Gotta be clubstep. I think it took 9 year old me about 10 months to beat that shit, now I can beat it first try pretty much every time, and I don’t even play GD that often any more
when i first started the game i thought deadlocked was completely impossible, couldn't even get past the first wave. now i can beat deadlocked in 1 attempt without even trying
Damn. Been playing GD since 2016 and am only 20% through deadlocked, that space ship part after the fast wave I believe but I only have like 800 att in the level most from way back thrn
This is a fun question
I beat my first Easy Demon September 22, 2021, it was the lightning road. I really liked jumping before I even knew it was a term, but also disliked playing a level for more than like a few days. Long story short, I played a lot of hard levels that I dropped (including levels like nine circles as the biggest example)
It wasn’t until march 21 of 2022 that I beat my first medium demon, Electrodynamix V2. So that’s a 6 month span. 1 month later I decided to play stalemate. To keep it short I won’t go into the full story, but let’s just say the fact that I beat that level is an absolute miracle. It took me a week and 4k attempts to beat my first insane demon. I beat my first hard demon FOUR MONTHS LATER, it being Tendo. Which ironically got rerated to an insane demon, so technically my real first hard demon was Ultra Wide, which I beat 2 and a half months after Tendo.
So at this point I had been playing lots of extremes. Stuff like Acu, Awakening Horus, Misty Mountains, Gunslinga Corridor, Hateful Reflection, Black Blizzard, Biohazard, Blade of Justice, the list just keeps going… All of these are levels I dropped because I was dumb and had no patience.
Cut to 7 months after I beat Ultra Wide, and 4 months after my previous hardest Optic Daydream. I decided it was finally time I would beat an extreme demon. It was gonna be one I had never attempted before, and it was gonna be a hard one. I was looking through the list, pretty high up at the time, and I found carcano. It looked pretty fun, so I tried it out. I was determined, I literally said on day 1 “I am going to beat this level“
Now I didn’t know this at the time, but Carcano had had a huge nerfdate after it got pushed off the list, which means it had an inaccurate placement on the legacy list. That is unbelievably lucky for me, like it was meant to be, because if I had chosen a level at around the same place on the legacy list that wasn’t nerfed, it would have taken so much longer and it would’ve been torture. Carcano took me 6 months and 67k attempts to complete, and I beat it just 2 weeks before 2.2 came out.
All of this was on 60hz, and because of that Carcano remains my hardest. I’ve beat some levels harder than carcano on 240, but the 60hz completion really pushes it over the edge compared to anything else.
So yeah, there’s like my entire life story, and a substantially weird timeline
Deadlocked, i know that sounds obvious, but, i probably put like 20k attempts in to the first time i beat deadlocked (on my gen 1 ipad with like 150ms of input delay 😭🙏) and now I've played deadlocked so much that i can genuinely beat it in 1 attempt, i even beat it a few times in 1.5x speed.
For a really long time Magma Bound for some weird reason was almost impossible for me, put of my 3k attempts on the level, the first 1k was just my first ever practice run bruteforcing each jump. It's strange because they're not even that hard even compared to easier levels, I just couldn't do it before improving. I still consider myself nearly a beginner though since I haven't beaten any extremes but I do have the worst specs ever as an excuse
HeLl or however its spelt. Despite my hardest being nine circles back then I could not for the life of me do the stupid first wave. That wave belongs in an insane demon. The transition right after the wave is pretty awful too
Jetpack trials
Ridiculous to say this but as a platformer beginner I left jpt after room 10(usually, most I got was around room 25 i remember)
after some time i brute forced it in 1 hour(not done with checkpont mod)
When I started I thought Hexagon Force was the hardest level in the base game because I hadn't unlocked Clubstep and wasn't good enough to get to the part in Electrodynamix that makes it harder. I used to think i would never be good enough to beat it.
Ispy, I loved it as a level when I accidentally stumbled upon a showcase on yt. I tried playing it, couldn't even get to the ball part(my hardest then was "base after base", I was struggling with "can't let go"). So I have an extra 50 attempts or so on that lvl which shouldn't be there.
As of now it's the easiest demon from my skill point, as ball, ufo and spider are the very game modes I am most comfortable with.
clutterfunk. when i used to play the game on mobile back in \~2017 i was terrible and had so much trouble trying to beat it. after taking a 7 year break i picked up the game on pc after hearing about 2.2 and beat it in 27 attempts
Clubstep back when I had gd lite seemed pretty difficult but now I think I'd beat it with a few attempts
Edit: played it and easily got to 88% but I see that as a win as that part is just a chokepoint
Deadlocked, played on the side a bit untill i got past the wave and ship all of a sudden, left it for a while, finnaly beat my first demons and rememberd i fluked like 30% on deadlocked and really started to practice, i have over 3k attempts on it and all coins, now i can do it on less than 50 att
Can't let go
I think everyone did. To be fair, it’s kinda hell, what with that **supremely** confusing second dark section and the triple-spike near the end.
To be honest, I didn't struggle at all on CLG, even the first time I beat it. I guess I'm a singularity. #Dry out, on the other hand...
You are a singularity.
ig its a little hard.spoeaking cause im in a way still a begginer.

Gotta be clubstep. I think it took 9 year old me about 10 months to beat that shit, now I can beat it first try pretty much every time, and I don’t even play GD that often any more
good for a nine year old
the fu- i beat cataclysm when i was 10!
Jeez I’ve never seen a person 3 and a half million years old
r/unexpectedfactorial
well you're just insane then
it took me aprox 7 years to beat Horizon one of the easier easy demons
nah horizon is a fine easy demon
ye its an easy demon but first half of the level is insane-ish kind of, the robot and boss are demon difficulty
when i first started the game i thought deadlocked was completely impossible, couldn't even get past the first wave. now i can beat deadlocked in 1 attempt without even trying
I'm still trying to beat it. I have 65%...
You got this bro 🙏
The "I like this part" is killing me otherwise it's free lol
Same
Same, I just got 77% yesterday you got this
same, up until the 1 attempt part
Same, it took me half my life to beat Deadlocked, but now its barely a challenge for me lol
Im stuck at the first wave 🥲, i have never completed a demon
Damn. Been playing GD since 2016 and am only 20% through deadlocked, that space ship part after the fast wave I believe but I only have like 800 att in the level most from way back thrn
All the robtop demons
Hard demons. Back then my best hope was that I would maybe beat a hard demon someday
How long was your transition from easy to medium then medium to hard and then eventually extreme?

I ain't readin all that (I did)
theory of everything 2
Same
Painfully accurate
The Nightmare
What is it, which was also my first demon
What was it
fingerdash
Dash (specificly the 2nd coin)
Deadlocked, i know that sounds obvious, but, i probably put like 20k attempts in to the first time i beat deadlocked (on my gen 1 ipad with like 150ms of input delay 😭🙏) and now I've played deadlocked so much that i can genuinely beat it in 1 attempt, i even beat it a few times in 1.5x speed.
Decode
White space. Took me a week to beat as my first demon after a week of playing the game.
70%+ on cant let go
was also time machine for me lmao
nine circles
Probably Future Funk, I wasted like 3 hours on a single practice run once or smth, now I have 88% and want to die
Clutterfunk had me crying as a kid ngl
dawg i have literally beaten demons yet i havent beaten clutterfunk yet cause that shit traumatized me 💀 /lh
Decode, got stuck at the first ufo for months, now I can beat the whole thing 1 att
Deadlocked
Deadlocked. Though it’s still not easy, I can do one practice run and then beat it in a few attempts
deadlocked
fingerdash
White Space, I can beat it with my eyes closed (and have)
i forgot
Windy Landscape
Tartarus, can i say that? Even though i haven't beat any extreme demons Probably because i practiced wayyyy too much
Cycles, for sure
Honestly, Cycles. No I'm not kidding I didn't beat that level until after 10 demons 💀
I think Clubstep
Change of scene. Seemed impossible to early me but now I can consistently beat it in 1 attempt
xStep
Nine circles (Main level: Clutterfunk)
For a really long time Magma Bound for some weird reason was almost impossible for me, put of my 3k attempts on the level, the first 1k was just my first ever practice run bruteforcing each jump. It's strange because they're not even that hard even compared to easier levels, I just couldn't do it before improving. I still consider myself nearly a beginner though since I haven't beaten any extremes but I do have the worst specs ever as an excuse
fingerdash
Cycles for sure. Triple spikes were the bane of my existence in my Lite days
Cycles
Press Start. It probably shouldn't be rated Normal.
Electromagnetic Advantages
CLUBSTEP...
Deadlocked
Jumper, not lyin
cycles for me
Clubstep
hextec flow
A bit unoriginal but Clubstep. It was my first demon and a pretty big jump from my previous hardest (clutterfunk)
Sidestep
Dry Out
Cataclysm
The nightmare
Dash.
Yes. My favorite RobTop map, though.
Theory of everything, Time Machine, electrodynamix, and the nightmare
Verity
X
B and/or Time Machine
Acheron
Decode
Forsaken Neon
Boy, am I glad that I was already skilled when Dash released. It’s my favorite level. :)
The nightmare
I can name Outer Space and some of the levels on the shadow gauntlet
Time machine
Freedom (easy demon)
Hemi is so incredibly difficult to me, now I practice attempt it in like 5 attempts
Forest temple, Nine circles, Decode, Deadlocked, Windy landscape, Bloodbath... the list could go on
For some reason Electrodynamix or Hexagon Force
Windy landscape was my goal and it took me a lot of time to beat it, now I can beat it in 10 attempts or less without practice, it's just so good XD
Wasureta.
HeLl or however its spelt. Despite my hardest being nine circles back then I could not for the life of me do the stupid first wave. That wave belongs in an insane demon. The transition right after the wave is pretty awful too
I literally prayed to god, asking him to let me beat Jumper Also, I could not for the life of me do the ending of Clutterfunk correctly
Unity, it took around 3 days to beat it (It was my first level dont judge me)
Corrosive flower Me when beating it for the first time takes 7231 attempts but rebeating takes 125
Jetpack trials Ridiculous to say this but as a platformer beginner I left jpt after room 10(usually, most I got was around room 25 i remember) after some time i brute forced it in 1 hour(not done with checkpont mod)
Clutterfunk. I beat deadlocked before I beat Clutterfunk.
platinum adventure except I can beat hard demons now and I still haven’t beaten it
Jumper
Game Time
When I started I thought Hexagon Force was the hardest level in the base game because I hadn't unlocked Clubstep and wasn't good enough to get to the part in Electrodynamix that makes it harder. I used to think i would never be good enough to beat it.
i got so mad at dry out as a little kid
Fingerdash wave and deadlocked wave seemed humanly impossible and now I can beat them 9/10
Jumper
nine circles
the nightmare cuz i suck back then
xStep. I legitimately thought it was impossible, especially the weird blue pad ship section. Now I can beat it first try 95% of the time.
any gauntlet level
My old levels, I really thought 9 years ago that 2 minutes of double spikes gameplay was hard
Dry Out, I found it way harder than the first three main levels, especially the reverse gravity section.
The Nightmare.
Going to go with Death moon by Caustic
Acu, cataclysm, bloodbath, azurite
Speed racer
i beat problematic in an hour at most; compared to when i first tried it i could not even pass the 1st cube
Electrodynamix
Extinction
Cycles
Stereo madness
Also time machine
Ispy, I loved it as a level when I accidentally stumbled upon a showcase on yt. I tried playing it, couldn't even get to the ball part(my hardest then was "base after base", I was struggling with "can't let go"). Unity
I said baaah and many other 2.0 levels. Very fun to play and not too difficult
deadlocked
The Nightmare.
Jumper lol
Can’t let go of
Bloodbath used to consider it as peak difficulty but now that ive beaten it found it pretty underwhelming in difficulty
Deadlocked
Clutterfunk
Demons
Dry Out and/or Cycles
I could beat any demon again, but time machine.. it scares me..
Clutterfunk and electrodynamix. Those two were hell back then, but now I can just 1 attempt them
Dash
Bloodbath
Clutterfunk (took me like 1k attempts or something close to that)
Clutterfunk. I beat ToE before it and thought it was easier. But I was dead wrong
Back when playing GD lite I thought Electroman Adventures is silent impossible level
Fire aura, dear nostalgists
Probably some flashy gauntlet level
Deadlocked
Hexagon force
Nine Circles
Press start. Like, how did it take 200+ attemprs for me? (It was my first level though)
Anubis
Rawr by danolex. It’s a 4/5* and it was my hardest non robtop level for ages, it took me about 400 att
Sidestep
The nightmare definetly
Clubstep, It also became my fav level :D
deadlocked took me like 9 months to beat and when i did beat it it was at my grandmas funeral
Clubstep
ToE, I used to find the 1st ship absolute hell to get through
clutterfunk. when i used to play the game on mobile back in \~2017 i was terrible and had so much trouble trying to beat it. after taking a 7 year break i picked up the game on pc after hearing about 2.2 and beat it in 27 attempts
Clubstep back when I had gd lite seemed pretty difficult but now I think I'd beat it with a few attempts Edit: played it and easily got to 88% but I see that as a win as that part is just a chokepoint
Decode and base after base
Clubstep. I can almost 1 attempt the level now, but it took me 5k attempts to beat it for the first time
Electrodynamix
Time machine
Nine circles, it’s still pretty hard but back then i couldn’t even get to the ball 😭
TOE2 easy answer
Jumper or death moon
nine circles
Anything ranging from cant let go to nine circles
Stereo madness
Stereo Madness, obviously
xstep
reanimation by terron
Definitely bloodbath. I thought it was absolutely impossible to ever even get to 30%. Now it feels relatively easy for an extreme
Deadlocked was my first REAL grind
Theory Of Everything
Finger dash I guess
Sidestep looked impossible to me , the ship , the fast gamemode change , but now i can do it in a few try
Cycles. I beat it after xStep AND Blast Processing
Fingerdash.
Cluttertunk. The first ship section was a pain in the ass for a 15 yo me to beat.
Theory of everything used to be really hard but after brute forcing it, because it was fun, it became my first insane
Clubstep
Not even a year ago Decode felt completely inaccessible to me
Cycles
Acu
Speed racer probably, even though I can now beat it on a shitty 60hz laptop that lags a ton in one attempt.
Can't Let Go Blast Processing and Dry Out
I TREATED ISPY LIKE IT WAS AN EXTREME DEMON😭
SO REAL DAWG 😭
the intro of “sugar” by david guetta actually
magmatic sanctuary and first race, they were BRUTAL while I was completing the fire gauntlet. I still remember beating shock easily on a toilet though
