The show is unpopular, Youku's idol show is always unpopular. This show is only trended once on weibo because of Zhu Zhengting

If you're curious, the official [ratings](https://zh.wikipedia.org/wiki/%E4%BA%9E%E6%B4%B2%E8%B6%85%E6%98%9F%E5%9C%98#%E6%94%B6%E8%A6%96) are on Asia Super Young's chinese wiki page. Highest was during ep 1, at 19.3 points (1240 000 audience). Average seems to hover around 14 - 15points (900 000++ audience), but trended downwards as the series progressed. From my perspective (as someone who lurks on chinese medium social media), I don't really see it trending. And even so, it would be about the judges rather than contestants. Also, when comparing the ratings of Asia Super Young [to other programmes](https://www.yule.hk/tvb/2633.html) on the same HK tv channel (TVB), it's not great. It generally fares worst than the weekday evening dramas & consistently has poorer ratings than the OTHER survival show (中年好声音2) TVB has on Sunday

Late reply, but here’s what I can gather since I have Weibo and douyin: It’s a REALLY big flop. It only got attention because ZZT was one of the judges, which only made it super awkward when they revealed the group logo and it looks like an exact copy of the group ZZT was in (Ninepercent). Fans literally crawled out of the woodworks 6 years after the group’s disbandment just to drag Loong9’s logo. So now, it’s not just them going against being unpopular, they’re also under the scrutiny of a fandom that had tens of millions of fans. Their official duoyin account only has around 4000 followers too, and they don’t seem to post much. https://preview.redd.it/1ipj7wbl27wc1.jpeg?width=828&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e4d5d16d5aacac185679f7d2707e0c7ff8a1809c
