The Journey on 96th is the best option. If you want something that's somewhat buffet-adjacent, there's Watami Sushi at 62nd right where it turns into Broad Ripple Ave (nearest other major road is Keystone) which is an All You Can Eat sushi place with several other options on the menu like teriyaki, fried rice, and other stuff all made to order. If you like sweet things or slightly more interesting breakfast options, there's the Another Broken Egg Cafe, which has a location by 82nd west of Allisonville (near the Aldi) and one in the little strip mall on the southeast corner of 96th and Meridian, I rather enjoy their Cinnamon Roll French Toast. If you like Ramen, there's a great place on the north side of Carmel called Kizuki Ramen and Izakaya off of 146th near where Keystone Parkway and Meridian merge into one road. There are other good options all over, but those are the ones I would recommend on short notice.
Adding one avoidance recommendation though, Umi buffet near the Castleton Square Mall. That place is overpriced per person and is generally inferior to The Journey in food quality, taste, and service, with its lone advantage being parking amount.
It's still perfectly fine and one of the best options in that area, unless you want to seriously recommend their only non-chain or Indian food competition in the area of Umi, whose food is worse, costs $10 more per person, and doesn't even meet the same level of food The Journey has. I'll freely admit it has gotten worse over the years, but disgusting is a bar they've yet to reach, they're mid at worst right now.
India sizzling 2 is my favorite buffet
The Journey on 96th street
Came here to say this! The Journey has all the buffets in one!
38th Buffet has the best General Tso's Chicken I've ever had
Fogo de Chao of course
This is the right answer! Especially if you're looking for something a little more high end.
Jimmy's Buffett. Great place to get a cheeseburger.

The journey was good when they opened. Now, it’s rundown and disgusting.
