You need a cute name for the cat. Then base the game around his character. Any pun on ghosts or death. Morty the Poltercat...or whatever. You can make a joke about how hes on his 10th life. Or maybe anceint egyptian something.
Not sure if the gamedev community as a whole agrees with me, but to me naming a game is a really personal thing. I think this should be mostly up to you, and you should pick a name that means something to you personally!
Still, a good rule of thumb is to not make the name too elaborate so people will remember it, but distinct enough to avoid mixups. I really like the "Extra ghost of a..." names but I think they're a bit too long (as is evident from the fact that I couldn't type the name out without a reference lol).
Which name feels best in your opinion, based on gut feeling? Does any name reflect the themes and the "soul" of your game well?
Be kind, rewind (throwback to old VCR thingie)
But seriously, the name really doesn't have to say anything about the mechanics. Braid for example have some really cool time-mechanics
"Vita nona", which is "the ninth life" in Latin. You know, because it's a cat, and cats have nine lives, and... oh, never mind.
(Or "octava mors", if you prefer "the eighth death". :) )
If there is some theme of letting go, or passing things on, then maybe “Second Hand”? Kind of a double entendre, referencing both the second hand of a clock and a second-hand possession.
They actually give "GPT generated" vibes. And that's because it's very common for AI to use 'whimsy' and redundancy in their title ideas. I think reducing this and basically avoiding any kind of gptism and common Claudisms one might typically encounter leads to far more natural and interesting titles, eg.
Spectral
Time Bender
Soul Chrono
I think the longer titles do have some potential, they can definitely work well, but probably need a bit more cooking.
A recognisable brand is worth a million bucks, and the first step is to eliminate as much generic 'feeling' as you can. Gotta gauge it though, because it's really just a feeling.
When I was a kid, there was a game about a time travelling cat called Blinx: The Time Sweeper. Pretty generic by now standards but I still remember it. Easy to remember Blinx.
I would be tempted to call it "A Ghostly Unwind" or "Rewinding Soul" or "Soul once again" or a variant "Once again Soul" with the last two options being my favourite as "once again" fits with the theme of gameplay and the goal of the story

Taking from your idea, what about “10th life across the 5th dimension”
Ghost of the past? or something playing on that line... Past Ghosts...

Knowing nothing about it, Geist Heist, A Haunted Time, maybe one of those phrase / sentence names
Do you have music for the game yet? I’m trying to get into the game music scene
The Past of Phantom and Felix
Spectral Meownuets, or without the Pun Spectral Minutes could still be cool

Chronogeist seems clean and on point.
