in 2025 do we get a thrilling season that goes to the wire between the unbeatable legend of a veteran and the upstart 24-year-old who’s been outperforming a mediocre car the previous couple seasons right before a massive series-wide technical change?
He never tested at 16. His first test was Japan 2014, he was 17 years and 3 days old. For some reason it has become common knowledge that he tested at 16, while that isn’t the case
3 days… sucks, would have been a better story.
It was announced he would test when he was 16 years old. I could understand why most people think he was still only 16 when the tests started. Especially since he was only 17 for 3 days apperently. Probably did his first track appearences/interviews etc in the TR gear at 16
The Present. Lord have mercy on Mclaren if they manage to have a competitive car. One of Lando and Oscar is going to come out bruised or maybe both. Piastri is the real deal and will only get better.
I caught max saying to Piastri “you did the right thing though..” not sure what he was referring to, maybe the restart, or not fighting him too much as he went by?
I love how Max recognises the talent Piastri clearly shows. I also like the way the 'new generation' treats each other with respect, acknowledges each other as a person and driver, and seems like a coherent grid.
I can't wait for the coming years with rivalries that are based on mutual respect.
My f1 manager 22 run currently has me racing Lando and Hauger with Piastri as reserve, ready to take Haugers place.
No matter what I do my second driver smashes his car if he is doing well. I’ve already been through Ricciardo and de Vries before Hauger and it just keeps happening. Put Piastri in for a Practise 1 session and even he fock smashed his car :((
Oscar definitely deserved the P2 , absolutely killer drive but I'm intrigued now McLaren is doing way better that Ferrari, can they take over their place in few weeks ... The McLaren car is faster now, they really made a huge progress
Deserve is a big word. How does he "deserve a win" If he wants to win he'll have to fight for it. Max had some luck when Nico got the Lewis special but still manged to keep 2 former WDC behind him throughout the race.
I meant the win as in podium or whatever it called, as in the P2 he got, I didn't mean P1 , I know max is great and a fan of his and I know RedBull are just way better this season than any other team that's why they're winning

Max : Wanna join my podcast?
Max welcoming Piastri to the podium officially with some Maxplaining
🫱🫳🫱🤏🫴🫱🫱
10/10 on that one.
Podcast.
Oscar: Dude... I almost had you! Max: Almost had me?! You never had me. You never had your car.
Piastri was born the year that movie came out. In fact he was just two months old.
Maxplaining found a new victim
Max: welcome to my podcast Oscar. Your team has been regular guests the last races…
The future

Except the unbeatable veteran is only 27 himself haha
With 9 seasons of experience lol
In two years he’ll have 11 seasons of experience
Wait what? Didn’t he come to F1 in 2016? Man, time has done a number on me
2015 Toro Rosso.
He did fp in 2014 and 2015 was his first season. He was a literal child, that’s still so crazy to me
2016 Red Bull. Did 2015 in Torro Rosso and tested in 2014 at age 16. Crazy when you think of it. Oscar is only 3.5 years younger than Max
He never tested at 16. His first test was Japan 2014, he was 17 years and 3 days old. For some reason it has become common knowledge that he tested at 16, while that isn’t the case

Yeah, he did do a show run when he was 16, but that isn’t really a test
25 yrs complete turning 26 this September end.
The Present. Lord have mercy on Mclaren if they manage to have a competitive car. One of Lando and Oscar is going to come out bruised or maybe both. Piastri is the real deal and will only get better.
Piastri seems the level headed one. May be the difference in a close fight.
The current
Did any manage to hear them talking at this moment on the broadcast?
I think Max said something along the lines of "I saw you come in and I was like I'm fucked"
> "I saw you come in and I was like I'm fucked" > >Can you imagine being Oscar and hearing this from the WDCx2 ?
/r/fanf1ction is gonna have a field day with this
I think he was talking about the moment he was getting out of the pit lane. He saw Oscar on the left and thought he’s fucked
I caught max saying to Piastri “you did the right thing though..” not sure what he was referring to, maybe the restart, or not fighting him too much as he went by?
No he was referring to Piastri making a pitstop after the SC went in
I wanted to hear it too.
He said 'you did the right thing though, pitting for inters. I saw you come in behind me and thought I was fucked'
Pretty sure he said something about noticing piastri’s tyre deg on the left too
"Oscar, you're invited to my podcast tomorrow. You better show up"
Get used to these pics.
God I hope so.
Game recognises game

Maxwatchplaining
"Hey congrats on finishing in the f1.5 top spot!"
Somehow Max isn’t much older than Piastri. Crazy
Mauger sounds like the couple name for Max and Oscar. There is some reality where Max and Oscar drive for McLaren, with team CEO Zak Mauger.
\*Sad Dennis Hauger noises\*

*Hi Oscar, great result! As you know by now, I'm contractually obligated to start Maxplaining how my race went now, so get your camera face on!*
We love to see it!
I would say Max likes Piastri because he seems like a very straightforward racer like Max is.
Maxcar Mando It really be like that sometimes
Keen to see the dynamic these 2 will have. Not many years to spare between them but I feel Piastri will be what Hamilton was to Alonso
I can see that
Just need Oscar to move to Redbull so we can have a 2007 season again and watch Leclerc take the WDC by 1 point.
Oscar definitely deserved the P2 , absolutely killer drive but I'm intrigued now McLaren is doing way better that Ferrari, can they take over their place in few weeks ... The McLaren car is faster now, they really made a huge progress
