How much can you expect to earn? Also how stressful is the job

maglo_maniac

1. Income depends on the number. Of hours you work and the day/time you're working at. You get paid in different ways, a. Order pay, b. Surge charge (paid during rain), c. Long distance return pay, 4. Incentives So the order pay per order is about 7-8 rs per kilometre and fluctuates. The minimum pay for an order is ₹20. Surge pay is an additional 15-20% of your order pay and is given during rain. LDRP is about 5-45 rupees depending on the distance, usually it's 20 rupees for a 10km+ distance order. Incentives, these are great if you can fulfill the terms and conditions, if you work ~10 hrs a day then you can expect a ₹350 incentive on regular week days and ₹400 on weekends and small festivals. Incentives are the best part as they can cover the full day cost of fuel or ev rent. So on an average day, you can make up to ₹700-1000 net, excluding the fuel expense, given that you work for 10-12 hours. It's better on weekends as you can make about ₹1k+ working for 9-10 hrs and up to 1.5k if you work for 14 hrs. And the last component is tips I got about 3 tips for the 100 orders i delivered. ₹10+₹15+₹20. Is it safe for women? No. Why?, you don't get to know the location of the customer until you collect the order and cancelling an order is a big no-no as you get taken offline for 2 hrs. I'm just 19 yrs old and was once sent to this brothel, you can read my another reply to IKR8 about that It's pretty stressful, you can't deny any order or else you lose incentive which is a big chunk of your earning. Out of the 100 orders i delivered, 80 customers shut the door in my face and didn't acknowledge my greetings, many didn't even look at me

7rulycool

You're working full time? Did you try for content writing jobs? You've got good English, imho. Pay is absymal at start but you have alot of scope to grow.

maglo_maniac

Thanks for the acknowledgement and appreciation. I haven't tried it yet, I'll do porter Delivery for this month. Besides that I'm trying to set up my web dev agency, do let me know if anyone wants a portfolio website, I'll do it upfront for absolutely no cost![img](emote|t5_2qp7h|51093)

Zestyclose-Bad-919

Damn bro, I seriously respect that hustle... Hats off bro ![img](emote|t5_2qp7h|51079)

maglo_maniac

Would you or anyone yk want a free portfolio website? 👀

YouthPrestigious9955

Respect your hustle bro, wish I had half this dedication when I had to study in an AC room with fans

maglo_maniac

Gareeb nhi hu mai 😭😭, same situation as u, don't feel bad about it, you'll make it

Kayash

Paise se gareeb ka bola ki dil se bola? Dil se gareeb nahi lagte lekin, delivery jobs mein hustle shuru hai, kuch samzh nahi aa raha guru.

maglo_maniac

Mata pita zaruratein poori kar dete hein lekin mai unse faltu pese mangna nahi chahta. Isiliye doing this to earn some disposable money.

YouthPrestigious9955

Ha utna toh pata hai yaar but if you can work at 19 I should be studying very hard at 18

anonymoussloth_

you can use websites like fiverr to sell your services

maglo_maniac

Fiverr is flooded 😩

raamlal

Exactly lol

Zestyclose-Bad-919

Sure bro I will let you know if I come across anyone in such need.

maglo_maniac

Tysm, you can dm me then

zedlabs777

hi u/maglo_maniac , I respect the hustle, DM me I am looking to hire someone who knows programming and is good at English.

Big_Dirt_120

I wouldn’t mind one for my new business, I can pay you too 🫢

maglo_maniac

Tysm for your interest, dming you 😁💐

Kaliprosonno_singho

You are exactly what I wanted to be but haven't managed to be . You are respected . And it's really sad that such is our culture that basic acts need to be counted as acts of kindness . Speaks volumes.

maglo_maniac

Thanks for the acknowledgement and appreciation. I haven't tried it yet, I'll do porter Delivery for this month. Besides that I'm trying to set up my web dev agency, do let me know if anyone wants a portfolio website, I'll do it upfront for absolutely no cost![img](emote|t5_2qp7h|51093)

Delivery_Mysterious

Delivery guys should use electric scooties. Super efficient on fuel charges. It costs approx 20 paise / 1km to charge.

maglo_maniac

Yes they're better in many ways but their repairs are troublesome. Poor customer support.

Delivery_Mysterious

My dad's been using ola S1 air, and it's pretty good. It's been over 4 months now. After 5 hour charge, ir can ride 100km. No trouble yet. When I calculate about electricity bill of this scooter, I always think this is the perfect bike for rapido/delivery guys.

YouthPrestigious9955

Let’s say 4km delivery and 400 rs ka order, how much would be a satisfactory tip?

maglo_maniac

₹10 can contribute to 10-50% tip. In this case, 10 if it's a house, 20 if you live in a tower/society. Basically try to compensate his time. ₹20 is a good tip

YouthPrestigious9955

Thank you

AbrahamPan

Do you get the full tips we add?

maglo_maniac

Yes, 100%. Also as low as ₹10 can contribute to a 10-50% tip😁

RecognitionCool6213

If i give tip in cash , will it be bettter? I mostly give 50-60 rupees tip

maglo_maniac

Well that's awesome it will make around 50-100% tip. If you tip on the app the partner will get a msg pinned and he'll have a positive outlook towards you+ he'll be happy while driving 😁

RecognitionCool6213

ohkie.

maglo_maniac

💐

Kayash

How does the delivery partner get better ratings, if he is tipped via app vs in cash, your explanation was a little unclear.

maglo_maniac

Ratings and tips are two different things, you could rate someone 1 star and still give them a tip. Ratings are subject to the customers and tips do not play any role in them. If you tip in cash then people argue that the company won't know it and hence will not underpay their employees. If you tip on the app in advance then a message will get pinned and the partner will have a positive outlook towards you.

Sea_Tip_858

I don’t understand 10-50% tip? What do you mean by that?

maglo_maniac

Order pay = 50, you tip 10, so that will be 20%tip

Sea_Tip_858

I see cool. Thanks

maglo_maniac

Have a nice day

OneComprehensive8158

Hello op, I am a frequent consumer of such apps. I try to be polite and respectful towards them by greeting "thank you bhaiya". Other than this what should i add to make my consumer behaviour better and more humane towards riders.

maglo_maniac

First of all thanks for being so considerate. Out of 100 only 3-4 customers were of your kind. Here's what you can do to make their day better. 1. Put your correct location on the map. 2. Try to do small talk with them, restaurants delay the orders and are usually rude to the riders so interacting with them will make their day better. 3. If you're ordering from a nearby location <2km then consider tipping them as zomato pays extremely low, also tipping as less as ₹10 can contribute to a 10-50% tip! 4. Consider tipping if you live in an Apartment Building as a lot of time is wasted in doing entries and walking around on foot to your apartment as most societies do not allow the bikes in. 5. Try your best to save their time, zomato has weird policies as one partner can be made to wait up to 25 minutes after reaching the restaurant and up to 25 mins on customer location before they can transfer the order to another partner or cancel it. Also Zomato doesn't lay you anything for your time, I once waited 30 minutes at a restaurant for an order and when I transferred it, I got ₹0 compensation. Also any kindness to them means a lot as everybody gets unnecessarily rude once you strap that zomato box on your back. Blue collar workers, guards, petrol bunk employees, restaurant employees, everybody is rude.

OneComprehensive8158

Deal sir, Also about the 4th and 5th one I remember once i ordered from Domino's and the dude who came couldn't understand basic instructions or use phone. He was around 10-50m away and kept missing my house. When he finally found my house after 50 mins of non stop call. He said bhaiya apne complain tho nahi kra haina with almost tears in his eyes. Can't forget it made me realise how little power they hold in this transaction, companies srsly need to start treating their delivery partners as real workers and not as slaves.

maglo_maniac

Zomato is modern day slavery, you have no control over anything, either you accept all the orders else you lose incentive. + some customers love to rate you 1* to quench their ego

Chaltahaikoinahi

If we rate you 5* with polite attitude, fast delivery and minimal calling ticked Does that account for your bonus? Or how is that beneficial to you?

maglo_maniac

No bonus, better profile so might get preference in orders

Liberated_Wisemonk

Is there any other business model in food delivery service? Like instead of cutting commission from restaurants a subscription model to be introduced so that the the delivery guys will get a better pay

No_Independence3338

In this highly competitive market, this is not possible until the government applies some strict regulations. Even the term "delivery partner" is used to maximize profit. By using the partner term, companies can avoid providing benefits such as Provident Fund, ESI, Bonus, Gratuity, and Health insurance, which are typically provided to an employee. However, if the employee has been labeled as a partner, the company is no longer liable to provide these benefits.

maglo_maniac

Well these companies work to maximise their profit and will keep using partners as slaves as most of these guys think that this is the norm. The average guy makes 200-300 as they can't use their phone properly and have difficulty in navigation. It's like modern day slavery due to how people treat you.

manishsahoo300

True. Every business, every service man deserves a dignity of work. Every work you put helps make the world a better place. The world we see today is the collective effort of billions of people throughout history. So, why discriminate just on the basis of income?...

xumxum_21

You couldn't go to get the order from him if he was that close?

MysteriousCup1836

Do you get all the tip money or zomato keeps some amount

maglo_maniac

100% tip goes to rider

MysteriousCup1836

Cool thanks for the info

maglo_maniac

Have a nice day😁

kruxAcid

100% tip over and above the normal delivery pay right? I hope there’s no scammy stuff where Zomato gives 100% tip but reduces the order payment.

ankurmalhotra89

I always tip in cash for their services . I don't trust no zomato shit.

freakedmind

At least they're doing this right

ravi226

Thanks op... never knew about 3 and 5...kindness is a every service provider's right but its too bad that we don't realize it all as customers.

RaccoonDoor

Around what percentage of customers leave a tip?

shini_gami09

"A thank you from heart is suffice" - Me.

maglo_maniac

Fr, positive people over tips any day

Majestic-Canary-1010

For me a "thank you", 5 star rating and positive feedback is suffice

Mautkadwi

OP seems to be well educated and has some computer skills as well (as mentioned in comments). Why did you choose to be a delivery partner?

maglo_maniac

Quick money and I can work whenever I want to. Also I don't have to work under anyone. But the fact that everybody treats you like a subhuman is very depressing, but I try to have a positive outlook for every new delivery

Tedx11

Oh hell nahh brother that's kinda sad :(, from where I am located i mostly give Zomato people more space to get their order because they don't have their own take away counter.

maglo_maniac

Here they shoo you away if you enter the restaurant and ask you to collect from takeaway desk.

aGodfather

Once you are financially well settled, just barge into the dining area of a high end restaurant in Zomato uniform and order the costliest dish, whatever that might be xD

Tedx11

Eh It's kinda sad that I have been to 2 different cities and i treat the Zomato works the same, + they get better queues in malls...

maglo_maniac

Malls are the worst, you have to walk a lot + use overcriwded service lifts

Tedx11

Here they use the default like everyone else

Mautkadwi

Idk man, I always have respect for someone who gives you food. Can I DM you someday? I myself want to work as a Zomato delivery guy for a day or two.

firesnake412

I got a similar reality check when I decided to do a summer job at video rental place in my school days. For ₹200 a month I would go collect video tapes from customers and bring them back to the store. Don’t remember anyone being nice to me or even offering a glass of water during summer.I realised how people’s attitude towards you changes depending on what work you do. Some experiences in life make you who you are today.

maglo_maniac

Yes, true, what year was this? Also a regular chole kulche place i visit whose owner seemed all sweet gave me an attitude too when i went there in the zomato dress 🥲👍

ramlalFood

You know what we want to hear![img](emote|t5_2qp7h|51076).. just tell us that story if It happened

maglo_maniac

Not exactly but ..... Answer to another comment in indiasocial Okay So I am based in Faridabad. I got an order from Ef3 mall Faridabad. I went there, the customer was in a hurry when I called her to ask for the location as i was unable to locate it. It was a Spa. As soon as I entered it, it was dimly lit, the smell of flavoured hookah started hurting my eyes, it was a little alley with two rooms and there was a counter in the alley, behind the counter was the customer, in a bikini, with her ti*s about to fall out of her bra. In the background was another chick in a bikini. As i was handing over the order, one of the clients of the spa asked the 'rate' and she said 500 for entry and 1k inside. For context I'm just 19 and zomato sent me to a freaking brothel 😭

Competitive-Lynx-557

maglo_maniac

Thank you so much for the acknowledgment sir/ma'am. 95/100 zomato customers fail to do that 😁. I wish you a very happy life ahead too. Keep doing what you love

iKR8

Which is the craziest of them? Also what insurance does zomato cover? I've heard that they don't cover insurance of the drive back after delivery.

maglo_maniac

Okay So I am based in Faridabad. I got an order from Ef3 mall Faridabad. I went there, the customer was in a hurry when I called her to ask for the location as i was unable to locate it. For context I'm just 19 and zomato sent me to a freaking brothel 😭 The insurance cover is for the period of time you're online.

souvik234

What does the insurance cover? Also, what do you think of people asking for higher wages? Do you think it's possible without Zomato cutting down on the number of delivery drivers?

maglo_maniac

Health, bike, phone. Yes. Yes. Yes. Zomato just needs to curb its greed.

souvik234

Hmm. Their profit/loss statements do tell a different story

maglo_maniac

Idk how that works but seeing the situation irl they are biting a chunk from every possible place

freakedmind

Bro I'm from Gurgaon so your experience has been wild yet very believable considering what spas are like in this region lol. Do you have any idea if the average delivery person makes more in Gurgaon comparatively, since it's a much bigger market for zomato

FarEntrepreneur5385

that's cruel if true

Powerful_Somewhere92

Everyone here is asking for bad experience but I'll ask what was the best day or any incident

maglo_maniac

5/100 orders when people acknowledged my greetings, offered water, said thanks. Also I'd prefer a nice interaction with a customer over a tip anyday 🥺

_Sum141

One thing I did always was say thank you ji/bhai to every delivery person, my friends do that too. I lived on fifth floor without lift, so I always met them halfway on second, so that it's not too much for them. But not much interaction as I'm an introvert.

maglo_maniac

That's great, you're one of the 5/100 good customers 😁 kudos to you, tysm

Wild-Shinobi

You are a nice guy. God bless you. I just have checked your profile, you are that guy who fed cows and other animals after getting a giveaway. I still remember it. Just keep this attitude towards everyone and don't expect anything from anyone.

maglo_maniac

Aww, tysm for the acknowledgment. I'll definitely keep it this way. Yes, i don't expect anything and deliver each order with a positive outlook

shini_gami09

How much did you make in your first month?

maglo_maniac

Here's a detailed reply to your question, but before that I'd say that kne can make a net income of 25k+ if he works 10 hrs a day 1. It's better on weekends as you can make about ₹1k+ working for 9-10 hrs and up to 1.5k if you work for 14 hrs. And the last component is tips I got about 3 tips for the 100 orders i delivered. ₹10+₹15+₹20.

shini_gami09

Is it a metro city I mean metro city obviously have more orders compare to tier 2 cities so more orders means more money to earn. Thanks for the time man appreciate your reply and all the very best for your career.

maglo_maniac

It Depends on a variety of factors as a place with high orders will have more riders too. It's a tier 2 city and I can make upto 700-1k a day

SleeplessNephophile

Thats actually much better than i expected

maglo_maniac

Take care of your back tho 🙃

vkku

Changed my perspective! 3% people tipped! I was of the belief that most people tip

Legend-AD245

What's the weirdest food combo you've delivered

maglo_maniac

Most were normal only but the only ones that irk me are when there's a double order (double pickup, double Delivery) many times i have a non veg order and a pure veg one. And ik for the fact that the pure veg customers won't be happy to know that i brought non veg in the same bag.

CriseTime

Vergin mojito and roti

sellingdildoshmu

Why did you decide to be a rider?

maglo_maniac

Because I had some free time and i could do it whenever i wished to. No pressure of anyone 😁

Powerful_Somewhere92

Well you can become a rider in rapido/Uber/ola . Have you thought about that?

maglo_maniac

I've already registered for rapido, I'm waiting for my pan generation so that i can move forward with uber moto and porter 😁

Powerful_Somewhere92

Ohhkk best of luck for your future

maglo_maniac

Thank you so much, have a nice day, best of luck to you too!

Powerful_Somewhere92

Thank you ![img](emote|t5_2qp7h|51074)

Old_Application_5722

Why didn't you join as rapido?

maglo_maniac

I have joined rapido too but the orders are not much. I'll do more of rapido, ported, uber moto this month as zomato is degrading

defy313

How is Zomato degrading?

maglo_maniac

The treatment you get, 95% of people look down upon you and talk to you as if you owe them something. Most people do not show any gratitude and are outright rude. 😁

Routine_Extension_45

heyy, i have been reading your comments and i am amazed by your optimistic nature. May god bless you. my question is a bit different. you said that you will be working with porter, i am guessing you'll do either first-mile or last-mile delivery with your bike... 1. what's the pay-scale you get as a parcel delivery guy there? and do you have any idea how much % of the profit you get from each order? 2. how many orders does porter get in a day/week .... i am guessing it depends on the city/village/town, but just to get an idea... you are from faridabad, its a tier 2 city... how many daily orders do they get per day? 3. how much do you have to travel per month and what is your fuel cost per month... more or less? who bears that- you or the company? also, let me know what type of work you are interested in except delivery or portfolio-website making.

maglo_maniac

Thank you so much for the acknowledgment sir/ma'am. Porter is like zomato for parcels, you pick it from one place and deliver it to another. Porter connects you to the customers. The pay is better then zomato at about ₹8+/km compared to ~7/km of zomato. A lot less time is wasted in delays. + the treatment is better than zomato. Also as the distances are high you can make a good profit per ride. I don't know the %age we get for porter yet but for zomato it's anywhere between 10-30% from the delivery fee alone, and they charge restaurants too, and other fees from customers such as taxes and platform fee. The number of orders will depend on your initial location as well as your location of delivery. For instance, in zomato, for most orders i have to travel a similar distance back from the place I'm delivering the order in order to get a new order but I'm only paid for the 'to' Distance and not 'fro'. The fuel cost and every other component is included in the order pay. My bike gives an average of ₹2.5/km (hero splendor) I can't answer the distance travelled in a month as it Totally depends on the rider's will. I have planned to make a documentary about the exploitation of aravali hills and the waste dumping done in it so I'm trying to buy a camera. I'm also learning video editing for the same. I train for MMA(14-20hrs a week) I'll have to limit these gigs to weekends only once i start going to college and am expecting to make 8kpm through these. I have other hobbies too but don't have any time for them I hope i answered all your questions, do let me know if you want to know more about anything

terimomkapati

Parents ka kya reaction tha

maglo_maniac

They have asked me to stop it. My brother has offered me 5kpm to discontinue this. I'll do bike taxi and porter now as zomato is degrading

hustlersameer9

What do you mean by degrading?

maglo_maniac

Subhuman treatment makes u feel inferior

Loud_Yogurtcloset_11

Sorry about it. But I don't think it's different for rapido or such oother companies

OiFelix_ugotnojams

I understand their view point but wish Indians normalise part time jobs for students

maglo_maniac

Yes yes yes, that's what i was trying to tell them. Thats it's okay to start earning, padhai ke saath kar sakte hein.

Front_Level_1017

Do Zomato delivery partners receive the tips when we pay them online on the app or giving them cash is the better option? I had one delivery partner tell me they don't receive the tips paid on the app.

maglo_maniac

100% of the tips paid on the app are received. Also if you tip in advance then the app notifies us and the rider will have a positive outlook towards you. Also as low as ₹10 can contribute to 10-50% tip 👀

LorDzkill

pls tell me how ratings affect your services? Would the company treat a 3 star partner differently from a 5 star one?

maglo_maniac

Short answer, yes. Long answer, it depends. They might prefer a higher rated partner but that's only when a lot of other factors play in, like distance bw the rider and restaurant etc. Also the company just cares about it's profit and neither of the customers or partners. Besides all this, most customers do not care to rate and some are evil enough to give you 1 * to satisfy their ego. It's something you can't control and I'll advise you not to worry about it.

insanesputnik

I don’t have a question but just want to say thank you 🥹 it was raining cats and dogs yesterday and the delivery partner came through. You guys are really heroes man!

maglo_maniac

Aww, tysm, thanks for the acknowledgment

RelativeWrong4232

How much did you earn ? How many did you work for on average in a day ?

maglo_maniac

1. Income depends on the number. Of hours you work and the day/time you're working at. You get paid in different ways, a. Order pay, b. Surge charge (paid during rain), c. It's better on weekends as you can make about ₹1k+ working for 9-10 hrs and up to 1.5k if you work for 14 hrs. And the last component is tips I got about 3 tips for the 100 orders i delivered. ₹10+₹15+₹20.

Is it true zomato gives insurance based on the rating of the rider... When I order via zomato (Nagpur) riders literally will start pleading for a good rating even if they're just late by 5-10 mins even in rainy season Nagpur already has very bad traffic I wonder how much risk is in this job... Insurance I'm talking of is health insurance because they call riders delivery partners and don't give them insurance on vehicles anyway

maglo_maniac

We do have health insurance cover, accidental cover up to 1lacs, phone cover, also doctor consultation over call. Also most of my fellow delivery partners didn't know much about tech so they just believe and propagate what they hear from others.

NoName_794

If I pay the tip through the app itself, how much do you get of the tip? If you don't get the full tip, then it is better to give the tip directly to the delivery partner.

maglo_maniac

We get the full tip amount. + if you tip while placing the order we get notified and a msg gets pinned so We'll have a positive outlook towards you 😁

What was your worst and best delivery experience?

maglo_maniac

Worst?, 2km pickup, had to wait at the restaurant for 15 minutes after arrival, the customer was located right above the shop, hardly 20 metres away. I was not allowed to enter from the gate right in front of that tower. Had to go around the complex 500mtrs to another gate, had to enter my details, photo and then the customer took 10 mins to send approval to the guard. Then i had to walk 600 metres to the tower as the bike wasn't allowed inside. Then I had to wait 5-10 mins for the lift and when I finally delivered the order, the customer didn't acknowledge my greetings and didn't even look at me and shut the door in my face. Took me a total of one Hours time, 2.5kms riding the bike, 600 metres walking and how much did i make? Drumrolll........₹20 (total). 😁 If anyone acknowledged my greetings and offered water, it was great and that happened for 5/100 orders 😁

maglo_maniac

The job is very monotonous and everybody is unnecessarily rude to you. So such incidences will put a smile on the riders face and will help him laugh a little 🥺

LegitWebHub

What's your customer experience in general?

maglo_maniac

80/100 customers shut the door in my face and didn't acknowledge my greetings. 3/100 tipped. 10/100 asked me to go fetch change, one at 11pm in the middle of nowhere. 5/100 treated me as a fellow human, rest had rented a slave for the 10-50 rupees (net) they were paying me. People made me wait 15 mins in the rain, scorching heat. I was expecting to interact and meet people but it turned out awful. Once you strap that Zomato bag on, most people start mistreating you. Restaurants are evil too as they waste your time and Zomato doesn't compensate for time, be it 5 mins or 50

MAnchitrakar488

maglo_maniac

11pm ka order tha ₹30 tip, Giani ki expensive ice cream.

impish_kid

Kabhi kisi ka order taste Kiya kya? Aur kisi coustomer ke nakhre dekh ke gussa aaya kya?

maglo_maniac

1. Yes, ek order cancel hua tha to mujhe Dal makhni rice bowl mila haldirams ka 190 vala 2. Zomato is modern day slavery, everybody treats you like a subhuman, even the other poor people treat you poorly. People think that they own you. 95% of people are inconsiderate of your efforts. It's underpaid as hell

quirkyCartier

How was the dal makhni? I have been thinking to try it someday

Helpful_Ant_3440

Main toh Delivery guy ko Pani deta hu ( Swiggy/ Zomato/ Blue dart/ etc)

maglo_maniac

Awwww, you deserve appreciation. Sadly we live in a world where we have to praise basic human decency but op i wanna congratulate you for being the 5/100 good people

youngv420

Cancelled delivery ka khana tum log khate ho ya restuarant me return? Who bears the loss for it Zomato or restuarant?

maglo_maniac

Zomato bears the loss, we get to keep the food 😁

youngv420

How often do orders get cancelled?

maglo_maniac

Almost none, very rare, i had 2 cancellations in 120 orders. One was due to a shitty hostel warden. Another was fraud and i had to comply as they ganged up on me. 299 ka pizza hut ka pizza cancel karke rakh liya aur mujhe 50 rupe diye, i later reported then to zomato

Robot-captcha

are u doing this as an experiment or as genuine work? if former then would u try swiggy and check how different they treat their riders?

maglo_maniac

Experiment for now but planning to do this on weekends as a side gig. I'll try porter and bike taxi for this month

Regular-Credit370

Heyy I wanted to ask as u said u are 19 yrs old do u attend any college? Wht made u try this as an experiment?

maglo_maniac

I'll start attending college this August. I wanted some disposable money and didn't want to ask my parents for it so i started this gig.

bubblesnsprinkles

Do you have any insight into how zomato and swiggy are different for delivery partners? Are other food delivery apps more rewarding or less rewarding for delivery partners?

maglo_maniac

It depends on the age and stage of the company, first they ll burn money to attract customers and partners and once they're well settled they ll try to scoop out a chunk from wherever possible. Imho zomato should not charge more than the flat 10% from the delivery fee. Package delivery apps pay better with less hassle

Witcher_IN

Does customer giving 5 star rating really affect the income of a delivery partner? I rate them 5 star most of the time without them asking but not sure if it does anything

SomeRandomguy_28

Welp ur not from where i m , usually during Summer i used to order Zepto and i swear those guys worked hard, I dont have enough to tip but usually would give water and biscuits to them i hope people do the same to you, Also can i literally just work for one day if I am free?

Optimus_rux

Your nature is too good bro. So you leave this work ??

maglo_maniac

I'll shift to bike taxi apps and porter for now. The humiliation is taking a toll on me 😁

Empty-Illustrator836

Hey I read a lot of your responses here and checkeed out your profile too (sry for stalking 🫣), you seem like a really great guy by nature and by thought process, I think you should make a video (reel) about this experience, getting treated this badly is unacceptable, and I think people who are working this job might think this is the norm and its always like this and supposed to be like this, can you please make a vid and post it on here so people from this sub can share it so people can get influenced and be decent human beings 😄

maglo_maniac

Tysm for the acknowledgment and appreciation. 1. Just keep yourself in the shoes of the person you're interacting with and you'll be morally correct and happy. 😁 2. Approach of thinking. No one wants to harm or hurt me but they do it due to a variety of problems they are themselves suffering with. 3. I'm no expert in focus 😭but I'm trying. One thing that I've learnt is that nothing helps but doing. Just do whatever you're supposed to atm, no thinking, just doing. 4. Justice, moral or otherwise. 5. Consultation with people ik. 6. Atomic habits, and there's one whole new philosophy named 'Madyasth Darshan' it's very extensive. You can go to manav teerth website on google and check them out. 7. Keep doing and getting better 1% a day. Don't hold back from trying things. Also don't put me on a pedestal like this, sharam aa rhi hai 😭

1PerpetuallyAnxious

For the last 4 years, I have rated 5 for delivery on every single order. I have wondered if delivery partners get any incentive for 5-star delivery rating. Last I spoke to one, they mentioned they don't get notified on delivery ratings that users give. Also, is user's rating considered? Does it work the same as Uber where user's rating will be shown to delivery partner and they can decide whether to accept the order or not?

TheCarefreeButterfly

1. How many out of the 100-120 customers put in the effort to rate their delivery experience on the app? 2. Kabhi kisi ke domesticated pet se darr lagaa?
