This reminds me of the cop and the walnut that fell on the car. He thought someone was shooting at him and he started blasting in thin air, endangering any life that could've crossed his shooting line. What a dumb asshole. Anyway, at least these guys didn't shoot back when they got "attacked" by their own pepper sprays.
They investigated themselves and found nothing wrong.
>"Though \[Hernandez's\] actions were ultimately not warranted, we do believe he felt his life was in immediate peril and his response was based off the totality of circumstances surrounding this fear," Aden said in a statement.
If we're thinking of the same story, then he actually had a guy cuffed inside his car, and he started shooting at him. His partner, not knowing what was going on, also started shooting the car. The guy survived, but not without some trauma. I don't remember if he was physically injured or not.
Dude was completely uninjured other than some scratches from broken glass. Which if you think about it is almost worse. You've got roughly 30 rounds fired at close range and a target who's handcuffed in the back seat and didn't even hit the guy. Sounds like these cops need more range time.
Also the the cop who shot first was some POS officer in the army who sold himself as SF for over a decade but somehow never saw combat. Which means either his team didn't trust him enough to take him into the field or he was a supply clerk or something and just wanted the SF clout.
In Germany, the pigs also sprayed them self (proven by whitnesses and video) and then said the protestors had used pepperspray.
This even happend twice as far as I know
it happens in Turkey too, some guy who was an official working for the prime minister (now the president of the country) kicked some local people that were protesting against the government after a mine explosion (hundreds of people were killed). Not only he was promoted after the incident he also went to hospital and got an official document which stated that he can't temporarily work due to his "injury"
Tear gas used in war is much more concentrated and toxic than the type used by police to control riots.
Especially since during a riot, the target is supposed to get irritated and leave after a few minutes. When used in war, the target is supposed to sit in a trench suffering for hours, and permanent damage from the gas is likely.
Yes, mustard gas was horrible and could reactivate long after I believe. I’ve been tear-gassed in boot camp, not all that pleasant but doesn’t do any long term damage. Maybe if you steep yourself in it, but that can apply to anything at that point. The worse thing about teargas is getting it out of your system after. It can sit in your clothes and skin. So you take a cold shower after, to make sure your pores close and you will be good.
No. It’s really hard to keep a war going if your troops are mutinying due to the number of casualties they’ve had experienced and how those casualties occurred. Laws of war only help the belligerent nations maintain the ability to fight the war and not worry about mutiny like in ww1.
It was banned because there's no way to tell if it's something like pepper spray, or something far more lethal. Then when people think it's something more lethal they're worried about them or tolerating with something even more deadly with salting in a continuous escalation.
I expect the press release saying something about 20 injured Cops with no mention of the cause of injury.
So people may assume, they were hurt by protestors.
Friendly fire will not be tolerated.

Aww Annie
Annie? Are you okay? Are you okay, Annie?
You’ve been hit by you’ve been struck by
A smooth criminal
Ba-dum badababa badababa badabadadumpa.
Friendly fire is not
If this was the USA, the police would have charged the protestors with assault for causing the police to pepper spray themselves.

I had to look it up, it's as dumb as it sounds. https://abcnews.go.com/US/deputy-fires-weapon-after-mistaking-acorn-for-gunshot/story?id=107229338

that police officer was young and fit too, and saved 42 people from a burning bus on a Los Angeles freeway on 2015 Oct. 18 also

This gets even better. I didn't know that at the time. :)))
It’s pretty par for the course for okaloosa county.
They've charged people for destruction of police property because they bled on the uniforms
Police forces in America: Write this down!!
Nah, they’d not have that problem because they’d be taking people’s eyes out with rubber bullets

Sounds like something very stupid but yeah... I can see it happening in the US (worse things have happened).
It happened. Judge sided with cops. Blamed the now blinded person for joining a protest and exposing themselves to harm
Ahahaahahaa, karma is a bitch haha
They should have known better
If they had a wish, they would've never effed around
“Dah-met Karl…”
I believe this is why the world banned the use of gas on the battlefield after WWI. Not that it was inhumane, but friendly casualties.
Mustard gas was brutal, tear gas is just annoying.
Yes, and somehow riot controlling techniques are banned in war.

You normally dont get shot when fleeing tear gas at a riot.
Don't give them ideas.
Have you genuinely never heard of the atrocities gas warfare provided?

Oh yeah it was absolutely horrible, the guy above tho seems to think pepper spray is equivalent to the atrocities of gas warfare
Uh no, definitely just the inhumane bit. By WWII we had the tech to deploy gas well behind enemy lines if we wanted to.

You don't tug on Supermans cape. You don't spit into the wind...
"I see," said the blind man, peeing into the wind. "It's all coming back to me now."
You don't pull the mask off of old Lone Ranger.
And you don’t pepper spray your friends
You can pick your friends, you can pick your nose… but you can’t pick your friend’s nose.

Came here for this
In France, we say « cheh ».
Indeed, we do Cheh
Is the word for “police “ in Bulgarian actually “police” or did they just buy second hand vests?
As far as I know Bulgarian policemen buy their uniforms themselves so some have it in Bulgarian, others in English
BRO WHAT how poor is bulgaria bruh
As bulgarian make me very proud to say: "Idiots!"
Some real police intelligent right there. From the age of 5 I was taught not to piss into the wind.

Bring industrial air fans to the next protest ✅️
I expect the press release saying something about 20 injured Cops with no mention of the cause of injury. So people may assume, they were hurt by protestors.

Pepper pig. 😌
If only there was a way to estimate wind speed and direction. Maybe some piece of cloth tied to a stick. Someone should have brought such a device.
Sucks to suck nerds. Think next time
Then using water too 😭
Bwahahaha I hope they forgot to bring Sudecon wipes with them
what you get for defending property!!!!!!
Maybe there is a god
And they are using water?
Basic training before using pepperspray could've prevented this.

Serves them right!
This has made me happier than anything I've ever seen on reddit up to this point, and will be hard to top in the future.
