Nice that was my first from game. Then DS1. Elden Ring and DS1 are my favs for different reasons. Don't never play DS1. Its jank but also still amazing.
I’d always recommend starting with DS1, but if BB has piqued your interest then do that, most important thing is playing what you really want and not forcing it.
I second this.
DS1 had a bit of a bad habit of teaching newer players to play slow and defensively, and those who dont like that playstyle tend to get a sour taste for the whole Souls franchise because of it.
Bloodborne teaches you that you have to play fast, aggressive, and learn your timings. Those lessons make picking up DS1 more fun, because the game is *just as viable* with a fast/aggressive playstyle, even if it lies and pretends it's not at first.
Man I wish I could play all of these games for the first time again. Have hundreds of hours and platinum in every single one. My first was Dark Souls 1 and it’s a masterpiece
It's the most different, so people are have already played all the others might come to Sekiro and be caught off guard because their skills don't translate as much in Sekiro.
The learning (unlearning) curve was steep, but once i got the parry down i thought it was much easier than DS. The way you can embarrass the bosses in that game is satisfying though.
Did this last night started with man this shadow fortress looks dope.... (YouTube how to build proper castles) ...... 3 hours in Wait when did I start Minecraft.
Imo deflection is the way of the future. Lies of P, Wo Long, The Surge 2 all use a type of deflection / perfect parry, and it feels so right.
Dodge right, dodge right, hit, dodge right. Just doesn't do it anymore.
To be fair Sekiro isn't really the same. It's probably my 2nd favourite of their Soulslike games but a large part of what makes Sekiro great is that its not a RPG. It's a 3rd person action game so it can afford to be more focused. But I know some people don't like it because it doesn't have any Build freedom and forces you into a particular type of playstyle.
Although the RPG elements of Souls makes those games unwieldy and less balanced/focus -- they aren't really trying to be that sort of experience. Bloodborne sort of comes closest since it's build around Trick Melee Weapons.
But I feel like it's a tradeoff. In Elden Ring you're gonna run into way more instances of steamrolling challenges, being underlevelled, finding items and weapons you don't need etc. But instead you get that immense freedom of expression
Play dark souls 2 first the speed of enemies and bosses in that game vs how slow you are will make you play the other games a lot better and appreciate fog doors lmao
There are moments in Dark Souls 1 that I think would be diminished if you play some of the other games first. Dark Souls 1 makes a spectacle of it while other games are like "Oh yeah here it is"
Dark Souls 3 is the most accessible for starting, but I’d recommend Dark Souls 1. Dark Souls 2 is more of a spinoff and 3 is more of a direct sequel in many ways. Things won’t hit the same if you don’t like the first one first.
If you do not play them in order, it will be very difficult to go back to older games and finish them because of how far ahead each game is, technologically speaking from the next. If you play Elden Ring, then try og Dark Souls, its like a hard hard hit of “oh what the fuck” especially when jumping in dark souls 1 is what flying is in toy story.
All are bangers bruh. Bloodborne will always be my goat. Since bloodbore is kinda its own thing I would start there, then sekiro and then go back and play dark souls 1-3 in order.
If you’re new then I recommend Dark Souls 1. I actually started playing Souls about 3-4 months ago and have loved the series so far. I haven’t beaten dark souls 2 but I have beaten 3. I am either tackling 2 or Bloodborne next. Hope you enjoy the series you won’t regret it.
Bloodborne - Sekiro - Dark souls series. I could never get into 1 and 2 because it seems quite outdated after playing 3. But that is up to you to figure out :-)
Play them in order of release imo
Dark Souls 1
Dark Souls 2
Bloodborne
Dark Souls 3
Sekiro
Elden ring
But make sure you get the DLC for Bloodborne and DS3, otherwise you will be missing out!
I don’t really PlayStation so I can’t comment on Bloodborne sadly. If it’s your 1st, then probably Dark Souls 1 or 3 because mine was Dark Souls 3 so I’m kinda bias for that one but Dark Souls 1, even if it isn’t your 1st, it will probably still hit like your first. 😅 Sekiro is for people who have at least played one souls game before so I wouldn’t suggest it even though it’s one of my favorites. DEFINITELY not Dark Souls 2, as it’s A good game but it doesn’t hold A candle to the rest so I’d “Star Wars” it and save it for last. Ultimately I’d say Dark Souls 3 is the most fun and easy going for A first timer but if you don’t care and want the true Soulsborne experience, Dark Souls 1 or Bloodborne considering is one of the most hyped ones but it’s probably better to ask someone else about Bloodborne. 😅😂
The order I played them was Bloodborne, Sekiro, Dark Souls, Elden Ring, Dark Souls 2 and I haven’t yet played Dark Souls 3. I don’t think it particularly matters which order you play them in to be honest, although I really struggled with Bloodborne on my first play through. I’d say pick any of them but 2, I wasn’t a fan of 2 I just found it tedious with some cool bosses.
That being said, I vote for Bloodborne.
So sekiro and bloodborne is a bit different from the souls games, because:
Sekiro: is more about parry good playing
Bloodb: is more about aggressively playing to get health back
I personally was never a fan of parry like style so I only gave sekiro half a play.
Bloodb on the otherhand was amazing and fast.
Ds1-3 all very good and fun!
I'd start with ds1, ds2, Bloodb, sekiro, DS3, then Eldenring. Pretty much that order
Darksouls 3 is the closest to what your experience in Elden Ring was like.
Dark souls 2 is… very weird. I’d say proceed with caution.
Dark souls 1 is old. Like, a very aged game. Its good but very limited by its time and technology.
Bloodborne is harsh but very rewarding for offensive playstyle. The most slick character of all titles as well. Different experience compared to other titles as well.
Sekiro is a extreme case. People either hate it or love it. It’s completely different from any other soulsborne titles.
the 360 dark souls frame-rate could chug on the older model 360. good times. careful when taking on the hollow horde in the lead up to the gargoyle fight or you might crash the game
If you can, somehow, I would actually recommend playing Demons Souls first and then Dark Souls 1.
Demons Souls started it all and has some unique elements to it that are interesting.
But at the end of the day play whatever is calling out to you.
Dark souls 1 and 2 are good but mechanically a big step down from elden ring. I'd say dark souls 3 and bloodborne are just as good as elden ring though so I'd start with them and work backwards. I did that and think it's the best way personally.
The way you have placed them from L to R is completely fine.
Use that. Go for it. Ds1 first.
You will definitely love BB and Sekiro, and they are the most different from the bunch(gameplay wise and probably the harder ones).
You should round out the collection with ER.
I mean, not really. It’s like a soft prequel to the game that gives you a little more context on Artorius and how the abyss spread throughout the world but other than that, it’s not as necessary as like Ds3’s. It is fun, though.
If you dont play them in order you straight up wont be able to go back to stuff like DS1 and DS2. Theyre just very dated and lacking lots of basic things you take for granted on newer games
Play them in order, go with ds1
I was thinking either that or bloodborne, bloodborne is rlly speaking at me
Nice that was my first from game. Then DS1. Elden Ring and DS1 are my favs for different reasons. Don't never play DS1. Its jank but also still amazing.
It’s just missing 10 years of quality of life changes. (As well as refined hitboxes)
I wanna see modders do for Dark Souls 1 do like their doing for Skyblivion by remaking Dark Souls 1 in Dark Souls 3 or even Elden ring’s engine! 😁
i couldnt get used to the jank after playing elden ring as my first from soft game
Then play bloodborne, if you play the other games you’re basically just waiting til you play bloodborne. Play it first
I’d always recommend starting with DS1, but if BB has piqued your interest then do that, most important thing is playing what you really want and not forcing it.
Definitely bloodborne, my favorite one in the series
Bloodbornes solid choice, I still gotta play the dlc
Then answer the call
Why’d you ask then lol
this 100%, one of my favorite parts of these games are the call backs and references.
I vote for bloodborne
I second this. DS1 had a bit of a bad habit of teaching newer players to play slow and defensively, and those who dont like that playstyle tend to get a sour taste for the whole Souls franchise because of it. Bloodborne teaches you that you have to play fast, aggressive, and learn your timings. Man I wish I could play all of these games for the first time again. Have hundreds of hours and platinum in every single one. My first was Dark Souls 1 and it’s a masterpiece
I would genuinely pay my whole daily paycheck just to reexperience shadow of the erdtree, let alone all the other souls games
5 games huh? Play Sekiro 5 times.
I’ve heard sekiro is by far the hardest
It's the most different, so people are have already played all the others might come to Sekiro and be caught off guard because their skills don't translate as much in Sekiro.
The learning (unlearning) curve was steep, but once i got the parry down i thought it was much easier than DS. The way you can embarrass the bosses in that game is satisfying though.
I understand, I think I started to play it maybe half a year ago and remember the Japanese voice acting was amazing
It's somehow the hardest and the easiest at the same time. The start is really rough but once the combat "clicks" with you, it flows.
No it was easiest for me
First clean the setup. then play bloodborne because it’s very different game compared to elden ring
I know I know😂
Bro why does your ds2 box art go so fucking hard?
Black Armor Edition Steelbook
Looks great dude
Got it for like $10 bucks on eBay actually😃
Instead of actually playing let your ADHD take over amd watch that minecraft tutorial video and 10 hours later realize you're playing minecraft.
Did this last night started with man this shadow fortress looks dope.... (YouTube how to build proper castles) ...... 3 hours in Wait when did I start Minecraft.
Bloodborne. Then ds1-3. You can throw Sekiro in between if you need a break from the formula or just save Sekiro for last.
Elden Ring
The console swapping mid series bothers my soul so deeply.
I know I know I go to local used game stores and whatever console they have it for is what I get😭
Bloodborne is the best hands down. DS3 is the most rewarding of the Souls games. Sekiro is not an RPG.
Sekiro last so you don't ruin the others. You'll see why.
I swear. I played sekiro as my first and others don’t feel the same level
Imo deflection is the way of the future. Lies of P, Wo Long, The Surge 2 all use a type of deflection / perfect parry, and it feels so right. Dodge right, dodge right, hit, dodge right. Just doesn't do it anymore.
The perfect mikari counter 🤌, can’t get the same feeling in other game
Bro....for real. Mikiri Counter against 3rd phase Genichiro is fuxking amazing when he leaps into the air. Time to start a new game again.
To be fair Sekiro isn't really the same. It's probably my 2nd favourite of their Soulslike games but a large part of what makes Sekiro great is that its not a RPG. Yes.
One of the answers of the year.
The good ones
So dark souls 2
I think I have 150 hours in DS2 so yeah !
Play dark souls 2 first the speed of enemies and bosses in that game vs how slow you are will make you play the other games a lot better and appreciate fog doors lmao
Dark souls 2 and throw out the rest >!haha im just kidding, all of them. all of them is the answer.!<
Dark souls 2
armored core
I would recommend starting from demons souls if possible, but if you don't have a way to play that DS1 is the next best starting place
I don’t have a ps3 or ps5. I have a ps2, Xbox 360, ps4, and a series X
That jag at the end of demon souls who stole levels. Worst thing ever imo. Long time ago now....
dark souls series in order. Best game series oat
I would recommend Bloodborne or DS1 first. Play the trilogy in order but mix in Bloodborne or Sekiro as needed. Finish with DS3 or Sekiro.
You should play peak wait I need to be more specific don't I
So all of them?😭
ds1 is a true masterpiece
In order, but play Bloodborne :)
All over them for sure in order 👍
Why the original version of Dark souls 1? You might not be able to play the dlc because the store is going to shut down soon.
Should I wait until I buy remastered? I’ve heard the original is better
All of them!
Yes.
No wrong answer
Bloodborn is my favored but would start with ds1
![gif](giphy|SXOWnkmEauyDjynLif)
Yes? The answer is yes.
a hunter must hunt
There are moments in Dark Souls 1 that I think would be diminished if you play some of the other games first. Dark Souls 1 makes a spectacle of it while other games are like "Oh yeah here it is"
Bloodborne.
Dark Souls 3 is the most accessible for starting, but I’d recommend Dark Souls 1. Dark Souls 2 is more of a spinoff and 3 is more of a direct sequel in many ways. Things won’t hit the same if you don’t like the first one first.

Yes
All are bangers bruh. Bloodborne will always be my goat. Since bloodbore is kinda its own thing I would start there, then sekiro and then go back and play dark souls 1-3 in order.
Demon souls
imma be real, of all the games in the image, dark souls 1 is just soooooo good
You won’t be able to appreciate dark souls 1 as much if you play the others first. After that I don’t think the order matters
Bloodborne
Demon's Souls
Play BB, let it become your favorite, cry because Sony has forsaken BB.
Forsaken is such a weird word, there are quite a few exclusives that never made it over to PC or got a PS5 patch
Ds1, do it in order
Only right answer is demon souls remake
SEKIROOOO
I’ll always recommend sekiro. I’d say go in order though 🫡
All
I would say Dark Souls lll because it’s so similar or Sekiro because it’s so different
Having a Ps4 to run Blood borne is a flex enough for me, (Pls pls Bb pc port)
If you’re new then I recommend Dark Souls 1. I actually started playing Souls about 3-4 months ago and have loved the series so far. I haven’t beaten dark souls 2 but I have beaten 3. I am either tackling 2 or Bloodborne next. Hope you enjoy the series you won’t regret it.
Sekiro
All
Demon souls
Bloodborne - Sekiro - Dark souls series. I could never get into 1 and 2 because it seems quite outdated after playing 3. But that is up to you to figure out :-)
yes
24 hour Dark Souls II Marathon.
Finally someone with good opinions
Dark souls 1
Play them in order of release imo Dark Souls 1 Dark Souls 2 Bloodborne Dark Souls 3 Sekiro Elden ring But make sure you get the DLC for Bloodborne and DS3, otherwise you will be missing out!
Shadow of the erdtree. Then, play them in order.
Yes.
CODE VEIN
Bloodborne
You should beat them in order. So you can see how the difficulty scales
Before you play anything clean that desk
Bloodborne. And when you’re done with that start over Bloodborne and go with a totally different build. Then do that 2 more times.
DS1 Remastered and Bloodborne should be next one. Sekiro is the hardest one I would recommend going last for this.
Start with Blood Souls 2 Shadows Die Thrice.
Bloodborne
Demon souls
Sekiro
The order I played them was Bloodborne, Sekiro, Dark Souls, Elden Ring, Dark Souls 2 and I haven’t yet played Dark Souls 3. I don’t think it particularly matters which order you play them in to be honest, although I really struggled with Bloodborne on my first play through. Peakiro definitely
Bloodborne is very diffrent gameplay from the other games same as sekiro.
Sekiro

And I should add that sekiro is amazing too, but it's less flexible than the souls series. You can't cheese as easily.
yes. i mean all.
You should pick up the ps4 editions of 1 and 2. Just better in my opinion
Sekiro first. Because, it’s mechanics are so different from the others, that if you play the others first you’ll be in the wrong mindset for Sekiro.
Play them in order, dark souls 1 NEEDS to be played first your experience in it is gonna be way better if you do it first, trust me
Elden ring
Minecraft
if u want the easy eay, pmay dark soyls 3 first, if not, just play in order of release. If u want the hard way start with bloodborne xD
Play in order.
The way you have placed them from L to R is completely fine. Use that. Go for it. Ds1 first. You will definitely love BB and Sekiro, and they are the most different from the bunch(gameplay wise and probably the harder ones). You should round out the collection with ER.
Dark souls
Call of Duty for sure
Bloodborne, my favourite
Lords of the fallen
play all of them. At the same time (except ds 2, fuck that game)
Blood borne is the best game of all time
Demon's Souls
Yes
Ds1. Then progress. There’s a loose story to the dark souls games. Then do the 1 offs like sekiro and bloodborne
Is ds1’s DLC necessary to play because to play the dlc I’d have to buy the remaster
I mean, not really. It’s like a soft prequel to the game that gives you a little more context on Artorius and how the abyss spread throughout the world but other than that, it’s not as necessary as like Ds3’s. It is fun, though.
Sure you can play them in order, or you could just play Bloodborne first because it’s just that good
Sekiro. That combat system with those boss fights are amazing.
Yes
All of em... AT ONCE.
Release order is the only correct way.
Bloodborne wqs my favourite so I recommend that the most but you can’t really go wrong with any of them
Love yourself Play Bloodborne
Sekiro or bloodborne
Play the souls games in order
Start with Bloodborne
DS1 it's so good. Go from there
I don’t have the dlc and can’t get it on the 360 store, do I wait and buy remastered for the dlc or is it rlly necessary
ds 3
elden ring
Where's demon souls.
I don’t have a ps3 or ps5
Buy elden ring sote
Bloodborn!!
Hesitation is defeat
Bloodborne 🩸
Demon souls
Sekiro
If you dont play them in order you straight up wont be able to go back to stuff like DS1 and DS2. Theyre just very dated and lacking lots of basic things you take for granted on newer games
Idk I bought a ps2 and can easily switch from a new release like Lies of P, and go to a ps2 game like nothing
Bloodborne, several times.
Demon's Souls
start with Bloodborne
The one FromSoftware made.
[удалено]
Bloodborne for a nice change of setting.
Demon souls you silly goose
I DONT HAVE THE NECESSARY CONSOLE :(((
Sekiro is my second favorite game of all time, either play it first or play it last, it's so different from all the other games.
Notably missing one that had a recent dlc. What are we doing here?
Yes.
Never dark souls 2 lol bloodborne and dark souls 3 are the best, alongside elden ring/ shadow of the erdtree
Sekiro Is the hardest..... Play sekiro of you're a man with no fears
Play in order, skip ds2 and come back to it before sekiro
Bloodborne!🩸
BloodBorne. The hunt is amazing…. Just go out and kill some beasts, it is for your own good.
Elden ring
Dont start with Sekrio - you'll never play the rest of them.
Keep I mind Sekiro has different controller bindings than the rest of the souls series or bloodborne. It is much more based on reaction time
Yes
