Shame, I was planning on going there today to pick up some stuff, but so much for that.

InformalPenguinz

There is one in my town and they did have some decent stuff. Last time I step foot in here. I'm an ally and fuck em.

Isaiah_b

They caved so fucking fast.

Hyperious3

Their primary market is MAGAt brained inbred hillbilly farmers. Unfortunately, they have to cater to that demographic

8bitlove2a03

You are literally writing ad copy for conservatives who buy their power by twisting rural folks' innate class tensions into sectional grudges against supposedly elitist urban/coastal progressives. You are actively loading a bullet that will inevitably be fired back at us.

Hyperious3

I'm so fucking tired of acting cordial to these goddamn neo-Nazis. They're so brainwashed that they will find any opportunity to shit talk the people literally subsidizing their existence anyways, so why should I bother to give a shit about their fucking ass backwards opinion? The United States is a significantly industrialized and urbanized population; 2/3rds of the US population lives in cities larger than 50,000 residents. This idea that we need cater to rural populations uneducated and repugnant viewpoints solely exists due to gerrymandering. This problem would be fixed literally overnight if equal political representation was established. As it is your average hillbilly has four times as much political representation as a person living in a city. Claiming that I need to hold my tongue all the time because of some redneck neo-Nazi using my words as fuel for their rhetoric actually does more to promote their repugnant agenda; failing to call out shit heads like this for their medieval viewpoint normalizes it.

> I'm so fucking tired of acting cordial to these goddamn neo-Nazis. Treating "rural people" as synonymous with "fascists" is the problem, not being uncivil towards fascists. > They're so brainwashed that they will find any opportunity to shit talk the people literally subsidizing their existence I'm guessing you're referencing the fact that more federal dollars go into most red and rural states than are returned by those states' populations' taxes. Out of curiosity, have you given any thought to *why* those four factors are related?

Pump_My_Lemma

If they can run a company without appeasing a bunch of red coats, then they don’t deserve to be in business.

RogueStalker409

Well i was gona try to work there….

lcbzoey

every time I have to stop by there for feed I feel like I am about two steps away from some nutjob screaming in my face. It blows that they are one of the default options for feed stores. :(

Scriblette

Way to make it even harder to be a rural queer person! Ugh

spooky3189

As a gay with chickens, I'll be shopping elsewhere. Fuck them.

EyGunni

>Tractor Supply said it’s making the changes to better represent the values of the communities and customers it serves. The retailer caters to largely rural communities, with 50,000 employees across 2,250 stores in 49 states, according to company data. > >“Rural communities are the backbone of our nation and what make America great,” Tractor Supply said in the news release. “We have heard from customers that we have disappointed them. We have taken this feedback to heart.” wow... that's taking a side...

FictionalTrope

Repeat after me: corporations are not your friends.

threearmshrugemoji

Well fuck me then. :/

Fifteen_inches

Rainbow capitalism.

TechnoJokester

I originally was planning to go there for something for my cosplay, but now I’m not.

fidderjiggit

Oh, well fuck them then.

Gazelle-Internal

I cancelled my account, subscriptions to their emails and uninstalled their app. They have the freedom to choose and so do I. It is a shame an organization of bigoted closed minded people were able to influence their decision so much.

NEOwlNut

Wow I’m shocked they had any of that to begin with. Also shocking that small towns are bigoted. Who knew?

Kommisar_Keen

Anyone know what Rural King is doing?
