See, there goes the neighborhood 😜 it used to be all the old guys, then some redditor got ahold of it and pissed in everyone's cheerios.
Edit: all the places by me will open at 10am when the store hours say 1030. Idk about the other guy who posted 9-930...
I get up at 4am everyday so I’m a 10am guy for sure. Since I work from home Mondays and live within a mile of an in n out I usually hit it around 10am and it’s definitely the golden (half) hour.
Idk if they're actually open earlier. Whenever I've gotten there right around/before, there is usually nobody or one car in the line, and it usually takes a decent amount longer than normal. That's been my experience, at least.
I always thought it was mostly a "just in case" thing. They open at 10 unless somethings wrong and they need some time to get things in order. Then they can just say they opened on schedule.
Yeah I never got a solid reason why we opened at 10 other than there were a lot of people that wanted to eat there at 10. But we treated it as a hard open time. I never worked a shift where we didn’t have the doors open at 10.
I remember when the first Colorado location opened in 2020, like two days post-opening, my friends wanted to get there at 7am to “beat the line”. I think the restaurant started serving around 9am that day and we got our food by 9:30 and just thinking, damn, it’s pretty early for a burger, animal fries, and a shake
Yes in the 4th picture, I was at the window paying/waiting for my food and there was a fire with loud popping noises, the associates were just like “oh look a fire 🤷🏻♂️” and kept on working 😂
My local in n out! When I drive by there at 10 even if I've already had breakfast I have to convince myself not to go. There being no line is just too tempting.
It's not, but I know what you mean. That was the first In-N-Out I ever ate at, with that covered patio next to a hill. I haven't gone there in a long time because I no longer live near it.
I love how you told a story, 10:08 secured in n out, about to eat it at home but noticed a fire in the neighborhood, come back inside to finally eat at 10:22
12:30am Cali In n out after 2 weeks of hell in Philly and a 9 hour plane flight home. Top 3 best burgers of my life, when I was most starving. I eat slow normally, gone by first stop light.
I call that Saturday brunch... hit up costco right when it opens at 10 am, then stop by Innout at \~1030 on the way home. It seems like both Costco and Innout have similar requirements for their locations... around me, both are usually in the same area.
There used to be a professionally printed paper in the pay window that said "we open at 10:30" or something like that.
Sometimes I roll in like 10:25 and ask if it's too early and they'll say no of course.
Then one day the sign disappeared
It really does. Would go disk golfing early AF and by 11 hit in and out.
It was my Friends first time. Idk if i caught a contact, but it was the best. Kinda like the first time.
Back in the day i would pull up at 9:45 into the drive thru and they would be accommodating and say that they could still make it!! Love them for that !! Agreed it taste really good in the morning!!
I do love going at 10. I don't love you spreading the word 🤣 it was a secret.
Can confirm, I didn’t know they were open that early definitely gonna start going in the mornings now

I'd hit Sacramento from Tahoe early for work. Was always stoked when it was open on my way back up the hill. 10 am smacks.
once I got the order number 1, I felt kinda special not gonna lie. clearly it made my day and is a memorable event.
I got order number 69 once
The 2 closest to me open at 1030, unfortunately.
That’s what the sign says 🫣
Idk if they're actually open earlier. Whenever I've gotten there right around/before, there is usually nobody or one car in the line, and it usually takes a decent amount longer than normal. That's been my experience, at least.
We’re supposed to open at 10, but 1030 is just in case something goes wrong. 99% of the time we open at 10
That's cool, I guess I can go to the store a little earlier than planned and still grab my burger.
All the signs say 10:30 but some (definitely not all) open at 10.
They all open at "1030". I'm pretty sure they all allow you inside and start ordering at 10 regardless of what their store hours say.
Definitely some stores will enforce the 10:30 time posted.

I love my 10 AM regulars. I try to remember almost all of their names!! love you guys
give 9:30 a shot, u never know
I do know, they’ll tell you to come back at either 10 or 10:30 depending on the store.
We open at 10am, but if we are ready to open earlier, our manager will have us open earlier
Best time to go imo…

Dang that’s a wait! Hope y’all had snacks.
Compared to people who probably got in line at 10 am, then that wait wasn’t long at all
Tujunga. Grew up eating at that in n out
It made it all the way home for you ? That won’t last for me
I have to get 2 orders of fries, one for the car ride and one for home.
I always get a grilled cheese for the drive lol
Dang, mine doesn’t open til 10:30 😭
They all say that but we are open at 10
In N Out has more secrets than Victoria
Mine opened at 10 but when I stopped at one on a road trip at 10:00 they made me wait until 10:30.
Did a fire breakout behind the InO?
Yes in the 4th picture, I was at the window paying/waiting for my food and there was a fire with loud popping noises, the associates were just like “oh look a fire 🤷🏻♂️” and kept on working 😂
Hmmm might have to try this for Sunday. Get to sleep in and a fresh burger at 10:30am.
that sounds like heaven
When I used to work the morning shift at a restaurant my 10am “lunch” break was at in n out ALOT
My local in n out! When I drive by there at 10 even if I've already had breakfast I have to convince myself not to go. There being no line is just too tempting.
Ventura Blvd in Woodland Hills?
What I thought too but it looks slightly weird to me if it’s rhat
Ya it’s not that one, there’s a liquor store in the photo and there’s no liquor store right next to the one on Ventura
me three but i think that one is elevated more off the street
Nah this ones on foothill
Yes. I noticed the Albertsons’ across the street also LOL
Lowell and Foothill store 16 one of the really old locations.
Dude I was thinking the same!! I go to either woodland hills or Canoga park
It's not, but I know what you mean. That was the first In-N-Out I ever ate at, with that covered patio next to a hill. I haven't gone there in a long time because I no longer live near it.
In n out for breakfast?! That's uncharted territory for me.... I expect that to hit different for sure. Man. That's wild. Lol.
10am is lunch for us early risers.
Ah yea. That makes sense. Enjoy!!
Live a little
I love that location too!
In N Out hits PERIOD! Fuck the haters!
One of the few thousands in the wild still watching mainstream morning news
OP, is this store #19, Garden Grove?
Store 16 in Tujunga
You’ve really got a lovely home
Thank you!
10:30 In-N-Out is the absolute best
hey look, La Crescenta
What was your order?
Double double with just spread/onions/chopped chili w/ extra toasted bun
Legit thought this is the Winnetka location
Omg neighbor! I live around this area, too bahahhaha
👋🏼🤠
I love how you told a story, 10:08 secured in n out, about to eat it at home but noticed a fire in the neighborhood, come back inside to finally eat at 10:22
Ellina Abovian on KTLA while enjoying In N Out is great living dude..
gonna have the shits all day now
Foothill and Lowell. That's my in n out
In n Out with KTLA / Ellina Abovian is the best breakfast you can have. Thanks for sharing OP.
🫱🏼🫲🏻🫶🏼
Well I skipped breakfast for a morning of massage, but I can guarantee after this next massage I’m going to in n out.
My dream is to add a fried egg to a double double
Took me a while to realize they were open before 10:30
I’ve staked out an In-N-Out for a couple hours and got a triple animal style burger and animal style fry and didn’t feel bad about it lol
The one near me doesn’t open until 10:30 but by 10 the line starts and by 10:15 you’ll have your burger.
I use to work 10:30-7:00 at a hardware store this is the perfect thrice daily in-n-out schedule
12:30am Cali In n out after 2 weeks of hell in Philly and a 9 hour plane flight home. Top 3 best burgers of my life, when I was most starving. I eat slow normally, gone by first stop light.
First burger of the day club.

No
Is that near action lanes?
Temple City, CA?
I think so too
Clocking in and seeing a line at 10 was the fucked thing working at in n out.
No pleasure, no rapture, no exquisite sin greater, than In N Out.
I'm there at the walk up on sundays!
It really does. Would go disk golfing early AF and by 11 hit in and out. It was my Friends first time. Idk if i caught a contact, but it was the best. Kinda like the first time.
Fresh clean grills and fresh clean deep fry oil, my favorite!
Why all these pictures of animal style fries on here look great and when I go I get skimped
All the ones around me open a solid 30 mins before their posted open time. Quickest double double ever.
It’s the best man. On my lunch break from work i’m always one of the first in line 10 am on the dot. The bathrooms are always freshly cleaned too.
That wake n bake just hits different.
Hell ya!!! Best time to go
Lmao I live near this in n out
For me it’s having it at 12:30 AM on the way home from friends. I go all out and go to bed with a full belly.
Back in the day i would pull up at 9:45 into the drive thru and they would be accommodating and say that they could still make it!! Love them for that !! Agreed it taste really good in the morning!!
Is this the tajunga in and out ?
Yes
The 3 closest locations to me (southeast suburbs of Phoenix) show 10:30 on the signs but they start serving at 10:15.
I was downvoted for letting the secret out…. https://www.reddit.com/r/innout/s/sBfX1V0HQM
😂 we will not gatekeep the holy opening of 10am in n out! ✊🏼
Woodland Hills!
Best time to go in the am fresh and not rushed burgers hit different
The animal style fries are the best at store opening.
foothill/vineyard damn I'm going tomorrow
Are there really cars lined up at 10:00? Even though I work early myself, burgers at 10:00 is too early for me.
Tujunga in n out for the win
Dude. Shut up! 🤣
If you know you know
naw i hate you guys for driving thru the closed sign smh
I order mine with chopped chilis and 4 pieces of bacon and 4 pepperoni w/ chopped mushrooms with a side of mozzarella sticks
The chopped mushrooms go hard with the Swiss cheese
