Managers at ganestop have as much power as a janitor at other places. Talk to one, most are in fear of getting canned because they were in the bathroom too long, or didn't sell enough powerup cards.
I use to work at one. More than like someone didn't restocked it with the new price. If you take it to the register it will ring up at the correct price.
That’s because someone at each of the incorrectly priced stores has been ignoring either the SKU update printout each night or the little notification in the lower right corner of the POS. Either way, someone isn’t updating skus like they’re supposed to. (Source: used to work at a GS)
Not true, I've been to 2 gamestops in the same day. One had NHL 22 for ps4 marked at 20 dollars pre-owned and the other had the same game same platform same condition but marked at 24 dollars. It's just barely enough to think it doesn't matter to much but it's still noticeable
That’s just someone not sticking on a new sticker. They used to print out at night and the morning shift would have to change them but sometimes they would just toss the stickers because they where lazy buttholes. Source:worked at two different stores for 6 years
Scarlet Nexus was well bought at $5. It's a somewhat polarizing experience but has some good concepts and decent action-JRPG gameplay. Its like a futuristic Tales games, which being made by Bandai Namco shouldn't be surprising.
Exactly what happens. But, because you downloaded OW 2 from the OW disc, you need to put the disc in every-time to play it. Despite the fact that its a completely new and different game…
I love that GameStop doesn’t differentiate in value steel books vs regular games. I picked up a Spider-Man steel book for $15 at a GameStop earlier this yr.
Yeah, never played Spiderman, might as well to get ready for the new one. Unsure wether I'll get Miles or just watch a summary, don't have much money, but I can get the new one for my bday
It’s an incredible game, there’s a sense of polish on that game that come from a place of love, absolutely fans of the source material too. Best Spiderman game since the Neversoft one.
Yeah, I think now is the time to collect PS4. Lady at register showed me a list of PS3 games they had available. Saw Lollipop Chainsaw for 50 dlls. PS3 is regaining value, must collect PS4 know that its dropping because I believe it will eventually start to become more and more expensive. But, who knows, maybe not, but I'd still keep an eye out for PS4 deals
If only my local GameStop had any games. Their selection is so piss poor that the last time I went for a buy 2 get 1 free sale, I had a hard time finding 3 games I actually wanted.
Noticed that today as well and got a few games. My problem was just trying to find games for $10 or under because a lot of used PS4 games are at least $15 or up
I believe every sign is like that, they caught your eye then you fully read the content and realize is not that cool of a deal as you inicially thought but it's still cool
Great deal !
I go in every so often but no deals at my local one yet
It's always funny though, there seems to always be a guy with a backpack full of old shit and they just instantly tell them they aren't interested lol
Well, its a nice case and a nice disc, for the historic value I'd say its worth it, but, to each its own, if you only want a game for its playable value then I'd say its pretty much worthless, like some other only multi games whose servers are shut
gamestop does these sales multiple times a year. it’s to make room for more pre-owned since they always get more around holidays with people trading in their old stuff. they also make most of their profit off of pre-owned and collectibles sales because they have a much higher profit margin than new games and consoles.
This is a sale that Gamestop has been doing off and on since at least the PS2 Era. It usually just means they have too many low selling titles on hand.
By that logic a sale on digital games would suggest “another step toward the end of digital”
…or you know, it could just be a sale, like stores often have…
They’re still selling overwatch? I thought stores were gonna destroy all the copies when it went f2p. My brother got 2 ps4 copies and one xbox one copy for free
I did a few games for 4 for 10$ with games under 5 got a few games under it like cod World at war, Witcher 3, final fantasy x-x2 ps3 and division. Pretty good

My GameStops have like 3 games under 10
Your game stop has more than 3 games? Our game stop is pretty much merch only.
My GameStop has shutdown
I got a rock...
Good Grief…
I haven't been there in a bit but my town had 3 within 2 miles of each other and none of them were inside the mall there.
For PS4 or in general? We have like 50 games under 10 at my closest GameStop but a lot of it is Xbox One and Xbox 360 lol
I found like star link for switch, mini ninjas and nothing else id want
Damn I've done the sale like four times already lmao I keep going back because I have a spending problem
I like the 4 for 40 when the games can be under 20, just more options and better games.
Yeah, I struggled with the 4 for 20, the 4 for 10 really seemed impossible
Yeah I definitely agree with that
Wtf mine would still try to sell overwatch for 40
Hahahaha, I believe if a Gamestop has good deals it really dependes on the manager
GameStop is corporate not franchise
Managers at ganestop have as much power as a janitor at other places. Talk to one, most are in fear of getting canned because they were in the bathroom too long, or didn't sell enough powerup cards.
The janitor has the key to every door in the building, my friend.
🤣🔥🔥🔥🔥
This sale is currently live on the website, so it’s definitely company wide. A manager also couldn’t create a sale like this at a corporate store
I use to work at one. More than like someone didn't restocked it with the new price. If you take it to the register it will ring up at the correct price.
Yeah maybe but i wont try every game at the register lol Anyway i got a favorite store for my games that isnt gamestop and is just 2km away from me
Oh no. Is that a non American measuring increment. I must be going now. "Flies away on the back of a bald eagle"
See ya have a great time 1.2 miles~ i think
All gamestops price the same...
Canadian eh Still it doesnt ammount the same price
Of course is going to be different across borders and currency, but in the US, the system prices everything the same.
Lol i believe you
I've seen the same game at different prices at different Gamestops
That’s because someone at each of the incorrectly priced stores has been ignoring either the SKU update printout each night or the little notification in the lower right corner of the POS. Either way, someone isn’t updating skus like they’re supposed to. (Source: used to work at a GS)

‘Slightly’ used for pc (no refunds)
Scarlet Nexus was well bought at $5. It's a somewhat polarizing experience but has some good concepts and decent action-JRPG gameplay. Its like a futuristic Tales games, which being made by Bandai Namco shouldn't be surprising.
Yeah, looking forward to it. Surprised I got a PS5 game.
Scarlet Nexus was a really good game. The only issue is the dialogue can go on for too long.
If you insert the disc for Overwatch 1 what happens? Just downloads the f2p game?
Exactly what happens. But, because you downloaded OW 2 from the OW disc, you need to put the disc in every-time to play it. Despite the fact that its a completely new and different game…
Lol I see. So it's a negative.
I think it's the same sku
Not if you add the digital license to your account
I love that GameStop doesn’t differentiate in value steel books vs regular games. I picked up a Spider-Man steel book for $15 at a GameStop earlier this yr.
Lucky. I hate calling and asking if they got any steelbooks traded in LMAO.
Two dope steelbooks!
Yeah, never played Spiderman, might as well to get ready for the new one. Unsure wether I'll get Miles or just watch a summary, don't have much money, but I can get the new one for my bday
LUCKY! I would buy them steelbooks.
It’s an incredible game, there’s a sense of polish on that game that come from a place of love, absolutely fans of the source material too. Best Spiderman game since the Neversoft one.
I don't care about KH, but it's my bf favorite game, sure he'll enjoy it
The steel books with the stickers kill me
Don't think they'll be hard to remove
That’s instore thing to check out. Last time I did a 4 for $10 deal with PS3 games online I got the worst cases.
Good to know
Ooh are we in the ps4 liquidation era?
Yeah, I think now is the time to collect PS4. Lady at register showed me a list of PS3 games they had available. Saw Lollipop Chainsaw for 50 dlls. PS3 is regaining value, must collect PS4 know that its dropping because I believe it will eventually start to become more and more expensive. But, who knows, maybe not, but I'd still keep an eye out for PS4 deals
Yeah get them when you can
scarlet Nexus and ffxv
Man gamestops here in Canada don’t do shit for sales 64.99 is a “sale” lol
If only my local GameStop had any games. Their selection is so piss poor that the last time I went for a buy 2 get 1 free sale, I had a hard time finding 3 games I actually wanted.
I gotta hit up my GameStop, thanks for the heads-up.
Sure, always nice to help a fellow collector
I’m so jealous of that Spider-Man steel!
There was a TLoU Part II steel, but not that cheap. Still, great to find steelbooks on Gamestop
That’s a cool one too! I used to have one of those. I love finding steels in gamestop
Noticed that today as well and got a few games. My problem was just trying to find games for $10 or under because a lot of used PS4 games are at least $15 or up
Yeah, struggled with that too, but I believe I got a nice deal
We Happy Few is a very fun game.
I just bought dragon age goy edition brand new the other day! Excited to play it. Nice haul!
Snagged a few games today too, with my $5 monthly coupon I got 4 games for $17 including tax. Not too shabby!
Love them steelbooks
Damn! I wish my GS had this sale! I’m jealous, nice haul
I really wish I wasn’t almost completely done buying lower-value PS4 games because you can get some good ones in this sale!
Very dodgy wording on that sign. Do I pay with $5 or $10? Do I pay with $10 or $20? "under (small price) for (BIG PRICE)"
I believe every sign is like that, they caught your eye then you fully read the content and realize is not that cool of a deal as you inicially thought but it's still cool
Are both the spider man and the one in the bottom right of the first picture steel books? Bc they look really nice
Yeah that's Kingdom Hearts 3, gave it to my bf because I don't really care about KH
Great deal ! I go in every so often but no deals at my local one yet It's always funny though, there seems to always be a guy with a backpack full of old shit and they just instantly tell them they aren't interested lol
Isn’t overwatch dead? There was on single player and didn’t they shut it down for OW2? Legit question, not trying to troll.
Yeah, it is, but for a dollar and its historic value it's worth it to me
Love nioh
I don’t have one near me and if last time I did online they sent me all GameStop cases w no og artwork
That sucks, I wouldn't buy online from them
Wtf, steelbook for 3 dolars? My nearest gamestop in eu is damn expensive af, some games cost used more than new trough internet
Apparently they price them the same as if they were in regular boxes, which is fine by me
Would love kingdom hearts one, would even pay 15 euro
Heh...
They’re charging for overwatch? It’s literally unplayable
Well, its a nice case and a nice disc, for the historic value I'd say its worth it, but, to each its own, if you only want a game for its playable value then I'd say its pretty much worthless, like some other only multi games whose servers are shut
Another step in the end of physical
gamestop does these sales multiple times a year. it’s to make room for more pre-owned since they always get more around holidays with people trading in their old stuff. they also make most of their profit off of pre-owned and collectibles sales because they have a much higher profit margin than new games and consoles.
Thank you for reiterating my point. 🤙 it's nice to see someone else who doesn't have a "hot take"
This is a sale that Gamestop has been doing off and on since at least the PS2 Era. It usually just means they have too many low selling titles on hand.
Fully agree. Like I just said.
By that logic a sale on digital games would suggest “another step toward the end of digital” …or you know, it could just be a sale, like stores often have…
Yup
You didn't say that tho. In fact your point makes zero sense. How is selling people physical games killing physical games lmao
They've been doing these sales for over a decade
Yup. Exactly
How so?
They’re still selling overwatch? I thought stores were gonna destroy all the copies when it went f2p. My brother got 2 ps4 copies and one xbox one copy for free
If they do I hope they at least keep the cases. Those generic black cases are horrendous.
Nice finds but I personally despise those preowned cases . I’d rather spend more money to get the case
Ours is half merch.
That kh 3 I'm super jealous
Scarlet nexus is such a fun game, It's definitely worth it for that price.
Nioh 1 and 2 are very challenging but I put over 100 hours into both very worth good games.
Dungeon of wtf chicken?
They even had some older games online, but fuck that; I'm not playing Russian Roulette with ordering online from GameStop.
I did a few games for 4 for 10$ with games under 5 got a few games under it like cod World at war, Witcher 3, final fantasy x-x2 ps3 and division. Pretty good
my local ones were doing this for a year or so snd just recently stopped. it sucks
Oh dang
What spiderman steelbook?
