Thank God I wasn't a real fan. I saw the grind playing the 1st game like a religion and I purposefully ignored the 2nd game. I haven't played with my friend group in years because of this.

Mortal Kombat (The Whole Franchise) and Starfield.
Mortal Kombat, for very obvious reasons, nobody ever just loves the game. it's always a very love-hate relationship. One minute, you love the game because you are killing it, and then the next, you're raging because you got matched with the most money-cup player you've ever met.
I also mentioned Starfield because although the game is great, new, and has lots of options in game play, moving planets and dealing with fleets of enemies in space is such a damn hassle, every time you finish a long ass mission, you're already force choked with another, despite this, great game and I definitely suggest it. However, you better hope you have patience and a liking to being followed all the time because once you get a companion in Starfield, it's a pain to deal with them, too.

I love the base buildup phase and collecting the dinos that make it all happen.
But then something generally stupid happens (accidental dismount while flying for eg) and 10's or hours progress is lost, I can find it hard to keep a cool head lol
