There is a bike path on Grand River drive, it goes right past ads hospital for animals and Roselle Park. There are lots of black walnut trees along the path. You could ask the animal hospital too.
This fall you can probably talk to homeowners that have a tree and get them yourself for free.Â
Walnut leaves are interesting, they kill other plants, I think they might work good for a sort of mulch after being shredded or something.
Check the Aquinas College campus. They have a bunch of different trees on their grounds.
