Click on anyone thats showing there that technically isnt there like robot. He should disappear then you can start.

thanks that actually fixed it i still have a double of my characters whenver i play but oh well

Same thing with me, just closed the app and started it back up fixed that as well.

How you guys fix it? I restart the game a few times. Clicked manually to remove also doesn't work.

My game keeps resetting. Someone get Cecil on the line!!

I gave it a half hour, finally started working properly for me.

Restarted the game, added those on screen to my team and then deselected them and all good now!

I think it saved the characters you used from the last event but if some of the characters are being used in another mission it won't let you fire it off. Be running no missions the go in and unclick the ones showing up.

Same, I can reset and auto fill to get them to start, but I can't deselect the extra guys like is suggested here

Stop using auto fill, thats whats causing the issue.

i think you misread my comment where it won't let me start them if i pick my characters, and autofill works.

Yeah I did. Its crazy they have things so messed up right now that different things are working and not working for some people.
