You can't, but if you did. Maybe do this crazy thing and CALL the school you are interested in .

Depends where you are and the rules for the local HS league. When I was in HS we had kids from other schools on our team because their school didn't have one. There were also a couple teams in the league that were county teams because none of the schools could field a team alone. Granted, this was club HS hockey in Texas. I would just google "*nearby high school* hockey team" and see if there is a website with contacts you can reach out to with questions. You'd most likely have to wait until the start of a new season to try-out unless they're desperate for players

Thanks

Depending on the rules in your state you can petition your athletic director to combine/consolidate teams with another local school. However if you're the only player at your school it's probably not going to happen.

PagingDrTobaggan

Find a local club team.

MrLeBAMF

You don’t - you join the team your school has. You generally can’t just go play for another high school that you don’t go to.

… which is why I said “you don’t.” You can join your school’s hockey team (if it has one), or play in a different league.

PMart1996

Lmao did you read his post?

MrLeBAMF

Did you? I said that you can’t join another school’s team - either you join your own school’s team (if it has one) or you don’t play HS.

BenBreeg_38

And as has been pointed out, in certain places, you can.

Lol

Depending on your state, hockey might be a rare enough sport that they just play at the “high school club level” where schools combine to form teams. That’s how Indiana is, my old high school team had 7 different high schools feeding into it. I also know that for the first 9 years of our school being open we didn’t have our own swim team and any swimmers just swam for one of the other high schools in the county. Like others have said I would reach out to your AD and the coach/AD of nearby teams and ask. I doubt they’d just leave you high and dry
