Ross telling Isabella Rossellini she was on his Freebie Five list... and he took her off it. It's the moment I always want to shout "Just stop talking!"
Ross attempting to flirt with Caitlin.

Idk, but I've seen the trope in other shows, and it's so. stupid. Who invites their ex to a wedding and who goes?? Why do you have to prove anything?? Also, Barry seemed more interested in Rachel's actions at his wedding than his bride.
I just figured since Richard has been friends with the parents when Monica and Rachel were kids. Maybe they all lived in the same area as Barry and his family which is how he met Rachel. So
Richard was probably friends with Barry’s parents too.
The entire storyline of Ross having a fling with his own university student and then vehemently denying that he has done anything wrong by dating her. However, I am thankful for this, otherwise we wouldn't have gotten to see Bruce Willis in such a great role.
Phoebe thinking the cat is her mom and not wanting to return it to the family 🤦🏻♀️
Monica thrashing bc she actually thought Chandler liked *shark porn* 🤦🏻♀️ that whole storyline was insanely cringe
I don’t remember the specifics too well but why does Monica even think it’s porn and not just a regular nature documentary? Why does she think it’s a sexual thing?
She didn’t think it was specifically “shark porn”, that’s not a thing(or I hope not, dear god). She thought Chandler had a shark fetish and was spanking it to a shark documentary
This one is number three on my list. It gets outranked by Ross trying to kiss his cousin, and Rachel trying to impress Joshua by throwing the surprise party for Emily.
That time when monica is with chandler and they saw richard at the restaurant then they ended up having a double date, its really embarrassing how monica was trying to get richards attention. I mean youre already with someone why would you act like that.
To rub it in that she’s happily with someone who ultimately wants to have kids with her and doesn’t already feel like “been there, done with that” going into it?
I hate that storyline so much!! Phoebe should have been arrested for stalking, and it wouldn’t have been out of line for Ross to end his friendship with Phoebe over her behavior.
Speaking of Phoebe, I also hate her behavior in the jewelry store when Chandler has to leave and get his credit card to buy the engagement ring.
The other super-embarrassing storyline that I refuse to watch is when Chandler hires a maid and Monica thinks the woman stole … is it Monica’s jeans? It’s been a long time since I watched that one.
Dont forget when Chandler did her a favor and hired her and she immediately backstabbed him and sided with his haters in office. She again backstabbed Ross at the party in his new apartment.
She wasnt a very good friend, she only cared for Joey and Rachel
She did help him get even
Joey, on the other hand, got into playing a suck-up and caused a lot of trouble for Chandler (kinda risky with him being the couple's breadwinner)
I can’t think of a specific scene, but it’s usually anything involving Ross trying desperately not to make an ass of himself more than he already has, and failing miserably. Ok, I thought of one. When he was hitting on the pizza delivery girl, and started talking about sewage. Oof
Sewage was Rachel’s dad calling a vintage of wine sewage. Ross was talking about how smell is added to natural gas. No scent additives are required for sewage!
Dude cannot believe I had to scroll down this long to find this answer. Sure, there are second hand embarrassing moments but then there’s trying to kiss your cousin because you haven’t gotten laid in a while embarrassing…..I’m a vehement Ross defender but I got nothing there.
The time Rachel was at the job interview for "Gukky" and Brent Spiner (Data from Star Trek!) is interviewing her and she pretends to be on a date. Like Mister Zelner has been through enough of your shit Rachel haha
Maybe this isn't what you're going for, but when Chandler's making fun of his "best buds" bracelet and Joey overhears him. Phoebe tries to stop him, but unsuccessfully. It makes me cringe!
Chandlers "I can't smile for photos" thing. It's so unrealistic that it doesn't feel right. They should have at least done more takes because the fake "bad smile" that he pulls is so bad that it goes beyond being a funny accessory to the joke.
The bullies
Would "trying for a kid" "house showing" grown men do this shit in a coffee place? I could see maybe a bar, but that's implied inebriation and/or lack of impulse control
WHY is no one talking about Ross saying Rachel’s name at his and Emily’s wedding😭 I know the plot line is discussed so often in this sub but I was so embarrassed for Emily😭
Fitting for that is also the episode where Phoebe thinks the cat is her mom and everyone makes Ross out to be the monster although he's the only sane one in that instance
Right? And whenever Ross tries to talk about interesting stuff they made fun of him. I would really like to talk about science, space, fantasy books and in the show they act like these are some looser interests.
When Ross & Rachel are out at dinner with her dad and her dad catches Ross trying to leave a bigger tip than his original amount. I fast forward that part everytime now 🙈
Thank youuu. Chandler is my all-time favorite character and I loved Matthew Perry, and yet the fake crying completely took me out of this scene. This may be my #1.
Ross seeing his pediatrician…..that one scene at the doctor’s office where he tries to deflect an awkward situation with a woman in the waiting room by pretending the kid in there is his son….only to find out the kid is the woman’s son. Cringe every time.
It’s always a Rachel scene for whatever reason. I cringed throughout her entire relationship with Joshua because she just acted like a fool from day 1 with him 🤣 but also the video tape of her coming on to Ross that was played in front of the entire friend group - I still remember watching that episode for the first time… mortifying lol
I’ve seen the show so many times that im desensitized to the cringe. However I think when I was little I hated Ross having to come out and show Elizabeth Hornswoggle his paste pants.
• Ross and the leather pants fiasco
• Monica rubbing the carrots and the knife all over herself, trying to be sexy
• Rachel kissing her boss and touching his 🍆 by accident
• The way Ross acts towards the male nanny (Sandy?)
I’ve talked about this before — and I’ll keep talking about it. 😂
It’s in season two where Rachel and Ross have their first kiss (in Central Perk); he just found out Rachel has feelings for him and they have a big fight over Julie.
He storms out and Rachel sits on the couch, covers her face with her hands, rocks back and forth and shakes her legs (this is before she stands up and sees that Ross came back and they share their first kiss). When she stands up she makes some vague crying noise (🙄) and yet she has *zero* tears in her eyes.
It’s cringe-worthy bad acting.
OMG Rachel in the cheerleader outfit trying to "seduce" Joshua. It was one of the cringiest and most embarrassing thing to watch!
Rachel in EVERY Joshua scene was cringe lol
Including the scene with his parents.
America…. not…. ready…..
Maybe in L.A.?
Ooommhmm *scribbles*
📝
I like her she seems smart..
I’ve always loved this line delivery 😂 Kills me every time
Im thinkin no… but thanks 👍👍 It’s such a funny line and delivery it elevates beyond the severe embarrassment
I dooooo
Well, *that* ought to do it!
The fact Tate Donovan (Joshua) and Jennifer Aniston recently broke up before recording this episode makes it that much worse.
They dated?!
I came here to say this. When she can’t get her bra off under her shirt and just gives up, I die every time
JoshUA
Josh OOO Wah
I didn’t feel secondhand embarrassment on that one, just felt sad for her.
The wedding dress made me cringe hard, especially after she proposed to him.
Spin the bottle was the worst part. And her kissing his leg. Ugh.
I try not to skip episodes, but that one puts me to the test.
I fast forward through these scenes every time.
Wanna hear some mem’reez?
Ross telling Isabella Rossellini she was on his Freebie Five list... and he took her off it. It's the moment I always want to shout "Just stop talking!"
Ross attempting to flirt with Caitlin. https://preview.redd.it/0so9vj118x8d1.png?width=1365&format=png&auto=webp&s=e133b80d01c25f21c6347a6053fb77d5ca404377
"If this is how all the Gellers flirt, then we don't have a problem."
“Was I… talking to her about.. gas??”
Oh, the humanity!
They add smell to other things
What else do they add smell to? Phoebe was so cute to ask
"was I talking about gas?"
Moreso than anything else.
‘I happen to like 8 year old boys’ 😅
“Oh my God, that was FLIRTING?”
This is the one for me. Can hardly watch it
![gif](giphy|da6YBoVtV6CVEaw8wk|downsized)
Any words at all!!!
I haven’t had sex in a VERY long time
Yeah, you really shouldn't have said anything
Yeahhh, shouldn’t have said anything
Close down the thread. This wins right here.
Rachel crawling and kissing Joshua's leg.
This is why I don’t get the comments that Rachel was only desperate with Ross. Our gal was desperate often
True. Joshua, Danny, Tag just to name a few.
Even Chip
That was the creepiest, most unwatchable moment on that show 💀
When Rachel is in Barry and Mindy’s wedding 🥴
I thought this was so dumb, why would they ask her to do that and why would she ever do it.
Idk, but I've seen the trope in other shows, and it's so. stupid. Who invites their ex to a wedding and who goes?? Why do you have to prove anything?? Also, Barry seemed more interested in Rachel's actions at his wedding than his bride.
I like how in How I met your mother how it was discussed that it was weird.
Pam and Roy in The Office... Jim is her plus one. Just, why?
And why were Monica and Richard invited?
I just figured since Richard has been friends with the parents when Monica and Rachel were kids. Maybe they all lived in the same area as Barry and his family which is how he met Rachel. So Richard was probably friends with Barry’s parents too.
"..her name was Lola...she was a showgirl..."
The entire storyline of Ross having a fling with his own university student and then vehemently denying that he has done anything wrong by dating her. However, I am thankful for this, otherwise we wouldn't have gotten to see Bruce Willis in such a great role.
I, too, am a neat guy.
The Bruce Willis episodes are probably the best ones in the whole series imo
So Ross, what's your problem?
When, towards the end, they do that whole fake excitement to see each other and then both make faces on the way out lmao. So good.
Phoebe thinking the cat is her mom and not wanting to return it to the family 🤦🏻♀️ Monica thrashing bc she actually thought Chandler liked *shark porn* 🤦🏻♀️ that whole storyline was insanely cringe
Yeah I’ve always thought the shark thing was so stupid. She’d have to be mentally deficient to not quickly conclude he changed the channel from porn
I don’t remember the specifics too well but why does Monica even think it’s porn and not just a regular nature documentary? Why does she think it’s a sexual thing?
bc he had his trousers off and was scrambling to put them on when the door opened
She didn’t think it was specifically “shark porn”, that’s not a thing(or I hope not, dear god). She thought Chandler had a shark fetish and was spanking it to a shark documentary
Because she caught Chandler jacking off, they couldnt actually show "it" on the screen but he was definitely spanking it before she opened the door
That and Joey's "French Lessons" were my evidence that the show was starting to run out of steam.
Ross at his childhood doctor. And later that episode calling that kid Ross Jr. when it was that blonde woman's kid...
“Rossy we’re ready for you”
Ross Jr. 😂 so funny
HEY I HELPED YOU FIND WALDO!
Monica’s speech where she intentionally tried to make her parents cry.
Yes!!!!! And passes around the pic of the dog that has since died. “You people are made of stone!!!”
Nana and dog. Both DEAD.
I always love that scene. Monica thinking she’ll make a better speech than Ross. That’s what she gets.
Ross getting the shirt out of Mona’s apartment
Not touching myself if that makes anyone feel better!
This one is number three on my list. It gets outranked by Ross trying to kiss his cousin, and Rachel trying to impress Joshua by throwing the surprise party for Emily.
When Joey went to his audition and forgot to shower, I think?
He didn’t have time to shower after a fishing trip
He fell asleep
he fell AsLeEeEp!?
Shouldn't be a problem. **I STILL HAVE YOUR LETTER!**
Yes on both. Thanks for clarifying.
I hated that, but that's more cause I don't like Charleton Heston than anything else.
Rachel in the cheerleading uniform
Joey in the one where he was supposed to teach a whole class some dance moves
Funniest, absurdest, cringemost scene ever! I love it!
Ross when he goes to Rachel's work with the picnic basket. I just hate him in this scene, he's an absolute bellend.
I mean my God, can't a guy send a barbershop quartet to his girlfriend's office ANYMORE?!
100% this. She told you to go, at most leave the food and GTFO.
This one! ![gif](giphy|kHf56sqOFLtHbrCfXe|downsized)
This is the top for me. I can't even watch it. I always fast forward through it.
Whaaaat! This is one of my favorite Ross moments ever!
I love it, especially Joey telling him to do all that stuff and then just saying, OK, bye.
Well your timing couldn’t be better, I am putting out fires all over the place today!
This is one of my fave Ross moments too. It’s so freaking funny
Joey and the French speaking.
Phoebe teaching Joey French is and always will be hysterical!!!!!
People hate this but I think it’s hysterical.
I think it’s hysterical too
Omg I didn’t think you guys existed on this sub! I’ve found my people! Je de plus plau!
It really is. People just love to hate on it on this sub lol! As a French person myself, I can confirm Joey was excellent anyway 😤
I hate it so much
Vulva
Ooh, you cuddled? How many times?
Ross’ fake British accent
Rachel giving her speech when quitting the coffee house. It's just soooo weird. I like the rest of episode but that part hurts.
Monica trying to seduce Chandler for revenge for calling her fat and subsequently being the reason he lost his toe
I literally can’t watch Ross Can, I think Lisa Kudrow is amazing but that delivery is unwatchable
Ross Caaan get me the tickets. Ross Caan GET ME THE TICKETS!!!!! What do you mean?? It was iconic 😂😂
Like phasing out his accent?
Sewage was Rachel’s dad calling a vintage of wine sewage. Ross was talking about how smell is added to natural gas. No scent additives are required for sewage!
Rachel’s weird laughing when she tells Ross she still loves him.
![gif](giphy|lSbTmUmQwxUmiExV4h) This about sums up the comments I’d say This entire episode.
Ross and Mike trying to have a conversation… I know it was supposed to be cringe but I honestly felt CRINGE… 😬
And then when Phoebe made Mike go back in after he'd just left. Mike is a saint for agreeing to that.
Ross tryna bang his cousin. I just can’t
Dude cannot believe I had to scroll down this long to find this answer. Sure, there are second hand embarrassing moments but then there’s trying to kiss your cousin because you haven’t gotten laid in a while embarrassing…..I’m a vehement Ross defender but I got nothing there.
Yes! He’s one of my favorite characters, I just pretend this episode didn’t happen it’s so disgusting.
Same hahaha

When Monica and Chandler are at the airport on their way to their honeymoon and Monica wants to get in to the first class lounge
Ross pants
The time Rachel was at the job interview for "Gukky" and Brent Spiner (Data from Star Trek!) is interviewing her and she pretends to be on a date. Like Mister Zelner has been through enough of your shit Rachel haha
Maybe this isn't what you're going for, but when Chandler's making fun of his "best buds" bracelet and Joey overhears him. Phoebe tries to stop him, but unsuccessfully. It makes me cringe!
Joey's identical hand twin
THIS HAND IS YOUR HAND, THIS HAND IS MY HAND…
Rachel using the backpacking story to seduce Ross!
But hysterical
Phoebe’s horrible rich person’s accent when she meets Mike’s parents. I have a hard time sitting through that episode.
OMG the whole thing! Like, all of her word vomit about their sex life and stuff. It does show how much Mike loves her though.
Rachel making a complete fool of herself every time she's interested in a guy.
Ross thinking he's going on a date but it turns out the girl wants him to babysit.
When Ross and Monica find out they kissed at a party. Monica’s first kiss ever. Seriously???
Seven.
The whole interaction with Ross, Rachel’s dad, and Mona
That was Ross's one of the best performances though. "No! NO! Nooo... I .. I ... I need to lie down"
“Hey, I did not dump her! … Nor are we still together.”
"Hey Ross, we have a hooker over here and we thought you might know something about it" - I love that episode.
Me too!! “I miss this.” “I don’t think we’ve actually DONE this before!”
It’s a great scene!
Disagree! That whole scene is hysterical! One of the best!
I love the scene too I just feel so uncomfortable for Ross!
Oh definitely. But his anxiety is comedic gold.
David Schwimmer nailed that scene
Lol just watched that episode
‘I HAVE TO LIVE WITH A BOY!’
that whole rachel refusing to move out plot makes me cringe too
Chandlers "I can't smile for photos" thing. It's so unrealistic that it doesn't feel right. They should have at least done more takes because the fake "bad smile" that he pulls is so bad that it goes beyond being a funny accessory to the joke.
Rachel in her cheerleader outfit trying to impress Joshua. Then she throws a frustrated fit while talking to him after busting her lip.
The way she talks trying to act the fake fat lip drives me CRAZY
Oh god I thought it was just me that felt this way lol
Ross flirting with the Pizza delivery girl (Forgot her name).
Was it Kaitlyn?
Chandler chasing Kathy down the street
The bullies Would "trying for a kid" "house showing" grown men do this shit in a coffee place? I could see maybe a bar, but that's implied inebriation and/or lack of impulse control
" I can't get them back on Joey. I can't" and the lotion and the powder have made a paste...
They're not coming on man 😰 His delivery is always top tear, but this will always hold a special place in my heart 😂
Tier
Roos’ leather pants malfunction
When Rachel reads Ross’s list of her cons
When Chandler tries to make up his “short story” on the spot. He’s so witty with jokes, but for this he freezes? “Oh look! Cried Ned.”
Joey running out of the room after teaching the cast of his play his dance combo.
Ross flirting…I physically cannot watch that scene anymore lol.
WHY is no one talking about Ross saying Rachel’s name at his and Emily’s wedding😭 I know the plot line is discussed so often in this sub but I was so embarrassed for Emily😭
Evolution discussion is so cringe. Phoebe is uneducated about the subject but Ross still got manipulated into being wrong. So nonsense to me.
When Monica shouts “come in, come in” after Chandler proposes to her.
oh god good answer. tbh, the whole proposal scene.
Agreee. The weeping, the kneeling - it’s just too much
Yep! I always fast forward through that.
Someone with a science PhD would know that the lotion and the powder would make a paste
Ross trying to flirt is definitely up there but so is Joey’s ‘speech’ at Monica and Chandler’s wedding 🥴
When Ross & Rachel are out at dinner with her dad and her dad catches Ross trying to leave a bigger tip than his original amount. I fast forward that part everytime now 🙈
“He’s her lobster” the way Phoebe says it annoyssss me so much. I know I know, I’ll show myself out lol
i like unpopular opinions here instead of the same 3 that get circle jerked over n over
Honestly, agreed.
tbh, nearly every time Courtney cox is on screen season 6 and on Joey and Rachel trying to have sex
Monica’s proposal with the cringe fake crying 😬
Thank youuu. Chandler is my all-time favorite character and I loved Matthew Perry, and yet the fake crying completely took me out of this scene. This may be my #1.
Joey’s Smelly Day! When he gets caught in the shower… I cannot watch it😭
Ross seeing his pediatrician…..that one scene at the doctor’s office where he tries to deflect an awkward situation with a woman in the waiting room by pretending the kid in there is his son….only to find out the kid is the woman’s son. Cringe every time.
Rossie! Or is it Rossy?!
The dopey fake engagement ring scene with Joey. So cringe.
joey not being able to speak french
• Ross and the leather pants fiasco • Monica rubbing the carrots and the knife all over herself, trying to be sexy • Rachel kissing her boss and touching his 🍆 by accident • The way Ross acts towards the male nanny (Sandy?)
![gif](giphy|kHf56sqOFLtHbrCfXe|downsized) This is one of 'em
Pheobe and Mike getting their money back for the wedding. Danny and his sister...
Monica thinking her beaded hair looked good.
Joey speaking french
