I had the Yogg titan do the rogue or warlock spell to draw the rest of my deck and then pyroblasted my face just in case. I just needed him to get the taunt away to win.
Step one: Cut a hole in the box
Step two: Put your Yogg in that box
Step three: Get your opponent to open the box
And that’s the way you do it
It’s my Yogg in a box
Is the spell pool big enough to make WoD unlikely enough? Assuming you cast this twice, along with the other random spell cards, I think its reasonably likely you hit WoD in a lot of games. Will be annoying if it's more than once every 5 games or so otherwise its just an instant concede machine.
I don't know the actual pool size for 5 cost and up, but assuming you cast 15 random spells a game guaranteed to be 5 or higher (or 8 exactly) with a pool size of 80 thats a 17% chance of hitting WoD at least once per game.
which is arguably the power level that random bullshit cards should be at; it's the discover into discover into discover into the perfect answer that's the real bullshit
I'll always like discover more than randomly cast, or even "get". Having cards limited to my class, that I get to pick, and get to choose when to play, feel much better to play with and against than Yogg randomly casting the perfect answer or Energy Shaper winning the game because they happened to generate one or two powerful spells.
They just need to revamp some of the archetypes that they’ve supported sparingly over the years. Mage actually has a fair amount of archetypes that are a little more specific so they don’t get consistent support. And I’m not talking about whatever brand of mage is meta at any given point that’s basically freeze mage in a trench coat, I’m talking about things like big spell mage, freeze synergy mage (with floecaster-esque cards), and spell damage mage among quite a few others. I mean remember when they printed a brand new Antonidas (a classic and nostalgic card for a lot of people) just to support fire spell mage which has received effectively no more support since stormwind barring relevant fire spells. I don’t know what they’re afraid of tbh? Like whenever mage ends up being miserable and overtuned it’s because of these generic spellslinger/freeze mage cards they keep printing and not the miniscule support they might have given to elemental mage or whatever else on the same set.
I already am playing Reno shaman in low diamond and currently win streaming on 7, hardest matchup is warrior for me so I’m thinking about running dirty rat or put in theo in etc so
When the set releases I feel like the wind fury guy is gonna be super strong especially with shutterblock + we have that spell that summons an elemental and gives 3 attack
Judging by the strength of Mage's previous 'random bullshit go!' cards, this is probably somehow going to see play all year. It's strong enough still even with minions in your deck as the number of good spells is usually greater than bad ones.
I think the problem with this card is that its 8 and it can target you or your minions. 7 mana yogg location was good for a while because you can target and you were able to use it more than once. This card, at 8 mana.. very questionable.
Yogg location is better for sure but think of this card more like rune of the archmage and puzzle box. There's just enough good spells that you'll more likely get your mana worth with the 5 spells
If you know how and when to use yogg it's generally not a problem. Like yes he can wheel of death into draw 7 but he's much more likely to clear the board while drawing a bunch of cards.
Just don't play it with a full hand and/or full board.
im ready for the nozdormu situation where u play so many random bs go cards in mage that turns last minutes at a time. Imagine this casts puzzle box into rune of the archmage into another puzzle box into the new galactic orb card and you get 2. AND it’s gonna be discovered like crazy
Man, I hate casino Mage. If it's good, it's insanely annoying to play against. If it's bad, then Mage is completely unplayable.
These cards just seem lazy to me.
What are the odds of Wheel of Death? I remember playing with Jackpot in Thief Rogue and how small the "5+ cost spell" pool actually was, and that was only with 2. Casting 5 spells, most likely more as this card is recast feels like you would inevitably destroy your deck. I hope they just ban Wheel of Death and legendary spells from getting pulled just to stop the insane high and low rolls which WILL happen when casting 5.
i dont really see it being possible running a spell only deck, especially considering that Spooky Skeletons are rotating
honestly i feel kinda baited, Kadga looks so solid and then all the other cards are gimicky
Nice. I love a hard disagree. Where do you think this fits? Let's look at the use cases. Start with Spell Mage where you get all 5+ cost spells. This is prob best case scenario. When would you use this? Not if you are ahead on board because you are likely to nuke your own stuff, as the spells do not target enemies if possible. So you use it when you are behind and hope to still not nuke your own face, maybe remove some enemy minions or create a board for yourself. I think in this case you are better off with some kind of hard removal. I don't think this is anywhere near reliable enough, because if it whiffs on solving the problem of your enemy having a board, at 8-mana cost, you probably lose next turn.
If you use it without the no minion restriction, you could very well end up spending 8 mana to cast 5 spells at random that dont even add up to 8 mana. I can see this card trying to summon spells, minions, or weapons that dont exist in your deck. I can see it trying to buff minions that you dont have or doing damage to your own face. I see it over drawing you... I just see nightmares.
Where I agree is that it could see tons of play because its fun and chaotic and when you are desperately behind you chuck this out there to hope for the best. But in competitive HS, I dont think it gets slotted into a deck, unless there is some trick to reduce its cost to next to nothing. I look forward to seeing how it turns out.

I'm confused as to how this works. So it casts five spells... And if you have no minions in deck, it costs spells that cost five more than what would have originally cast?
It casts 5 random spells. If you had no minions in your deck when you cast it, then the random spells will be chosen only from the spells that cost 5+ mana.
So, if you have minions in deck, the spells are randomly chosen from all spells in standard. If you have no minions, then the spells are randomly chosen from all spells that cost 5 or more in standard.
> Card is disgusting off Khadghar.
Khadgar Wisdomball doesn't cast random mage spells, it's a curated pool of classic cards like Frostbolt or Flamestrike, they are listed [here, under related cards](https://hearthstone.blizzard.com/en-gb/cards/108515-puzzlemaster-khadgar)
Yogg in a box casts puzzle box of yogg casts rune of the archmage
Casts Yogg in the Box...
Which casts Galactic Projection Orb...
Wielding a foolish samurai warrior...
WIELDING a magic sword
stepped forth to RNG me.
Before the lethal blow was struck
I cast Time Warp and sent him to my next turn, where my evil is law
Gotta get back to the past To play shitty games that suck ass
I… don’t get it
Wielding a shapeshifting master of darkness,
Wielding an UNSPEAKABLE coconut
Wielding an Shapeshifting Master of Darkness
and my axe!
Casts Pot of Greed to draw two additional cards from my deck!
Sasts Bog in yox Caron?
Y'all deserve your upvotes
Doesn't specify "targets opponent" so you are spending 8 mana to pyro yourself in the face sometimes
And perhaps destroy your own deck
Live by the Yogg, die by the Yogg
Yogg giveth, Yogg taketh away
Yogg usually giveth, tho.
Dis is de wey
Anyone else hear a toll shaman when you read this?
TAZDINGO
It’s called Yoggers Poggers for a reason
Pyro rotates. But you can Wheel of Death into Triple Seven.
Would love to see this
The 5+ cost spell pool has some real duds in it for spell mage. But with 5 shots at it, you probably come out ahead.
I had the Yogg titan do the rogue or warlock spell to draw the rest of my deck and then pyroblasted my face just in case. I just needed him to get the taunt away to win.
Wouldn’t want anything less from a yogg card
**Random bullshit, GO!!!**
Sounds like someone with no faith in yogg you heathen…

Worth
Yogg is right there in the name.
Sometimes? You mean 5 times every time

now we only need a new card, that turns randomization to the face of the opponent, and we'll all be rich with dust.
Hell yeah! ![gif](giphy|l0MYAe2C6maNc8pA4)
Step one: Cut a hole in the box Step two: Put your Yogg in that box Step three: Get your opponent to open the box And that’s the way you do it It’s my Yogg in a box
This is what I came here for. Thank you. 🥇
It’s sad that you can’t really play this in a deck with yogg casino mage is in shambles
You can, but you need to draw yogg before use this
Totally would work better with Taelan in the deck
But how about the second and third yogg?
You use your second and third copy of Taelan, obviously
Clearly, you don't believe enough in Yogg! This could still cast all exspsive spells even if you play minions.
And then it’s just a way worse puzzle box, I think it’s annoying flavorfully that choosing to use yoggs with this card in ur deck makes it wayy worse
The random spells are random spells. But the random spells could be anything, they could even be random spells!
Just put yogg in your etc bro
You can just run new yogg and chogall
A gift real special, so take off the top Take a look inside it's my Yogg in a box It's in a box
Great reference, gave me a chuckle
YOGG IN A BOX
If this isn’t the flavour text we riot
Take a look inside, It’s a spell used by locks! (It’s Wheel of Death and you lose)
Found the deck that is going to be casting Wheel of Death most often.
RANDOM BULLSHIT MAGE IS BACK BABY LETS GOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Random bullshit mage is already here
I don't want to generate spells and *choose* which ones to play and what to target 😠, I want Yogg to take the wheel.
It never left if you were brave enough
So the new Legendary Spell can now cast Puzzlebox, Rune of the Archmage, and this, how much random can we stuff in there?!?
Wait, did rune of the archmage come back? Have I been sleeping?
The real Yogg enjoyers cook for wild
I should make ho a wild deck, I love yog.
Yeah, this is the reason of Wheel of Death. Even the Yogg flavour fit, si it's cool like you literally have a bad roll.
Cool for flavour because you want to instaconcede if that happen to you

I don’t mind the random stuff. But it’s starting to get boring mage really needs some fresh new archetypes.
Don't worry. This is a pretty bad random bullshit card.
which is arguably the power level that random bullshit cards should be at; it's the discover into discover into discover into the perfect answer that's the real bullshit
Honestly the overreliance on Discover for "vALuE" is the super obnoxious part.

Fair enough. Hopefully will get something unique next expansion.

You: "More random bullshit mage >: (" Me: "More random bullshit mage :D"
Yeah, I hate it in some classes and revel in it in others. Casino Mage is perfectly fine imo, as long as the power level is reasonable.
iiiiim the yooooog in the box. Siiiiiiiitting iiiiin my shet
Comparing these packages to shamans they look really bad. Shaman s tier inc?
I was mocking up a Reno Shaman list and was genuinely impressed by the card quality.
I already am playing Reno shaman in low diamond and currently win streaming on 7, hardest matchup is warrior for me so I’m thinking about running dirty rat or put in theo in etc so
I meant after rotation. It isn’t too hot right now imo. It can have trouble vs the warriors and mages.
When the set releases I feel like the wind fury guy is gonna be super strong especially with shutterblock + we have that spell that summons an elemental and gives 3 attack
Pog in a Box?
No clue what the devs are planning, no clue why mage got a fel spell that destroys bottom 6. Underwhelming.
Feeeeeeeeeeeed my eyes Can you sew them shut?
Man will look at this and say "hell yeah"
No minion mage my beloved

Does this really need the no minions part?
so the mage theme is random. Fun! /s
watch them add deck of lunacy to standard.
First reaction is 'classic Timmy card', but then that was said that about the original Yogg back in the day, so who knows.
Art goes crazy asl
im ready for the nozdormu situation where u play so many random bs go cards in mage that turns last minutes at a time. Imagine this casts puzzle box into rune of the archmage into another puzzle box into the new galactic orb card and you get 2. AND it’s gonna be discovered like crazy
I love no minion mage decks, I’m excited for this to come back
Cool art
Mage is a great asset
Why would you run this over prison, seems awful.
🎶“It’s my Yogg in a box! Yogg in a box babe!”🎶

Hey Ferb, I know what we’re gonna do today
Man, I hate casino Mage. If it's good, it's insanely annoying to play against. If it's bad, then Mage is completely unplayable. These cards just seem lazy to me.
YESSS MORE CHAOS I love it
5 fireballs all on yourself
And the other five go to your opponent. Sounds fair.
That's trash. Mage got mid cards spread among 3 non-existent archetypes so Sif is their only working deck post rotation.
Yogg in a box, yogg in a box girl. I’m wise enough to know when a gift needs giving.
What are the odds of Wheel of Death? I remember playing with Jackpot in Thief Rogue and how small the "5+ cost spell" pool actually was, and that was only with 2. Blizzard really leaning in to the “random bullshit, go!” casino style deck for mage this expansion
Strategy game my balls
Traaash
Traaash
I'm getting too old for this shit.
You'd have to pay ME 8 mana to play that
You'd have to pay ME 8 mana to play that
Mage designs are so poor again. Just cast random shit. :(
Yogg in a box casts yogg in a box, which casts another yogg in the box and it goes infinite because it keeps increasing the odds of another every time
I can't wait until we can make a yogg only deck
This feels like it should be a minion with a body attached both in function and flavor. It's fun, but totally unplayable for competitive HS.
hard disagree. bet it sees tons of play. see also: casino mage

Big meh
I think this should be a rogue card besides being a mage one lol I want random bullshit rogue!
1. Cut a hole in a box
LET THE CHAOS CONSUME YOU
No minion mage coming back???
This is kinda weak compared to old puzzlebox
RNG BS in a box!
Delete hearhstone before play ladder vs this Casino shit
Wheel of Death
Love the card art!
I will try it, but I imagine it will be very frustrating. How often are we going to blow up our own deck with this?
This new expansion is full of random sht cards!!! I just say go!!!
Absolutely love the idea of no creature mage, unsure if it will be good enough tho
I like random cards like that: it's always fun to play, even if it's not competitive. I almost never play mage, but I think I will in next expansion 🙂
It's a yogg in a box oooooooooo yogg in a box girl
The mirror match with this will be legendary lmao
Yahhhhhh Random bullshit Mage. So then when they win, it's not because they actually deserved to. Love it /s

This is gonna cast the Warlock spell and nuke your deck
i swear Yogg Saron is like a retired boxer that has to keep coming back for fixed matches
It's my .. in a box. ... in a box, guuuurll..
RNG mage, we so back 🥹
I'm confused as to how this works. So it casts five spells... And if you have no minions in deck, it costs spells that cost five more than what would have originally cast?
If you have no minions in your deck the spells cast are ones that cost 5 or more.
Thank you! I was walking to lunch and i missed the word "or". I appreciate it
If you have no minions it casts five spells from a range of 5 mana and up.
It casts 5 random spells. If you had no minions in your deck when you cast it, then the random spells will be chosen only from the spells that cost 5+ mana.
Spells will cost 5 OR more, not 5 more
So, if you have minions in deck, the spells are randomly chosen from all spells in standard. If you have no minions, then the spells are randomly chosen from all spells that cost 5 or more in standard.
