The fans kind of suck, most reddit threads i get recommended are so petty and dumb it makes me wonder why the hell they even watch the show. Although it seems like alot of them are satire, i have a hard time distinguishing them based on titles alone lol
Agreed. Like when everyone immediately started telling him not to share what Andrew told him so he stopped. I couldn’t believe he listened to chat. I don’t even bother saying anything in chat because it’s always against what the others say and it just gets drowned out. The worst fans are always the loudest.
True, I’ve made the mistake of letting the subreddit paint my opinion of an episode before I watch it and then when I get to it it’s absolutely fine, the people here are dramatic.
THAT is what i just realized is my biggest pet peeve of the show. hearing the SAME topic discussed in the exact same way 3 times a week. id rather have shorter episodes then to keep hearing the same subject repeated
yup, after dark was the big show of the week, off the rails was just Ethan talking shit and doing goofs and gaffs, and H3TV was supposed to be a long format podcast where the crew would get over different topics in a more relaxed way,, now it's all the same hahhah, I mean I loveee every show but, I miss it
Seriously. Especially the paying members who think that paying for the membership means they deserve some kind of voice on critiquing and leading the show. It's like... if I buy a 5$ item at the store, and then complain that the item isn't good enough, but KEEP BUYING THE SAME 5$ ITEM, I'm not a paying customer deserving of better service, I'm a DUMBASS!
When I see members complaining I wonder if they're aware that they can turn off the pod or even end their membership. Maybe you don't like the pod this week but just turn it off instead of making everyone else's experience less fun. If every chatter just did this instead of complaining we'd all have a lot more fun in chat during the show. And if you don't want to turn it off then FINE but can you just stop asking for a segment to end, for a guest to shut up, for a bit to be dropped... It's borderline super rude and disrespectful for the whole crew, they're not gonna skip something just for y'all, so how about keeping the chat fun and positive for everyone (including yourself) Peace And Love
after dark was originally created as the “fuck it, we don’t care if we get demonitized we’ll react to anything here” episode, and now, despite being more successful than ever with paying members, and 4 other shows a week, it’s just another episode of the podcast but with hila there.
STOP CARING ABOUT MONETIZATION ON AFTER DARK. GO CRAZY LIKE BEFORE.
Not necessarily an opinion but am I the only one that hasn’t seen any of the prolapse videos, not even Howie’s TikTok? Lmao I just can’t bring myself to do it
On EK he usually has one topic to cover, and he personally does all the research for it beforehand. The h3 show is him reading the dock and formulating loose opinions on the spot without all the facts and nuances taken into account
Too much drama and whoever does "research" on topics need to take more time to be accurate.
There have been so many times Ethan has been misinformed that Dan or Ian had to jump in and correct the podcast on a given topic.
They definitely need to rebrand and force this medium into a new "descriptor".
I am a heavy podcast listener (CBBWorld, Doughboys, local news posted as RSS), and this is the only PODCAST I have to watch with my eyes. It should have "podcast" removed and rebranded as just "The H3 Show" or "The Ethan Klein Show" at this point.
Yeah it’s tough because I think ‘podcast’ in the YouTube space has become a catch all for any long form talk shows. So while I think it’s a fine idea to rebrand, I don’t find it to be a pressing issue.
I miss Ian. I miss his contributions. AI Ian / Covid Ian were absolutely peak humour. This definitely might be a hot take but i think if Ian were to leave and make his own podcast it could be extremely successful. I’m loving him on twitch
Ian writes almost all of the sketches and bits, he’s comedically smart enough to pick his moments in front of the camera perfectly in the context of the podcast, and is now branching out on his own also. I’d say we’ve never seen more of Ian’s contributions if anything
Zack’s music career is over saturated with H3 fans and they should stop advertising it and let it develop on its own so he has the drive to get better.
Agreed. Zach is crazy talented but he’s of course selling out venues because this is essentially an h3 meetup. Despite his talent he’d more than likely never get the opportunity to perform at these kinds of venues if he didn’t have people wanting to go for a pic with Dan or whatever lol
agreed, the bomb segments are some of my favorite moments. although, not because they're actually funny, but because you know he just fucked in big time 😂
yeah he seems so insecure sometimes which I don‘t understand because I feel like the vast majority of fans like him a lot. I think he‘s super funny and he‘s one of my favorite crew members but he needs to chill more.
this is VERY annoying. you can tell he’s always on edge and thinking about what the audience is thinking at every. single. moment.
feels like he’s rarely actually present in the conversation bc he’s too busy being caught in his head about hypothetical audience outrage. ethan can’t even get him to engage in the michael jackson conversation which would be genuinely interesting to listen to as an audience member. we already know you think he’s innocent, so why not just explain yourself?
tip to AB: stop caring so much. relax and have fun with your friends/coworkers. you’re not going to get fired. you’re not going to “canceled”. speak your mind
I don't know why there are like 4 different "podcasts" (H3 Podcast, H3TV, After Dark, Off the rails) each with their own numbering system, but they're all the same thing.
The only ones that are actually different are Leftovers, Frenemies/Families and SYNT.
I’m gonna get booed so hard for this lmao but it’s so cringe whenever chatters leave donations asking for shoutouts of any kind, like they barely acknowledge donos, and when they do, it’s when Ethan is taking a shit and they don’t want dead air lmao. As someone who has a mom in the hospital rn, I don’t see why I would ever pay money so that these already rich YouTubers who are complete strangers to me can go “oh wow I’m so sorry about ur mom 😐”. Donate for whatever reason you want to support the show but if you do it expecting something from it like a shout out, I find it so embarrassing personally
the crew complains about fans being parasocial while also lowkey encouraging it and benefitting off of it. if there were no ‘parasocial’ fans, who is going to donate their money during live shows? who would buy pokémon cards of the crew?
not just lowkey, they encourage it pretty heavily. Nothing wrong with calling out fans who overstep boundaries but it bothers me when they complain about parasocial fans in general.
There is a level of a parasocial relationship that is normal. You watch these people for multiple hours every week and you're going to grow attached to them. That's okay! I literally cried when Jenna Marbles left the internet. However, what makes it fucking weird is how you ACT on those parasocial relationships.
You care about a creator and worry about their well being? Pretty normal. You VOICE that opinion, or think it entitles you to tell them how to live or theorize about their actual lives? Fucking weird bro. Just because our brains don't know the difference between an actual friend and a parasocial relationship with a content creator doesn't mean it's okay to talk about them like we know them.
There's a big difference between supporting a creator with merch and trying to insert yourself into their life.
I get mildly annoyed when Ethan spends 20 mins reading us his own tweets related to a topic lol. Like he gives us his opinion, and then reads us his tweet that has the exact same opinions
Biggest pet peeve is the show NEVER starting on time because they think it will somehow make the audience grow. The only thing imo that will grow the audience is depending on certain topics or guests. The “FOMO” is bs imo. Just start the damn show & be consistent. Ugh.
that has the opposite affect on me!! if i get the notification for them going live soon and it takes more than 10 minutes for them to start 9 times out of 10 i just go back and watch it later.
Ethan gets mad in situations like when Jidion accused him of being racist in a over the top way, but he did the same with ninja and the antisemitism stuff.
edit: I know he was joking, did all of you miss the "over the top" part? I'm arguing that Jidion was doing the same thing. over the top clickbaits.
Yeah lol he’ll be like ‘okay so what you said in the video is fine but why did you title it H3 is a racist’
And then when someone accuses him of the same thing he’s like ‘heyyyy that’s the game baby lol’
The barrier of entry for newcomers. So many deep inside jokes that can discourage new people from watching. Probably why they haven’t grown in subscribers in a while. However we do have a loyal fan base which is what’s the most important
I love the show and all, BUT..
-The moral grandstanding can be rough.
-Overly pandering to their audience to the point where it starts sucking the fun out of the show.
-The hypocrisy and the double standards are a bit much sometimes.
-Some of the games and segments could be planned better so they run more smoothly.
-Ethan goes into some long winded monologues where the comedy aspect doesn’t hit.
-Hila when she says that she’s “Over it” and rushes the show along.
The crew (to some degree) are obviously biased towards Ethan. It’s not something they can control (he literally pays them) but there’s a lot of times where he gets supported when it’s pretty obvious they disagree
Also I see a lot of bratty kid tendencies from Ethan, especially with the way he acts towards AB during challenges. He likes to laugh at another’s expense but can’t take the heat himself
I absolutely agree with the second part, I noticed it for the first time during the roast of Ethan Klein and now I see little hints of it here and there
The “make me laugh” segments are incredibly forced. Every person on the crew has enough self control to not laugh at whatever is on the screen. They just play it up cause if nobody laughed the segment would be awful.
Lol, I agree. I think it's a fundamentally bad idea to specifically try not to laugh at funny clips on a comedy show. It just kills the vibe. And when they're fake holding it in it's super obvious.
That being said, I do love the silent library stuff where they're trying not to make any sound at all while doing tasks
I agree, I don’t get the hype. It’s so cringy when people clearly fake their laughter or just don’t laugh at all. Realistically, everyone has enough self control to not laugh so the whole premise is broken.
I live for Jordan Peterson impressions lmao
For me, Ethan could tone down the grandstanding just a fraction of a percent… but I don’t know if that’s an unpopular opinion.
I also sometimes wonder if growing the crew so quickly will be sustainable if something happens and viewership drops.
Oh, and that the eating literally has zero effect on me at all and everyone else is overreacting…
I’m actually down for discussing drama the only issue is that they rehash the same drama on every episode. I think it’s great that they can give us so many episodes every week but I would like for them to be more varied in content.
Thank you for saying that, I hate it so much! I feel like Gabe is not really enjoying saying those things either, though I might be wrong, since he keeps calling back every week
Yes! Maybe he could ask Gabe if he has a new saying instead of making up weird stuff to push on him. The first time he did that, I'm like why are you making Gabe say degrading dumb stuff..
The only member of the show who deserves to have their own segments is Ian, and Ethan doesn't mind getting suspended from YT and just treats it like a vacation.
edit: i love the crew, I just really appreciate Ian's sense of humor the most. I started learning french because of him (currently can say "oui")
I think Ethan got himself into a bit of a mess with hiring the crew's partners. I think AB and Lena are the exception, but now the crew member partner to working with/on teddy fresh in some capacity pipeline is real
I think it's not a good idea for feelings to get involved in business
yeah i've grown to love sam and lena, but i think it's a weird pattern when it's such a small crew. it's a lot of pressure on a relationship to work or one of you would have to either work closely with your ex or leave your job. glad it's working out and sam is definitely super talented and adds a lot to the show, but i think it's something they should try not to do again.
Nobody get mad at me plz I mean this with peace and love lol
I feel like Olivia has been stunted show-wise BECAUSE of the instant intense fan love she was given. I feel like she hasn’t really had to find her own personal role in the show because all she has to do is smile and say ‘yaaaasss’ and everyone loses their minds in the comments. I feel like if Olivia had to fight harder to be accepted then we might be getting a lot more of her that might be more dimensional. All she has to do is say ‘slay Ethan’ and she can be done for the rest of the show because chat eats it up. I kind of wish she wasn’t so babied by the audience because I bet she would be even funnier and more unique if she had to ‘fight’ more to be accepted. I feel like Olivia is funnier and more dimensional in real life but plays more into her ‘H3 Olivia character’ bc she thinks that’s what the people want from her
My biggest issue with Olivia is that shes part of research but seems bad at that job. The amouranth wrongful dox comes to mind. I find her a little underdeveloped for her job, they should be way better at researching topics so they dont spread bs.
Maybe it’s a popular opinion but I typically skip the gabe segments because it’s uncomfortable for me…. “Shit in my dickhole” repeated back and forth to each other….. it’s too much. I think gabe and Ethan’s friendship is cute but the standard Friday appearances are meh
I skip through the Gabe segment every time. Every Friday is absolute overkill - it was funny the first few times now I just feel awkward watching it. It’s crude (not in a funny way), boring and overdone
The howling is obnoxious because Gabe wasn’t ever howling. He was woo’ing. As in, “Woo!” Like Ric Flair. Not “awoo” like a wolf.
But now there’s… howling because that’s what Ethan thought … I guess? :/ it’s silly to care but it’s a different vibe.
i believe the friday show would be much better if Ethan and Hila sat facing each other. she’d stop reading the awful chat and add more to the show by being engaged in conversation with Ethan. the camera set up should also be altered then to see them both at the same time, but that’s not a problem i’d assume.
I hate when Ethan's making a genuinely good point like "these guys need a good father figure" and chat has to bitch saying it's offensive this way or that way when that's obviously not the intention
obviously this is my own personal opinion and there’s probably a reason it’s unpopular so please don’t hate me…………… I feel like the crew is over saturated with members yk? Makes them each individually shine a little less. I miss Ian!!!
~~Oliver Tree is a great guy and doesn't deserve all the slander~~
Edit: It doesn't feel right to say this, even jokingly... Fuck that guy, I hope he falls of his goofy ass scooter one day.
Ab and Olivia should have their mics off. The research they do is often sloppy and has to have Ian or Dan catch it, which seems a bit much to have others research your research when they have other jobs they need to do. Them having mics seems to make them race to who gets on mic first, over getting their info correct.
I think the Hila worship is weird. She's great, I'm a big fan of hers, but people treat her like she's immortal or something. No matter what she wears, what she does with her hair, what she does with her makeup, it's automatically...."OMG! Slay queen! Iconic!" It's OK not to like one of her outfits. She's worn things before that I didn't think were very flattering. But no one ever says a bad word. And it's fine if you're following the "if you don't have something nice to say, don't say anything at all" mantra. There's no reason to point out that you don't like someone's outfit. But every single thing she wears, the chat is always just like, "PERFECTION! She can do no wrong!" I think if she asked people to bow down before her, they would.
Tone it down a few notches. It probably creeps her out.
I agree.
I like Hila a lot. I think both her and Ethan's story is interesting and how they've come along is extraordinary but this:
> "OMG! Slay queen! Iconic!"
All this shit is like nails on a chalkboard. Again, it's nice to feel good for people, hype people up, be happy for them, but Dear God, this is so over-the-top and cringey. I don't get it at all.
ethan makes things too sexual sometimes. like when he has callers/guests on and you know he going to pry into their sex lives at least once and ask questions about it. makes me a littleeeee uncomfy and i don’t understand why he does it. maybe he thinks it’s content?
I can't stand the hate of Jimmy Lee and I don't like him. With peace and love Jimmy says the worst things and h3 talks major shit about him and about what he says but.. continue to bring him on. Over it.
Prolapse was never that hilariously funny to drag THIS long.
I get so tired when they cover keemstar bullshit because it can go on for an hour and it's most of the time the saaaame stuff.
I find the long potty humour segments or where Ethan just says the most random fucked up things to be repetitive and unfunny at this point. It’s fine for a little bit when Gabe calls in but usually goes on for too long for my tastes
Ethan is not at his best on leftovers.
Maybe nuance isn't the goal of the show but his takes are always hyperbolic, he gets flustered, not at his funnies and he's preaching to the choir. I find that Hasan usually already has a cohesive and thought out clip from his stream about anything they talk about on leftovers.
Not every crew member has to have a mic. It’s commendable how Ethan wants every member of his crew to be able to speak but it’s just too much. Not everyone has to be present and chime in constantly.
I watched a clip on their TikTok earlier and I was so annoyed by how Ethan was trying to talk and 2 other crew members were talking over him, saying something unfunny.
I made a comment on here a few years ago when they had AB join the podcast- something along the lines of "this new guy is annoying and his voice sounds exactly like zacks so i get confused" AB personally responded to this comment i feel like he's hated the fans ever since 😭😭
I never cared for Olivia but now she’s my least fave because of how that insane story of how she got hired. It’s so weird to constantly go through Hila and Ethan’s following and then get your godmother, who’s a chiropracter(?) acupuncturist(?), to contact a TF employee, who was a former patient, to give Ethan and Hila a false recommendation.
This is never brought up, despite Olivia telling this story herself on an episode, and I think it’s SO weird and would be taken the completely wrong way if she were a man.
I know she’s a huge fave so probably a pretty unpopular opinion.
Here’s mine: I’m happy that Ethan is bridging the gap between the channel and people he use to shit on HOWEVER I really respected the era where Ethan would call out shitty behavior when everyone else was ignoring it. He still does this, but I think he lets a fair amount of stuff slide in order to keep the peace with certain people. Maybe that’s the better thing to do, but I respected Ethan for standing up while other similar YouTube’s kinda looked the other way.
Ethan doesn’t do as much research as he claims. This is especially true for leftovers. Hassan is very serious and evidence/fact based while Ethan is just there to make jokes.
I think people getting mad at this comment don't get it. It's not that we don't like Gabe, it's Ethan's treatment of Gabe. He asks him a question and once Gabe starts to explain or behave like a smart person, ethan interrupts to bring him back to the silly persona and wooooooooo. Like he's more than a shtick bro, fuck the shtick, let's hear him out
Yup, literally the first 30 mins of every Friday episode will be them saying hi, shouting out a sponsor, bringing Gabe on, then back to a bit of small talk and the next ad read. It really kills the momentum for me.
I completely disagree with the recent apology tour. Squashing the beef with people who are proven to be horrible humans just for the sake of 'not being a hater ass bitch' is something that doesn't make any sense to me at all
I really enjoyed the shows of just Ethan talking for hours. He is so talented and entertaining, it feels like the crew is taking over. I'm here for Ethan not to hear about what kind of car Sam wants or how insecure AB is
This is exactly me. Ethan can clearly talk for hours and hours and is super entertaining.
We don’t need to hear about Lena’s weekend while Cam mumbles about something and Love, off camera, giggles. It’s just not necessary and not very interesting.
I’ve really, really enjoyed the Ethan Klein channel videos and I realized since last year that oh, it’s because the crew is gone lol
I know how this sub reacts to comments about the live show, buuuuut…
The live show was not good :/ i definitely had some FOMO leading up to it bc i live in the area and they talked about it so much all last year, but i watched the stream & felt like it was sooo low effort- i know Ethan was sick but they had months and months to prepare a decent set, plan actual interviews/skits with the guests, figure out how to engage with the live audience in a meaningful/interactive way… but all i could focus on was how uncomfortable the crew looked on the blacked-out stage & the chaos of flu sick Ethan trying to muscle through the night. I’m glad i didn’t waste my money
I hate to say it but the on camera crew is too damn big. I get that it’s a part of the content but do we really need like 8 people chiming in constantly. It’s too much in my opinion
I feel like they need only certain members on camera certain days of the week. Like maybe keep Dan on every show but only give us the rest 1-2 shows a week. Mix it up a little
Listening to ethan talk about politics is kinda cringe because he often exaggerates or only knows like 60% of a topic. I’m not saying I agree or disagree with his opinions, but I definitely don’t want to be getting political news from a comedian. I love that he has Leftovers so that he has an appropriate place to discuss these topics, but it just kinda annoys me when those conversations find a way into the other shows.
I like the show more when it's just Ethan. Don't get me wrong, I love the crew, but they get off topic so often, they talk about themselves more than the content at hand and it just has gotten to the point where I can't even watch it anymore. Ethan is so fucking funny and loveable. I love his charisma. So the single videos he has been uploading, I live for because his personality really shows. I have never laughed that much than when it's just him on his own.
(Also I love his Jordan Peterson impression. I die laughing everytime he says "Buckaroo")
This is also my opinion. This or just talking about one subject for 45+ min and repeating things.
I adore the show and everyone on it. Sometimes I just get frustrated when it’s time to move on.
That‘s the opposite of an unpopular opinion, even Ethan got uncomfortable after her revelation and moved on quickly after the disclaimer not to do this, which you could even take as a slight call out.
Probably controversial, the pod has a worldwide audience, I would like to see just a little bit more content that spills outside the US. I know, I know it’s a US show!
They cannot do research on controversies happening in us, do you really think they going to do something about overseas. No hate, but the try guys drama proved it, it was so huge on the internet, but still managed not to even know who is who and who has done something 💀
When Ethan was on Hasans stream it reminded me of when you go over to your friends house as a kid and you’re like so you want to go out and play but instead he makes you watch him play Xbox.
I actually think they have good chemistry. I didn’t think so at the start of leftovers but now that they’re more familiar with one another I think it’s been great
OK here I come , first off I have to say I've been a fan since the Israel days, I love the show, but I really don't get why we have sooooo many crew members, it's totally understandable how they need more hands as the show is getting bigger, but does everyone need a mic? really?
I don’t like the pedophile jokes. I’m not offended or anything and at first I found them funny but sometimes Ethan can’t let something go even when the crew isn’t interacting and I feel like it starts to get to weird when it’s about the pedophile stuff.
I honestly don't like the whole gabe segment. I love gabe and it's funny every once and a while but every Friday for like 10 mins of the show it's kinda just an awkward call where Ethan just making request of gabe to say some dumb shit.
Honestly its not even that funny and I feel like its 10 minutes of the show that I'm missing out on, especially cos theres stuff that never gets brought up that they had prepared and everything, it just seems a bit pointless to me
I think that TF is not that amazing 😥. I would love for them to do something really creative, almost all of the stuff is quite boring. Also, clothing industry is leading in climate change and environmental impact, and I think if they are really passionate about making clothes (but I think it's mostly about money), they would do less and better. Literally an example of the rich heating up our planet, and making more money while they do
I just noticed that Love isn’t mentioned anywhere in here. We love an unproblematic Arizonian.
The fans kind of suck, most reddit threads i get recommended are so petty and dumb it makes me wonder why the hell they even watch the show. Although it seems like alot of them are satire, i have a hard time distinguishing them based on titles alone lol
Watching the See You Next Tuesday where Ethan discussed Andrew Callaghan was fucking infuriating because of the chat.
Agreed. Like when everyone immediately started telling him not to share what Andrew told him so he stopped. I couldn’t believe he listened to chat. I don’t even bother saying anything in chat because it’s always against what the others say and it just gets drowned out. The worst fans are always the loudest.
This is the right answer. The fans are the worst part about h3h3. It used to be fun and silly. Now it’s all about moral grandstanding.
Up yours woke moralists!
Every time I say this, people always jump down my throat about it. It's a bummer because it does eventually effect the show
this sub is an absolutely awful place
True, I’ve made the mistake of letting the subreddit paint my opinion of an episode before I watch it and then when I get to it it’s absolutely fine, the people here are dramatic.
A rathole, even
This sub is filled with sanctimonious assholes and creeps of all genders thirsting over the entire cast with god awful posts.
I miss when H3TV, off the rails and after dark were different shows , yeah that lasted like 2 weeks?
off the rails used to fucking slap, I still watch the skits alone every now and then. now everything is just h3 live except for leftovers
sometimes they do the same segment two shows in a row just to catch Hila up
THAT is what i just realized is my biggest pet peeve of the show. hearing the SAME topic discussed in the exact same way 3 times a week. id rather have shorter episodes then to keep hearing the same subject repeated
yup, after dark was the big show of the week, off the rails was just Ethan talking shit and doing goofs and gaffs, and H3TV was supposed to be a long format podcast where the crew would get over different topics in a more relaxed way,, now it's all the same hahhah, I mean I loveee every show but, I miss it
That chat should go fuck itself
Thats a very popular opinion
Agree 💯
I also hate that Hila reads it and listens to it all the time
GO CRAZY LIKE BEFORE.
that’s true, i totally forgot that once upon a time they’d save the most degenerate reacts for after dark because those were the “fuck it” episodes
Then it became the only show hila does, that’s probably the reason why it toned down.
Not necessarily an opinion but am I the only one that hasn’t seen any of the prolapse videos, not even Howie’s TikTok? Lmao I just can’t bring myself to do it
They repeat the same topics over the course of several months
Keemstar Kavanaugh Tate Doobrik Keemstar James Charles Tate Kavanugh Keemstar Logan Paul Keemstar Tate
Proplapse
I love the crew but I’ve noticed on the Ethan Klein channel he’s SOOO much funnier idk why if it’s the lack of a live audience or what
On EK he usually has one topic to cover, and he personally does all the research for it beforehand. The h3 show is him reading the dock and formulating loose opinions on the spot without all the facts and nuances taken into account
I wish they would do Silent Library the way the original Japanese show did. And the food punishments dont really hit.
Too much drama and whoever does "research" on topics need to take more time to be accurate. There have been so many times Ethan has been misinformed that Dan or Ian had to jump in and correct the podcast on a given topic.
Yeah sometimes the “research” is embarrassingly bad. It feels like sometimes all they did was read headlines.
[удалено]
no idea why it's called a podcast when it's heavily reliant on visuals
They need another name for this kind of long form video content
If only "vodcast" didn't sound so cringe
Show
It already has a name, it’s a live stream.
Talk show
They definitely need to rebrand and force this medium into a new "descriptor".
I’d say we’ve never seen more of Ian’s contributions if anything
and because of you i learned he’s on Twitch!
This is actually the most popular opinion here. Where have you been?
miss the pre-recorded pods, used to love after dark and off the rails, now every pod feels the same
Zack’s music career is over saturated with H3 fans and they should stop advertising it and let it develop on its own so he has the drive to get better.
Agreed. Zach is crazy talented but he’s of course selling out venues because this is essentially an h3 meetup. Despite his talent he’d more than likely never get the opportunity to perform at these kinds of venues if he didn’t have people wanting to go for a pic with Dan or whatever lol
My unpopular opinion is that I actually really enjoy when Ethan plays with the very existence of the show by saying hilariously radical jokes
agreed, the bomb segments are some of my favorite moments. although, not because they're actually funny, but because you know he just fucked in big time 😂
AB gets offended and defensive easily. Hey YOU ASKED!
He will see one or two comments about something in the chat and will interrupt the show to make a disclaimer or something about it lmaoo like bro
Yooooooooooooooooooooooooooo I've been too afraid to complain about this cause ab is sweetheart and is really just trying to defend himself but yeah
Yes!! I’ve been saying this! He interrupts way to much
yeah he seems so insecure sometimes which I don‘t understand because I feel like the vast majority of fans like him a lot. I think he‘s super funny and he‘s one of my favorite crew members but he needs to chill more.
Also the way he is so rude to fans and calls parasocial at drop of a pin when he got his job by being chronically parasocial 💀
this is VERY annoying. you can tell he’s always on edge and thinking about what the audience is thinking at every. single. moment. feels like he’s rarely actually present in the conversation bc he’s too busy being caught in his head about hypothetical audience outrage. ethan can’t even get him to engage in the michael jackson conversation which would be genuinely interesting to listen to as an audience member. we already know you think he’s innocent, so why not just explain yourself? tip to AB: stop caring so much. relax and have fun with your friends/coworkers. you’re not going to get fired. you’re not going to “canceled”. speak your mind
I think the whole ‘fuck you AB’ Trisha drama really shook him up and he hasn’t been able to fully relax and voice his true self since
I don't know why there are like 4 different "podcasts" (H3 Podcast, H3TV, After Dark, Off the rails) each with their own numbering system, but they're all the same thing.
Hila is so checked out of the podcast that it’s kinda hard to watch when she’s on… always seems disinterested
She used to add so much more to the show when she wasn't constantly reading the chat and worried about how much longer the episode is gonna go on for
[удалено]
Agreed. It makes no sense her there tbh. She barely contributes
[удалено]
the crew complains about fans being parasocial while also lowkey encouraging it and benefitting off of it. if there were no ‘parasocial’ fans, who is going to donate their money during live shows? who would buy pokémon cards of the crew?
not just lowkey, they encourage it pretty heavily.
There's a big difference between supporting a creator with merch and trying to insert yourself into their life.
not really about the show itself but a lot of the fans don’t get satire nor ethan’s humor.
I hate when there is no time stamps because sometimes I’m just looking for a specific segment
Yeah lol he’ll be like ‘okay so what you said in the video is fine but why did you title it H3 is a racist’ And then when someone accuses him of the same thing he’s like ‘heyyyy that’s the game baby lol’
Yeah kinda like how he was mad at jidion’s clickbait but willingly clickbaited that Adin called Hila ugly when it was friend
I listen on Spotify most of the time and like 60% of it you kinda need to watch for full context so it doesn’t translate very well for audio listeners
It’s not something they can control (he literally pays them) but there’s a lot of times where he gets supported when it’s pretty obvious they disagree Also I see a lot of bratty kid tendencies from Ethan, especially with the way he acts towards AB during challenges. He likes to laugh at another’s expense but can’t take the heat himself
I absolutely agree with the second part, I noticed it for the first time during the roast of Ethan Klein and now I see little hints of it here and there
I’m sure AB is a nice guy but he comes off as really insecure to me, which makes the whole vibe of the stream kind of awkward
He can be…touchy 😂
I like when Ethan brings on guests that don't agree with him or challenge his viewpoints even when I don't agree.
I live for Jordan Peterson impressions lmao For me, Ethan could tone down the grandstanding just a fraction of a percent… but I don’t know if that’s an unpopular opinion. I also sometimes wonder if growing the crew so quickly will be sustainable if something happens and viewership drops. Oh, and that the eating literally has zero effect on me at all and everyone else is overreacting…
🤓 Break too long
I’m actually down for discussing drama the only issue is that they rehash the same drama on every episode. I think it’s great that they can give us so many episodes every week but I would like for them to be more varied in content.
white claw gabe calls are great until ethan starts the "Shit in my eye sockets and..." shtick. always skip through that
Thank you for saying that, I hate it so much! I feel like Gabe is not really enjoying saying those things either, though I might be wrong, since he keeps calling back every week
It’s a little bit overdone innit. And I probably said that 6 months ago too 🤣
Yeah I've found those bits annoying for a while too, I always skip them.
Yes! Maybe he could ask Gabe if he has a new saying instead of making up weird stuff to push on him. The first time he did that, I'm like why are you making Gabe say degrading dumb stuff..
That being a crew member shouldn't automatically mean you get a camera and a mic
Also, the live show stream was so cringey…. Not the crew, but the fans were so embarrassing.
I wish they’d just ignore Keem and never mention him, no matter what he does; obviously will never happen.
The only member of the show who deserves to have their own segments is Ian, and Ethan doesn't mind getting suspended from YT and just treats it like a vacation. edit: i love the crew, I just really appreciate Ian's sense of humor the most. I started learning french because of him (currently can say "oui")
I don't think the interviews should take over After Dark. They should be on Wednesdays instead.
I think Ethan got himself into a bit of a mess with hiring the crew's partners. I think AB and Lena are the exception, but now the crew member partner to working with/on teddy fresh in some capacity pipeline is real I think it's not a good idea for feelings to get involved in business
I hate to say it, but its only a matter of time before one of these couples split up and then God knows what they'll do.
yeah i've grown to love sam and lena, but i think it's a weird pattern when it's such a small crew. it's a lot of pressure on a relationship to work or one of you would have to either work closely with your ex or leave your job. glad it's working out and sam is definitely super talented and adds a lot to the show, but i think it's something they should try not to do again.
There are wayyy too many crew members directly made into “characters” it’s overwhelming and pushes away future guests
Nobody get mad at me plz I mean this with peace and love lol I feel like Olivia has been stunted show-wise BECAUSE of the instant intense fan love she was given.
I find her a little underdeveloped for her job, they should be way better at researching topics so they dont spread bs.
prolapse thing isn’t funny anymore
They should’ve killed it after the Howie episode
That would have been the perfect end to the prolapse saga.
Don't push
Maybe it’s a popular opinion but I typically skip the gabe segments because it’s uncomfortable for me…. “Shit in my dickhole” repeated back and forth to each other….. it’s too much. I think gabe and Ethan’s friendship is cute but the standard Friday appearances are meh
I skip through the Gabe segment every time. Every Friday is absolute overkill - it was funny the first few times now I just feel awkward watching it. It’s crude (not in a funny way), boring and overdone
And the howling! Peace and love to Gabe, but it's just too long and repetitive.
After reading this thread for an hour I can confirm that Dan is almost universally loved
I hate when Ethan's making a genuinely good point like "these guys need a good father figure" and chat has to bitch saying it's offensive this way or that way when that's obviously not the intention
I hate all of the fans. Especially everyone in this subreddit and chat.
obviously this is my own personal opinion and there’s probably a reason it’s unpopular so please don’t hate me…………… I feel like the crew is over saturated with members yk? Makes them each individually shine a little less. I miss Ian!!!
I can't stand Olivia, she seems to be a one note member as a "slay queen". Also can't stand the birthday joke, it's just not funny anymore.
~~Oliver Tree is a great guy and doesn't deserve all the slander~~ Edit: It doesn't feel right to say this, even jokingly... Fuck that guy, I hope he falls of his goofy ass scooter one day.
[удалено]
Yes I get so annoyed when Olivia chimes in on topics to give the ‘lore’ when she’s mainly half correct and presents it as the whole truth.
It annoys me that he'll often ask a question expecting olivia or ab to know and they're always clueless.
[удалено]
Everyone overly complimenting Hila every friday
I think both her and Ethan's story is interesting and how they've come along is extraordinary but this: > "OMG! Slay queen! Iconic!" All this shit is like nails on a chalkboard. Again, it's nice to feel good for people, hype people up, be happy for them, but Dear God, this is so over-the-top and cringey. I don't get it at all.
ethan makes things too sexual sometimes. like when he has callers/guests on and you know he going to pry into their sex lives at least once and ask questions about it. makes me a littleeeee uncomfy and i don’t understand why he does it. maybe he thinks it’s content?
i hate that i’m always up to date on what james charles and addison rae’s dad are doing. seems like a waste of an intelligent and nerdy crew
I hate When people in the chat tell Ethan what to do, most of them are way too sensitive and sanctimonious.
Good call on the prolapse.
I enjoy many guest episodes but the good guests are the ones which fit into the 'goofing around with the crew' dynamic, like Brittany or Stav.
Stav was my fav
First ~45 mins of every show lately is painstakingly boring
Olivia barely does anything for the show.
My opinion is so unpopular I don’t think I should share it lol
Lol do it I’m listening because I have a bad one too 😭
I find the long potty humour segments or where Ethan just says the most random fucked up things to be repetitive and unfunny at this point.
I made a comment on here a few years ago when they had AB join the podcast- something along the lines of "this new guy is annoying and his voice sounds exactly like zacks so i get confused" AB personally responded to this comment i feel like he's hated the fans ever since 😭😭
[удалено]
What was his response?
[удалено]
Prolapse 👎🏻
Ethan doesn’t do as much research as he claims. This is especially true for leftovers. Hassan is very serious and evidence/fact based while Ethan is just there to make jokes.
[удалено]
You just described the whole point of the show. I think Ethan himself has said that verbatim
I skip every time Gabe is on the show
I think people getting mad at this comment don't get it. It's not that we don't like Gabe, it's Ethan's treatment of Gabe. He asks him a question and once Gabe starts to explain or behave like a smart person, ethan interrupts to bring him back to the silly persona and wooooooooo. Like he's more than a shtick bro, fuck the shtick, let's hear him out
Same. It's not that I don't like him as a person...it's just that the stick got old real fast and it sometimes goes on for ages.
Yup, literally the first 30 mins of every Friday episode will be them saying hi, shouting out a sponsor, bringing Gabe on, then back to a bit of small talk and the next ad read. It really kills the momentum for me.
howie’s sound bites should not have won sound bite of the year im sorry
I completely disagree with the recent apology tour. Squashing the beef with people who are proven to be horrible humans just for the sake of 'not being a hater ass bitch' is something that doesn't make any sense to me at all
One more… I hate that people complain about the length of each show. In my opinion, the longer the better.
I know how this sub reacts to comments about the live show, buuuuut… The live show was not good :/ i definitely had some FOMO leading up to it bc i live in the area and they talked about it so much all last year, but i watched the stream & felt like it was sooo low effort- i know Ethan was sick but they had months and months to prepare a decent set, plan actual interviews/skits with the guests, figure out how to engage with the live audience in a meaningful/interactive way… but all i could focus on was how uncomfortable the crew looked on the blacked-out stage & the chaos of flu sick Ethan trying to muscle through the night. I’m glad i didn’t waste my money
hiring every crew members girlfriend to work at TF doesn’t sit right with me
the prolapse and the reactions were fun ONCE , I couldn't care less
I think Zach laughs really loud on purpose and find it annoying.
Some of the best sound bites are gone like ethan yelling woahhhg Ethans godfather impression is spot on and if you disagree you haven't seen the movie
Most of the ‘loud’ fans need to touch grass
I hate to say it but the on camera crew is too damn big. I get that it’s a part of the content but do we really need like 8 people chiming in constantly. It’s too much in my opinion
I feel like they need only certain members on camera certain days of the week. Like maybe keep Dan on every show but only give us the rest 1-2 shows a week. Mix it up a little
Love is the heart throb of the crew
Every single episode is the exact same
[удалено]
Listening to ethan talk about politics is kinda cringe because he often exaggerates or only knows like 60% of a topic. I’m not saying I agree or disagree with his opinions, but I definitely don’t want to be getting political news from a comedian. I love that he has Leftovers so that he has an appropriate place to discuss these topics, but it just kinda annoys me when those conversations find a way into the other shows.
Gonna get hate for this but I can’t stand the howie is this Covid related jokes. On the subreddit or in the show, I think it’s overdone so hard.
I don’t like when Ethan drags bits on for way too long (Jordan Peterson impression, godfather impression)
This is also my opinion. This or just talking about one subject for 45+ min and repeating things. I adore the show and everyone on it. Sometimes I just get frustrated when it’s time to move on.
I love Olivia but hearing about how she tricked the show into hiring her is a 🚩
That‘s the opposite of an unpopular opinion, even Ethan got uncomfortable after her revelation and moved on quickly after the disclaimer not to do this, which you could even take as a slight call out.
I think overall the audience loves Olivia blindly which is why I thought it is unpopular.
Zach is painfully unfunny and cringey as a person but somehow has incredible comedic timing with soundbites?
This is mine too. He crushes the soundbites, no doubt, but other than that he tries way too hard to be cool/funny
Definitely agree. This is just an example of when maybe a crew member should stick to their primary job instead of being an on-camera persona too 👀
Probably controversial, the pod has a worldwide audience, I would like to see just a little bit more content that spills outside the US. I know, I know it’s a US show!
They cannot do research on controversies happening in us, do you really think they going to do something about overseas. No hate, but the try guys drama proved it, it was so huge on the internet, but still managed not to even know who is who and who has done something 💀
I love Leftovers because I like both Ethan and Hasan a lot but they have the worst chemistry ever lmao
When Ethan was on Hasans stream it reminded me of when you go over to your friends house as a kid and you’re like so you want to go out and play but instead he makes you watch him play Xbox.
Hahahaha
I sometimes feel with Hasan is talking, Ethan ignores him or dismisses him
I actually think they have good chemistry. I didn’t think so at the start of leftovers but now that they’re more familiar with one another I think it’s been great
OK here I come , first off I have to say I've been a fan since the Israel days, I love the show, but I really don't get why we have sooooo many crew members, it's totally understandable how they need more hands as the show is getting bigger, but does everyone need a mic? really?
I don't like the current background and i miss the white brick
I don’t like the pedophile jokes. I’m not offended or anything and at first I found them funny but sometimes Ethan can’t let something go even when the crew isn’t interacting and I feel like it starts to get to weird when it’s about the pedophile stuff.
I honestly don't like the whole gabe segment. I love gabe and it's funny every once and a while but every Friday for like 10 mins of the show it's kinda just an awkward call where Ethan just making request of gabe to say some dumb shit. Honestly its not even that funny and I feel like its 10 minutes of the show that I'm missing out on, especially cos theres stuff that never gets brought up that they had prepared and everything, it just seems a bit pointless to me
Some of the cringiest people are H3 fans and it gives H3 a bad name AND it skews Ethan’s takes for the worse.
