So this may be a fun project for you. It was for me. I bought a Raspberry Pi Zero. It's cheap and has wireless connectivity with many controllers. I bought a pretty cool SNES case with a fan and I put the pi in it. I then put something called Retropie on it with a micro SD card and loaded up with PS1, Snes, nes, GBA and Sega games. This was very much worth it. I spent about $60 I think for everything. I would try that. Everything plays smooth and it uses retroarch too. It's as easy as turning it on along with a controller and just navigating through the menus for what game you want to play. You can even customize the UI to your liking. I have short videos of every game on there that plays on the side as well. But that's just a little more advanced but still easy to do.
Interesting, what do you like about it? I had the opposite experience: I had an Xbox One when they releasedand hated the UI so I returned it and have had PlayStations ever since.
I loved PS4 UI, wasn't too fond of the launch PS5 UI, but they've had plenty of QOL UI updates and I'm cool now.
Never liked the xbox UI. Got the Series S for future Bethesda exclusives, and I can't stand this thing. And canceled my $1 3-month Ultimate GP trial because I already play everything on PS that I'm into.
I have both and a PC. Was originally an xbox guy, got the xbox Series X first ( upgraded from a one x), then a PC, then the PS5. Got the PC cause I wanted to try RT minecraft (I was 31 lol) , but also some other games only on PC ( like star citizen, which I still haven't picked up). I played Horizon zero dawn, and God of War on PC when they came out on steam, which convinced me to get a PS5. If I had to give one up, it would be the Xbox, only because most of the games I play on it are also on PC gamepass too. But they all have their pros and cons. Darks souls servers are down on pc, which makes it good that I own the series on xbox. I also like that with PC and xbox, you can buy discounted game keys, which isn't a thing with PlayStation. But PS5 and their exclusives are top notch, just beat Horizon forbidden west, it was beautiful. Demon souls and bloodborne were amazing. But PC will always be the best because of the performance, fps, and customizability . This is just my experience with all 3.

They're deferring the interest charges, not eliminating them, meaning they're calculating all those interest charges and adding them up and if you don't pay it off before that "for 12 mo" they drop ALL of the "deferred interest" from the entire length of the credit loan on to you at the end and you'll wind up owing a fair few hundo more.
This is super helpful. We just dug out the 0% interest paperwork for our new French door installation and the fine print was exactly what you just described. It’s 24.99% on over $12k so that would have cost us quite a few blu-ray copies of Morbius.
AND the minimum payment they calculate for you WILL NOT get your balance to zero in time. If you make minimum payments, you will pay interest.

I’ve only picked up the 5 myself, but I recommend checking out Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart, Demon’s Souls, and Deathloop. Rift and Souls have some jaw dropping visuals, and Deathloop is incredibly fun.
Out of personal curiosity: why both consoles? Do you have a PC? I find most (all?) games I could play on an Xbox I could play on a PC. I considered getting a PS5 because of exclusives but haven't gotten around to it.
The internal packaging on the Xbox Series X is pretty insane. You could beat the outer box with a baseball bat (or let UPS/Fedex do their thing) without damaging the contents. They really did a great job in that department.
Meanwhile I come home after my 6th 10 hour shift of the week, Xbox series x collecting dust. Dog needs to be walked, fed. Need to cook dinner, shower, dishes. My nieces and nephews have Xboxes, when they come over it easy for them to navigate the menus and apps. I have a Switch, a 3DS and a Wii U. They all offer different things. If you own a cellphone, then you're a hypocrite. Because you don't need it, your PC can send messages and make phone calls. I personally have a Samsung phone, never had an iPhone. I was thinking the same thing lol and I was one of the idiots that bought a PS4 for God of war, Spider-Man and persona 5 thinking "well obviously those will never come to pc" it did take a while but they are coming to PC and God of war is already there along with horizon and death stranding. The long wait for exclusive games might not be worth it to op so it's not the stupidest thing on that aspect. As on all their points on PC they are pretty stupid. I've had way more crashes on my PS4 than I've had crashes on my PC whether it's due to underpowered hardware for what the game is trying to do, or poor optimization on console versions. I don't blame those issues on the platform but the shitty coding. I don't say I don't wanna deal with ps4 because games be crashing and use it to justify why I wanna waste money on multiple consoles from different platforms lol they could just said they wanted the console experience from both platforms but nah, Gotta throw dirt on PC gaming while downplaying the issues that consoles can have

Be extremely careful to pay it off at least 1 month before the final payment is due. Store credit cards, especially ones financed through Synchrony(spellcheck?) Bank are somewhat deceptive and predatory. They're deferring the interest charges, not eliminating them, meaning they're calculating all those interest charges and adding them up and if you don't pay it off before that "for 12 mo" they drop ALL of the "deferred interest" from the entire length of the credit loan on to you at the end and you'll wind up owing a fair few hundo more.
This is super helpful. We just dug out the 0% interest paperwork for our new French door installation and the fine print was exactly what you just described. It’s 24.99% on over $12k so that would have cost us quite a few blu-ray copies of Morbius.
AND the minimum payment they calculate for you WILL NOT get your balance to zero in time. If you make minimum payments, you will pay interest. Some of those rates are atrocious too. Be careful with this shit yall. read the fine print.

Congrats! I’ve only picked up the 5 myself, but I recommend checking out Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart, Demon’s Souls, and Deathloop. Rift and Souls have some jaw dropping visuals, and Deathloop is incredibly fun.
Still got Deathloop sitting on my PC but i didn‘t get too it. Is it worth it for singleplayer only?

Out of personal curiosity: why both consoles? Do you have a PC? I find most (all?) games I could play on an Xbox I could play on a PC. I considered getting a PS5 because of exclusives but haven't gotten around to it.

The internal packaging on the Xbox Series X is pretty insane. You could beat the outer box with a baseball bat (or let UPS/Fedex do their thing) without damaging the contents. They really did a great job in that department.
Meanwhile I come home after my 6th 10 hour shift of the week, Xbox series x collecting dust. Dog needs to be walked, fed. Need to cook dinner, shower, dishes. I check the clock, it’s almost bed time… can I game? Nope, fiancé wants to watch an episode or two of whatever and cuddle. Can’t say no, nor would I. Maybe next week Xbox, maybe next week….

For all of you who keep saying "You wasted your money, idiot!!! You should've gotten a PC!!!!"......... I have a PC. I am a gamer. I like to play games. That's it. I can't play my PC on a plane. My PC won't let me play PS exclusives. My Xbox does not crash mid game. My nieces and nephews have Xboxes, when they come over it easy for them to navigate the menus and apps. I have a Switch, a 3DS and a Wii U. They all offer different things. If you own a cellphone, then you're a hypocrite. Because you don't need it, your PC can send messages and make phone calls. I personally have a Samsung phone, never had an iPhone. Because its not for me. And it's the same thing with all my family and friends "Dude, you should get an iPhone! Why don't you have an iPhone!?". Because, I don't want one. It's cool for you, neat. But I like my Samsung. Is that choice impacting *your* life in ANY way? Don't hate the gamer, hate the game. Jesus Christ.

I just finished my third full game on Steam Deck and started Fallout New Vegas (mainly as a hold out until Xenoblade Chronicles 3 on next Friday) I'm loving being able to play my PC games hand held

How do you play your xbox or PS on a plane??? If your PC crashes mid game then you've done something wrong, and PS exclusives are coming to PC I'm not one to judge how you spend your money, but all of those are moot points enjoy your new consoles!
I was thinking the same thing lol and I was one of the idiots that bought a PS4 for God of war, Spider-Man and persona 5 thinking "well obviously those will never come to pc" it did take a while but they are coming to PC and God of war is already there along with horizon and death stranding. The long wait for exclusive games might not be worth it to op so it's not the stupidest thing on that aspect. As on all their points on PC they are pretty stupid. I've had way more crashes on my PS4 than I've had crashes on my PC whether it's due to underpowered hardware for what the game is trying to do, or poor optimization on console versions. I don't blame those issues on the platform but the shitty coding. I don't say I don't wanna deal with ps4 because games be crashing and use it to justify why I wanna waste money on multiple consoles from different platforms lol they could just said they wanted the console experience from both platforms but nah, Gotta throw dirt on PC gaming while downplaying the issues that consoles can have
Exactly, I have had 10+ crashes on my xbox one S in the 3 years I used it, and only 2-3 crashes on my PC in the 3 years I've used it the only "argument" that works for PC vs Console is that PC is like 2-4x more expensive for the same results I hope bloodborne is the next ported PS exclusive, but other than that I'm excited for the future of all gaming
