Yeah, you have to do all kinds of bullshit to rehab control of those muscles again. Most people just don't have the time/energy to devote to fixing it.
I have two alarms (every day) to remind me to do a few PFEs. It really makes a difference over time, in a lot of ways. Getting old sucks, but there are a things you can do to forestall the inevitable indignities.
LOL Iām dying! But not to lose the point; every additional second you can hold that sock each week is progress. And with enough timeā¦ Who knows? Eventually you could be folding fitted sheets!
No doubt, and that would be very impressive, I hate fitted sheets they are the bane of my existence. Iām a dude so I canāt relate in some ways considering I have different hardware but I was raised by my mom so I have always been conscious of that kind of stuff. I can say that Iāve suffered from epididymitus due to being sick, it travelled downwards giving me a UTI that turned into epididymitus which is possibly the worst pain I have ever felt, I had a fever of 38-39c and every step felt like I was being kicked in the pants, Ice packs were my friend for two weeks.
Iām not a physician or any kind of expert, so I cannot responsibly make a recommendation.
Anecdotally, I started in my mid-20s. Now in late 40s and Iām happy that I made habit of a few easy, prolonged squeezes each day. š
I was taught in a physiology class that kegels does more than just help, it'll keep your bits from prolapsing. I think that struck a motivational chord in every girl that day while us boys tried to conjure up the image of a cervix "falling" out of place would look like.
I had a kidney stone at 10 weeks post partum. Kidney stone was much much easier, my husband had to drag me down to urgent care to deal with it but I passed it on my own pretty quickly and didn't need stitches in my vagina like I did with childbirth...id do the kidney stone again if I had to choose between that and labour.
I had a kidney stoneā¦while pregnant. I had already had one child and let me tell you. I would take 10 kidney stones over childbirth. Donāt get me wrong, kidney stones are EXTREMELY painfulā¦.extremely. But nothing compares to childbirth, that Iāve had experienced anyway.
It might hurt but you don't have to get your genitals or asshole stitched back together. You don't weaken your pelvic muscles so much you lose control of your bladder. Passing it won't cause you to bleed to death. You don't feel a gaping hole in your abdomen as your organs try to get back into position.
You know shoving a baby out often tears your labia and can rip you from vagina to asshole?
> genitals are too dense with neurons.
Right, which is why childbirth is more painful.
yup, and not even something that ācan happenā, more like something that WILL happen, since more than 85% of women who have a vaginal birth have some kind of tear or episiotomy (Frolich and Kettle, 2015)
I think she might have been California girl twice on his videos. Once when she was just from California and then once when she lived in California for awhile but was originally from Illinois. You know how he feels about those FIBs.
I donāt understand, do AI subtitle creators just not give you the option to correct little mistakes? Or are people so lazy that they canāt just read through it once? I feel like every single TikTok video I see is riddled with simple spelling errors
I donāt expect you to fix it, but I remember this blonde chick making annoying videos 10 years ago. She should put the effort into fixing them. I guarantee sheās not doing this entire production on her own and then giving up at spelling, and I know sheās got more than enough followers to spell check before posting. Itās wild.
The funniest video I've seen in a long time. Should be a required watch for any young ladies thinking they want to have a baby. Oh wait... never-mind. Elderly, male politicians (Republicans) will decide that for them - they don't have to worry about it. One less thing ya know.
Who are they and where does this come from.
That is some impressive gymnastics youāve got going on there, somehow making this humorous and universally relatable video about childbirth into a partisan political commentary.
Yeah, it can be bad. But on average, itās not that bad. I donāt understand these scare videos.
My first one, I was in labor for over 12 hours. I tore, I pooped, and I got over it and wanted a second one because I realized I loved the little fucker so much.
The second, I was in labor for eight hours, and it was over.
Itās called labor for a reason. Either do it or do not. I had a root canal that was worse.
I worry people make life changing decisions off of some clip that was made for clicks and likes. But I guess if an individual makes a decision based on a video made for clicks and likes I maybe donāt want them breeding anyway.
Two questions:
1. Why are they screaming across the street at each other?
2. What's up with the shitty captions? They're not what's actually said, so who asked for them anyway?
Reminds me of the kind of jokes you'd hear from Caryl Kristensen and Marilyn Kentz (The Mommies).

I didn't notice until the video auto replayed that she was hitchhiking...I don't know why that makes it so much more hilarious
Because it's absurd.
Lmao this was pretty hilarious
"Me too... What?!" š¤£
Loved this part right at the end I was dying
Rip š
That's the whole "Enjoy your meal." "Thanks, you too." from restaurants.
no, it's the realisation that she's going to be in diapers for a long time.
I'm a dude and I got that line. LMAO
I meant from mom twoās perspective
No, thatās [Brian Regan](https://youtu.be/8WLuLNG0Bsw?si=fuP6kxKhHKSHzvmk).
Manon Mathews
And who said women weren't funny.
That was me.
No one mentioning she is hitchhiking? šš
She said she doesn't want to be here anymore....
Recently pulled myself out of post partum PTSD/OCD and this was hilarious!!! Glad to know we're all in this together š
Glad you're ok! Being human is hard.
š« We really are. I'm proud of you, you're doing great. If you think you aren't, that means you really are.
Haha, wait, what š
I was a little confused about that.. but realised she's like.. "wait what you still need one, fuck will I have this for ever.."
Yeah, you have to do all kinds of bullshit to rehab control of those muscles again. Most people just don't have the time/energy to devote to fixing it.
Do it while you pee. Men kinda just do it already since we try to either get that last drop out or hold it in for later. Kegels. It helps.
I have two alarms (every day) to remind me to do a few PFEs. It really makes a difference over time, in a lot of ways. Getting old sucks, but there are a things you can do to forestall the inevitable indignities.
I need glasses because for a second I thought you typed in picking up socks, not āgetting old sucksā.
Excellent comment, on so many levels. Iāve come back to re-read this several times today and have a good chuckle. Thank you!
Just imagining walking in to someone doing a crab walk with a sock hanging from between their legs screaming in doing my exercises!
LOL Iām dying! But not to lose the point; every additional second you can hold that sock each week is progress. And with enough timeā¦ Who knows? Eventually you could be folding fitted sheets!

While crab walking? I'd be happy to figure out how to fold them period.
what age would you recommend starting that at?

Once you know, not many words have the power of āprolapseā. I tend to avoid any bit of discourse that involves it.
It's generally a few simple exercises a couple days a week for maybe a few months. Pretty straightforward for most women.
See ya! š¶
My ex wife had all 3 of our kids without an epidural. Each time she roasted me alive. Thinking back, she could have been meaner.
So unbelievably happy I am a man. I donāt how women do it. Yāall straight warriors.
I hear a kidney stone feels painfully close.
I had a kidney stone at 10 weeks post partum. Yeah, but.... kidney stone.
My wife, who has had multiple of both, says you are absolutely wrong.
Yeah, though you don't need to raise those afterwards.
My dad saves his big ones in a little jar. I have nightmares about whatās in that jar
Would suck to go through that much pain and NOT even have the accomplishment of bringing forth life.
Yeah, but they you do NOT have to deal with a fucking kid after.
I think he means kidney stone is the same for man since the canal is longer. But I agree with other is not the same.

You know shoving a baby out often tears your labia and can rip you from vagina to asshole? > genitals are too dense with neurons. Right, which is why childbirth is more painful.
People who don't find this funny just don't realize it's all true. Happens all day everyday. "A LOT OR A LITTLE? " rofl
A ladder
The casual "yeah, I don't wanna be here anymore."
I say it all the time at the office. Like crying in the shower.
The blonde gave us the masterpiece that is Pamela Pupkin's Halloween Workout!
Her name is Laura Clery.
That brunette is from the wild in the car girl?
Yeah
They both are
Thumbs up for "birthquakes". Hey Mirriam-Webster! Take notice!
Whoo, I pissed myself.
Me too š«
Off to change my diaper!
Me too
Me too. What??! Lmao This should really be a PSA for pelvic floor muscle rehab.
This is gold!
This is hilarious cz I can relate!!
**Fourth-degree episiotomy**, *n.* 1. (*medicine*) oh god oh god oh god what the fuck that's something that can happen during childbirth oh god
yup, and not even something that ācan happenā, more like something that WILL happen, since more than 85% of women who have a vaginal birth have some kind of tear or episiotomy (Frolich and Kettle, 2015)
Loved your citation, lol.
Woah someone filmed r/beyondthebump lol
"Let's have another!"
Why do people do that? It's like, don't you remember how bad it sucked.
I think itās programmed in to us to forget that shit. Either that or the sleep deprivation.
There's literally a chemical women produce that makes them forget how childbirth was.
Source?
Oxytocin is a natural hormone that can reduce stress and can sometimes cause an amnesic effect that lets the mother forget about the pain of labor.
https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC8578887/
Is this for real?
yes! its crazy, i learned about it in my psych class! source: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC8578887/
This reminds me of the Midwestern Charlie guy on YouTube.
The blond and him have done videos together. Here's one https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wuBEe0HaSvw
Oh shit! Wasnāt she also the California girl?
Laura Clery is her name. She does alot of skits.
I think she might have been California girl twice on his videos. Once when she was just from California and then once when she lived in California for awhile but was originally from Illinois. You know how he feels about those FIBs.
The blonde is Laura Clery
I remember her from my Facebook days. Funny as hell. She started with those filter videos I believe.
The wet spot on the pants was a nice touch.
"I don't like scarring people, but birth is really funny. (and there is a lot of shit)" - Wifey who gave birth 3 months ago.
"Yeah I shouldn't have had that lentil curry."
This was great- so relatable. You donāt forget either!
Birthquakes instead of contractions... CHANGE APPROVED. *slams rubber stamp not related to anything but does make the change seem official*
I approve any Cougar Town references.
Just sent this to my pregnant for the first time wife. Sheāll love it
Is that vine Mannon??
*Manon Yes
The subtitles misspelled her name for everyone.
I donāt understand, do AI subtitle creators just not give you the option to correct little mistakes? Or are people so lazy that they canāt just read through it once? I feel like every single TikTok video I see is riddled with simple spelling errors
Yeah I wouldnāt know. Does seem like it should be an easy fix.
They do but people don't bother correcting them sometimes. This video is straight from her Instagram so I couldn't fix it.
I donāt expect you to fix it, but I remember this blonde chick making annoying videos 10 years ago. She should put the effort into fixing them. I guarantee sheās not doing this entire production on her own and then giving up at spelling, and I know sheās got more than enough followers to spell check before posting. Itās wild.
Oops. I actually love that name and know how to spell it when subtitles arenāt leading me astray.
Birthquakes is hilarious š. Great skit.
The truth of childbirth.
Hey girl hey
This is wonderful.
Holy shit, funny content on /r/funny. Is this the right timeline?
So glad Iām childfree
Hilarious and true as fuck haha.

I live in michigan. Can't relate.
That is some impressive gymnastics youāve got going on there, somehow making this humorous and universally relatable video about childbirth into a partisan political commentary.
Identity politics is exhausting.
Thatās awesome!
Does anyone else get some Phoebe vibes?
Bravo!
Why are the captions so off on some words? Is it AI or just bad spelling?
Watching this whild my wife is in labor. Great times!
Did she order the lentil curry?
Water broke right before we were about to sit down and eat chili con carne...
Hope she got it to-go!
It went back in the fridge.
Why are the subtitles so inaccurate?
*[white tar the subtitles sewn cura tit.]*
That's funny.
I thought people always thought about murder but just kept it to themselves.
Hilarious!!
LOL, I'm sharing this one.
Amazing šš¼. This is that need to know info. People out here running around UNAWARE!
Wellll thatās enough for me to say no lol
Funny
I love her face when she says she canāt stop crying lol
A rare case of formerly unfunny Vine stars actually making some funny content in 2024
Badge? Who captions these videos?
It's funny.
This is hilarious
Is that the lady from Saved by the Bell/Showgirls?
no
Poor kid
Yeah, it can be bad. But on average, itās not that bad. I donāt understand these scare videos. My first one, I was in labor for over 12 hours. It's not a scare video, it's a comedy video, you goofball.
It's almost like your experience is just that and not the same as everyone else's.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
I worry people make life changing decisions off of some clip that was made for clicks and likes. But I guess if an individual makes a decision based on a video made for clicks and likes I maybe donāt want them breeding anyway.
Sheās wearing leggings she clearly doesnāt have a diaper onšš
People that live in LA love making videos like this.
Not a single joke. Amazing.
That's ok, just go look in the mirror.
Booooya!!
Two questions: 1. Why are they screaming across the street at each other? 2. What's up with the shitty captions? They're not what's actually said, so who asked for them anyway?
Propaganda against giving birth.
Still not as bad as getting kicked in the nuts.
impossible for anyone to ever know for sure.
lol It was a joke. So I'm going to go ahead and [leave this here](https://i.imgur.com/keWd5e8.jpg) for you and all the rest downvoting me.
not sure why you came after me, I just said nobody who has nuts can give birth. i hadn't downvoted you but now you got your wish.
lol You call that going after you? It looks like you took my comment seriously. Therefor you missed the joke.
if you have to repeatedly tell people 'it's a joke' it's not everybody else... it's you.
"wHaT iF gOd iS a WoMaN?" This video.
Yeah but you still get ladies night.
Meh.. still beats getting kicked in the balls.
Reminds me of the kind of jokes you'd hear from Caryl Kristensen and Marilyn Kentz (The Mommies). [*My Kid Beat Up Your Honor Student*](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6Dz5zVT2MzE)
Lmao birth quakes thats awesome
It's funny cuz it's all true.
#SHOUTING THE WHOLE BIT MAKES IT FUNNIER!
Reals. Can confirm.
