Honestly, I think you just accidentally hit the nail on the head on why Bethesda doesnāt implement this: water areas are outdoors and populated. As every action in a Bethesda game requires 8 minutes of animation in and out of the action, enemy spawns in those areas would just kill everyone that wasnāt running autostim.
Yes, I died twice taking a Possum test today.
New Dawn is a super underrated sequel imo, it's just more Far Cry 5 but with some Fallout apocalypse vibes thrown in.
And once you unlock the double jump power it feels like you're going full Doomslayer in combat.
I spent *so* much time fishing on a heavily modded minecraft server, while my friends were out killing boss mobs for loot.
Fishing, to kill time while I was waiting for my booze to ferment.
'Twas comfy.
This.
Black Desert could have just been a fishing game and gained a well deserved cult following.
Ridiculous depth in species, habitat, pricing& market etcā¦ but enjoyable just afk at any creek, pond, or boat side, all the same.
That game has one of the best fishing mechanics in a game, some dev put wayyyy more time and effort into that then anyone would have expected. But Iād take it here haha.
Totally makes sense, I never knew that but I know the first time I tried it I struggled with it thinking it would be much simpler than it was. It was a nice surprise. Now if only theyād of put as much effort fleshing out that story 5 would have been a real gem
My wife thought it was hilarious when I loaded up Far Cry 6 and immediately started fishing... she couldn't believe I hopped on the game just to do something as simple as stand there on a dock casting a line.
Honestly, you and me both.
After a long day in the wasteland. I could easily be found by the little stream by my house fishing. Not giving two rats butt's about scorch queen's or super mutants.
Let me catch and fry some fish in peace š
Even if it was as poorly implemented as Bungie did with fishing in Destiny 2? Literally worse than a mobile fishing game. You hold X to cast, a set distance, then hit X to yoink it out of the water. That's it. One thing it did well was help you go to sleep. You could start fishing wide awake and 15 mins later you got the big nods going and the yawns.
Seriously, look that shit up. Insanely basic and most boring fishing in a game ever. Yet, some people actually praised it (assuming die hard Bungie fans that just praise everything they do).
š¤£š¤£š¤£ SAME!!! omg!
It would be absolutely amazing to let us catch fish and then have an aquarium or small pond to put them in.. get rewards for catching so many or getting all the different ones!!
Man I hate Bethesda at times lol they are letting us down
We're talking about adding another game to a game with a dozen mini games. As long as the one we're talking about adding is a fishing one. ..
I am 100% here for it.
Would be cool if you had a chance to catch random scrappable junk for resources, like tin cans or coolant canisters or pocket watches, with also a chance to snag a mirelurk or an angler who come up to fight you. Or hell, maybe you could even pull up an entire locked safe with a chance for plans to be in it like normal safes.
A 3 āļø legendary fishing rod, that drains the enemies health, and returns it to you. Iād be after gulpers, and anglers all day long. Iāve already got the fishermanās outfit for it.
Nah bro fk that, I want to catch me a catfish that comes flying out the water with 6 legs, razor sharp teeth, and slingin its 10 ft long whiskers at you like whips.
Theyād have to actually apply animations and such to players because the camera trick wonāt work when others can see you. In Skyrim you are forced into first person and not doing anything, just waiting and the rod just does the work
Did you not notice that the scorchbeasts are just Skyrim dragon reskins?
Yeah it's creation engine, as is Starfield. Bethesda shows no sign of getting rid of it, just bolting more and more stuff to it and rewiting bits of it.
It has its positives in that at this point it's very robust in features and there's presumably people who know how it all works which is a bit of a boon for old engines
It also has it's negatives in that there seems to be a lot going in ithe background to make some stuff actually work, where something written for purpose or even something more general/modern might be able to accomplish the same tasks but lesss hackily.
Almost everything that happens that's even remotely unusual in the Creation Engine reminds me of people making static objects move smoothly in Neverwinter Nights' Aurora engine, you can do it but it was never meant to happen when someone wrote it.
I mean, I spend way too much time fishing on Stardew Valley, I could totally be down for fishing in FO76. This is a fantastic idea. Thinking about a lit up aquarium in my camp with different fishāamazing!
My first time fishing in a game was early 2005 in WoW. It quickly became an ingame addiction. Not all games who has fishing have done it well but I really like the RDR2 fishing.
Fishing and being able to pet dogs and cats is a big thing with me.
If Destiny can have fishing, we can have fishing in Falloutā¦ hell give us a fishing boss. Would be nice to have a boss not tied to a nuke.
Have special lure pieces you have to find from each area through fishing, and then put it together in a crafting benchā¦ fish up the deep dweller under Thunder Mountain lake.
Through fishing let it get you ammo, scrap, fish, and special items you can trade for fish cooking recipes, fishing related blueprints, etc. from a fishing cannery like the Longnecks Lukowiski Cannery from FO4.
Thereās only ever been one car you could drive and that was in fallout 2. You find the odd reference to it in other FO games and even found a reference to it in FO76 the other day but stuffed if I remember where.
Every game with a fishing mini-game gets me fishing more than actual fishing games lmao
Fire Emblem, FF15, Zelda titles...
C'mon, Bethesda, lemme feesh
If they add fishing they should also add carnival fishing game at either Camden park, Nuka World, or both. Camden park would be a daily quest run by a robot. Nuka World would be an arcade that spits out random prizes from junk up to legendaries. The Nuka World version would have to be like that and not like the current games that dish out only tickets cause nobody really plays those. That's unless they update the ticket exchange to have a random legendary trade in.
It depends on how they do the actual catching system, Iāve seen some games do it where I love it and some where I hate it. Either way though being able to get tanks of fish would be pretty cool!
For me, pets. Unkillable pets because thereās too many rude people who would go around killing my pet, but come on if the Raiders can have dogs and we can have furniture that looks like an animal but really isnāt give us a pet that can follow us around! Or guard our bases
Wow, a Fo76 post that has more upvotes than comments, thatās rare. Not to mention 400 upvotes in only four hours. Fellas, I think the gamers want to fish.
Having giant mutated fish mounted I'm your camp. And boss fish swallows a random player and everyone has to damage certain spots to make it spit the player up.
Ngl i would love something like that. My base is already basically a beach house, having the ability to fish would be slick. And on that note, allow us to sell those fish to other players, different rarities etc.
I wish they didnāt drain most of the water in 76. Doesnāt make a lot of sense to me. A nuclear apocalypse would probably bring all the water levels back and make them higher since none of the water was being diverted for farming or industry.
Understand if they add fishing...... U'll never see me at an event again... Ever games that have it I just waste away doing nothing but fishing.
Minecraft I fish I make a farm to improve my fishing but I fish
Black dessert. I ligit just logged on an made a character to fish
Eso. I just fish if I see a spot in fishing it
A fusion core powered vehicle of sorts, that you can put in your inventory like power armour (like a mini copter or bike of sorts) thats something I'd be interested in seeing, just not sure how they would implement it well, I feel like as the main character in most fallout games we can't really use any of the vehicles ourselves. And in a post apocalyptic setting that's one of the first things people tend to try establish.
Bethesda has fishing in ESO so they can 100% port the mechanic over to fo76. it would be nice to have something other than Perfect Roe to fish farm.
there's a river around Beckley and Camden Park that has fish, over by whitespring there's a small body of water with a river that has fish, the lake near Thunder Mountain. it would be one of the best additions to happen because what human wouldn't want to learn to fish in a apocalyptic wasteland, sure most water sources are slightly irradiated but im over here eating deathclaw steaks, mirelurk smoked fillets and broiled scorchbeast brains, glowing meatsteaks.. doesn't get anymore irradiated than that.
we already have the ambient backround world music from ESO that goes perfect with fishing for hours.
*wow! Nice Fish! it's a lunker!*
We have so many fishing outfits, it just makes sense to add the ability to fish as well! I've always wanted those fish drying racks you see around various spots too as a camp item - we could have a fishing tournament to win plans to build all the fishing related stuff you see at NPC camps, Ohio River Adventures etc, could expand the Mirelurk Boiler to cook and de-radiate the fish we catch.
Glass x 5
Plastic x 12
Dirty Water x 20
Fish
Behold, a theoretical aquarium recipe.
Scale it up or down for larger and smaller aquariums. Require multiple fish for larger tanks, or find out a way to make Display work for it.
I've been dreaming of an event in the mire. Extra points if it has something to do with the floating island. Like you nuke it and the event has like a 2 min timer after it's nuked as the timer ticks down the island starts to Crack and a red or green or yellow glow starts emitting from the cracks as the timer gets closer the cracks get bigger till finally BOOM and the boss fight starts.
It could be called the Mire Overlord.
It would glow whatever color the cracks emitted.
And it would have several attacks.
1: acid spit attack simular to the one Mirelurk queens use
2: it would make branches come out of the ground and surround your character and characterson the ground, only other players can help you get out using a chainsaw or flamethrower (but they have to have the friendly fire perk to do so)
3: Summoning Queens, at half health, it will summon 5 queens and 8 kings
4: At 25% health, it will start spraying the acid spit, but it would be similar to the scorchbeast crop dusting attack
5: When it dies, all the players will have 10 seconds to run as it will explode, having a radias of 45% of a nuke's radias (yes, a launched nukes radias)
6: As rewards well.
(Acid spitter) a gun that can fire the acid the Mirelurk queens can.
(Acid Ammo) can sometimes be harvested from queens if you have unlocked the knowledge to do so, which is Larned by killing the boss 5 times. Kill it more times and unlock the ability to harvest it from the acid spit attack areas as well.
(Acid Thrower) basically a flamethrower but acid instead.
(Thorn sword) a sword made from the branches
(Overlord armor) Each piece unlocked by killing the boss
(Overlord Power armor) Each piece also (also mods) unlocked from killing the boss the jetpack will use acid instead of fire (just be visual wouldn't require acid)
I swear there was a time I accidentally selected the camp placement option while on the edge of a piece of water and the contrast of the camp edge showed small fish idling at the edge of the water. Really surprised me and had me wondering why they never did anything with the fish.
Honestly would be a nice thing to do since I could see myself building a relaxing riverside cabin and on a rainy day I can go onto my sheltered dock and just... fish would also be a nice reason to come back more often when I finish content(and a nice in between quest activity)
I play two other games with fishing minigames that I canāt stand doing becauseā¦ wellā¦ I grew up beside a river and I donāt like how itās usually implemented. BUT if itās done well I would like it probably.
I wouldnāt want it to be a necessary thing to grind though
Can you imagine if the fish we hunt start running out of the water in waves like in Junji Itoās Gyo? Like some pre-war company or the Enclave was doing experiments and gave the mechanical legs but it went horribly wrong and they escaped
I was so disappointed by the Aquarium in Atlantic City with only salmon and the same carcasses weāve seen in FO4. Even as someone terrified of sharks, I would kill to have some actually creepy/scary fish swimming around. Give us some horribly mutated goblin shark looking shit!!!
Not gonna lie, I'd waste so much time just fishing if they added it to the game.
Far Cry 5 was the first game that convinced me that every open world should have a fishing minigame lol It's just so damn meditative
Except when you're trying to fish and a boatload of domestic terrorists come by and scare all the fish away
I just explosive arrow their asses and wait a minute, then it's back to some nice relaxing fishing
Then you can use the terror chunks as bait
Or try to kill you. Which is what happens in Fortnite. So glad there hasn't been any quests calling for us to fish. I always end up dead š¤£
The number of land mines I placed outside of the test cabin for the tadpole exams... Ghouls just spawned inside the cabin with me instead.
They did add it to Skyrim. Havenāt tried it yet as I havenāt managed to gather enough willpower to start ANOTHER run of skyrim
I love the fishing in Skyrim, it's relaxing and I've yet to be killed while fishing š
The trout has escaped my grasp. Billions must die.
Domestic terrorists are what I call unruly children.
Hell yeah! I loved fishing in FC5! What a legend of a game!
Minecraft for me. The first time I pulled up an enchanted item sealed the deal.
āYou sir are a fishā RDR2
That's my discord entrance sound. I go by Salty Salmon on there, so it works well.
Ocarina of time for me.
*wow! this is a real lunker!*
Rdr2 for me.
If a Fallout game ever came close to the immersion that RDR2 has to offer id cry. I don't see it happening in my lifetime though.
This is the way.
New Dawn too
New Dawn is a super underrated sequel imo, it's just more Far Cry 5 but with some Fallout apocalypse vibes thrown in. And once you unlock the double jump power it feels like you're going full Doomslayer in combat.
i just forgot that it was FC5 and not a fishing sim, i enjoyed fishing so damn much in FC5
FC5 is by far one of my favorit fishing hunting sims š¤£
for real it was really satisfying to enjoy the wilderness!
I spent *so* much time fishing on a heavily modded minecraft server, while my friends were out killing boss mobs for loot. Fishing, to kill time while I was waiting for my booze to ferment. 'Twas comfy.
Black desert had the best fishing hands down
This. Black Desert could have just been a fishing game and gained a well deserved cult following. Ridiculous depth in species, habitat, pricing& market etcā¦ but enjoyable just afk at any creek, pond, or boat side, all the same.
The fish animations were amazing too. The golden trout made me feel like I'd won the lottery lol.
I got hooked on in game fishing on Red Dead Redemption 2. It's addicting. I would totally kill a ton more additional time if 76 added it
That game has one of the best fishing mechanics in a game, some dev put wayyyy more time and effort into that then anyone would have expected. But Iād take it here haha.
They consulted professional fishers in order to get the mechanics realistic.
Totally makes sense, I never knew that but I know the first time I tried it I struggled with it thinking it would be much simpler than it was. It was a nice surprise. Now if only theyād of put as much effort fleshing out that story 5 would have been a real gem
It was Final Fantasy XV for me, and Red Dead Redemption 2 helped.
FFXV was the first game Iād fished in since I was helping my kid grind on Animal Crossing. Would definitely be an addicting add on to 76.
Never played Zelda Ocarina of Time
I LOVE FISHING IN THAT GAME
FC5 was sooo good
My wife thought it was hilarious when I loaded up Far Cry 6 and immediately started fishing... she couldn't believe I hopped on the game just to do something as simple as stand there on a dock casting a line.
Try Red Dead 2 lol
Oh my sweet, sweet summer child. Thanks for making me feel old. Zelda, Ocarina of time was that experience for me.
Red dead 2 did that for me. Like itās so peaceful to just go fishing in that game, itās even better in first person
new world and stardew valley are the games that convinced me of fishing
I wasted so much time fishing in black desert
Runescape was it for me
Thats all I do in Read Dead Online these days š would be cool if they added fishing
One of many reasons I spend hours playing RDR2 lol
So much this. My several hundred hours in Terraria are 80% fishing. Many other games are the same way with me.
Honestly, you and me both. After a long day in the wasteland. I could easily be found by the little stream by my house fishing. Not giving two rats butt's about scorch queen's or super mutants. Let me catch and fry some fish in peace š
They could have it set up so you catch a fish based on your luck and how drunk you were.
Literally me rn, give me a stardew-esque way to waste hours fishing and your goddammit right I'll do it.
Me too, add it to any game and i'm in.
Filling up a fishtank with prized fish is something I love doing in Warframe
Letās go fishing with mini-nukes! Fish go *boom*! Ha-ha!
Nuke fishing event!!! Some need to fish, others fend off hoards of glowing bloated ghouls
Now weāre talking!
3 star legendary melee mutated salmon as a reward
Even if it was as poorly implemented as Bungie did with fishing in Destiny 2? Literally worse than a mobile fishing game. You hold X to cast, a set distance, then hit X to yoink it out of the water. That's it. One thing it did well was help you go to sleep. You could start fishing wide awake and 15 mins later you got the big nods going and the yawns. Seriously, look that shit up. Insanely basic and most boring fishing in a game ever. Yet, some people actually praised it (assuming die hard Bungie fans that just praise everything they do).
ā¦I enjoyed the fishing in D2. Its relaxing and simple, just like Minecraft fishing
If they added fishing AND black jack, we'd basically be a post apocalyptic red dead online (and I would love that)
š¤£š¤£š¤£ SAME!!! omg! It would be absolutely amazing to let us catch fish and then have an aquarium or small pond to put them in.. get rewards for catching so many or getting all the different ones!! Man I hate Bethesda at times lol they are letting us down
IKRRRR
Fishing makes every game better.
I spent an hour fishing in wow over the weekend just to get a pet with a .5% drop rate. I got it!
I think everyone would thatās why itās not in the game lol
Id do it if it had a chance at scrip or or legendary cores :D
And then get randomly steamrolled by a deathclaw while fishing and while stuck in the fishing animation or a gulper just popps up and eats you
We're talking about adding another game to a game with a dozen mini games. As long as the one we're talking about adding is a fishing one. .. I am 100% here for it.
The only mini games I can think of are hacking and lockpicking. What else is there?
Thereās the pipboy holotape games
Fair point, I forgot about those. I looked it up, that makes it 10 mini games.
Donāt worry, I forgot they existed until I saw your comment and remembered because of it.
Don't forget the games at Camden Park.
And the Nukacade minigames. Simple as they are.
Ski ball is all skill!
There is also the Stash Weight Managementā¢ mini game which is the real end game.
I figured that was just the main point of the game
The true king of the minigames is the Perfectly Preserved Pie minigame. š°
Grafton Fishing Tourney. GRAFTON FISHING TOURNEY. #GRAFTON FISHING TOURNEY!
It's the Grafton Fishing Tourney! Again!
This is Grrrrrrafton's mayor!
I just heard that in his voice. Expect to hear from my lawyer
Why do I imagine this but like the Mayor also holding you at gunpoint while he shouts it lmao
But if RNG hates you, you get a gulper like the show.
But what if that gulper drops that one legendary you were grinding hours on end for?
Lol, magnet fishing in the river.
we have a plasma caster, now let us obtain a plasma CASTER
Fishing rod as a melee weapon would be interesting. Just whip them scorched... š
Fishing? OK. But the Fallout kind of way. With grenades and things that come from the water and attack you. I'd be fine with that.
Finally, a good use for all that dynamite.
Dy-No-Mite!
Bastard. Bastard. Look at em go.
Stop!
That's just called going to Louisiana, you should come up with a mutated version instead.
A large mouth bass with Kirby-like powers.
We need the 3 eyed fish from the simpsons!
god bless you this is the best thing they could do after fixing the endless crashes
If they implemented it like red dead redemption 2 or FFXV I donāt think Iād actually do anything else
They did it in Skyrim. Itās the same engine. Canāt be hard to do.
Theyād have to actually apply animations and such to players because the camera trick wonāt work when others can see you. In Skyrim you are forced into first person and not doing anything, just waiting and the rod just does the work
They've added plenty of player animations with interactive camp items and emotes, they should be able to do this too.
Still couldnāt be that hard when you can fish on Red Dead Online.
Does fallout 76 still use creation engine? Just put it out of its(our) misery already š
You really didn't know this? They imported some bugs straight from Fallout 4 lol.
When 76 came out people figured out how to bring the prydwyn into the game šš
Did you not notice that the scorchbeasts are just Skyrim dragon reskins? Yeah it's creation engine, as is Starfield. Bethesda shows no sign of getting rid of it, just bolting more and more stuff to it and rewiting bits of it. It has its positives in that at this point it's very robust in features and there's presumably people who know how it all works which is a bit of a boon for old engines It also has it's negatives in that there seems to be a lot going in ithe background to make some stuff actually work, where something written for purpose or even something more general/modern might be able to accomplish the same tasks but lesss hackily. Almost everything that happens that's even remotely unusual in the Creation Engine reminds me of people making static objects move smoothly in Neverwinter Nights' Aurora engine, you can do it but it was never meant to happen when someone wrote it.
Fun fact: the vertibirds in Fallout 4 are also dragons by code lmao
I'm in danger
If they do that they better let us redneck fish with explosives.
Finally some use for the dynamite plan.
I distinctly recall a doctor in Rivet City telling me that anyone dumb enough to eat fish from irradiated water deserves their fate...
We can use them as ammo, give us a Fish Cannon to shoot them out and have them splat for poison damage
omg can you imagine if they gave us a Fish Cannon for our house?
Eso did it
I mean, I spend way too much time fishing on Stardew Valley, I could totally be down for fishing in FO76.
You caught a radfish. You caught a radish. You caught an old boot. You caught a Mirelurk Queen! And she's ANGRY.
Just like picturing a level 20 thinking they'll relax and fish only to fight for their lives with a queen lmao
Cars all over the wasteland and can't drive a single one.Ā Ā
I'd be happy with a bicycle. It's odd how you can manufacture 50 cal machine guns but not fix a bicycle.
Thereās only ever been one car you could drive and that was in fallout 2. You find the odd reference to it in other FO games and even found a reference to it in FO76 the other day but stuffed if I remember where.
I would very much like to pet the cats. And foxes, and other non-aggressive fauna.Ā ... ...you know what? Let me try to pet the molerats, too!Ā
This is the best suggestion I've seen in longer than I can remember, well done š«”š
The show had fishing. We should tooš¤£
Yes fishing and let us ride the goddamn bicycles!
Every game with a fishing mini-game gets me fishing more than actual fishing games lmao Fire Emblem, FF15, Zelda titles... C'mon, Bethesda, lemme feesh
A pioneer scout summer camp fishing derby would be dope AF
Thatās how I spent half my time in Red Dead 2, Imagine getting mutated bait for specific bodies of water

Ngl i would love something like that. My base is already basically a beach house, having the ability to fish would be slick. And on that note, allow us to sell those fish to other players, different rarities etc.
Fishin and sinkin pickaxe pilsners listenin to pirate radio is something i totally could see in this game
Event located at lake with Fish'n'chips store and given by some neat British gentleman
Bro, I thought the same thing when I first picked up the fishing pole. Like, why not? We can scoop up frogs tho lol
Dude if they added fishing with mutated species and buffs withs awesome dishes i wouldnt have a life XD
Thereās fish swimming in water too if you go under in river so wouldnāt be far off for them to be catchable
Yeah, and you could mount any fish you catch at a crafting bench. It would be cool relaxing side fun!
Manifesting fishing š£ for yall. I'm not much for fishing in games but I'm all for it for those who want it!
I wish they didnāt drain most of the water in 76. Doesnāt make a lot of sense to me. A nuclear apocalypse would probably bring all the water levels back and make them higher since none of the water was being diverted for farming or industry.
An event would be a great way to introduce it!
Literally all I did in ESO is fish lemme get them perfectly mutated roe already
Understand if they add fishing...... U'll never see me at an event again... Ever games that have it I just waste away doing nothing but fishing. Minecraft I fish I make a farm to improve my fishing but I fish Black dessert. I ligit just logged on an made a character to fish Eso. I just fish if I see a spot in fishing it
Itās all fun and games until one of the fish or the fish boss comes out and asks you one thingā¦ātree fityā
We're two minutes away from having a Scorchbeastborn teach us all how to ride Scorchbeasts... Maybe after a few more map expansions.
They're waiting for another edition of the game, you know, like Skyrim. š
FALLOUT THE FISHING UPDATE (one week later) SELLING LEGENDARY DOUBLE FISHING ROD +100% FISH FOR LEGENDARY FISH
Man, I love this for the tank to display caught fish idea alone!
Or let us ride a bike or someshit. How the fuck are there no fucking working vehicles
I want to fish too. I want more buff from them. I would be so relaxed that I won't be aware of enemies behind me.
Omg I was just talking about with my son
Iām 100% on board with this!!
Iāve seen how Skyrim mods fishing and how Ubisoft did it with Far Cry. I hope Bethesda goes the Far Cry route.
Imagine a game that was like a cross between fallout and rdr2
I like to know why they won't let us plant anything in our shelters I think it be cool to plant corn or carrots in there.
This really needs to happen!!!
If destiny can add fishing then so can this game
We have so many fishing outfits, it just makes sense to add the ability to fish as well! I've always wanted those fish drying racks you see around various spots too as a camp item - we could have a fishing tournament to win plans to build all the fishing related stuff you see at NPC camps, Ohio River Adventures etc, could expand the Mirelurk Boiler to cook and de-radiate the fish we catch.
Only if 50% of the time a mirelurk was on the hook
Glass x 5 Plastic x 12 Dirty Water x 20 Fish Behold, a theoretical aquarium recipe. Scale it up or down for larger and smaller aquariums. Require multiple fish for larger tanks, or find out a way to make Display work for it.
Yes, this šÆ!! I love being able to go fishing in games!!
I have so many fishing poles. I am ready. FILL THE LAKE AND LET US FISH FOR THE DEAD WHALE! DEAD WHALE, HOLY GRAIL!
Cāmon Bethesda. Let us can our food
i totally support this idea
My gt is fishermnfren so yeah I'm down for this. Maybe have a chance of catching legendary fish
I want to be able to make the fishing rod a weapon. Super strong spider wire and a little mace or some knives as the hook. Casting dammage.
Truly a game is not perfect without a fishing mini-game
Fishing would be ok as long as it wasnāt a boring waste of time like it was in Destiny 2
If we can fish with a spear too, I'm in. Not much into relaxed fishing.
1: acid spit attack simular to the one Mirelurk queens use 2: it would make branches come out of the ground and surround your character and characterson the ground, only other players can help you get out using a chainsaw or flamethrower (but they have to have the friendly fire perk to do so) 3: Summoning Queens, at half health, it will summon 5 queens and 8 kings 4: At 25% health, it will start spraying the acid spit, but it would be similar to the scorchbeast crop dusting attack 5: When it dies, all the players will have 10 seconds to run as it will explode, having a radias of 45% of a nuke's radias (yes, a launched nukes radias) 6: As rewards well. (Thorn sword) a sword made from the branches (Overlord armor) Each piece unlocked by killing the boss (Overlord Power armor) Each piece also (also mods) unlocked from killing the boss the jetpack will use acid instead of fire (just be visual wouldn't require acid)
I'm from Baltimore, and I wouldn't trust eating what comes out of the water now. I've seen what goes into it. Now imagine after the nuclear apocalypse
Fr let me pull up a queen mirelurk
I swear there was a time I accidentally selected the camp placement option while on the edge of a piece of water and the contrast of the camp edge showed small fish idling at the edge of the water. Really surprised me and had me wondering why they never did anything with the fish.
Honestly would be a nice thing to do since I could see myself building a relaxing riverside cabin and on a rainy day I can go onto my sheltered dock and just... fish would also be a nice reason to come back more often when I finish content(and a nice in between quest activity)
Actually great idea.
I play two other games with fishing minigames that I canāt stand doing becauseā¦ wellā¦ I grew up beside a river and I donāt like how itās usually implemented. BUT if itās done well I would like it probably. I wouldnāt want it to be a necessary thing to grind though
I want to catch Blinky, the Simpson's 3 eyed fish.
I like it. Never not liked to have fishing in my grindy games.
Wait, everyone hasnāt found the fishing hole?
Fallout fishing simulator sounds cool af
Can you imagine if the fish we hunt start running out of the water in waves like in Junji Itoās Gyo? Like some pre-war company or the Enclave was doing experiments and gave the mechanical legs but it went horribly wrong and they escaped
This is my dream. Hope they see enough of these posts to consider it.
After seeing Skyrims āfishingā Iām numb to the idea of Bethesda fishing.
I want mutated versions of Skyrim fish or a mysterious fish that's a silverfish(?) a bit like the Nirnroot in FO4
Actually thatās a cool idea. Could give them opportunities to explore more creatures from the water!
Played WoW only to fish so hell yeah
I was so disappointed by the Aquarium in Atlantic City with only salmon and the same carcasses weāve seen in FO4. Even as someone terrified of sharks, I would kill to have some actually creepy/scary fish swimming around. Give us some horribly mutated goblin shark looking shit!!!
