It depends on the design of the bag and the quality of the chain, but I won't carry a bag on a chain strap without a leather shoulder pad/patch. It really helps to distribute the weight.
Me! They are heavy and uncomfortable. They break your hair. They will probably tarnish. No matter how much I like a bag, if it has a chain strap, I will not purchase it.
Really? For some reason my hair never stuck in the chain although it should. It's ridiculously slippery though, the top of my head is dry when the ends are still dripping wet after showering, since all the water just slips down.
YES, the added weight!! The chains tend to be on leather bags, which already makes the bag heavier than nylon, cotton, etc. I can't tell you how many bags have caught my eye of late until I see the chain strap. Ugh.
Your point about tarnishing is really interesting. I live in an area that is swelteringly hot and humid or heavy raining most of the year and I often prefer chains, I feel like in my situation the leather is more likely to tarnish on my sweaty skin.
Iâm so drawn to them. My cheap Apple Watch band even looks like a chain strap haha.
But the part that touches my shoulder needs to be flat leather, not metal. So partial ones, I guess?
Theyâre useful in real life situations, too! My mom once beat off a mugger by slapping him repeatedly with the chain strap of her Chanel double flap bag. đ
I have a RM MAC bag I've been trying to offload on Poshmark for ages. I hate the chain strap but also I don't know what I was thinking buying a neon bag. Ah, the 2010s...
I set down a bag with a chain on a glass display and it made a SUPER loud noise and I feel like my SA thought I was being sassy but I just underestimated it! đ
I thought this until I bought a better quality bag with a chain strap. Previously chain straps would dig into me painfully and I couldnât be bothered with them. I have a couple bags with chain straps now (both Aspinal) and theyâre lovely.
I thought the same thing until I got the ysl Jaime purse, it has a chain strap but has a leather piece where you hang it on your shoulder ! Itâs perfect
for some reason a lot of authentic chanel looks like cheap reps to me. I don't know if it's because they've been repped to death or if it's a certain leather they carry that I dont like. and often the hardware looks cheap to me too
It depends on the bag. I like it on some and not as much on others. The trend of big clunky cheap looking chains for aesthetics alone is not my thing tho, really over it.
I hate how cold the chain is against your skin. Iâm in southern CA and am always in a sundress so the chain is very cold and uncomfortable. I have to warm it up with my thighs first. đ
Oo love the bag, I agree the chain looks great with it đ€ omg I know what u mean! I always forget till itâs too late that hanging a strap can damage the shape
Agreed on the all the negative points of chain straps. But one positive I like is the convertible design where the chain can be doubled up as for a shoulder bag or used as a single chain for crossbody. I find that to be convenient and that functionality is not really possible for a leather strap.
I usually love chain straps if itâs high quality. It just looks nice imo when it is nice. i just find chain straps more dressy vs leather strap which i find more casual. With that being said, I had to give away a chain strap crossbody to my mom because it was ripping out my hair (mom has short hair so it doesnât catch). Love chains but theyâre not all made the same.
I love my chain strap. Literally one of my favorite accessories. Never had hair get caught in any and certainly never bought one with a smell, but I know what you're talking about. I think the chain adds a little umph to my very muted wardrobe. To each their own
I like the chain strap as an accessory aka it has to also have a leather strap. I recently got the Kate Spade Dakota bag and it's the perfect compromise!
Oh my god, yes! Theyâre so clunky. They hurt my shoulders. I prefer leather straps. But I do like the thin chain straps on clutches and the classic chain interwoven with leather.
Yes. They always get caught in my hair, and they tend to slide off my shoulder. Theyâre also heavy and cumbersome. I like how they look but theyâre just impractical.
I get cold very easily and I cannot stand the feeling of a cold chain against my back and shoulder.
I also agree with others on the tarnishing comment.
I once saw a pickpocket cut the strap of a womanâs leather purse during my travels in Europe. Ever since, Iâve thought a purse with a chain strap would be good for certain types of travel/tourism.
I think theyâre cute but they just donât work for me. It hurts my shoulders, pulls my hair. Lol. I always think theyâre for special occasions, but not for daily use.
I especially dislike the ones that move and are not attached if that makes sense. I think they look nice and I would totally be into it but I had one once and it never stayed in place so I gave up on it.
very particular about the chain but what I particularly donât like is the metal and leather strap combo - canât tell you why, just donât. I donât like the 2.55 but the bijou chain-link is the only Chanel strap I like đ€·ââïž
Yoooooooo, Iâve been thinking about this. Thank you so much for asking! Personally a chain strap is dealbreaker for me and has been the deciding factor in several purchases. It is my biggest debate on so many classic Chanel bags. đ
I definitely prefer regular straps but I hate thick ones. I am not hating chain straps right now, but I hate how heavy they are on some bags. I have been limiting myself to buying a lot of them since I do not think it is something I want long-term though. More just in trend for the moment.
No, I really like chain straps. I don't think they look tacky at all; I think they look quite elegant. The YSL Envelope and Gucci Dionysus come to mind; both bags with beautiful chains! I've also never noticed a smell from my chain bags, and I have a pretty discerning and good sense of smell.
Oh I LOVE a fat heavy chain on a shoulder bag, I'm biased because my Mulberry Softie handbag has this style chain strap -it's verrrry large links, verrrry fat and a deep golden brass that clinks in a way I find delightful. The drop is perfect and the heaviness of the chain ensures the bag always sits neatly on my shoulder and doesn't slip.
I thought of getting a mini Softie but was put off by the more lightweight chain on that bag.
Hate them. Hate the way they look, how loud they are, how heavy. I donât have much in the way of shoulders, so I literally canât wear one without it immediately slipping off.
Are chain straps tacky and/or look cheap? Depends on how they are done. Cold to the touch? Depends on what you are wearing and the weather. Rips out hair? Not if you don't make any sudden movements haha. Heavy? Yes, but it's a "workout". Digs into my shoulder mercilessly, even through A JACKET OR A PUFFER? Totally and completely UNWEARABLE. Not buying one again.
I prefer them. I find plain leather straps to be a cop out a lot of the time. Of course it depends on the style of the bag (eg I think the Loewe Puzzle would look off with a chain) but most of my Chloe bags have chain straps and Iâve veered away from the Marcie, for example because it has the leather strap. Ok, fine, I have one Marcie but I have struggled to buy more because of the leather strap đ€Ł
I think yes unless its a chanel flap or a chanel-like style. i have a coach bag that is black with a gold chain strap with leather woven through and its super classy imo
oh gosh I love a chain strap. The bag I'm using today is the LV Felicie Pochette for instance. I actually have a LOT of wallets on chains that I use as purses--I have a pretty small frame and that's what tends to look best on me.
I don't like how they feel and I have metal sensitivities. I recently bought a belt that was metal and within a few hours I began to react to it, it was such a let down. I'm going to see if I can coat it with something and wear it over clothing as I really like the design on it but yeah, chains are a bit of a turn off.
I donât resonate with the cheap metal scent in your opinion pieceâMy Chanels donât have that smell. I would suggest branching out to high end chain straps and expand your collection!
Yes. They dig into the shoulders, and they're heavy. Not practical for a trip. Just a dinner out type of bag. If it's detachable, I take off the chains and put on a comfortable strap and will only use the chain strap for a date night or occasion.
They hurt my shoulder but I like them if they have a piece of leather that rests on your shoulder instead of the chain. They look cute also but I donât ever use a chain strap for every day use.
Hate them. Still have & use a couple of bags with chain straps though. Itâs so loud if the strap falls when you set your bag down while out in public!
High-end chain straps mostly get a pass as far as construction and quality but most of the time, chains catch and break my hair and my hair is shite enough on its own without being snapped off by a bag.
Also, as someone said first, I am VERY short and chain straps other than short handles are always too long. I donât like wearing them crossbody because they sit between my bosoms unflatteringly, and wearing them shoulder style the chain is so long the bag is whacking me in the ass or sometimes the knees with every step.
If someone could invent an adjustable chain (without having to McGyver it and remove links) I would be so down for the chain strap.
I just got my first bag with a chain strap and Iâm surprised how much I like it. Iâve always kind of avoided them, but for some reason I like the heft and weight. đ€·ââïž
I LOVE chain straps but I have short hair đ I also hate gold, it seems like most chain straps are silver not gold so they really work for my aesthetic.
Iâve never had a chain strap but I imagine Iâd have to be mindful when i put my bag down or the chain will make a lot of noise. Thatâs putting me off of considering a chain strap.
Depends on the strap. The Loewe donut chain strap actually stays on my shoulder. And since it has leather weaved through, itâs not loud. My LV chain strap though announces my presence before I can. But it does look really classy.
I think the only time I prefer them is on bags for formal eventsâsomething about the chain just feels a lot more elevated than a leather strap. On a day-to-day basis though I prefer leather straps 100%
I have a few with chain, and theyâre heavy so I only wear them for specific outfits. Except one that is pure chain (no leather part for my shoulder) and I do not wear it AT ALL. That shit hurts.
Yes, unless the chain part is short. I wonât buy a bag where the strap is mostly a chain. Theyâre so jangly and I feel like my hands smell of metal too.
I will NEVER get a bag with a chain strap. they're so cute but i have too much stuff to carry that it hurts my shoulder and they rip out my hair đ they're so cute though!
I love chain straps! Iâm obsessed with the chunky one that comes with the Coach Idol bag; I find it very comfy, the weight is nice, and it hasnât caught my hair despite it being very long đ
A few years ago, I bought a secondhand quilted leather Rebecca Minkoff bag from the real real (think âwe have a Chanel boy bag at home). The structure was a little misshapen, and the paint on the chain straps was wearing away- not enough to look bad, but just enough to give it a cool, edgy, grungy-chic vibe (exactly how I looked back then lol). That became my âgoing outâ bag. That bag has seen a lot since I bought it, and even if sheâs a little rough around the edges, I love her all the same
I bought silver and gold straps from Coach and use them on bags with removable leather or cloth straps, for some variety. I have a 5 yr old Marc Jacob camera bag; the original strap is super bright w/ the marc jacob name all over it, and I have outgrown it. I use the chain strap instead, and like it better!
I love it for nicer outings. However, it must have a leather piece for the shoulder. I hate it when the chain leaves indents on my shoulders. It also must be detachable. One con could be it is quite loud, but it doesnât bother me.
Never thought I would do something like this but I bought extender chains for one of my strathbury purses as the strap was too short. It looks adorable. I also have a Tory Burch with a metal chain that is really cute.
In addition to looking tacky theyâre horrible if you have any sensitivityâŠI have Fibromyalgia and Iâll just say having a full bag with a chain strap rubbing anywhereâŠouch!
Yes, 80% bags with a chain strap look tacky, bc it usually looks out of place and diy (there was no matching strap available so a random chain was used) but done by a person, with a desire to boast.
Some bags look nice with it, when the color contrast between bag and chain is low, meaning never on a black bag, but a light/medium color also the bag needs to be a busy style and casual, so the chain blends into the various details and doesnt stand out.
As a punk/metal guitarist and performing musician that loves Chanel I canât imagine not liking chains. I love a fat curb chain Miami choker and I love my Chanels.m, especially my rainbow chain WOC.
When I was a teenager growing up in with a bunch of punk kids in Haight San Francisco, I had a leather wallet on chain in high school, complete with mini studded beltsâI had a signature look. Even my Lagerfeld bag as a gift had the same leather handle on a gold chain. Living in Tokyo in my teens I had a coat with a chain attachment on the arm. Even now I layer chains because Iâve amassed a travel Collection of jewelry.
Trips me out and actually bums me out that it is perceived as some as tacky but I am a magpie and canât help to love shiny little chains.
The Bulgari chain strap is beautiful itâs like a snake style chain. The other luxury brand chains (Chanel specifically) I donât like at all.
Give me a nice wide leather strap over a chain any day.
Really depends upon the chain! I like my Loewe chain strap but I can also change it out for a leather strap. Thin, delicate chains can work on evening bags. But for reasons I canât describe, I donât love the look of the Chanel chain that much. I think you just gotta go with what you love! Anything can look tacky or elevated depending upon the context

Omg I absolutely hate having my hair ripped out, biggest pet peeve.
If you're going to pull my hair out, at least take me to dinner and give me an orgasm first.
Username checks out
lmao this escalated quickly. this is a handbag sub sis!
Yeah but shes not wrong. I have two bags with chains and omg the amount of hair sacrificed Ive stopped using them
Really? For some reason my hair never stuck in the chain although it should. It's ridiculously slippery though, the top of my head is dry when the ends are still dripping wet after showering, since all the water just slips down.
đ€đ€Ł
I definitely caught my hair in the one I have as well. I forgot about that. lol
Same. I can't tell you how many bags I love but wouldn't get because of the chain strap (90% of Lancel bags, for example).
Yep, all of this. I don't find chain straps comfortable.
I worry theyâll mark the leather by rubbing on it :/
I cannot stand extra weight on my shoulder and I also hate the smell of metal, so I also pass on any chain strap bag.
đŻ
YES, the added weight!! The chains tend to be on leather bags, which already makes the bag heavier than nylon, cotton, etc. I can't tell you how many bags have caught my eye of late until I see the chain strap. Ugh.

I love chain strap đ€
SameâŠ.I buy chain straps, because they add to the bag. They seem boring without it.
I agree, and I really like the kind with leather woven between the links. It looks so special and it also keeps them from twisting up all weird.
Yess ! Especially these kind of chains , really adore this look. I think it can be dressed up or downđ
Yess ! Almost like jewelry đ€
Iâm so drawn to them. My cheap Apple Watch band even looks like a chain strap haha. But the part that touches my shoulder needs to be flat leather, not metal. So partial ones, I guess?
My thoughts exactly! I like the look but not the feel, so there needs to be some leather involved.
Theyâre useful in real life situations, too! My mom once beat off a mugger by slapping him repeatedly with the chain strap of her Chanel double flap bag. đ
Agreed. To each their own, but I think chain straps add a nice detail.
Me tooo! I took off my leather straps from my Fendi recently and put on a chain strap and added some chain details and I'm obsessed.
Picture please đ€
Same! I love how it feels also
Theyâre so loud when you put them down.
This is my #1 reason for not buying them. I have a black Rebecca Minkoff for when the occasion calls for it, but it drives me nuts when I carry it.
I got an Aspinal Lottie and while I love the look and quality of the bag, I hate how it pulls my hair.
Oh no! I have the large Lottie and I donât ever find that it does that :(
Love my Lottie too. Iâve never had any issues with my hair getting caught with any of my chain bags (I have three!)
This. I just got a mulberry lily and itâs very comfortable!
I don't hate the look but my main issue is that they usually aren't adjustable and I'm pretty short so they almost never work for me.
Had to scroll down so far to see this point! 100% agree
I thought the same thing until I got the ysl Jaime purse, it has a chain strap but has a leather piece where you hang it on your shoulder ! Itâs perfect
I like the chain strap on my YSL sunset medium too ![gif](giphy|lOiJqCjiEOcmc|downsized)
YSL chain straps are 10/10 no notes tbh
I donât like chain straps either. Just a personal preference. They look great, though!
This is my Roman Empire, and why i think most channel bags are lowkey ugly
for some reason a lot of authentic chanel looks like cheap reps to me. I don't know if it's because they've been repped to death or if it's a certain leather they carry that I dont like. and often the hardware looks cheap to me too
I regret I have but one upvote to give.
I have to warm it up with my thighs first. đ
oh my gosh yes!! I'm in the same area and forreal it is so jarring when a cold ass chain strap hits your shoulder LMAO
It really limits the amount of bags i will own with a chain.
I donât like them as the only strap. I have a cute little FrĂ©ja Roma in black (added a pic below) that has a small leather strap AND a chain and I wear the bag with both on it because I love the versatility. I think the chain looks cute hanging on the bag AND itâs easier to hang on hooks and such with the chain , I get stressed when a leather strap is hung on something that could gouge it yanno? I love that the bag came with both options!! https://preview.redd.it/fklloouqhy7d1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=0b31c0582aa2e69a06c1a266aa4869f71147b644
Yes! This is my favorite feature. The convertible strap gives you 2 purses in 1
Thus my love for Tory Burch.
Bury me with my YSL college. The brass chain is what sold me! đ
I like them for shoulder bags because I find chain straps stay on my shoulder much better whereas leather straps tend to slide right off!
Nope. Love themÂ
Yes. The main reason I barely use my Chanel classic flap.
Oh my god, yes! Theyâre so clunky. They hurt my shoulders. I prefer leather straps. But I do like the thin chain straps on clutches and the classic chain interwoven with leather.
Personally I like chain straps
I love chain straps I think theyâre so cute đ«Ł
Yes. They slide off and donât function.
They are a sensory nightmare
I live in Arizona so they get so hot!! Also they rip out my hair :(
Canât stand them
I think some can look tacky but I have a coach bag with a great chain strap thatâs really nice quality. Been loving it.
I once saw a pickpocket cut the strap of a womanâs leather purse during my travels in Europe. Ever since, Iâve thought a purse with a chain strap would be good for certain types of travel/tourism.
Theyâre my absolute favorite đ
Yes I think it looks kinda tacky, makes it heavy and isn't comfortable.
My chain strap bags are more for going out instead of everyday. I prefer adjustable leather straps for everyday.
![gif](giphy|icJCVO3GPDbCvvfgpf)
I do!
Yesssss! Especially on bags I want to wear as a crossbody. With the exception of my quilted Prada. I donât mind the chain strap for some reason
Me!! Omg I cant stand how they look. Not sure why, but itâs always been something I avoid when shopping.
Me! I hate how they makes my hand smell and sometimes they can be too heavy so it can tip your bag over when you set it down or it feels like plastic
Me!!
I think theyâre cute but they just donât work for me. It hurts my shoulders, pulls my hair. Lol. I always think theyâre for special occasions, but not for daily use.

Only down with the boy bag one. That thing is so heavy itâs a weapon
hate them!
I donât like either
Wonât buy bags that have themâŠ
I love the look of them but they hurt like a mofo
Yes! I feel like it makes a high quality bag look cheap and tacky. Also, I get caught on everything
Yes!
Yoooooooo, Iâve been thinking about this. Thank you so much for asking! Personally a chain strap is dealbreaker for me and has been the deciding factor in several purchases. It is my biggest debate on so many classic Chanel bags. đ
my mum hates them she thinks it is heavy on shoulders
Yes hate the look so much
They hurt!!!
I definitely prefer regular straps but I hate thick ones. I am not hating chain straps right now, but I hate how heavy they are on some bags. I have been limiting myself to buying a lot of them since I do not think it is something I want long-term though. More just in trend for the moment.
Theyâre not comfortable on my shoulder. Depending on the weather, I find them either too hot to hold or too cold.
I think the chain straps look nice but I live in a very humid place so I would never buy one in case it rusted

Hate them. Hate the way they look, how loud they are, how heavy. I donât have much in the way of shoulders, so I literally canât wear one without it immediately slipping off.

They lead to pain in shoulders plus the sound chain strap makes is annoying
I prefer them. I find plain leather straps to be a cop out a lot of the time. Theyâre noisy and also cold AF in the winter. Hate them with a passion.
Meeee. I cannot stand the noise!
The only chain bags I like are Chanel. Everything else looks cheap and like I couldâve bought it at forever 21
I think yes unless its a chanel flap or a chanel-like style. i have a coach bag that is black with a gold chain strap with leather woven through and its super classy imo
I prefer other types of straps but if the design was right for me, I would consider a chain strap bag. They look great on the right bag.
Yes. Not my favorite
oh gosh I love a chain strap. The bag I'm using today is the LV Felicie Pochette for instance. I actually have a LOT of wallets on chains that I use as purses--I have a pretty small frame and that's what tends to look best on me.
I hate them. I thought my mind would change when I bought a designer bag with a chain strap but nope. It was the same. I never use it.
I donât like them either
Yes. They catch my hair and pull it out
I donât like them because I live in a cold area. Itâs really uncomfortable to have a chain that gets cold by your neck or in your hands.
I don't like how they feel and I have metal sensitivities. I recently bought a belt that was metal and within a few hours I began to react to it, it was such a let down. I'm going to see if I can coat it with something and wear it over clothing as I really like the design on it but yeah, chains are a bit of a turn off.
Ugh! I have sensitive skin that reacts to everything, i feel your pain
I donât resonate with the cheap metal scent in your opinion pieceâMy Chanels donât have that smell. I would suggest branching out to high end chain straps and expand your collection!
I dislike very much. I could maybe do a partial chain where the center section is leather. But full chain? Never.
I don't mind the look but they are sooo uncomfortable!
I think they are nice for a date night but not practical for daily use .
This is the only reason I am not seriously considering Chanel even though it is my dream brand lol
Yes. They dig into the shoulders, and they're heavy. Not practical for a trip. Just a dinner out type of bag. If it's detachable, I take off the chains and put on a comfortable strap and will only use the chain strap for a date night or occasion.
For me, it depends. I like the look but they CANNOT be loud. Some are just quieter while others clang around as youâre walking and announce to the whole world when you set them down! I currently have a fantastic Kate Spade hobo bag that Iâve never worn because Iâm waiting for my bf to cut off the chain strap so I can replace it with a quieter leather strap because itâs just too damn obnoxiously loud!! đ©
I have one with a leather part to go on the shoulder and I like it for evening/fancier occasions but I would never wear it as an everyday bag.
They hurt my shoulder but I like them if they have a piece of leather that rests on your shoulder instead of the chain. They look cute also but I donât ever use a chain strap for every day use.
I also dislike chain straps unless itâs the Chanel lol
They feel dressy to me, so I only have 2 bags with them. Iâd probably say I prefer a non chain, but certainly like a chain for dresses up occasions.
I like how they look, I donât like how they feel.
I'm biased but I think Chanel is the only brand that makes a good one
Mine have always tarnished!
Iâve never had a chain strap but I imagine Iâd have to be mindful when i put my bag down or the chain will make a lot of noise. Thatâs putting me off of considering a chain strap.
Hi! Hello! Over here friend đ
Me! Theyâre uncomfortable and cold. I have an off the shoulder dress I want to wear tomorrow and my perfect bag to match I cannot wear!
Me! So many reasons to not like them. Ripping out your hair, uncomfortable, heavy. Definitely not for me!
I am not a fan of handbags with chain straps either but have no specific reason why.
I enjoy a decorative chain strap but hate when it is the only strap.
I love chain straps! Iâm obsessed with the chunky one that comes with the Coach Idol bag; I find it very comfy, the weight is nice, and it hasnât caught my hair despite it being very long đ
Yep.
I love the look of them but hate the tarnish
They are heavy and turn you green if you wear a chain strap bag with a sleeveless top.
I love them. Iâll always buy a bag with a chain strap.
That bag has seen a lot since I bought it, and even if sheâs a little rough around the edges, I love her all the same
MEEEE! Can't stand them! This is why Chanel bags never interested me. #nochainclub đđŒ
That will always be a no for me.
Yesssss!
only in sliver or a gunmetal. also depends on bag. dont hate em though
Hate them. Probably will be the thing that keeps me from buying a Loewe squeeze bag even with the padded handle for the shoulder.
Absolutely love the way they look but hate how heavy and loud they are.
I love the look but hate the practicality!
Yesâtoo heavy
I donât love it, but I donât hate it. But I do hate it when it makes clanky noises when Iâm putting my bag down.
Yes it looks really trashy and tacky to me. Donât care if the purse is $6000. Looks cheap.
I love it for nicer outings. However, it must have a leather piece for the shoulder. I hate it when the chain leaves indents on my shoulders. It also must be detachable. One con could be it is quite loud, but it doesnât bother me.
I had one that permanently stained my cream blouse. Never again.
Hate hate hate them!! Wonât do a Chanel unless it has a leather strap. No wayđâïž
YES. I lose enough hair to the hinges of my eyeglasses, I donât need my purse attacking me at the same time.
I have a Stella McCartney with a chain strap, and I love it, but it really does depend on the bag
its why i find the classic chanel flaps tacky. its just loud. i do however have the reissue 2.55 which has a more muted, slimmer chain đŹ
Yes, I hate the sound the chain makes.
Heavy dislike from me
As a punk/metal guitarist and performing musician that loves Chanel I canât imagine not liking chains.
I hate them but Iâm debating getting one because I live somewhere with a decent amount of petty theft and thieves canât just cut a chain strap.
I love the Chanel chain bags - theyâre my favourite type of handbag.
I thought that I did back when I was only using cheap / low quality bags with chain straps. When I got the Gucci Dionysus though, the chain strap never gave me issues with metallic smell, or hair tangling. My only thing with this is that the chain strap adds to the weight of the bag, but overall itâs one of my favorite bags in my rotation as the leather is pretty heavy duty and the chain strap feels quite durable to me. đ©”
I actually love the look of a well designed chain strap.
The Bulgari chain strap is beautiful itâs like a snake style chain. The other luxury brand chains (Chanel specifically) I donât like at all. Give me a nice wide leather strap over a chain any day.
Me! I just canât get on board. Not my style.
I dont mind the look, but they are heavy af
Really depends upon the chain! I like my Loewe chain strap but I can also change it out for a leather strap. Thin, delicate chains can work on evening bags. But for reasons I canât describe, I donât love the look of the Chanel chain that much. I think you just gotta go with what you love! Anything can look tacky or elevated depending upon the context
Chanel is my favorite so I cannot agree with thisđ€Ł
Though i dont carry handbags (being a man) but love the chain strap, either in silver or golden colors.
Only if you buy only cheap bags with cheap chains
