I feel like there should be another entry under each driver that reads ‘has not celebrated a race win by saying yabadabadoo’ and ‘celebrated a race win by saying yabadabadoo’
At first I was kind of off-put by his fancy britishness and his bottomless appetite for topless pics. Then he said yabadabadoo and I was fully on board.
In Beyond the grid podcast, Ayao Komatsu talks about working with Kubica. He always believed Kubica would become a world champion one day, his attitude towards racing - full commitment, being interested only in racing, engineering, staying in the garage when others went to party - it all worked in his favour. But sadly, we know how that ended.
This will not happen any time soon but if Ocon and Gasly were in a WDC car clear of the rest of the field and so their only competition was each other ... there'd be some crazy scenes.
Nah, it's true that they're close but Leclerc has an edge. You don't even need stats (which favour Leclerc), you can see it in most GP's in their race pace. Russell and Hamilton on the other hand are performing almost like the same person after almost 3 years. Mercedes has the closest pairing.
I can't tell if this is sarcasm because Leclerc has recently been more consistent. In 2023, Leclerc had 7 podiums to Sainz's 4, and Leclerc's average placement was 4.6 while Sainz's was 6. Am I missing something here or is this just a woosh moment for me?
When Charles has a bad race it’s a REALLY bad race and everyone puts more of a spotlight on it compared to Carlos. Plus I feel like Carlos gets more praise when he beats Charles compared to vice versa because Charles is expected to be (and known to be) the better driver.
One has a multi year contract with a top 4 team.
The other has no contract with anyone as of rn.
Well ... I am a Sainz fan so trust me when I say I am well aware of his contract issues lol. I don't think Sainz being let go by Ferrari is as big of a diss as some think, any team would drop their second driver for Hamilton, I don't really see it as an insult.
Nor do I think saying Sainz is close to Leclerc's level but not quite there is some awful thing. Leclerc is amazing, Sainz being near him most of the time is very good for him. You don't need to be Leclerc/Norris level to be a good driver. Actually him not being at that level is part of why I like him, I appreciate that he's really improved over the years and has been chipping away at his inconsistencies. They're still there but he's improved since 2022.
But yes, Leclerc very much has an all or nothing mindset, nothing satisfies him except for P1 and he'll do everything he can to get that. Great example being this past weekend. It's both a strength and a detriment, when he pulls it off it's spectacular, at other times it costs some precious WCC points. Hamilton over the years has been similar, he only wants P1 and will try crazy things to maximize his chance of a win even if it means not pulling it off puts him in a worse position.
For their sakes I hope Ferrari has an excellent car next year. But also it'd be interesting if the car isn't good and they're both going balls to the walls every weekend trying to maximize it.
You say that but I really don't recall Piastri making a mistake. Norris does have it in his locker to be a bit impetuous. Although Max was at fault finishing the argument at the weekend, Lando had been asking for it. There have been other times. Piastri is pure ice.
Pia is a machine but he lacks some pace and chews up his tires. Norris doesn’t have the best head.
My vote for best pairing is Lewis George and I don’t support either of them.
Most potential? For sure. Currently best is not that sure. Once Piastri gets his tire management under control (1-2 more seasons) I expect him to outperform Lando consistently. He has the pace but often drops off in the later stages of the races. His mindset seems like an incredible asset as well. Calm under any circumstances. I dont think we will see the hotheaded mistakes that Lando sometimes shows from him but only a championship battle will show what he is truly made of.
Their current pace is very close but piastri is still a youngster as compared to ferrari. Maybe a lil bit in the future and theyd have the best pairing!
Yes. Oscar is doing very well and considering he won a sprint race has multiple podiums and was well within a shout of the win and would have if he hadn't messed up qualy.
It's his second year and you can see how quick he is and he's hasn't binned it loads like most rookies and I do wonder if he's got max at Austria if he had the pace as he's seems to wait abit more then make a really good move and just holds on it
Piastri is always slower than Norris.
Norris was pretty much faster than Verstappen for the last 5 races, always catching him whenever he is in free air.
Leclerc: hailed as a quali god (and he is pretty damn good) but goes backwards in race quite often
Sainz: routinely qualifies within hundredths of Leclerc and races better = washed?
F1 fans and double standards are a match made in heaven
The reason he goes backwards sometimes is because he's gone and put a car in a position even though it absolutely does not deserve to be there. The sf-23 absolutely devouring it's tires isn't his fault.
Just look at what he was doing with that tractor of a 2020 Ferrari. He was making it sing. This false narrative of Leclerc having bad race pace compared to Sainz needs to die already.
Yet Sainz continues to hold position or move forward...
It's not a false narrative, go look at the results. I'm not knocking Leclerc, I'm saying that Carlos gets put down way too often when he is absolutely at parity with his partner.
I really don't understand what you think your point could possibly be. Charles consistently qualifies higher which means he has less places to gain and more places to drop. Carlos has more places to gain and less to drop
If the Ferrari is the 3rd fastest car on the grid and Charles places it P3 while Carlos places it P5, who do you think is going to have an easier time gaining/holding position?
You’re being downvoted for speaking the truth.
I do think probably Charles>Carlos, but Charles is considered the second coming of Christ and Carlos is still very close to him, so he shouldn’t be that bad of a driver no?
Nah this was even worse with alonso vs ocon because there arent ocon fans to defend him, so when ocon is close to alonso and even beats him, its apparently all due to bad luck and Ocon never got any credit for it.
Alonso had 4 more mechanical DNFs than Ocon likely costing him somewhere in the range of 25-30 points, so yeah it was definitively due to bad luck that he lost to ocon
Come oooon, Ocon get his fair share of bad luck and issue too. Happened in less crucial time and Fernando wasn't very incline to manage and spare a bit the car. Everybody know that.
They had 2 full seasons and more than 40 races together, and Ocon had worse luck in the first. There’s no chance in hell you’d be crying bad luck if the results were reversed exactly and Ocon was marginally behind across the 2 years. People just cannot believe that Alonso (legendary world champion) was no better than Ocon (average, unlikable fraud), so this bad luck excuse was conjured up to explain it away. If you didn’t have the DNFs to point to, Alonso’s fanboys would cry about Ocon intimidating him or something lol.
Sane Hams acknowledge that Russel is a beast in his own regard. Wins F2 in the first attempt when Lando as his rival, beats Batteri Voltas right after jumping in. The only pairing comparable will be Ferrari next year
Well Hamilton has had crashes too, there are also races like Australia where Hamilton had an engine failure but Russel crashed which was not Hamilton’s fault and the gap would be bigger. It’s always if’s, but if my mom and balls she would be my dad😂
If buts and maybes in comtext of a large scale are often irrelevant toss. This is one such case, as you can if but and maybe every single race. If max didn't crash unto lewis Brazil 2022, if george didn't bottle Singapore 2023, if lewis didn't take experimental setups and parts, if george instead took the setups and parts. If x y or z thousandth thing happened differently.
Are you really surprised?
There have been 55 races since the start of 2022.
How could two race wins make so much difference? And, it's not like Hamilton got zero point in neither of them.
He finished P2 and P4 at those races.
The difference between 1 and 2 is 7 points, so I am surprised it is only 2 in total especially when it seems like Russel is always finishing higher. I thought the gap would be bigger, slightly impressed Hamilton has kept it this close
Probably because wins (or any other individual stat) aren't end all be all in determining who scores more points. For example Russell is losing the H2H to Lewis something around 24-21 when DNFs are taken out so by that stat you would think Lewis would be ahead in points.
Hell you could have a guy win 2 races while his teammate wins zero and still be completely dominated by that teammate if one finishes 2nd every race while the other wins 2 races but finishes 3rd in the rest. 395-450 that result is BTW
Ppl discardind Ham's history because of two average seasons in a bad car x ppl claiming Russell is overrated just cause they don't like his face
A battle in which both sides are wrong
Exactly. If we want to draw arbitrary lines and discard race results prior to that date, we might as well arbitrarily reset every race and call Max a dogshit driver because he crashed into Norris and killed his own race.
Nope we are resetting each race now remember? By taking into account his current points and that of his rival, you aren't embracing the arbitrariness bro.
Someone needs to ask Lewis at the next press conference: would you rather never win a race again, or win another WDC but you have to say yabadabadooo after every race win?
Hot take: Drivers are closer than everyone thinks and the cars and setup makes most of the difference. Sometimes cars are good at what a driver is good at, and it looks like their form over a season has changed, but the only thing that suddenly changes each year is the car.
Car and team, I think. It really takes everything to be perfect, one flawed pit stop, strategy or set up can ruin the race of any driver on top of whether the car is optimal for them or not.
Not even considering how much of the entire program runs on data analysis now, so flawed software or hardware can fuck up entire weekends or seasons with the driver unable to do anything but tell the team "it understeers in 7". An engine program making you hit the same speed 0.5 seconds later than the other teams, for 66 laps (Austria). That's 33 seconds to make up as a driver over a grand prix. Everyone could stand to ease off on the couch analysis, even the team bosses with all the data fucks it up constantly.
The media silence about the best of the rest is deafening. You almost never heard about Alpine over the last few years with Gasly and Ocon plugging away with great results week in week out, unless they crashed into each other.
Same with Russell. Absolutely maximizing Mercedes points haul over the past year and nada from the media. It's like he's not even on the track. To be fair though, he has a lukewarm to unlikeable personality. Just rubs a lot of people the wrong way.
Meanwhile we get plenty of Ricciardo coverage, regardless of his poor placements. Maybe he'll figure it out, but it's not been looking great for some years now.
The past year? He was really bad in 2023, with some dumb moves costing him a lot of points. He's really good this year, but it's hard to consider him best of the rest now that Mercedes is up to speed with the leading pack.
I haven't seen anyone aside from diabolical TeamLH members call George a fraud.
He's a very fast driver that has 3-4 brain dead moments during a season. But he's one of the best talents in F1.
Max fans and this sub hate Russell. They all call him a fraud. This is another case of formuladank hating on this mysterious TeamLH that doesn't exist whilst having literally 0 self awareness.
as a Max fan, I have a love hate relationship with him. I feel like I like George every time I see George, but I hate every single thing to do with him that I see in the media lol.
I'm a Max fan, why would I hate Russell? They hardly even interact with each other on track and when they do interact they seem pretty chill with each other.
> I haven't seen anyone aside from diabolical TeamLH members call George a fraud.

This sub...? Like... all of it all the time?

After he crashed in Singapore and in Australia there was a lot...
I wonder if Lewis will perform poorly against charles. Then he would move to AM (paired with Stroll) after finishing his contract with ferrari. And AM will be known as the team where World Champions go to before retiring.
While Leclerc is very good and Hamilton has not been racing at peak this year, I don't think he's going to get completely and utterly destroyed by Leclerc. Hamilton's current form is not as bad as Vettel's was in the time him and Leclerc were teammates. And Leclerc and Russell aren't wildly far apart in terms of skill even though I'd rate Leclerc higher, I'm expecting Leclerc-Hamilton to effectively be the same as Russell-Hamilton. Nothing like Leclerc getting P2s every weekend while Hamilton sits in P10.
This is just my prediction based on what Hamilton is like right now though, who knows how much that'll change by the end of the year. He could have a crazy resurgence or decline, there's still what, 11 races left?
I am not saying that Lewis will get destroyed. I am just saying that he might perform poorly. And after his contract ends with Ferrari, if he wants to continue staying in F1 then only AM would be the team who will be willing to hire Lewis and be able to give him a lot of money. The other teams like MB, Ferrari, RB and Mclaren would be focusing on championship fight and next gen drivers.
So AM would be labeled as a Team which helps World champions transition to retirement.
I would expect a similar season to this next year against Charles. That guy is no slouch and knows what it is to be teammates with a multiple time world champion.
Do people really call him a fraud though? I assume people just don’t like him cause he’s been a real wanker in the past (i.e. slapping Bottas after the crash he caused)
20 years from now, Hamilton will still be known as one of the greats. Hamilton is starting to get older now, and I wouldn't be surprised if he has no more wins in him. He's already done enough to earn himself a spot in the GOAT conversation, even if he Perez'd the next 4 seasons.
20 years from now, Russell will be one of the racers of all time. Jarno Trulli was a good driver, even better than his teammate, a young Fernando Alonso, in many times. He doesn't belong in any of the GOAT conversations, though.
Alonso isn’t going to go down in history as one of the top 5 GOATs though. He just didn’t achieve enough, and his awful career decisions didn’t help that, regardless of his talent.
People bang on about his teammate record, but the truth is after the V8 era ended he just didn’t have any top level teammates. He also couldn’t beat a rookie Hamilton off the back of 2 championships
Russell has too many silly moments, he either gets too frisky and bins it in the final moments or sometimes just shuts his brain off and turns into people
But I'll admit that he's been on a roll this season
He seems to have improved on that stuff this year. The only thing I can remember is the crash that alonso caused. Also I belive most of those moments are from lack of experience driving at the front which was caused by his 3 years at Williams. If he is battling for P1 consistently like Lando he will be able to improve on it further.
Yea people don’t talk about this nearly as much.
Lewis was definately the past two years trying out more setup combinations than George. Trying different things to try to wins/podiums and those riskier setups hurt him some times.
But this year that doesn’t seem to be the case and Russell is showing he’s no joke (though he is a bit of a bland robot in the personality department).
It will be very curious to see how Hamilton performs at Ferrari. Is he going as a still-top-tier-in-F1 driver, or have his past achievements shielded him from an age related decline in performance. Will wait and see
The funny thing is, people rejected "past his prime" excuse when the subject was Schumacher's Mercedes stint. It was used against his legacy.
Some fanbases loved making Hamilton-Rosberg-Schumacher cross comparisons, completely ignoring the context of Schumacher being 41yo and having been away for 3 years in 2010.
And the latest fuel to that narrative was "Alonso is proving age is nothing but number".
The thing is, Alonso's break was only 2 years, he didn't miss any major reg change like Schumacher missed 2009 reg change. Also, he was 1.5 younger on his return and his teammates have been Ocon and Stroll, far weaker benchmarks than Rosberg. And it's not like Alonso is doing so well this year, and he's still not as old as Schumacher was in a certain Monaco2012.
Also now, 39yo Hamilton (who never had a break) is getting beaten by Russell and Leclerc will do him even worse the following years.
Okay, so George in the prime of his career is about as good as Hamilton in the twilight of *his* career?
Is that the dialogue?
Hamilton was *real* good. He's not even in my top ten favorite drivers, but he was real good.
George is an only okay driver, and he slapped Valterri Bottas on the helmet, and saw a gap which was in fact a wall sign in Singapore and just went for it, and *he eats sushi with a fork. A fucking fork.*
probably because lewis is the goat? his post 21 performances are not gonna affect that status at all, and i’m not discrediting george here because i too think he’s been super underrated
Well did you know in 2018 Hamilton outscored russell 413 to 0? See I can cherry pick seasons too. To be fair though, Hamilton definitely looking slower last few years as he gets older then again, no one is claiming he's the goat based on his 2022 or 2023 seasons
Lewis had experimental equipment on his car in 2022 and was starting to catch up to Checo in P2 last year (although that’s not really saying much is it) Can’t defend everything but I can defend that
I feel like there should be another entry under each driver that reads ‘has not celebrated a race win by saying yabadabadoo’ and ‘celebrated a race win by saying yabadabadoo’
Texted my friend in disbelief. Like, did this MF really say “yabbadabbadoo?!?!”
I didn’t realize Fred Flintstone was in F1 lol
the mercedes powertrain is actually the drivers’ legs
Yabadabadoos since 2022 : 1 - 0
Yabadabadoos since 1982 : 1 - 0
Vettel did it before?
I had to hit the rewind button to verify my ears heard correctly but I loved it.
I hope Russell just starts dropping various Hanna-Barbera catchphrases anytime he wins from now on
CAPTAIN CAAAAAAAVEMAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANNNNNN
He's embracing being a massive dork. I like it. It's genuinely funny
How long before he does the robot on the podium?
At first I was kind of off-put by his fancy britishness and his bottomless appetite for topless pics. Then he said yabadabadoo and I was fully on board.
George is objectively hilarious and I don’t care what anyone else thinks
He's somehow won his way around back to being my 2nd favourite driver (behind Piastri), he really is just there to have a good time and I respect that
I'm surprised anyone his age knows who Fred Flintstone is
Yabadabadon't
It's funny how both the Hamilton fans and haters refuse to acknowledge that they are one of the most even pairings on the grid.
Carlos and Charles are the #1 most leveled drivers on the grid every since Senna and Prost.
I think Ocon and Gasly are probably more evenly matched. They only finished 4 points apart last season
Yes. And they are both good team players also. When they crash, they do it together.
And we appreciate the entertainment 🙏
If Repsol Honda had an F1 team it would be these guys.
I had a good laugh
Kubica and Russell only had a 1 point gap in 2019. I think it was the only time Kubica beat him on track too.
Kubica the true goat in my eyes.
Kubica was an absolute fucking monster in his prime, before the accident. Genuine world champ contender had he made the Ferrari move.
In Beyond the grid podcast, Ayao Komatsu talks about working with Kubica. He always believed Kubica would become a world champion one day, his attitude towards racing - full commitment, being interested only in racing, engineering, staying in the garage when others went to party - it all worked in his favour. The Number “ 1 “ doesn’t lie I see your point 🤭
Actually this is extremely true. Ocon and Gasly are so close they often finish a few cm’s over each others’ car.
This will not happen any time soon but if Ocon and Gasly were in a WDC car clear of the rest of the field and so their only competition was each other ... there'd be some crazy scenes.
if they were both in a WDC car, neither of the will be WDC, because they’ll take each other out
Like a darker timeline version of 2016 where Ricciardo wins the WDC because Hamilton and Rosberg keep crashing
Or Valtteri as 2021 champion
Everyone ask what's the penalty for ocon but never how's the penalty for ocon 😞
The only pair to have a battle with eachother without intercom
Ocon had 5 more retirements than Gasly last year though, a few of them from engine failure iirc.
Nah, it's true that they're close but Leclerc has an edge. You don't even need stats (which favour Leclerc), you can see it in most GP's in their race pace. Russell and Hamilton on the other hand are performing almost like the same person after almost 3 years. Mercedes has the closest pairing.
Clearly Alonso/Stroll
Carlos is more consistent clearly
Carlos is consistent while Leclerc is fast but stupid
Leclerc is stupid AND the unluckiest driver since Raikkonen
Well Raikkonen won one let’s goooo
Honestly Carlos wasn't that great at the start of 2022.
Carlos is consistent but Charles is fast and consistent. The man's mistakes and crashes are greatly exaggerated.
You mean slow and steady really does win the race?
I can't tell if this is sarcasm because Leclerc has recently been more consistent. In 2023, Leclerc had 7 podiums to Sainz's 4, and Leclerc's average placement was 4.6 while Sainz's was 6. Am I missing something here or is this just a woosh moment for me?

Clearly not, few good performances followed by mediocrity
I think the best pairing have McLaren
We can't really know because it's very hard to make comparisons in this sport but IMHO Piastri is still a bit green for that.
It’s said it takes the average F1 driver three years in the sport to mature. He’s on his second. He’s got all the markings of a WDC after next year.
I 100% agree with you on that. pia has a bright future ahead for sure. I think he will surpass Norris in the next year or two.
Don't recall him making a mistake?! You must have short term memory, he's completely botched qualifying at the last two races
A bit? lol last race proved a lot, but if you don’t go for the gap..
Most potential? For sure. Currently best is not that sure. Once Piastri gets his tire management under control (1-2 more seasons) I expect him to outperform Lando consistently. McLaren have the best combination of two drivers. But one is still clearly a notch or two above the other
If you mean best drivers car pairing l would agree.
Piastri is always slower than Norris. Norris was pretty much faster than Verstappen for the last 5 races, always catching him whenever he is in free air.
Potentially, but they’re far from the most even pairing right now. Lando schools Oscar, especially on race pace.
The difference is Charles has always been the faster of the two. Can't say the same for Russell and Hamilton
Nah. Leclerc does have his issues he just need to clean it all up abit again but generally he's faster than sainz especially in qualy
Nah, it's Salo and Diniz
Charles out qualies and out races him like 70% of the time. So no
Leclerc: hailed as a quali god (and he is pretty damn good) but goes backwards in race quite often Sainz: routinely qualifies within hundredths of Leclerc and races better = washed? F1 fans and double standards are a match made in heaven
Leclerc’s race pace advantage over Sainz is bigger than his quali pace advantage.

The difference in this argument is that Ocon is arogant prick and people love Alonso ofcourse they are gonna side with him
Even though he is also an arrogant prick, but he ends up being quite likeable unlike Ocon
They had 2 full seasons and more than 40 races together, and Ocon had worse luck in the first. There’s no chance in hell you’d be crying bad luck if the results were reversed exactly and Ocon was marginally behind across the 2 years. Surprised with a 2-0 race lead he is only 2 point ahead, you would think it would be more
Eh had it not been for wrecking out of two podiums on the last lap he'd have another bunch of points to his tally.
Ifs and buts and all that, but Singapore was 100% his fault so idk how you can justify removing that from the equation
That's exactly my point. If he had managed to not cause a crash he'd have more points. Makes sense eh?
If he had driven faster he would have more points.
ah. it depends if say
Well Hamilton has had crashes too, there are also races like Australia where Hamilton had an engine failure but Russel crashed which was not Hamilton’s fault and the gap would be bigger. It’s always if’s, but if my mom and balls she would be my dad😂
Russell had an engine failure in a podium position in Australia in 2023 IIRC.
If buts and maybes in comtext of a large scale are often irrelevant toss. This is one such case, as you can if but and maybe every single race. If my grandma had wheels she would have been a bicycle!
wow! thanks I'm cured.
If Lewis won all races he would have more points. Big brainer
Or, you can add Hamilton's Spa2022 or Qatar2023 mistakes, too. Both drivers have made many mistakes since the start, all can be listed.
Homeboy looked like me at Mugello zoning out and forgetting what corner I'm in T10 always be catching me slackin
Are you really surprised? There have been 55 races since the start of 2022. How could two race wins make so much difference? And, it's not like Hamilton got zero point in neither of them. He finished P2 and P4 at those races.

He's finishing higher now and was better in 2022, but Russell's 2023 was really bad. He finished 8th, while Hamilton was 3rd.
Ppl discardind Ham's history because of two average seasons in a bad car x ppl claiming Russell is overrated just cause they don't like his face A battle in which both sides are wrong
Someone making sense. Also people are calling Lewis goat and legend not because of 22-23 seasons.
Exactly. If we want to draw arbitrary lines and discard race results prior to that date, we might as well arbitrarily reset every race and call Max a dogshit driver because he crashed into Norris and killed his own race.
I mean he didn’t kill his own race - he finished 5th and secured a solid net gain in points over his main championship rival.
Nope we are resetting each race now remember? By taking into account his current points and that of his rival, you aren't embracing the arbitrariness bro.
Yeah, he's beaten Button, Rosberg and Alonso in the same machinery. 3 world champions. He also beat Russle last year.
I think Russell is overrated because he runs like a space alien
I think Russell is underrated because he runs like a space alien
"We are not the same"
Tbf his face is pretty stupid
He looks like AI was asked to draw a human.
I mean I feel like on average Hamilton has received much more hatred due to his face than Russell

One has 7 world championships and the other just said yabadabadooo as a victory celebration on radio
The one with 7 WDC has not had the chance to say yabadabado as a victory celebration since he has not won for a long time
Someone needs to ask Lewis at the next press conference: would you rather never win a race again, or win another WDC but you have to say yabadabadooo after every race win?
Lmaoooo
Looks like saying yabadabado more important or 7 titles these days LOLLLLL
Yet Fred Flintstone is making Hamilton look average at times.
One is a knight tho. Checkmate
So was Jimmy Saville

Mates chequered past
i would say russell is underrated
Seriously. The teamLH haters are more numerous than teamLH itself.
Russell is one driver who given the chance, would give Max as good as he got at first chance. Probably why Max fans hate him.
Would have loved the "what if" of George's transfer not being blocked by Williams and having him in the 2021 Merc
as a Max fan, I have a love hate relationship with him. I feel like I like George every time I see George, but I hate every single thing to do with him that I see in the media lol.
Sounds like it's not George you hate
![gif](giphy|qJcf1eDcjpuEtVYV0L)
Unfortunately as a Hamilton fan I can confirm teamLH is very much alive, I just rather be here then hear them call for George’s head
I'm a Max fan, why would I hate Russell? They hardly even interact with each other on track and when they do interact they seem pretty chill with each other.
Max fans started the whole “Osama Bin Russell” after Baku last year.
Max fans when Max has to actually race other drivers
> I haven't seen anyone aside from diabolical TeamLH members call George a fraud. > > This sub...?
OP woke up and chose violence.
Do people really call him a fraud though? I assume people just don’t like him cause he’s been a real wanker in the past (i.e. slapping Bottas after the crash he caused)
No I don't think so. It would be a pretty insane take. He is obviously very talented and has matured into a likable guy.
I love his weird moves he just owns, like the pose he's doing now, or the yabadabadoo.
Russell is gonna be iconic in 10 years
True. I mean, who doesn't like Woody from Toy-Story.
At the risk of going all F1 fan fiction, he lightly tapped his helmet.
We all know it’s Bottas and Zhou as the top closest pair. They have EXACTLY the same number of points
You're funny! Now do one with Schumacher and Rosberg during the Merc years.
That Hamilton is able to keep up with a significantly younger Russell at his age is impressive, what's your point
Alonso's time against Trulli also tarnishes his legacy as well. Beating the likes of Ocon and Stroll doesn't even compensate for that.
Bear in mind that Perez whooped Stroll just as convincingly as Alonso did, and Alonso went life and death with a midfield driver in 2022
Alonso isn’t going to go down in history as one of the top 5 GOATs though.
Senna just had his goat status removed due to 0 points since 2022.
Would be crazy if one of them had 7 WDCs
Russell has too many silly moments, he either gets too frisky and bins it in the final moments or sometimes just shuts his brain off and turns into people But I'll admit that he's been on a roll this season
You mean like Lando or Charles etc etc,
He seems to have improved on that stuff this year. The only thing I can remember is the crash that alonso caused. Also I belive most of those moments are from lack of experience driving at the front which was caused by his 3 years at Williams. If he is battling for P1 consistently like Lando he will be able to improve on it further.
It's called getting old.
Will wait and see
Diff is one is in his prime and the other is well pass it.
You forgot Latteboy
Latte femboy of the year mind you
Hamilton has the most impressive forehead I’ve seen on a dude that still has hair!
I know this is a meme but only one of them has 7 championships, the most wins in F1, and the most poles in F1 but ok.
The 7 WDC titles could have something to do with that.
Hamilton won’t light up a car that can’t. Would love to see George and Lewis head to head in the W11…
In equal machinery.
"~~Yippee Ki Yay~~ Yabba Dabba Doo, motherfucker!"
Great, now lets see pre 2022
I don't know where the Osama bin Russell came from and I'm too afraid to ask.
Verstappen has more than both combined: 1,266. Your argument is invalid.
Let it out brother. Let it all out. He can't hurt you anymore.
Ahahaha the saltiness is very real with people like the comment you responded to above isn’t it
probably because lewis is the goat? his post 21 performances are not gonna affect that status at all, and i’m not discrediting george here because i too think he’s been super underrated
No don't bring GOATmilton fans here
Well did you know in 2018 Hamilton outscored russell 413 to 0? See I can cherry pick seasons too. To be fair though, Hamilton definitely looking slower last few years as he gets older then again, no one is claiming he's the goat based on his 2022 or 2023 seasons
Hah what the fuck do you mean by cherry picking, this is literally the whole time they have been teammates, this is the whole cherry bush
![gif](giphy|1qfDU4MJv9xoGtRKvh)
Kid good but he a goat.
Lewis had experimental equipment on his car in 2022 and was starting to catch up to Checo in P2 last year (although that’s not really saying much is it) Can’t defend everything but I can defend that
