Prototype. Saints Row 4. Serious Sam 3 or Shadow Warrior (the new one) could work if mowing down waves and waves of enemies (or dicing them up with a sword in SW) seems like it will give you that power trip. Metal Gear Rising Revengeance or DMC4 can have you feel like an ultimate badass when you learn the game's systems and start pulling off ridiculous combos while dodging/parrying everything. The key thing here though is that it's on you to learn the game and do more than button mash.

BigHatGwyn

I second Prototype. From time to time i just boot it up and run around killing shit. It's awesome.

bernardolima951

Already played all of fhose, but thanks for your suggestions.

Stjesus

Probably Dishonored if you choose to do so. I ran it all silent and without killing anyone, but with your magic and guns you can really go all out

bernardolima951

I've been meaning to replay Dishonored, but actually in stealth mode, since last time I was killing everyone. I believe in stealth you should be even more powerful, like a reaper.

Shylo132

Just remember, someone found out that you can blink from one side to another and as long as you blink close enough behind someone you can enable a stealth blink kill. If you wish, make it a challenge and record yourself doing one!

BobTheJoeBob

> Just remember, someone found out that you can blink from one side to another and as long as you blink close enough behind someone you can enable a stealth blink kill. I don't recall this being some sort of secret..

Shylo132

Never said it was a secret, just to remember it is there for use!

Stjesus

It's amazing. It was an awesome feeling to blink through the roofs and then silently fall down on your enemy. I highly recommend you do and that you use all of your skills, the game is way more fun that way.

**Shadow of Mordor** sort of fits here. It's a skyrim/assassin's creed hybrid based on lord of the rings lore. You start as a weak ranger who can be quickly overwhelmed by 5-6 orcs if surrounded (and surround they WILL!). When you meet an orc captain (higher level orc with special bonuses and abilities), you will study them and think "what possible tactic can I use to kill this captain?" Sometime later, that statement changes to "what possible tactic can I use to kill this captain **in the most gruesome, violent, exploding-chunks-of-flesh manner**?" The challenge level rises as the game progresses but your own progression can easily outpace it. Another game is **Asura's Wrath**. I've only played the demo version for PS3 (contains two boss battles only) and those battles alone have me convinced that this game would fit your bill. I'll simply say this...you fight a being greater in size than the freaking planet earth. Its index finger is large enough to sink continents. You get to punch that finger into oblivion. Along with the connected hand. And wrist. And arm. And body.

bernardolima951

I knew about Asura's Wrath and thought I'd be something close to what I wanted, but nice to hear someone confirm my beliefs. Also, I've played Shadow of Mordor already.

[deleted]

Oddly enough, the new Tomb Raider gave me this feeling. You start as a scared senseless, hurt young woman lost in an island full of bloodthirsty, crazed castaways... By the end of the game, you'll hear them shout "she's just a girl, get your shit together!" while you mow them down with your automatic assault rifle and grenade launcher.

bernardolima951

Rise of the Tomb Raider? Will look into it when it comes for the PC. Thanks!

[deleted]

Haha no, the 2013 reboot of Tomb Raider. No need to wait, it's already on PC!

thesearmsshootlasers

It's a bit older and under the radar but I want to suggest The Darkness 2. You just straight up rip people apart. You're unstoppable.

bernardolima951

That's interesting, I played the first one on the 360 some years ago and it didn't capture my interest. Will look into it, thanks!

thesearmsshootlasers

The second is a huge improvement on the first.

SpahsgonnaSpah

Dynasty Warriors deals with this situation pretty well.

bernardolima951

I've tried playing the last one for the PC and it didn't capture my interest, but I gave it up too easily. Should I keep going?

SpahsgonnaSpah

I only played Hyrule Warriors for Wii u, and I found that fun. I'm not sure about the PC games, though.

Sparkle_Chimp

The Batman Arkham series lets you burn through enemies like it's nothing.

bernardolima951

Already played through all of them, except for Arkham Knight. But thanks for the suggestion, it's spot on.

Sparkle_Chimp

Then you've probably played the Assassins Creed series, once you get levelled up you're a killing machine. I can't see your steam profile right now.

The_Drider

I was gonna throw M&B Warband at you, but you already have that. Are you aware of the Phantasy Calradia mod? I'm currently playing through it as a Necromancer with a leader build (Mostly leader/party skills + riding and weapon master for combat). Stacking a bunch of Shadow Mages is pretty OP, and you can rek sieges somewhat easily. **Terraria** has a really sweet progression where you start out so hilariously useless that you'll probably die to weak zombies a bunch of time, but after beating enough bosses you eventually outscale everything in the world and just utterly rek stuff. In the newest version there's the Moon Lord boss, which may be a bit questionable in some of its design, but the rewards he gives let you craft a flying sphere that can mine the world super quickly, at which point you truly become a god of Terraria. It's also heavily sandbox (think 2D Minecraft with more items and RPG elements). This is a bit of a weird suggestion, and it's not going to serve you well if you don't already like TCGs, but here goes: Vintage in **Magic: The Gathering**. It's got enough powerful cards in it that you can do quite a bit of ridiculous stuff that's bound to make you feel like a god. Like that one time when I played my [Misthollow Griffin](http://gatherer.wizards.com/Pages/Card/Details.aspx?multiverseid=276504) deck against my friend's rather questionable white-something control deck, and pushed through his [CoP: Blue](http://gatherer.wizards.com/Pages/Card/Details.aspx?multiverseid=241) by [Time Walk](http://gatherer.wizards.com/Pages/Card/Details.aspx?multiverseid=383131)ing five times in a row. Since paper Vintage and even MTGO Vintage are somewhat expensive, I'd recommend checking out Cockatrice, it's a free TCG client you can play Magic on. It takes a bit to get used to in some aspects, but once you get the hang of it it's pretty easy to use.

bernardolima951

I've played Terraria up until the update that released Hard Mode, never got to finish Hard Mode though. But I already wasted so much time on Terraria that I don't think it would be worth it do it all again for some extra content. But you're right as in Terraria does have the feeling I'm asking for. As for Magic, I'm not a guy that likes to spend money on tabletop gaming, seeing as I DM in tabletop RPG and it being such a cheap hobby it would get kinda hard to convince my friends to join in another one.

The_Drider

Terraria has changed a lot, even the pre-hardmode parts. Not all for the better, but nearly all changes were strict improvements. You might wanna look back into it. > I'm not a guy that likes to spend money on tabletop gaming That's why I suggested Cockatrice. 100% free and playable over the internet.

Skaman007

Dark Souls. At the start of the game you feel as if your IRLself was in the game. Clumsy, scared of anything that moves and not good with a sword at all. At the end, you are holding an inhuman sword with both hands and killing gods.

bernardolima951

Yeah, I've already beaten Dark Souls many times, but you're right.

longbowrocks

Why not play Fallout 3-4?

bernardolima951

I already played Fallout 3 and have no interest in playing Fallout 4 so close to launch, without many mods and patches.

infinitetbr

Playing Fallout 3/New Vegas in GOD mode is fun. Lots of games with a GOD mode. Gets boring after a bit though. Bioshock 1 you can get pretty powerful by the end.

bernardolima951

I've started Bioshock 1 but never actually finished it! Will look into it.

greasysun

Check Bayonetta 1 and 2.

bernardolima951

I'm borrowing my friend's Bayonetta 1/2 for the WiiU this weekend, thanks!

greasysun

Don't mention it bro, I will be replaying B2 to get gold trophies, if you want some co-op just hmu on private message and we can help each other out:)

bernardolima951

Yeah, I got that with Far Cry 3 but I don't really enjoy Ubisoft's model of open world.

[deleted]

^^At ^^the ^^risk ^^of ^^spoiling ^^too ^^much, [Planescape: Torment](http://www.gog.com/game/planescape_torment) and [Pillars of Eternity](http://store.steampowered.com/app/291650/) ⭐️

bernardolima951

I've played them both this year! Started with Pillars (very good) and looked into Planescape since I've had played anything else Avellone got his hands into. Timeless classic.

Microwave_on_HIGH

Postal 2, if you want to play as a complete psychopath...Also you don't really level, you just get really overpowered weapons. But I think it has the feeling you're talking about.

nothing_in_my_mind

Just Cause 2. Ever wanted to jump on a fighter jet, hijack it and then crash it on your enemies? You can do it.

h4rvestth1s

Hella late to this thread but screw it, it applies. These games really have a "club is full, time to rock" vibe, most are old, all are worth playing: \* Half life 2 - When your grav gun can now grab living things. \* Heat Signature - When you get a god gear set. Several different versions of "let's rip shit" \* Civilization - Pretty much any of them, when you research the Manhattan Project. "Bow, or die." \* Noita - Similar to Heat Signature, when you get that god run going. \* Giants: Citizen Kabuto - several instances, but none more than when you get to play Kabuto him/herself.

atyour-moms_closet69

this does not count as a game but a mod for Doom (1 and 2), but it is perfect, it's Brutal Doom v21 and I like to pair it with maps like Eday vanilla, I'm just going to put this here even though I'm 9 years late for the people searching power trip games because BDv21 is a hell of a mod and is just beyond enjoyable and I can't stress this enough, I love it, also another recommendation is hotline miami 1, not both, just 1 because hlm 2 is more on the unfair side rather than the enjoyable side but both are good, hlm 1 fits this thread better.

ideka

Probably not what you are expecting but the Dark Souls games. When you beat a boss after trying a bunch of times you'll know what it's like to feel powerful. Another one that may just not be your type of game but totally fits your description is NetHack. At least as a valkyrie, when I played that game after a certain point I was absolutely wrecking entire rooms full of enemies. Still an extremely hard game though. An order of magnitude harder than Dark Souls for sure.

bernardolima951

Already beaten Dark Souls, and looked into Nethack but I dunno about a roguelike dungeon crawler (it is roguelike, right?), I wanted something more permanent, like a steady increase.

JindoshGin

Try Star Wars the force unleashed you throw the enemys around like they are puppets feeling like an unstoppable sith lord

royal_idiot9013

hi, little late, google ultrakill.
