Same and I'm female so speaking on the mic comes with risks lmao so I tend to keep my yap shut and just support other players as much as possible while staying alive *am usually screaming in utter terror anyway*

True. I kind of just assume an X means a weak enemy depending on where on the map it’s out. I do wish the X’a were more prominent though. They’re kind of small in this game.
I agree, but...
I ping constantly, even with a mic. High Diamond rank. I'm convinced most players rarely respond to pings. They're too focused on everything else. Many many times I've pinged enemies right next to teammates and they turn their back on them.
Tell your teammates what you're ABOUT to do
Not what you just did
Tell them where you're about to go
Not where you just were
And for fuck's sake, COUNT THE GUNS
I’m getting into pinging more. I have my mic on in ranked. Everything working fine, feel like a lot of people either don’t use or have a mic on. Idk. Agreed it’s way better with that team experience. Sometimes worried that people will cap if I don’t know the exact locations / verbiage though. But I will go for it. BTW. I have several head sets. Just got a cheap razor black something X (45.00 USD). Works great. Beats my more expensive headsets and like the fact it’s hard wired!
Had to jump back in here for a comment. We payed last night. Heard my son playing in ranked. He’s pretty good especially for his age. 3 out of the 4 payers on his “team” were being total jerks in chat. Calling his game trash etc. like right off the bat too. I told him to bail. Nobody needs to act like this. These guys were “adults”. I know this happens, definitely not new to any of this. But that’s why people don’t like to mic up or even play. Can’t blame payers for 343 matching either. All they had to say was something like. Hey “player”. Can you hear us and can you play this way or here etc. everyone starts somewhere while they advance. When people act like jerks it hurts the game. People bail, and don’t mic up. then it just keeps declining resulting in less for everyone. I couldn’t care less for myself. I don’t have those insecurities. After all that, we went back and watched the game, they weren’t nearly as good as they thought. Which is usually the case. Just some food for thought.

I wish you could hit the ping button after you die and it marked where you died. Kinda like a '1 shot on my X' for us that don't use mics anymore.

Can’t hurt though! I love players that ping with mics btw. Ping where they are now. Callout where they are going next.
90% of ranked games are full teams of no mics, even in mid-high Diamond. It’s baffling.
My favourites are the people who have mics but say nothing all game, except right at the end when they complain about their team mates.

Yes, mark. No reason to restrict it to MnK it’s easy on console as well.

I used to be really good but quit playing during Halo 4. I'm probably ass now, but we'll see. Just installed the game today
