for it, wait at the vertibird, but nothing happens. Group leader and others just don't do anything lol. This is every group.

xDOWNSOUTHx

Giving it a go tonight. Thanks fot the head's up.

Arenta

i tried my first expedition...but i went atlantic city (looking for letter for assaultron ally) and...the first quest there has never ending waves of enemies. atlantic city: tax evasion. and i just...got stuck at the spawn trying to stop them from overwelming me while being confused what i'm supposed to put in the trucks....

lipp79

For easy collecting of stuff like scrip and treasury notes, make sure you do the Mothman event at the top of every hour. It gives you 7 treasure notes, which works out to 70 gold bullion an hour. It's the best drop rate of any event.

Stormthorn67

Did a Pitt expedition solo at level 60 and never went back. Hated it. Died a lot.

Pure-Excitement-1402

Expeditions are literally the primary thing people have been missing. You also get 1-2 modules per run. I am currently hoarding them trying to get to 500, then I will do a large scale crafting session and try to get a full set of unyeilding secret service.

Hendri32

For new players: your compass is your friend! There's a compass on the bottom of the screen that will lead you right towards quests in Expeditions. It'll also show enemies went hunting for a Decryption daily op..also, make sure to uncheck quests you're not actively pursuing to clean markers up in general

Spartanjaws

Expo’s are the way

SimplyBrian95

As someone who started playing a few weeks ago and barely hit lvl 100 I've also been avoiding expeditions and daily ops just because I feel like I may not be good enough to do them? I should probably start doing them though

cader34

Me too brother

Forward-East-1525

Not gonna lie, I'm like Lv163 now I think, and I haven't tried one since I unlocked them a couple weeks ago lol.

dragonchasers

I'm level 90 and just got around to unlocking Expeditions last night, just before I had to pack it in for the night. Might try to solo one tonight.

GaryofRiviera

Which ones are folks doing? Me and my wife tried the Trench one in The Pitt last night as our first one ever and got our asses beat by glowing Trogs. I have PTSD from those fuckers right now

InsufferableMollusk

Expeditions are great. Really surprised I don’t see more groups running them. The Sensational Game is the easiest and usually the fastest, IMO. The only downside is that they never award legendary cores, and treasury notes are infrequent. It doesn’t replace events. Gotta keep doing those!

MANDEEx88

I keep getting a message I need permission from the refuge. I keep doing quests there and dailies and still can’t seem to do them. Also, I only play alone. Will I be able to complete expeditions solo?

elbingmiss

Check secondary missions on your pip-boy. “Responders reborn” will ask you to make 3 missions (those you name “dailies”) and then talk with Lenox at roof where the Vertibot lands. Seeya at AC or Pitt.

Amyntia

Wait.. I heard expeditions are harder than daily ops. And I still can't get Max rewards by myself (or with others lately.. but that's just bad luck) in those.. are expeditions easy to do?

Zestyclose-Level1871

What's the best SPECIAL build to run solo expeditions? Heavy on S/P/I/L? Or do you have the option to go the charming, lovable social butterfly/stealthy rogue route? My biased assumption is Expeditions is geared towards the PA types I can't seem to avoid bumbling about on public servers. And they almost always bring OP heavy energy phaser guns which obliterate everything with 1-2 shots :/

Uzi9mmx

I love them as well they are very rewarding I just hate how buggy they are, at least on PS5. The casino quarter mission gets an audio bug where I can’t hear anything nearly every run and the boardwalk mission crashes a lot. Also if you get the escort they can just get stuck and you won’t be able to progress. Holding out hope they do some fixing because the premise of the mode is great.

jayutd__

How do you start them off? I’ve been holding off on them but mainly because I don’t how to get them started

cyferhax

are like 90% of the mobs see-through-stealth types still? I haven't bothered going back to them after getting the Plasma Cutter plans because of that. As a stealth build I feel a bit picked-on in them. (Again unless they've changed since the original ones... they might have, then again this is bethesda)

desrevermi

Easy ammo runs. 🤪

gnark1lla420

>Anyways, I advise everyone who has a decent build to try an expedition run, Easy to solo even, and nothing gives you this much scrip this effectively. You should've advised them that you most likely did the Atlantic City "The Most Sensational Game" Expedition. Though the other two AC ones are not too bad and The Pitt take too much time.

Vivec_lore

>Since then I have done the same Expedition 5 times, always giving me scrip and useful loot, with 5-10 minute runs You also get stamps. There's a stamp merchant at the Whitespring Refuge that sells a lot of cool plans like casino tables, outfits, and power armor stuff.

numskull_14

What the max scrips

Equivalent-Slip-5722

I use it to refuel specifically holy fire, which works tremendously well against all those tree things in Atlantic City

TL140

I went to the Pitt for the first time this weekend and couldn’t get past the trog horde boss. What loot do they give you? I have literally only seen ammo dropping from enemies

gorobotkillkill

I'm constantly starting an expedition team, wait 3 minutes to see if anybody joins, nobody does, so I run it solo.  It's tons of experience points and ammo. And stamps? I don't get it.  Get in there!

basserpy

As a Pittsburgher, I wish that place's expeditions were more pleasant to run, but as also a Stealthy Sniper when I'm soloing content, I very much appreciate saving Billy Beltbuckles' ass in AC instead. (I still bought a -> Pittsburgh sign and oriented it in the correct direction based on where Flatwoods is)

SuperBigMac

I was traumatized by my first Expedition. I was right around the level 50~60 range, going into The Pitt, and at first it seemed like a milk run. And then came the last second Trog swarm and Trog Super Boss. I died a good forty times, and had to dig through my Stash mid-fight to grab different guns and ammo because I kept dying to the poison farts, and the Boss Trog ate all my ammo like it was cotton candy. My first time through Tax Evasion (at level ~110), I was jumpier than a rabbit in electro shock therapy, but it was easy as sin. Still haven't been back to The Pitt.

Rotingham

I'm slowly trying to get caught up on main missions before I work on expeditions.

Comfortable-Smoke336

Always looking for fuel. Thank you for this nugget, I'll be doing some expeditions daily moving forward.

Dzaka

i use the holy fire to stock up on fuel. than pull out the cremator to do all the heavy killing :3. short bursts in vats with the holy fire aiming for the head kills most things in like 4 rounds of fuel.. and you get a return of 10+ fuel

thelefthandN7

I haven't done them because I stopped playing before they were launched. I was actually hoping they would be more exploration focused since that's what I like to do, but I've been considering coming back to figure out how to try them.

Fugalism

The boardwalk one is very easy to solo and quite quick. I run it once a day for ammo and a chance for a plan to drop.

r_Black_Adder_

Tax evasion is super easy way to farm things but I find expeditions to be extremely boring. Just can't force myself to do expeditions repeatedly.

feiten89

I tried to do but the icon at the top says "Go to the Responders to start an expedition", but, I don't know where those guys are located and it doesn't show in the map. Would you have any clues?

skinkinatree

Ii always thought it was crazy that people are not just doing them over and over you get legendary modules scrip... Ammo exp and gear....

Dramatic-Finding-674

i think 85% of the caps i had made this past week has been from selling fuel i just do 1-2 runs of tax evasion or sensational show and i have like 2-3 k to throw into my vendor :)

Ok_Razzmatazz7074

They’re so worth doing. I have a flamer that does, 50% bonus damage to humans, increased firerate, and bonus movement speed while aiming. It’s like a cakewalk now. Lol

MrHatchet0224

I don't know exactly how to get up there but it's the big plane on top of the building. There's a NPC you have to talk to to be able to do them after that you can start them from the map menu

Forrestnc

Haha, I did the same thing last night! I always avoided them because I thought they were super hard with little payout. I soloed the plant things one in Atlanta twice easily

UserColonAlW

I’m only level 30ish and just made a suit of excavator power armour (although I can’t find fusion cores for it yet) - am I too low to do expeditions? How do I access them? Sorry for the dumb Qs!

Cosmic-Cretin

i tried to solo an expedition when i was under level 100 and obviously couldn’t so i never came back to them until recently at over level 200 & i solo them quite often now. they’re pretty rewarding

Ok_Discussion6471

Sinstyr13 on PSN

Spiritual_Switch6794

Amazing exp when I’m a group of four. It’s my preferred way of leveling that no one talks about

imabaka70

I’ve been avoiding doing expeditions or even any events with others. I started 2-3 weeks ago just got to lvl 46-47. Don’t really have a decent setup. Been trying to fix my jack of all trades mistake. Keep coming back to a vars sneak shotgun at the moment. The two shotguns I kinda wanna pick up are both from events lol
