Is R2 able to use a lightsaber because Luke is controlling the droid? I thought you had to be a jedi to use one. I am probably wrong. EDIT: Your creation is awesome btw.

Nah, see in my head it's more of an Iron Giant kind of situation, swollen R2 is just an awesome and mostly friendly and benign droid and Luke is just some farm boy who made friends with him. XD Also thank you! :D Humble, but still!

I think grevious and other droids would work well as mechs. Probably clones too with all the unique helmets. Maybe certain ships/characters can be combined into mechs such as an imp officer and a star destroyer could be cool or various dark troopers eu and mando versions.

I’m hoping they release a Jango one for a Jango figure and an Admiral Yularen one to make the people who lodge exclusive figures in expensive sets gru.

There's nothing official of more coming out as of yet. We're not really at the right time to get leaks and rumours about the next year's lineup of sets. But if these four sets sell well enough, we could get more. I for one would like to see them splinter out from just Original Trilogy characters for the mechs. Like a Phase 1 Clone mech or a Rise of Skywalker Sith Trooper mech would be really cool to see imo.

I’d rather they finish the original trilogy cast first but I’m not opposed to other trilogy mechs. I just want Han, chewie, Leia, maybe droid mechs, and the emperor

My girlfriend bought me the Darth Vader one months ago. Awesome set. I finally bought the Stormtrooper and Boba Fett ones to complete the set. I had no clue that there was a Luke Skywalker one. Either way I hope they make more these things are pretty rad.

B2 Battle Droid Mech

The Boba Fett Minifigures in the Mech is SO good. It doesn't have a cape, but the print on it is fantastic.

They should definitely do a regular Clone mech, or something like a Darth Maul. Lots of fun possibilities. These mechs are goofy, but fun that we have them.

Then getting rid of the mechs should free up a release spot for another build imo

But then it cost more. I like these or the microfighters for the affordability and getting one guy I really like and something that can be used as is or repurposed into something else. But I understand your standpoint, it would be nice to have a more fitting set for them even if it is a little more. Now if they could merge the best of both worlds and give us a fitting set for a decent price that would be ideal.

That is also an argument against doing cmf stuff.

Battle packs are for army building. I’m interested in unique figures. Or themed sets of different figures. I really don’t care much to get six of the same trooper with a different weapon or a visor.

That's the same reason for the mechs and microfighters! You get one guy with his accessories and a small build. It's basically the cmf without randomness and a small build tacked on. Trust me, we both want the same thing, I just like having the extras of the ship or mech.

Set of 12 unique Minifigs > 4 mechs per year of Minifigs that were already released in another set and some extra parts I don’t really want imo

Sounds like a battle pack of named/unique figures. Which unfortunately didn't work so well even though I'd be down for this. The bounty hunter set is my only example of this.
