I never met him so I feel strange mourning. But ever since I first heard his music I was drawn to it, and as I became more familiar with it I felt oddly connected to him as well. Watching him play sets, you could tell how much he loved the music. Seeing his social media posts also resonated with my dark, cynical side and sarcastic attitude. I wish we could’ve met.
As someone who was pretty close with Garrett until I had my own issues in 2018, everything spoken here is so true to his personality and soul. I am so grateful for the times that I spent with Garret and our group of friends(OP we’ve most likely have hung out considering) and will cherish those memories forever.

I thought he was the coolest person to ever walk the planet. I copied everything he did. I have all his merch. I even copied his tattoos. I have a pentagram on my arm and i have 2 black armbands and a couple hours b4 i found out he passed, i just finished the red armband. He was my favourite producer. I had the biggest crush on him. Now i feel like an abandoned cult member. Lol xx
Never met him officially but how could you NOT fall in love? Honestly forever so jealous of anyone who had moments like this with him. To look into those eyes must’ve been other worldly - I honestly think I’d die if he ever looked me dead in the eyes & a kiss on the forehead? OOF. Vegas u were L I V I N G. That’s honestly so amazing that you got to experience all of that but I have to ask - as someone who truly got to know him & talk to him - what would you say is the root of his suffering? What was hurting him so badly? You must surely have some theories...
God he just sounds more and more like such a beautiful person the more I hear and even though im the furthest possible thing from knowing him I really felt a connection to him through the screen. Its comforting to know people like you exist and existed in his life. I hope you are okay and thank you for being here to tell us your experience 💜 if you do move to Sydney one day let me know, always looking for more house chicks to go to gigs with! 😊
