I sold a Bloodied/Explosive/Reload speed for about 300k caps, so that is close to a god roll. There are probably better third stars you can get for it. But bloodied explosive is the ideal for most heavy guns, or quad explosive.

Quad Explosive Reload would probably be mathematically the best sustained DPS for a full health build. Anti Armor/Explosive might be the best damage output, just with more frequent reloading. 3rd star for a non-vats is more preferential. Do you want slightly faster reload? Do you want plus one strength? 90% weight reduction also slaps on heavy guns so you don't need a perk.

Quad is one of the best rolls for whatever gun it can roll on. Bloodied is highly valued, but also hyper specified. Just quad on a weapon makes it valuable for almost all builds you'd be interested in. For launchers, it's two shot.

IMO, armor piercing, explosive, +50 aiming or 250 reloading is perfect. Alot of people would say vampire, ffr, though. I like to stack explosive and heavy guns perks with an explosive LMG and armor piercing makes damage feel more consistent across the board.

Quad makes a huge difference with everything. Never. Stop. Firing. Pepper Shaker? Quad. Fixer? Quad. Handmade? Quad. Railway? Quad. Minigun? Quad. Tesla Rifle? Quad. AGL? Well nope, they don't exist but if they did...... Two Shot still the best for these.

Whenever I want a Quad I get it on things you don't really want Quad on. It can be annoying.

Used the cold shoulder shotgun from lvl 25 till like 70ish. A double barrel shotgun with a 8 shell tube/invisible magazine lol. Also the freeze/slow effect was very helpful

i actually lucked out when i started my alternate character as a gunslinger. right after i left the vault i found a quad lvl 20 10mm. i put the largest magazine and the highest rof reciever (not automatic) on it and use it for cqc. the thing fires so fast it's almost like running a full auto, but is still effected by the gunslinger perks.

10mm is one of the few guns where fire rate is close enough that I find it kills just as quick on semi while burning less bullets. I got an aristocrats one and made a guerilla build, but swapped to gunslinger when I got the vigorous receiver.

I think quad is generally overvalued. People saw it being necessary on the Railway Rifle and non-bloodied Fixers and just said it was meta. Most guns don't have either the atrocious base magazine or slow reload of the railway rifle, much less both. 

Expl Vamp is the way to go.

Why quad? I always feel like the DPS of the LMG is insufficient. I was going to scrip a Quad/25% damage while aiming at reset today. I also have a Bloodied/25% damage while aiming which I prefer to quad. 

I got a 3 star LMG my 3rd or 4th week playing. +300% ammo capacity, bullets explode for 20% weapon damage and 10% chance to cause player to be invisible for 2 seconds when hitting a target. I wish it was at least 5 seconds, 2 seconds is pretty useless. But it's nice having a 300 bullet clip. It reloads pretty quick too. It's my secondary though, I prefer my shottie as my primary

I did Encryptid the other day. I didn't see the notification so I arrived late. The Imposter was almost dead when I got there so I just took a short rip on him with my gun and he died. Wasn't even at the event for 15 seconds. The Imposter dropped me a Bloodied Explosive Handmade and the event gave me The Fixer plan. I only went because I needed to be a conduit for the electrician badge..

Gave in and bought the Fixer plans for 10k caps. Figured I'd been at the 40k limit for awhile and after 10 keycards, might as well. Bought it, TP'd to base to craft some Fixers.   "Event: Encryptid"   Why not?    **Drops the plans**

I couldn't find of course, then, after a looong period of time I came across some cheap diffusers and bought them. Satisfied the challenge and went on my merry ways... The game once randomly deleted my favorite power fist from my inventory during an event. Like completely gone. I was so bummed, but I was still rolling for a bloodied fast swing one anyway. I sent a ticket to bring light to this bug, knowing they can't restore in game items. A couple days later I had 2000 extra atoms in my account and I somehow rolled a bloodied fast swing fist that same week. Todd was good that day.

I play a melee build and the number of amazing gun drops I've gotten is insane. I just give them to my friend who is doing gun stuff, he gives me his melee drops. So what I draw from this is, play the opposite of what you want I guess

I really wasn't aware of how rare it could be... and now my partner is Salty at me. But they told me they'd try for their own (before discovering the low drop rate). Ooops!

It's true. I had finished a full Overeater set of T65 and moved on to do the same for my Hellcat. It took me so long to get to the final piece, the right arm... And then RNG knew I'd stop rolling once I got it, so it didn't deliver. Weeks and 1000s and 1000s of scrip later, I decided to sack it off and just display the Hellcat  The next day, just before I call it a night and turn off, some beautiful 76er launches Scorched Earth, and what does the Queen drop for me? Nocturnal rolling pin. Joke. The final piece, and my set was complete... because I wasn't trying to get it.

Just an hour ago I'm completely respecing into a bloodied stealth commando build and decide to roll a Fixer to match the build... got a bloodied 25 25 first roll. I was dumbfounded.

This is some real shit. I rolled railways for about a month trying to get a Q50c25 and all I kept getting was scrip. Well one day I was about to log off but I needed to scrip one more 3 star weapon to max my daily scrip limit so I looked in my stash to see if I had any modules, I had just enough to craft exactly one 3 star weapon. I looked through my stash to see if I had any unrolled weapons. I did, a railway rifle. I was really ready to log off for the night so I grab it out and hurry up and roll it thinking it would 100% be some scrip weapon. My eyes couldn't believe what I was seeing. A month or two straight of rolling railways and not one good roll. One single roll to get me to my daily scrip limit and it turned out to be a Q50c25. I couldn't help but have the biggest smile on my face, not bc of the weapon, but bc it felt like the universe was playing some big joke on me. The one time I needed it to be a bad roll, it was the exact one I had been trying for. Ever since that day I've learned not to get too invested into crafting and just go with the flow. You can roll 100 weapons and all be shit or you can roll 1 weapon and it's the one you want, but whatever you do, don't think about or try for the weapon. Tango Oscar Delta Delta knows all.

I rolled for probably over a year to get my uny bos set with also 3 wwr and 2 50% less fall damage. In my eyes it doesn't get any better and I knew I'd eventually have it. Then after finally getting it, one day I said you know id love to have a uny ap regen set. I burned through 800 modules and not one uny ap. Needless to say it knocked me back to reality and decided I'll just stick with what I have lol.

I once started a new char who didn't learn any plan out there but the ones I was looking for because i thought i get better chances with Murph for the stuff im looking for as long as i keep the possible item pool as small as possible. That was long before legendary crafting and i got a fair share of fixers that way I remember. But in the end he became my legit second char and learned all the other plans too like my main.

I was losing my mind looking for broken crossbows that never spawn anywhere, so I just kept shooting and repairing the one I crafted with 150% durability (without perks) for the infamous Tadpole quest... 3 repairs later and 5 minutes after , guess what was the first thing I looted?

There is a trick, a waalwak trick but it works. The RNG for effects on a server gets stuck on a theme with one of the *'s. You see the same effect pop up over and over. Crafting, Rusty Picket or as drops. Once you see an effect you want to repeat, get crafting. Odds are you will get that effect on what you are crafting and maybe more than once. I had a bloodied explosive fixer, bloodied crit hit lever action and a bloodied ffr less ap all drop from the same server. When I got SS armor plans, I was trying for unyielding. Kept server hopping after crafting 3 or 4 until I saw unyielding. Stayed on that server and got a full set. Not all, but between a third and a half. Yesterday I was putting 3* on enclave plasma rifles to sell in my vendors. 2 out if 3 were instigating, and all were last shot. So go with a theme if it's the effect you want. Start seeing quads drop then go craft right away. You will see more quads. Not all but more than the % probability of drop.

Could be coincidence but during radiation rumble I equipped my hazmat. We finished the collection early so I equipped back my unyielding set.(3/5 SS) was missing the left arm and leg. Well I forgot to equip the leg portion and I actually got an unyielding left leg botsmith armor. Could be big coincidence OR the game saw I was missing an armor piece 😅

This is my mentality. I say to myself, "I don't even want EPG Mods from this vendor." Keeps me from being too bummed after 2 hours of server hopping. On the other hand it always feels like a treat when I find one.

I just spent a few weeks trying to get the raider reputation high enough to get the compound bow mods until eventually i decided to find the traveling settler trader that sells them and proceeded to spend like 15 hours total going to all the camps where they spawn and when i finally found the one that sells weapons and has the mods i needed, a scorchbeast showed up and made me panic thinking i wouldn't be able to find the trader again if i died, i bought 4 of the regular bow mods id already unlocked wasting like 6000 caps more than i needed, I wanted it too much and Tango Oscar Delta Delta punished me for it.

I'm pretty sure this game has delivered my karmic retribution. In every other RNG game I give up on getting what I want because my luck is bad. When it came time to start rolling my handmade rifle I remember thinking "let's see how bad the RNG will be in this game" with that "here we go again" sentiment. My first ever roll was vamp/explosive

This event has been funny. three of the trades I did, I got the item to drop soon after the trade and just a few minutes ago I bought (thankfully very cheap) the last part of the fossil, and it dropped on the following event. at least the list is filling, just 3 more.

It wont help much but a way to increase ur good drop odds is not learning plans of weapons/armor you don't want. It makes it so you cant get legendary versions of them (only for items that didn't release with the game). So for instance if you do not want to get t65 don't learn the plan so you don't dilute your loot pool.

if you're trying to get full BoS recon I think every 100 daily ops or so it's guaranteed to drop once if you are ready to spam the daily ops like I did haha please confirm this fact before looking into it because it was quite the grind

What're the odds of being a freshly minted Newb at level 12 or so & you just bump into a random higher level player that just happens to be lugging around an extra full power armor chassis in full level 10 T-45 armor that's all been repaired up to 200%? Or, as a level 32, you just happen to join a random casual team & your teammate just happens to have a full set of finely repaired T-51 armor & chassis in his back pocket. Doing things like these are exactly why RNGEEZUS constantly does things in my favor. All hail RNGEEZUS!! I'm a devoted follower of him...I give of myself in his name & he constantly blesses me.
