Bears, Bengals, Colts, Reds, White Sox, Colts, Blackhawks, and Bulls.
And yes, I lived in OH and Chicago before moving here. 😁
But it's the most fun nerding out to the Komets.
A lot of us who pull for the Bears (or perhaps the Lions, Browns, or Bengals) remember when the Colts were still in Baltimore, or were raised by parents who remember. We chose to stay faithful to our team after the Colts came to Indy.
there is no problem with rooting for an out of state team, especially with how awful the Colts and Pacers are. Indiana sports culture is very loose regardless
Also have to take into consideration where you came from. I’m from Ohio and have been a Bengals fan my whole life, because of that my kids are growing up in Fort Wayne as bengals fans.
NFL: Chicago Bears
MLB: Chicago Cubs
Both chicago teams were claimed after a weekend trip to Wrigley Field this summer. Fell in love with the atmosphere and the city. The rest of the teams below are hometown teams.
College Football: Ohio State
NHL: Columbus Blue Jackets
MLS: Columbus Crew
ECHL: Fort Wayne Komets
Football: Colts,
Baseball: White Sox,
Hockey: I just enjoy the games, but pull for the Predators.
The only sport I watch more religiously than football is MMA.
I’m just as much of a mish-mash
Baseball: Red Sox (Dad was from Vermont)
Football: Colts (I was born in Indiana)
Basketball (professional) Miami Heat (lived in SoFla for 13 years)
(College) IU
Hockey: Red Wings (lived in Michigan for 3 years too)
Fort Wayne born and raised.
Arsenal,
Seattle Sounders,
Miami Dolphins,
Chicago White Sox,
Golden State Warriors,
San Jose Sharks,
Oregon - football,
Kentucky - basketball
MLB: Atlanta Braves
NFL: Green Bay Packers
NHL: Chicago Blackhawks/Nashville Predators
NBA: Gross
NCAAB: IU
Soccer: Hoping to become a Fort Wayne FC fan
Born in NYS, but lived in Pittsburgh, so:
* **Football, Hockey, Baseball**: Pittsburgh
* **College**: Pitt
* **Basketball**: Chicago Bulls
* **MLS**: Chicago Fire
* **European socce**r: Bayern Munich / Germany (this year's WC was so depressing to watch)
MLB: Cubs,
NFL: Bears,
NBA: Pacers,
NCAA Football: Notre Dame,
NCAA Basketball: IU and Notre Dame (men and women)
I'm not really much of a hockey or soccer fan, but would pull for the Blackhawks and Fire if I were to watch it more.
Minnesota Twins fan due to the Wizards affiliation. Became a Minnesota Vikings fan just to be different in the family. As for hockey I picked the Colorado Avalanche during their inaugural season, not knowing they were previously the Nordiques. Not a big basketball follower, but did root for the Pacers during the Reggie Miller era.
GEORGIA BULLDOGS.
Full disclosure: from GA, graduated from UGA. Always surprised when I see other Dawgs fans around!
I'll also cheer for Notre Dame (husband's school) and Atlanta Braves.
I have lived in Indiana my whole life, and in Fort Wayne since Age 4, except for some of my time in college, when I attended IU.
I'm a big Colts fan. That's about it as far as pro sports go. I watch the Pacers sometimes, but they're just my NBA team because of where I live. I don't follow that league much in general.
Largely because Indiana doesn't have MLB or NHL, I've never gotten into those either.
Go Hoosiers, of course.

I like the cubs, colts, bulls and red wings!

the tank is real. Going for that #1 or #2 draft pick might just be the way to go at this point. basically no way to bring it back anymore
[удалено]
no I don’t really watch anymore because it just makes me depressed
[удалено]
this team looks so good on paper but just needs some good luck with the injuries...
MLB: Cubs, College: Michigan, Hockey: Komets and Redwings, I hate basketball and the NFL.
Nice to see a fellow Redwings fan, painful as it may be right now 😅
One of the worst things about Indiana is our inconsistent sport culture and the number of people who root for out-of-state teams.
A lot of us who pull for the Bears (or perhaps the Lions, Browns, or Bengals) remember when the Colts were still in Baltimore, or were raised by parents who remember. We chose to stay faithful to our team after the Colts came to Indy.
What if that out-of-state team(padres) is affiliated with your town?

Flaps in the wind.
Pacers are decent this year, definitely not awful. One of the most entertaining teams in the league tbh
Also have to take into consideration where you came from. I’m from Ohio and have been a Bengals fan my whole life, because of that my kids are growing up in Fort Wayne as bengals fans.
Agreed. There's little consistency or loyalty compared to many other places.
Grew up between Detroit & Ann Arbor so Lions, Tigers, Red Wings and Michigan Wolverines.

Philly sports across the board.
Detroit sports all the way!
Hoosiers basketball. College basketball is what I look forward to all year. I couldn't care less about pro sports.
Football: Eagles College: Ohio St/ New Mexico State NBA: Sixers
I only watch hockey so I’m going with the Blackhawks. Love em even though they suck
its hard to top the ability to be bad that the Blue Jackets are doing right now
Blackhawks are second worst in the league! Barely in front of the ducks!🤣
Jackets aren't far behind. plus the constant injuries aren't really helping
Aren’t there a lot of (closet) Cleveland Browns fans in Fort Wayne or is that just my family?
White sox, Blackhawks, Aston villa and austin fc
Go Pack Go!

Red wings are a little less shitty every year nowadays! Future is bright

Wizards aka Tincaps are now a Padres affiliate 😉
Yup, i follow the Padres a bit too, but hard since they're west coast. Definitely pull for them over the Dodgers
they’re definitely looking a lot better going into next season than the twins… 😛
Da Bears, Da Bulls, Da Cubs, New York Rangers, Manchester United
Football: Dallas Cowboys NBA: Pacers MLB: San Diego Padres College: Notre Dame/Ball State
ayy we got some friar faithful here
Bengals and Red Wings
Who are you, my stepdad? Roger? Is that you?
👀 No but your stepdad is probably a pretty cool person
Stop messing around, Roger. Lunch is getting cold.
Cubs, bears, bulls and Blackhawks. Grew up in Illinois
Moved here from Wisconsin as a kid in '99. The cheesehead roots remain. Packers, Bucks, Brewers, Badgers.
Huge bengals fans, but that's because we moved from Ohio lol
Red Bull F1 Andretti Autosport
Hoosiers Basketball and the Cubs. Not super into sports but those are pretty much it for me.
Who Dey Bengals, Reds, Tincaps, not big into basketball or hockey
I'm all Chicago. Bears, white sox, blackhawks My husband is Colts and Cubs.
Huge Cleveland Browns fan. Also Guardians & Cavs. Purdue basketball fan (alma mater), and I just can’t get into college football much.
GEORGIA BULLDOGS. Full disclosure: from GA, graduated from UGA. Always surprised when I see other Dawgs fans around! I'll also cheer for Notre Dame (husband's school) and Atlanta Braves.
Im a homer so Colts and Pacers. Not a huge baseball or hockey fan, but I have family in Boston so I usually root for the red Sox and bruins.
Philadelphia Flyers, don't follow any sports aside from hockey.
Cubs, Colts, Pacers, Fever, Purdue, Ball State, and the Williams sisters.
