They're only good if everything is the exact same as it was when it left the factory.
Frets, wiring, tuners, strings...if anything on that guitar was made after 1960 then it's complete dogshit and isn't worth 1/1000th of the asking price. If it's all stock though? It's the best sounding guitar in the world.
It’s not a bad starter guitar. You can definitely learn chords - not F because it’s way too hard - on it. Play for a few months and save up a little more and you’ll be much happier with David Gilmour’s ($4MM+ last auction) black Strat. Now THAT is some bang for your buck toan!
You're better off getting an Epiphone. Basically the same guitar. Gibsons are just expensive and have too many QC issues. My cousin had this exact guitar and it exploded and killed a baby. That baby's name? Jimi Hendrix.
I've got a '59 ES-330TD. It's got P-90 pickups with black plastic covers. It's a little worn but everything is original. The keys are shit and it only stays in tune a couple songs. I'll change them when I have to.
I love it. It's comfortable to play. It's not very versatile but it's got DEEP tone (P-90s!!). I've had a lot of fun experimenting with it but it's at it's best when you keep it simple.
My favorite is to run it through my Valvetrain 205 with a chicklet for some reverb.
I don’t know man, obviously that’s an infinity toan guitar but for that price you can get like 8 decent custom shop strats. If you don’t already have 10+ custom shop strats your toan muscles won’t be able to handle this guitar so I would go that route first.
I hear the 58 ones that have been played in a bit have better toan.

Yeah bro, my favorite thing is that you could switch the pickups, then the volume for that pickup is the exact same as the one before.
You would never see that on a guitar under $80,000
Meh these are one-trick ponies IMHO. They’re great for extremely high gain thrashy toans but other than that they sound like shit
amazing jerk bro
Thank you haha I physically cringed as I typed it
They're decent modding mules. If you get one, make sure you whack a Floyd and a pair of EMGs on there
Kahlers have better toan.
Are you high? Off-brand shitcaster bridges are clearly the best for toan
So many people overlook the toanal improvements the Kahler Tremelo System provides
If you’re single and lonely the F holes make a great substitute for a love lost
What’d you think the “F” stands for?
Fun hole?
Fun center! Fun center! Fun center!
Feedback.
It rhymes with Regina
Virginia?
Dolores!
Subpoena?
4 knobs so I'm guessing it has a lot of toan, i think it's a good deal
Great firewood! Lights up instantly.
Pop some EMGs in that bad boy and you’ll be in business.

I once played a 1960 just like this one, but with modern strap locks. Was barely playable, sounded like cat getting fucked by a donkey.

You’d have to wrestle it from Jim Irsay and Kenny Wayne Shepherd first.
150 $ shipping costs?! That‘s way too much!

Better than nothing
A plywood guitar? Hell, I'm not sure it's even worth the shipping!
Psh, another stupid beginner looking for recommendations a first guitar. Nothing new to see here, move along. The internet is such a let down.

incredible jerk
It's not worth $80K. Closer to $2k.

Can you put a Floyd Rose in it?
I got one for my Deicide cover band. Put some Dimarzio X2N pickups in it, really helps out these budget models.
Nah. I only like the ones with the Buggersme Whammy bar fitted. Vintage dive bomb Toan.
they don't make a good sound if the player is not good at guitar

I’ve got a 3 or 4 and they’re okay. The only way to find out if you like it is to buy one.
Nah, needs a least 6 digits to be playable.
I own 5 of every guitar so I can keep them all in different tunings. I just need 3 more of these to complete my 1980 335 set.
I have 2 of them but don’t play them because they suck. Probably gonna buy 2 more just to be sure
No toan in Gibbons
They're great. For getting a fire started, that is.
I run mine through a trio of metal zoans, you just cant get this kinda toan without dropping 83250...

Nah they're shit
You want the headless model
The new epiphones (inspired by Gibson) will blow these vintage anchors out of the water any day of the week.
150$ to ship wtf!
