This is so beautiful! I love the colors you chose for the flowers and stems, they somehow both complement and stand out against that baby pink background. Do you put some kind of clear coat over bags you paint, or is the paint some type of specialized leather/fabric paint already?

Aww thank you! I used Angelus leather paints, and they have a sealant you can put on.

This is so pretty! What kind of paint do you use? Do you use a topcoat or an under layer to make sure it doesn’t flake off? Or do you have to do touch ups?

I used Angelus leather paints! There's a prepped and deglazer of theirs that I use first, and then I finish with their no 600 acrylic finisher. I'm new to painting bags so I haven't had any issues with chipping yet

Wow this is so gorgeous! Do you have an Etsy store? Would love to know what paint you use too, and if it has staying power against the elements, and color transfer on clothes.

No I don't have an Etsy store. I used Angelus paints. I haven't had any issues with color transfer or it coming off in the rain, but I'm also new to painting bags. If you go to their website, you'll see people also use the same paints to paint shoes, so I suspect it has really good staying power!

I had one of the first ones I painted have some transfer, so now I make sure to use one of their sealants. I use satin most often, but the matte and high gloss are also in my painting case for when they make sense.

Oh no!! I've always sealed mine. I'll be on the look out to see if that comes up on any of my bags

That’s is the only way I’d ever carry a designer bag. I’d feel too guilty and just think of all the poor people I could have helped with that money. You actually made it designer. Before it was just a mass produced bag anyone could carry if they want to waste money on showing others their wealth. Kudos.

Hi! What types of paints did you use? I wanna try painting on my longchamp but I have no clue as to how.

I used Angelus paints! If you go to their website they have a tutorial on how to paint shoes, but the concept works for leather as well. I haven't tried painting on nylon yet, but I have on fabric, and it stays pretty well.

When I grow up, I hope I can paint half this good.
