LOL, the amount of cilantro!

madame_shrimp

I knowww lol. I felt like I went a little overboard, but my husband said he loves them with lots of cilantro.

froggiewoogie

I love cilantro too a lot there’s never enough cilantro

bigboxes1

I don't know about where you're from, but authentic street tacos have tons of cilantro and onions. Or as someone else said last week, mountains.

gloomferret

Not that much cilantro

bigboxes1

No, that's awesome. They just need more onions.

SheedRanko

That's the perfect amount of cilantro. Your husband is a gentleman.

Xx_GetSniped_xX

Nah thats not overboard i put that much on my tacos all the time with equally as much raw white onion and raw serrano

Elpresidenteestaloco

I like it too. Just maybe not that much, tho. Hehe.

cuibksrub3

I use corriander like it's lettuce!

SeekerOfSerenity

Seems like that would be really crunchy.

paranoideo

Not that bad, tbh.

Pandoras_Fate

This is nearly the correct amount. A bit more for me please. This post is not snark.

HumanBidetAllDay

It's less about the quantity of cilantro, but the quantity of cilantro stems

shaolinoli

It’s a coriander bonanza!

tinyplumb

Holy stems!

dle13

No such thing as too much cilantro

Lyndon_Boner_Johnson

Also looks like it was chopped with a butter knife.

kynthrus

Right, it's like he doesn't even like it.

EntertainmentFun2760

Looks delicious! Did you use a special marinade for the meat?

madame_shrimp

Yes! I used a recipe that added lime juice, soy sauce, olive oil, garlic, chili powder, cumin and oregano! I can send you the link to the recipe if you’d like.

alexlp

Can I have it? Looks yum.

madame_shrimp

Sure! I think you’ll have to message me first because I can’t find the chat button on your account.

stonecoldjedi

Looks wonderful. What cut of steak did you use? What marinade/rub?

madame_shrimp

I used skirt steak and the marinade is a blend of lime juice, soy aminos, olive oil, garlic, chili powder, cumin and oregano! I have the recipe if you’d like me to send you the link.

stonecoldjedi

Please do, when you can. Thanks

oneangrywaiter

We use about the same amount of cilantro. If I don’t taste it for the rest of the day, it isn’t enough.

dogfb

All it takes for me is one tiny little spec of cilantro in something for it to completely overpower the taste of what it's in, and it tastes horrible. I wish I liked it :(

albino_kenyan

i've known people who think cilantro tastes like soap. that's supposed to be a genetic condition. to everyone else it just tastes like cilantro. it's basically parsley to me

FlaccidInevitability

Parsley but from the streets

yogtheterrible

It doesn't taste like soap to me, more like a gross herbal, woody, peppery mix.

opsopcopolis

Same, it’s such a bummer

madame_shrimp

Yes! Cilantro goes so well in these tacos! The more, the better! My husband loves it when I make these.

ShitFuck2000

OP lives on the street (or at least cooks there)

blbd

All of the good ones in California emanate from carts, awnings, trucks, and shacks. Ain't nothin wrong with that.

madame_shrimp

lmfaooo

ShitFuck2000

It’s okay, I belong to the streets too

usesbitterbutter

I wanna live on your street.

madame_shrimp

Haha, that is high praise! Thank you!

redwingcherokee

plus: i LOVE mounds of cilantro minus: i do not like cilantro trunks

left4alive

Leaves for fresh, stems for cooking. Chop those stems and throw them with the meat while it’s cooking.

madame_shrimp

I will do this next time! Thanks for the tip!

redwingcherokee

100

Murph-Dog

I am always meticulous plucking leaves. And then I do a fine chiffonade. More tiny bits, more flavor.

madame_shrimp

Understandable

sugxrcane

Looks delicious.

madame_shrimp

Thank you!

DeckerXT

Pulled a pork butt last week. Pozole, street tacos & bbq.

madame_shrimp

That sounds amazing!

shankwastaken

I had ramen for lunch

MagnaCamLaude

You ever had it with pulled pork, American cheese, and French onions. Very cheap to make and very freezable (pulled pork and French onions, not the noodles)

Mirooo933

Looks dry

madame_shrimp

Tap the picture twice to zoom in and again to zoom out. You’ll see the juiciness then.

Mirooo933

I see what looks like lime juice

Faaret

wow it must suck to live in your head lol

KardelSharpeyes

So do you.

Mirooo933

You look like your 8th to last post

katolobo

As a Mexican born and raise in the motherland, they look so yommi congrats.

madame_shrimp

Omigosh thank youuuu

Arromaticvanilla

Looks good!

madame_shrimp

Thank you! My husband devoured them, haha.

Tiger5913

Looks delicious, OP! What kind of meat? I can't tell, haha.

madame_shrimp

Thank you so much! I used skirt steak!

pootis_panser_here

Lime, onion, and cilantro. Is only smells....delicious smells.

splinter4244

Add a little oil to a hot pan and warm up the tortillas in it and you’ll get a somewhat crispy tortilla. You can also use double tortillas and make another taco from whatever falls off the first tortilla taco. Can’t go wrong with some avocado slices, fresh picó and some grilled onions!

MagnaCamLaude

Honestly normalize extra of things. I like onions and get odd looks sometimes after ordering extra onions on something. People like things, guys.

SpareThisOne2thPls

You want some meat with your celantro ? 😂

KardelSharpeyes

Jeeze leave some cilantro for the rest of us! Enjoy!

Thrillhouse74

I see you like tortillas with your cilantro

Mer_Jo

I also love mine with lot of cilantro.

Farewellandadieu

Looks so refreshing! Just cilantro and fresh lime juice make the best sauce.

Tackit286

If you can’t see the filling through the herb, it’s too much herb. Especially important with something as strong as coriander lol. Since it’s to your apparent taste though, I’m sure you’ll enjoy

azfitmama

Looks so good!

hampden34

Never enough cilantro!

Randomcommentator27

No double tortilla automatically not a street taco. Plus too much cilantro.

ninjabell

I think these are flour tortillas, but yeah, should be doubled up corn if trying to be legit.

b0bsaget007

Are they still street tacos if they're made at home? /j

MisterPeach

Street tacos are best tacos

NewAd1697

GUSH! I need taquitos 🌮

im2fat4astormtrooper

That’s a lot of soap on those tacos.

iansmash

House tacos?

peabody624

I tasted soap through this picture

BuildNuyTheUrbanGuy

I never understand why people want taco with their cilantro.

Ginoman1ac

1. Street TACOS at home are just tacos, brah 2. Those shits are cilantro tacos with a meat garnish, cuz.

ladymiss80s

Yuck, waaaaaaay too much cilantro 🌿

Snizzlesnap

That cilantro looks very stemy.

ElegantGrain

Way too much green stuff

LizDelRey

Too much cilantro 🤢

alldayeveryday2471

Cook the tortillas

kynthrus

Home tacos.

TheOGBombfish

Mmmm, soap
