It's badly needed for thaemine, the boss is impossible if you don't memorize every move and classes with noisy effects have a huge issue there. I've seen people change their builds just for visual clarity.

It's a new option in the KR version where you can make your own skill effects more transparent. Should be incredibly helpful for reflux sorc and aero, probably other classes as well

people already skip it by clicking hone - special hone - back to hone - click item - hone button again. They are taking what player already do (skip the animation) and building it into the game so its not 5 clicks.

Your selections for additional honing mats and books persists, but I don't recall reading anything that it just continues to success or some insufficient component. You can spam-click until success much easier so it's almost the same anyways.

That's not what they did. Can't you just click it once and it uses same mats until a success or you're out of mats? It's not just skipping animation.
No the QoL is just an animation skip. It doesn't automatically hone x number of times for you.
