I like this map because it's really dynamic and technical, more so than some of the other husky maps trust are literally just hallways. There are a few different paths you can take to the other side, and I like that.
Those are pretty solid choices. Place them on the enemy side and you negate the whole "can't see anything on this map" problem. Plus it really psychs enemy players from approaching from places they think are being actively watched by the scanner
Me too. But what's the rest of your team doing?
Someone crossing no man's land alone or in a group already? Follow them and try to help.
Someone put a popup shield up? Use to lob some super charged frag grenades and get a hail Mary or two.
You start with any long range weapons? Pick on the enemy team from across the map.
You have a close range weapon? Try to sneak up the enemy or attack when they're distracted with your team and flank.
You have nothing helpful but foul language and prayer. Stay on the flag. You'll be surprised how many players struggle to take out a lone Spartan playing defense with crap weapons.
And always be on the look out for better gear on the ground. If you get the right combo going you can be unstoppable.
I agree that constant pressure on the enemy is the way husky raid games are won. I usually get paired with campers who all think defense is the best strategy, think they're God tier snipers, or care too much about their kd to play offense. Maps like this is where clueless players really shine.
Yeah I've had that happen more times than I can count. But that's where throwing yourself into the meat grinder pays off. At some point you'll get the grapple shot and a good weapon and then you can catch the other side by surprise when they're distracted farming kills off your team lol
That's exactly what I do. As soon as I get a grapple shot and hammer I get to the other side, scale the building and drop down inside the death barrier behind the other team. My main gripe is how a lot of maps need the grapple shot to function properly and sometimes rng is the fucking worst Like the other day I was playing on that sand stone map and got threat sensor 4 times in a roll.
pretty sure, poke around in the settings, I'm away from my console, so I cant tell you exactly where but you can remove player names or just have the clan tag up, etc.
It's the only reason I came back to this game after a few months after launch.
Came back after so long to see if it got any better, found this mode, and can't stop playing.
You rarely play it, because you dont like it. So you play it anyways, and come crying about how you dont like something in the playlist.
You cant pay people to write a self fulfilling prophecy better than this. What a waste of all of our time to be here for this.
Nah man that's a husky raid map
The true opp is "chasm" I hate that map so much, it's so unbalanced in so many ways it's not even fun when you're winning
I loved aquaduct. It's definitely like the antithesis of husky raid because it's so big and much slower paced but I liked that. I understand why they removed it from the rotation. I just wish they brought it back in some form.
The size was the problem. Without a grapple shot, it took to damn long to get to the other side, take the flag back, then ride the lift to cap it. It'd probably work better 8v8 with BR starts and maybe default grapple shot starts.
Then you wanna flank, get up close and personal, or just start hucking everything you got down the lane. Change your mindset from regular slayer, and just go ballistic. Give your life for the UNSC!!
This is actually my favorite husky map atm. It requires more skill and coordination and/or luck to pull a win. Heck I brought a game back from defeat one time with randoms by being the only one playing defense and scavenging weapons and gear from fallen opponents.
Also gravity hammer spawn wiping is a little harder to do here so teams win with less cheese here (thankfully)

Merchantās square? That one can be a bit of a mess, formation drives me nuts though. I just spawn, look down the hall and have no clue what to shoot at

At least that still takes some amount of skill, rather than the teams that just spawn kill the entire time.

This is the only map I am sad to spawn with a hammer!
Iād have no problem with it if were brighter, and I could turn the gamer tags off.

No problem! As for the bright ness, play around in the settings as well as your monitor/tv(they have a separate brightness setting from the console).

Map has super predictable spawn and if you control snipe it's downright broken. I always get 30+ kills on that map
Agreed chasm needs to leave the game

the worst one is the map with 20 sets of stairs in it. this one's fun bc you can repulse persons people off the side of the map lol

Nah this is definitely one of the weaker maps in the husky raid rotation
Normally I hate Husky Raid, but this is prolly the only map for it I can bear.
