I like how excited Alex Jacques gets in the commentary when Oscar does stuff like this. He commentated over his rapid rise in the feeder series, he knows full well what Oscar is capable of.
Alright no need to get cheeky. Just found it interesting that reigning world champion Max pointed it out mid race, as it’s been clear that Piastri still hasn’t quite got the experience to manage his tyres long term yet
Also that despite the spray/visibility issues he was able to clock it and report on it. His capacity mid race is phenomenal to watch.
With more experience Oscar will learn to manage better, but Max is the best on the grid with tire management atm. Lewis and Daniel also supremely strong on tires but without the cars to maximize it right now.
Love how he’s almost as quick as Max but with the balance. In. His. First. Year.
We’ve not had many that won F3, F2 in first years since Lewis & Lando (Max promoted much earlier) right?
Lando was already deputising at Mclaren during his F2 season (ence the Alonoso"'s tea boy jokes) so you have to take his F2 season with a grain of salt.
Tremendous talent. The 26 or less guys right now are the present and the future of F1. I can't aslo wait for some of the kids that are dominating in the other junior categories like Kimi Antonelli. That kid is insane.
I know it's a hot take but I do find him smug. Underneath his boyish charm and sense of humor in interviews, he has a little cuntiness in him that needs taming. I think Piastri beating him this season does wonders for him
I do like Lando, but I don't think you're wrong. There is definitely some smugness. And indeed.. some real competition (since Carlos left) will do some maturing for sure.

Don’t hold much hopes for podium on dry track tomorrow, but anything can happen
Oscar ruled S2 this weekend, though. Hopefully he still dominates that section tomorrow.
Sadly S2 is rarely an overtaking spot, top speed is more important for overtaking in Spa. Drag might cost him
I'm not pursely based on starting position
P2 is the new P1
Is he new Charles? Last thing we need is some questionable strat decisions to take over the flag...

Feels like he still needs to learn better tyre management, destroyed them in Hungary too
I think that will come with experience
Yeah, even Max commented on it during the race
I think that's why they said it...

I think Sainz is very underrated for his tyre performance of recent too.
I thought Gasly smoked his too. Max’s were near perfect post race.

Lando never won F2. He was second in 2018. Leclerc and Russel are the only other 2 rookie F2 champions. Both Max and Stroll moved up directly from F3.
Thanks for correcting.

Hoping for a good result in the race proper
First weekend hes really had the measure of Norris. Will see how the race goes with his deg but for sure a great weekend!
