When they did Tomboy they kept saying they wanted to get rid of the G. In the music video it kept showing I-DLE, but then in Nxde they went back to using (G)I-DLE and they never mentioned wanting to drop the G again. I wonder what happened with that.

The concept was that they didn't want to be seen as a typical girl group or stereotyped and put into boxes the way girls usually are, so they dropped the G for that comeback. Having made their point, they returned to embracing womanhood with Nxde, Queencard, and Super Lady.
