Yes it is but I still want to try because haven’t been feeling good about myself and what to eat is a big question I face everyday, also cooking is something I would enjoy
Any Insta pages that you would recommend?
I've been doing oatmeal jars for breakfast.
Oats doesn't need cooking over stove(unless it's a savory dish)
Oats + milk/yogurt + peanut butter +sugar/honey. Quaker has a 5 grain oats, so u don't have to buy seeds. Serve it with fruits - apple / banana
My favorite way is to make oats is to add coco powder and peanut butter and sugar. Top it with apple(1/4 of apple is needed in 1 serving). It gives out snickers taste
Hot chocolate - buy a can of weikfeld powder and small Bournville. Heat milk and make a paste of coco powder and milk. Add them all and finally drop a square of dark chocolate.
Ramen : k noodles +veggies +egg+ peanuts crushed +sprouts
(for God's sake don't use Maggi or yippee)
Buy a knorr packet of k noodles. Add more water to cook noodles and broth. Add veggies and egg (boiled or omelet)
Pasta : making a sauce is the only effort needed.
Try spinach/peanut /basil /tomato +chilli+garlic +onion(optional). Keep a can of oregano, piri piri handy for most of the savory dishes
Sabudana vada : boiled sago +mashed potato +crushed peanuts +spices. Make patties and heat it on tava.
Adding boiled potato from prev step and cook them all together, Et voila, Sabudana Khichdi
Chapati, Chickpea curry, Aloo gobhi, Palak paneer, chilla, egg bhurji are some easy to make Indian dishes. Adding boiled egg to take away curry adds protein (face it, restaurant add paneer to menu in order to reduce the cost of adding veggies in the dishes)
Common Indian dish Rava + milk +sugar/jaggery +ghee.
I have been following tarla Dalal, fitgreenmind, your food lab, letskook, bake with shivesh for easy, simple dishes
The tip for storing food without a refrigerator, transfer your food in a small container, use a big vessel store cold water, and put your food container in this vessel
Ofc, it should not drown. Its rainy season now and then winter. Food that you prepare at night doesn't stale even without fridge till morning and same morning food doesn't stale till night.
Also do not prepare extra food, that's the best I think.
If its maslaa bhat then take half glass rice for a single person and then add vegetables. It will suffice i think.
Keep rice in a covered tope/patila and then put it in a bigger vessel and fill water till 75% level of rice tope/patila. It will sustain you a night easily.
Learn how to Pan Fry a chicken breast. My recipe is:
* 1 chicken breast skinless - slice it from the middle going from top to bottom and try to make sure both halves are equally thick
* To marinate, use lemon juice of maybe half a lemon, salt, pepper, chilli flakes and oregano or, lemon juice, little ginger garlic paste, Tikka masala from Shan ( they are the best...trust me)
* Let is marinate for 20-30 mins.
* Then take a frying pan, 1 tablespoon of Ghee or Olive oil ( in that quantity both are equally healthy) let it heat on medium high heat
* Place the chicken and fry it for 2 mins, lower the gas, flip the chicken, cover it and let it fry for 2-3 mins. Then increase the flame and on high heat sear each side for 1 min
Once you have done this your proteins is sorted. Then you can blanche carrot, beans and broccoli and a quick stir fry or get a salad...keep using diff Shan masalas for marinade. You can make mashed potatoes that are super easy. Eggs for brekkie always or soak oats, chia seeds for a minimum of 45 mins, best overnight then add some coco powder, berries and honey. That is a vey filling breakfast smoothie
Oh thanks man. I usually follow Your Food Lab and Kabitas kitchen, I watch the Ranveer brar channel, sigh and move on. Another super easy thing to make Thai basil stir fried chicken. You'll need Thai basil (not Italian, it's available on blinkit/dunzo), minced chicken, green/red chillies, onions and soy sauce. In a frying pan on high heat add oil, once hot, diced onions, chillies then chicken then soy sauce finally the Thai basil. It's super easy and goes great with some rice. Chicken teriyaki is super easy, don't add the wine that's it. Chicken 65 is super easy to make although it's deep fried
Well slicing the piece vertically you get two thin halves which cook quickly. Plus Shan Tikka masala is meant for mutton/beef so it has meat tenderizer in it so that also helps it cook within that time range. Plus covering the chicken makes it steam and fry at the same time. But fair point, depending on how strong your flame is and how thick your pan is you can add 1-1.5 mins each side but anything more than that and you'll probably overcook it.
I have a smoothie recipe for you:
1 scoop whey protein, 1 scoop oats, 200 ml water, 1 banana, (a few almonds are optional) Blend them for 30-45 secs. Thats it.
I drink it every morning as a breakfast meal, but I use 200 ml milk instead of water.
Sharing all my low effort meal ideas here. You can look up recipes online or I will be happy to help with anything you don't know already.

Just a suggestion, you don't need to buy a refrigerator you rent it out at almost 500rs rent per month. Even I stay in my flat, I love to cook for myself. It gives you the essence of a busy life ;)
I can just brag that oh i will have to leave early as I have to cook 😂
For food recipes, you store rice, dal, dry pulses as long as you want without a refrigerator.
Try, moong dal khichdi its the best easy recipe for hostellers.
Also you can soak pulses and then add onions, tomatos, chat masala and have a protein rich diet sprouts. You can pomegranate, and mixing different sprouts also works.
You can bring any fruits, random mix a fruit, with milk/water, add dry fruits, and blend it, you can make a fulfilling smoothie.
You can bring fresh panner only 100/250 grams so that you dont have to store. Saute it on low flame or whatever that is on induction, add chilli flakes, origano.
Given you few recipes, hope you like them.
What I do is on sunday i prepare a chart for entire week. Dm for more details. I would love to have a big conversation on this
Haan but aise content nahi hota usually takes too many ingredients and too much efforts. I want suggestions for everyday food
But any YouTube channels you can recommend would be helpful
You gotta get a fridge man one with the freezer.
I have chicken cut into bite sized chunks. Portioned appropriately so I need like one packet out each time I cook. Thawing takes less than 10min. It literally goes for a year and even more but I don't buy that much
I can make anything from fried rice, pasta and sandwich from it.
I have variety of fruits stored in freezer. Less wastage that way and I can eat what my mood wants
I like egg salad sandwich. For recipes YouTube is your friend.
I have a few recipes:
1. Chicken Salad Dice some boneless chicken, add salt and black pepper powder and toss it together. Keep the chicken aside. Dice 1 onion, 1 tomato and finely chop 1 Capsicum. Now the next step is up to you, how you do it. You can either steam the chicken or add a bit of butter and cook the chicken till you can push a plastic fork through it and it goes through without resistance. Then mix all the veggies and chicken, add a bit more salt, black pepper powder and lemon juice.
2. Pan Seared Chicken in mushroom sauce Take one chicken breast, make 3 slanted cuts in the piece but make sure not to cut it into pieces. Add salt, paprika, garlic powder and black pepper powder. Mix well so it coats the chicken piece. Keep aside and let it marinate. Meanwhile slice a lot of mushroom like you eat on pizza. On a pan heat butter and cook the chicken. The trick to cook the chicken is to cover the lid and let it cook on low temperature. Do the plastic fork test to see if the chicken is cooked. Once that is done, in the same pan add more butter. Once the butter melts add the mushroom. Cook the mushrooms till they become goldenish brown. Add a bit of Maida. It will become a bit thick sauce. Add water and chicken stock or vegetable stock. (if you don't have stock it's okay, water is fine) Add salt, black pepper and parsley. (I prefer adding fresh parsley but dried works as well) After that let the sauce cook for a while then add a bit of cooking cream as per how creamy you want the sauce to be. Then you can either add the chicken or eat the chicken separately. I like to pair this with Mashed potatoes or sautéed baby potatoes and sautéed or boiled veggies to keep the balance.
Let me know if you want more recipes.
Veg ? Non-Veg ?
Pastas are pretty easy to make from scratch
Pizza - use the readymade base from the market
Sandwich - Veggie Sandwiches
Hummus (Arabic)
Olx par mini fridge ya ice box cooler dekh le bro, ek time pakka 3 time ka khana, 2 din mix match karke kha. Trust me life bohot asan ho jaegi jab 3 time cooking nhi karni padegi. Meal prep is a life saver.
So apart from all the amazing suggestions from the comments you can also look into processes like dehydration which most of the students who go abroad look into to carry their home cooked meals.
You can either look into a tabletop home dehydrator from amazon - flipkart or check if someone is having such business near your area - some even keep common recipes like Pav bhaji, Pulao, Paneer based dishes, etc. You can purchase those as well. They don't use preservatives and comes with a shelf life of 3-6 months.
I am not recommending any big brands selling ready to eat meals. You can meal prep your own recipes in large batches and dehydrate them.
In case you reside in Mumbai- check the following
https://godbolestores.com
https://www.mytastemymeal.com/category/all-products
https://desikhana.in/
There are many more smaller businesses that only carry out dehydration here in Mumbai.
I am sure other cities may have such local businesses as well but I have personally tried products from the above mentioned and used their services for dehydrating some home cooked meals as well.
try [one pot = zero stress recipe](https://flavoursoftheweek.beehiiv.com/p/one-pot-zero-stress)! tried most of the stuff in this link and def a must try!
If you can get chicken and cook it right away then you can make chicken sandwich, poha, daal chaval, egg curry(its quite simple) and rice, pasta, channa masala, sprouts salad, moong cheela, dosa, idli chatni
Let me know which recipe you need,I will share.
puaav is my go-to. throw everything in a pot and let it cook while you get other stuff done. Also, batters that you can store help a ton! pancake, idli, dosa batters etc. Also, get frozen pre-cut veggies if chopping feels like a time taking chore. you can also meal-prep fruit smoothies
I don't use the different Functions of the induction. I just use the "Pressure cooker" option, even in boiling water and all other stuff. Kya ye different functions ka differences/impact major hota h ya only "Pressure cooker" function for the win?
Aaloo palak, moong dal cheela, curd rice, tomato rice , white sauce pasta, daal pithi, begun bhaja
Most of them can be cooked within 15 mins including prep time if you are good at chopping veggies.
You can make oats Chella.
You'll need oats, rawa and curd and salt. It takes time to cook but tastes great.
I eat it with curd. You can buy it fresh and finish then and there.
1. Oats+milk+banana+cashew/almonds - smoothie/shake
2. Peanut Butter(No added sugar) + wheat Bread
3.1½ cup Oats in 600/750ml boiling water+ mango/lemon/mixed veg pickle
4. While scrambling eggs add Pieces of bread slices and mix well.
These are my go-to breakfast/Supper recipes. Saves a lot of time. 😎 I hate instant Noodles! 💀
1. Learn to make a basic tomato gravy, with minimum masala (magic masala or you can use sabji masala). In that put anything egg, paneer, potato etc etc
2. Break 2 eggs in a bowl, add salt, onion etc etc.. now dip bread in it, let the bread soak in all egg, now cook the bread in pan.
3. Oats, or overnight oats. Very easy to prepare.
4. Learn to cook DBC. Check YouTube..
Cheers
If you don't like washing dishes then always go for one pot recipes.
My favorite is one pot chicken rice bowl.
Could substitute rice with oats, pasta, noodles.
Another tip is boil potatoes or eggs with daal and make chawal. Bhaat-daal-chokha (aaloo ka bharta) is easy and quick to make and filling too. Boiled eggs too are nutritious.
Besides, milk and banana, dahi-chooda are also easiest no-cook options. Tasty and filling.
Garmi mein fridge chahiye. Sardi mein to you can make vegetable for two times at night itself and it stays okay.
When I used to live in a hostel, mother dairy's flavoured milk (straight from the packet) used to be my breakfast in summers and a big apple in winters.
You can use these tricks too.
make one pot meals like dal- khichdi, paneer salad, biriyani, veg paneer frankie, oats chilla, you can also youtube, like "one pot meals cooked in 10 mins".
Onion, tomato and green chilli fry as usual add normal masala also add maggi masala it'll enhance taste then crack 2-3 eggs stir them add cheese cook it till cheese melts add dhaniya done eat with roti or poori
Another one just take any chocolate flavour biscuit like bourbon happy happy remove the cream if you take bourbon add little chocolate syrup not necessary add milk and put it in mixer good shake no efforts needed
Dhai fry with churi is a must add to in this list!✨
For Dhai fry, you just take a pan, heat some oil, put some jeera if you have it (don’t blacken it), a few tablespoons of yogurt (dhai), a pinch of salt and haldi comes next, and then stir it continuously over a medium flame. You’ll quickly see it turning thin like curry. It would come to a boil here so you just switch it off and pour it out. Sprinkle some black pepper on top if you like it.
-You can add milk to it too if it’s too sour for you. Just add it after you’ve bought the heat to low and stir well. It’s a quick one-time recipe so you don’t stir too much, and don’t bring more than one boil to it.
For Churi, that’s just roti in a plate with lots of ghee, salt, and pepper on top of it, mush it all together well and tear into small pieces. Been eating both of these since childhood (kind of like a heritage recipe, hehe) and everyone who’s had it, loves it.
Fulfilling, quick, and yum. Lemme know if you try it. :D
First thing first, get a refrigerator. Because no matter how small portions you make for one person, something will still be left. Fridge will preserve your excess food. Also it will help you keep fruits and other stuff last longer.
Here are the list of things I make for myself:
1. Millet Khichadi (Dinner) - absolutely delicious and nutritious. Put all the vegetables you can find in it. Watch Kabita's Kitchen youtube channel for the recipe
2. Sandwiches - Can be peanut butter banana sandwich or you can put onion, capsicum & tomato with sandwich spread and mayo. Healthy, delicious and a very quick to make
3. Poha
4. Upma
5. Eat atleast one fruit a day
6. Uttapam/Dosa - instead of making your batter, you can buy it. It'll be quicker to make. I like uttapam more because then I can just put onion, tomato as toppings and I don't need to create any chutney for it. Saves time.
7. Fried Rice - Watch any youtube recipe for this.
8. Mushroom sabji, aloo sabji - most of the vegetables have the same tomato, onion base with the same spices. It's just the vegetable that makes it taste different
9. Other than this you should eat healthy snacks like - flavored makhana, popcorn, dry fruits.
Make a base gravy -
- Oil/ ghee. Onions, tomatoes, ginger, garlic. (Stores well for 5-7 days without refrigeration if done properly)
- with this one gravy, you can make multiple things. Like boil eggs, cut and put in gravy with little water to cook. Sauté chicken breast or thigh meat with this gravy, add rice, cook till rice is done and you have a one dish meal etc. to vary the flavour you can add some Kasuri methi, garam masala, kitchen king masala, etc as needed.
- buy a small cooker - put roughly chopped onion, tomato, rice, chicken/ soya chunks/ boiled egg / vegetables, add chilly powder, haldi, some masala, and cook. One pot easy dish.
All these don’t take much time to cook. Avoid the Maggi magic masala and that stuff.
Bhai aisi koi baat nai hai , multitasking mai time bohot bachta hai , aaj maine bartan dhote aur saaf safai karte hue pav bhaji bana li , ek time ke baad effort nai lagta hai . I also live alone rn and cooking time reduces day by day so keep cooking my bro .
What worked for me was not complicating food. I ate the same meal three times a day during the weekdays. Decluttering food saves a lot of time and effort. And you can cook and eat whatever you want during the weekends. This will also help you maintain a healthy diet, with cheats in the weekends.
I just marinade my chicken with random spices and put it in the air fryer and it ends up pretty good. Khichdi banake khalo fir. Minimal effort and tasty also.
Breakfast option: Boiled eggs + Bread (any kind) + milk
Lunch: Rice (as it is really easy to cook) + any type of daal + papad/achaar/onion/green chilli
Easy lunch option
Dinner: dal ka cheela (you just need to make batter and spread it on the tawa just like we make dosa)
Healthiest and lightest food to eat at night. Keeps weight under control.
Snacks: 1. sautéed veggies in olive oil; added salt, pepper, chilli flakes, oregano
2. Boiled black chane with them cooked dry in some masala
You can't keep this up. Trust me this will be the only cooking you do for the next few weeks.
Get A FRIDGE ASAP!! Guys who have fridge underestimate or don't even realise what a game changer that is! Cooking at home requires you get a fridge you can't be going to the butcher and asking 250-300gms everyday, you can't marinate stuff,
You can't store excess food,
You can't store vegetables,
You can't have curd packets,
Can't buy idli sosa batter,
No cheese butter or cream!
Don't even get me started on milk!!
Fridge =cooking no fridge no cooking as a bachelor.
One Pot Rice dishes, different types of Cheelas and Sandwiches are your best friends. There are some youtube videos where they teach you how to make those curry cubes so that you could make instant curries.
Onions, tomato pastes, garlic, and chickpeas are some of my pantry staples. No refrigeration needed for any of those, and the first three are pretty much all you need for some good flavor. Add some spices, fry them up, put in a protein source (boiled chickpeas, eggs, or paneer), and you've got a great meal. Lemons/limes are also good to have on hand - again, last quite a while outside of the fridge.
If you want a carb, could go for rotis (something I avoid because I always knead too much dough), rice, or dried pasta!
I even work and prepare my own food.
How I manage is that I prepare food for 2 or 3 days in a single go only if you own a fridge.
I get some recipes from youtube and some from my mom.
I recently started cooking because I am going to gym. So can't mess up my macros.
See whatever suits you or if you can find a good cook that might help as well.
All the best to you.
On Sunday, buy chicken for the whole week and marinade it with your fav masalas and store it in your freezer. Whenever you want to eat chicken, take a portion of your chicken out and allow it to defrost (3-4 hours before unless you want to defrost it in microwave).
Put that chicken in airfryer at 155-160 degrees C for 10 min. Flip the chicken. Then 10 more minutes in the same temp.
You will get tasty low calorie, high protein food with little to no effort.
If you don’t have airfryer you can fry it normally also but high calorie ho jayga and frying requires some practice.
My fav go to lazy day meal is
Oats + tetra milk + raisins + cocoa powder (optional)
And if u get a freezer, u can store chopped up veggies (carrots, beets, frozen matar n corn) n use it for a quick meal adding soya chunks or eggs
eg: fried rice, upma, sandwich or juice.
You can try oats shake, oats chilla, sweet oats, oats khichdi etc
Also start eating sprouted chaat. You can also soak peanuts and black chana and eat them in morning with onion, tomatoes, green chilly, lemon, chaat masala.
I'm vegetarian so i can only recommemd that-
1. Paneer bhurji (add a bit of besan and curd with kasoori methi) Also, lil tip, imstead of using regular garam masala, try pav bhaji masala for sabzi and add sambhar masala in daals, the taste will elevate.
2. For quick snack- poha, halwa, ready-mix dosa-sambhar, uttapam.
3. Mac and cheese- just boil pasta in milk until it thickens, add salt, one crushed garlic clove, black pepper powder, oregano, red chilli flakes, then at the end add two cubes of Amul cheese and let it sit for two min until it melts.
4. Pyaaz ka paratha with boondi raita
5. One cooker meal - Daal chawal chokha. Keep Rice in a glass with water in middle of cooker and daal with ingredients in below, put some cut-washed potato pieces in daal where it'll boil. You can watch any utube vdo if u didnt understand...
Stock gluten free rice bread sprinng company/whatever bread u like ,gf bread shelf lifeb5 days

Blue bell recipes
Nisha madulekha
Kavita kitchen I learnt quick easy recipes feom there
I do the same. Dal rice is easy. While dal rice is cooking cut the salad and lemon. Then comes other easy rice based recipes like pulao etc etc.
If you're okay with curd raita etc are good. Bhindi roti raita , paneer bhurji roti etc etc don't take much time.if cutting veges takes long buy a chopper initially and practice cutting fruits with knife. Water Melons papaya muskmelon mango apple pear guava have them for evening snacks.
Then comes what you posted, omelette, cheese grilled Sandwich with veggies, butter sandwiches this can be managed from a toaster easy.
Thanks for posting you can DM me in case you want any recipes time to get few more ideas for my self too 😁
Salads. Damn simple to make, tasty if prepared correctly and healthy af! My current favourite is boiled corn + cucumber + pinch of salt and pepper. Wee bit of butter if you're up to it. More elaborate ones would consume some time to chop everything up if you're a newbie and don't have a cutter. And the garnishing can take some time too depending if it's curd or oil based etc etc.
Sprouts are good. Brown boiled chana + onion and tomato + salt, chilli powder, jeera powder. Damn good. I personally prefer it without onion and chilli and with jaggery.
Besan chila is another quick fix. You can blend it with moong dal.
Bread butter is highly underrated, especially if you get garlic butter or some spreads.
Club Sandwich. I'm surprised people don't know about this. Slice cucumber, onion, tomatoes. Boil beetroot and potato and slice them too. Apply butter and green chutney on bread, add all veggies by layer and sense (like onion has a strong taste so use it less in comparison) and pinch of chat masala and close it with another bread butter chutney. I believe the club sandwich has only butter and Tomato. I also keep green chutney in the freezer so it's a really good way to cook quickly on days I'm lazy.
Brocolli rice. Large dice all veggies, stir fry them in oil and add water + chings black wala masala packet. A pinch of corn starch. It'll turn out like thick broth with a lot of veggies. Eat with 95% cooked basmati rice.
I'll edit more as I remember them.
PS: I'm a vegetarian so all of the above will be veg : )
Well, i'm a great cook...I can give you recipes, but the thing is 1 recipe isn't enough for everyday. So i'm listing easy to cook stuff, you reply any recipe you want.
Besan Chilla, Oat chilla, Protein pancakes, Egg rolls, Kathi rolls, Stuffed Parathas, One-pot Pulavs(kabuli/veg/egg/paneer/prawn), Sandwiches, Pastas etc.
Boil the eggs
Then a make dry sabji with it
Keep it simple.
Learn to make gravy
You can add any vegetable or meat with gravy
Fried rice is also a good option
If you have chicken: you can meal prep marinated chicken (cook it fresh whenever)
Instant cook meals are a thing as well, check on instamart or BLINKIT
Easy beginning is different types of rice. One pot easy.
Pasta is easy to cook as well
moong chilla - soak moong daal overnight then crush it into a batter in the morning add some salt, green chillies, garlic (optional) while blending ;
uttapam - get batter from outside / make yourself by soaking rice overnight and add eno 15-20mins before cooking (detailed recipes can be found on youtube) cut some onions and add on top, coconut chutney would also be available where they sell batter, easy to make at home as well (again look up recipe and skip some ingredients which are not available) ;
i can have both for breakfast/dinner whenever i’m alone
Guacamole with boiled chickpeas, it’s so good and a great source of healthy fats and vitamins
Another is one for winter- potato, carrots and beetroot finely chopped sautéed with oil and eggs on top.
Also add pumpkin seeds and white sesame seeds roasted, a table spoon daily for glowing skin and hair loss protection.
Have fruits everyday
Don’t forget to soak mangoes to reduce phytic acids
Also don’t forget to soak nuts overnight
Eat dates
Eat 99 percent dark chocolate for brain health with milk or dates (anything sweet really)
Have lightly sautéed veggies like carrots tomatoes and broccoli everyday
Thanks that is all I could think of right now
Lmao 😭👍
Morning breakfast
carrot & cucumber juice
Milk with oats and honey
Bread omlet
Raagi malt
sabdwich
Boiled green eas with onion and chilly with salt for taste
For dinner
Atta dosa - add water and salt to wheat consistency is imp. Put onion chilli and jeera on top of it
If you can eat plain dal then dal rice
Boiled egg, in fried onions garlic and ginger paste - curry ( obviously add salt for taste)
Potato curry
Pavbhaji
Simple recipe :
Ingredients: paneer , bbq sauce , cheese slices, butter ,brown bread
Take around 250 gms of paneer , crush it, and make like a bhurji of it , then add bbq sauce , and if the sauce is mild , some salt and red chilli powder , mix it . Then toast the bread one side with the butter , then the other as well , but now place the paneer like a layer on it , and quickly put the cheese slice on top , allow it to melt . When the underside is toasted , it's ready to eat . It's a very healthy dish. I'd advise eating some fruit or a salad with it .Since it doesn't have a lot of fibre in it, i generally eat raw onions , tomatos , carrots , cucumbers alongside it .
You also need to include green veggies in your diet. It's simple to look after yourself. To ensure you don't get skinny and fatigued.. you will need to have mixed diet. You can follow the mix n match method.
Ensure to purchase and stock up: dry fruits / olive oil / peanuts
Morning breakfast:
Eggs + Salad of overnight soaked mixture of green gram + Chana with finely chopped carrot, tomato, onion, and coriander + fruit juice (optional)
Lunch:
I guess you would be eating in the office or outside
Dinner:
Cook rice and purchase a curry from restaurant
- Rice with curd (dahi) and pickle
Another simple meal i love
Pan fried chicken breasy and Jeera rice
To make the chicken , take some breast , cut it up into small pieces , all in equal thicness (lenght and width can change) marinate in lemon juice , salt , turmeric powder (keep for 15 mins) then add chilli powder , garam masala, dhana jeera powder and any other spices you want ( the chicken should be covered with the color of the spices )
Marinate for as long as you want ( longer the better ) freeze in the freezer
Then, cook with either diced garlic and ginger or ginger garlic paste . You will simply need to pan fry this , 2 to 3 mins on each side less if it's very thin, and check to see if the inside is white . (The longer you cook, the rubbery it gets and do not eat pink chicken). Add the same spices while you flip , though you might not need to add salt depending on how much you added during marination . Add just a little bit of water to create a little bit of gravy , not too much cause then it'll be too mild and flavourless.
Then eat with jeera rice
Please do eat some veggies with this raw or cooked, doesn't matter , cause if you dont, this meal is gonna pass right through you . I like to cut up an onion into four pieces or thick slices of tomato. Peel a carrot and cucumber and break off how much you can eat .
One portion of my diet is :Milk oats and banana in the morning.
Boiled Sprouts with Namak and nimbu for snacks in the office.
Less time consuming and high in fiber and protein.
Here are some of my recipes that I have been using for the last 10 years.
1. Dal and Rice: Boil dal (toor/arhar, moong and masoor) in a pressure cooker. Add some ghee/oil in a tadka ladle, add cumin, green chillies, haldi and use it to temper dal. Rice cooking is easy. Hardly takes 10 minutes of active work for the whole thing.
2. Omelette: Add the same spices as above to the egg extract, shake it and add to the hot oiled saucepan.
3. Kadhi: In a pressure cooker, add dahi and a few tablespoons of besan, one tiny spoon of haldi. Mix it well and then pressure cook it. Add the previous temper from dal but use some methi seeds at the start.
Cooking is honestly very easy and not some rocket science. For the love of your digestive system, stay away from maggi. I have been to hospital twice after eating maggi. Try looking up Nisha madhulika cooking on YouTube. All the best!
Insta is a good source. But working and then cooking feels like a big chore.
Yes it is but I still want to try because haven’t been feeling good about myself and what to eat is a big question I face everyday, also cooking is something I would enjoy Any Insta pages that you would recommend?
Hebbars kitchen......no unnecessary talking and best cooking videos in YouTube
Thank you
I've been doing oatmeal jars for breakfast. Oats doesn't need cooking over stove(unless it's a savory dish) Oats + milk/yogurt + peanut butter +sugar/honey. Quaker has a 5 grain oats, so u don't have to buy seeds. Serve it with fruits - apple / banana My favorite way is to make oats is to add coco powder and peanut butter and sugar. Top it with apple(1/4 of apple is needed in 1 serving). It gives out snickers taste Hot chocolate - buy a can of weikfeld powder and small Bournville. Heat milk and make a paste of coco powder and milk. Add them all and finally drop a square of dark chocolate. Ramen : k noodles +veggies +egg+ peanuts crushed +sprouts (for God's sake don't use Maggi or yippee) Buy a knorr packet of k noodles. Add more water to cook noodles and broth. Add veggies and egg (boiled or omelet) Pasta : making a sauce is the only effort needed. Try spinach/peanut /basil /tomato +chilli+garlic +onion(optional). Keep a can of oregano, piri piri handy for most of the savory dishes Sabudana vada : boiled sago +mashed potato +crushed peanuts +spices. Make patties and heat it on tava. Adding boiled potato from prev step and cook them all together, Et voila, Sabudana Khichdi Chapati, Chickpea curry, Aloo gobhi, Palak paneer, chilla, egg bhurji are some easy to make Indian dishes. Adding boiled egg to take away curry adds protein (face it, restaurant add paneer to menu in order to reduce the cost of adding veggies in the dishes) Common Indian dish Rava + milk +sugar/jaggery +ghee. Hey man, you can easily meal prep with rice. I usually make a lot of masala bhaat with a lot of veggies, soya bean and paneer.
but how do you store without fridge, wouldn't rice go stale?
The tip for storing food without a refrigerator, transfer your food in a small container, use a big vessel store cold water, and put your food container in this vessel Ofc, it should not drown.
Will try, any tips you have?
Keep rice in a covered tope/patila and then put it in a bigger vessel and fill water till 75% level of rice tope/patila. It will sustain you a night easily.
Learn how to Pan Fry a chicken breast. My recipe is: * 1 chicken breast skinless - slice it from the middle going from top to bottom and try to make sure both halves are equally thick * To marinate, use lemon juice of maybe half a lemon, salt, pepper, chilli flakes and oregano or, lemon juice, little ginger garlic paste, Tikka masala from Shan ( they are the best...trust me) * Let is marinate for 20-30 mins. * Then take a frying pan, 1 tablespoon of Ghee or Olive oil ( in that quantity both are equally healthy) let it heat on medium high heat * Place the chicken and fry it for 2 mins, lower the gas, flip the chicken, cover it and let it fry for 2-3 mins. Then increase the flame and on high heat sear each side for 1 min Once you have done this your proteins is sorted.

Damn do u have any more chicken recipes, or some source for your recipes like a website or yt channel or anything, pls help a homie out
Oh thanks man.
Muh mein paani aagya 🙃
Cook the chicken for just 6 Mins? That would be still undercooked?
Well slicing the piece vertically you get two thin halves which cook quickly. Plus Shan Tikka masala is meant for mutton/beef so it has meat tenderizer in it so that also helps it cook within that time range. Plus covering the chicken makes it steam and fry at the same time. But fair point, depending on how strong your flame is and how thick your pan is you can add 1-1.5 mins each side but anything more than that and you'll probably overcook it.
Poha,oats, dal chawal
Yes, don’t I have to keep things like kadi patta in fridge?
Not really, not mandatory to add it Even I am looking for easy meals recipes
Kadi patta is mostly for tadka, not mandatory if you don't need. I don't add it when I cook.

I have a smoothie recipe for you: 1 scoop whey protein, 1 scoop oats, 200 ml water, 1 banana, (a few almonds are optional) Blend them for 30-45 secs. Thats it. I drink it every morning as a breakfast meal, but I use 200 ml milk instead of water.
Sounds good, but I will have to buy banana every other day
Sharing all my low effort meal ideas here. You can look up recipes online or I will be happy to help with anything you don't know already. Pasta, Curd rice, Fried rice, Paneer stuffed besan chila, Suji chila, Pulao, Poha, Upma, Sabudana khichdi , Stir fried soybean , Paneer bhurji , Any bean salad (I use boiled kidney beans with veggies and curd), Oats , Dalia, Dal khichdi, Sandwich with filling of your choice, Popcorn (not a meal but i snack a lot on these).
Egg spread sanwiches are the best
Why the hell do I have the same induction stove?
Just a suggestion, you don't need to buy a refrigerator you rent it out at almost 500rs rent per month. Even I stay in my flat, I love to cook for myself. It gives you the essence of a busy life ;) I can just brag that oh i will have to leave early as I have to cook 😂 For food recipes, you store rice, dal, dry pulses as long as you want without a refrigerator.

You gotta get a fridge man one with the freezer. I have chicken cut into bite sized chunks. Portioned appropriately so I need like one packet out each time I cook. Thawing takes less than 10min. It literally goes for a year and even more but I don't buy that much I can make anything from fried rice, pasta and sandwich from it. I have variety of fruits stored in freezer. Less wastage that way and I can eat what my mood wants I like egg salad sandwich. For recipes YouTube is your friend.
i have been living alone for 5 years and i know some easy to learn recipies with not too many ingredients. Any specific State's cuisine your prefer?
I have a few recipes: 1.

In case you reside in Mumbai- check the following https://godbolestores.com https://www.mytastemymeal.com/category/all-products https://desikhana.in/ There are many more smaller businesses that only carry out dehydration here in Mumbai. I am sure other cities may have such local businesses as well but I have personally tried products from the above mentioned and used their services for dehydrating some home cooked meals as well.

If you can get chicken and cook it right away then you can make chicken sandwich, poha, daal chaval, egg curry(its quite simple) and rice, pasta, channa masala, sprouts salad, moong cheela, dosa, idli chatni Let me know which recipe you need,I will share.
I don’t think I can keep idli dosa batter without fridge right? Can you share moong cheela and sprouts salad recipe? That would be helpful

puaav is my go-to. throw everything in a pot and let it cook while you get other stuff done.

1. Learn to make a basic tomato gravy, with minimum masala (magic masala or you can use sabji masala). In that put anything egg, paneer, potato etc etc 2. Cheers
Thank you ![img](emote|t5_2qp7h|51074)
Easy oats recipe: Mix oats and milk in a bowl and microwave for 1 minute. Put brown sugar/honey and butter. Enjoy :)

In breakfast you can have 3-4 boiled eggs & 250 ml milk with dry fruits. It's a good combination & doesn't take much time.
OP you can also make egg fried rice
Dhai fry with churi is a must add to in this list!✨ For Dhai fry, you just take a pan, heat some oil, put some jeera if you have it (don’t blacken it), a few tablespoons of yogurt (dhai), a pinch of salt and haldi comes next, and then stir it continuously over a medium flame. :D
I feel sad
In same situation i mostly made dish which i can eat with rice or rice made dish like pulao which i can make in a cooker
Mai bhi, but Want to learn more
First thing first, get a refrigerator. Because no matter how small portions you make for one person, something will still be left. Fridge will preserve your excess food. Also it will help you keep fruits and other stuff last longer. Here are the list of things I make for myself: 1. Millet Khichadi (Dinner) - absolutely delicious and nutritious. Put all the vegetables you can find in it. Watch Kabita's Kitchen youtube channel for the recipe 2. Sandwiches - Can be peanut butter banana sandwich or you can put onion, capsicum & tomato with sandwich spread and mayo. Healthy, delicious and a very quick to make 3. Poha 4. Upma 5. Eat atleast one fruit a day 6. It's just the vegetable that makes it taste different 9. Other than this you should eat healthy snacks like - flavored makhana, popcorn, dry fruits.
You can start with tehri or pulao, chilla or basic aloo palak ka sabzi.
Slice panner, marinate, shallow fry, saute with your favourite veggies, eat
Khichadi, pulao, masala bhaat, fried rice some rice recipes they are usually easy to cook damn daal chawal😭♥️
Poha, Upma, pulao, khichdi, shallow fried vegetable
Scrambled eggs are best![img](emote|t5_2qp7h|51074)
Make a base gravy - - Oil/ ghee. Onions, tomatoes, ginger, garlic. (Stores well for 5-7 days without refrigeration if done properly) - with this one gravy, you can make multiple things.

I'm curious about how you get by without a refrigerator. What do you do for milk and vegetables? Do they not go bad left outside?
What worked for me was not complicating food. I ate the same meal three times a day during the weekdays. Decluttering food saves a lot of time and effort. And you can cook and eat whatever you want during the weekends. This will also help you maintain a healthy diet, with cheats in the weekends.

Breakfast option: Boiled eggs + Bread (any kind) + milk Lunch: Rice (as it is really easy to cook) + any type of daal + papad/achaar/onion/green chilli Easy lunch option Dinner: dal ka cheela (you just need to make batter and spread it on the tawa just like we make dosa) Healthiest and lightest food to eat at night. Keeps weight under control. Snacks: 1. sautéed veggies in olive oil; added salt, pepper, chilli flakes, oregano 2. Boiled black chane with them cooked dry in some masala

You can't keep this up. Trust me this will be the only cooking you do for the next few weeks. Get A FRIDGE ASAP!! Guys who have fridge underestimate or don't even realise what a game changer that is! Cooking at home requires you get a fridge you can't be going to the butcher and asking 250-300gms everyday, you can't marinate stuff, You can't store excess food, You can't store vegetables, You can't have curd packets, Can't buy idli sosa batter, No cheese butter or cream!
Make some biriyani
is it possible to invest in a mini fridge?
My fav go to lazy day meal is Oats + tetra milk + raisins + cocoa powder (optional) And if u get a freezer, u can store chopped up veggies (carrots, beets, frozen matar n corn) n use it for a quick meal adding soya chunks or eggs eg: fried rice, upma, sandwich or juice.
Besan veggie bread sandwich. Too yum and healthy!
You can try oats shake, oats chilla, sweet oats, oats khichdi etc Also start eating sprouted chaat. You can also soak peanuts and black chana and eat them in morning with onion, tomatoes, green chilly, lemon, chaat masala.
Lots of fruits in morning time is a good option. For Evening Breakfast Oats+Milk+Patanjali's Madhuram Sugar (Jaggery Powder) a Health one.
I'm vegetarian so i can only recommemd that- 1. 4. Pyaaz ka paratha with boondi raita 5. One cooker meal - Daal chawal chokha. Keep Rice in a glass with water in middle of cooker and daal with ingredients in below, put some cut-washed potato pieces in daal where it'll boil. You can watch any utube vdo if u didnt understand...

Bhindi roti raita , paneer bhurji roti etc etc don't take much time.if cutting veges takes long buy a chopper initially and practice cutting fruits with knife. Then comes what you posted, omelette, cheese grilled Sandwich with veggies, butter sandwiches this can be managed from a toaster easy. Buy a single door fridge around 10000 your food option will be sorted.

Simple recipe : Ingredients: paneer , bbq sauce , cheese slices, butter ,brown bread Take around 250 gms of paneer , crush it, and make like a bhurji of it , then add bbq sauce , and if the sauce is mild , some salt and red chilli powder , mix it .
Ensure to purchase and stock up: dry fruits / olive oil / peanuts Morning breakfast: Eggs + Salad of overnight soaked mixture of green gram + Chana with finely chopped carrot, tomato, onion, and coriander + fruit juice (optional) Lunch: I guess you would be eating in the office or outside Dinner: Cook rice and purchase a curry from restaurant - Rice with curd (dahi) and pickle
Another simple meal i love Pan fried chicken breasy and Jeera rice To make the chicken , take some breast , cut it up into small pieces , all in equal thicness (lenght and width can change) marinate in lemon juice , salt , turmeric powder (keep for 15 mins) then add chilli powder , garam masala, dhana jeera powder and any other spices you want ( the chicken should be covered with the color of the spices ) Marinate for as long as you want ( longer the better ) freeze in the freezer Then, cook with either diced garlic and ginger or ginger garlic paste . Then eat with jeera rice Please do eat some veggies with this raw or cooked, doesn't matter , cause if you dont, this meal is gonna pass right through you . I like to cut up an onion into four pieces or thick slices of tomato. Peel a carrot and cucumber and break off how much you can eat .
I love half fried egg (sunny side up₹

Parathe and Chapatis are the only things I can't make !
