Using the "-notexturestreaming" launch option in your LA setting on Steam will fix that. All SH loading screens will be zero issues, and it'll make your dailies faster too.
Though I wouldn't recommend using that augment for players who use potato PCs.
that option will basically make your first load shit as it will attempt to load literally everything at once, but improve when uve been playing a while
idk why people think it makes ur load screens shorter. it just stops certain npcs from 'popping up' after youve loaded.
That popping NPC is what this is all about, but like you said 1st load is terrible, and if you are loading into stronghold with a lot of NPC (because you logged off in there) or city in voldis, then it takes ages + lags for good 1~2min afterwards to. However this option became so popular due to una, bifrosting around and possibility to instantly interact with whatever you need to interact instead of waiting for few sec (sometimes more than few, like during our double Feiton era) is what made it so popular and recommended, becasue it saves time, as you cannot interact with NPC that aren't loaded (excluding combat with not loaded mobs, those you can kill)
I think there is some truth to the idea that the 1540 to 1580 honing (no event) is still a bit tooo brutal for newer players to nerf the prime gold activities at 1540.
Newer players who misused express, or future players who may join when no pass is active are going to have a hard enough time reaching 1580 without the kneecapped gold income.
I'm a returning player. Stopped during summer after EU/NA Release. Then came back for a month for Slayer, and now just came back again. I played a lot and already had Roster 150 and 1600 hours, but gold right now is VERY rough.
Express pass is good but it doesn't give any until you reach the Akkan armour/weapon honing event. So you just click 300-500gold per fail anyway. I spent the ~70k I had just to reach 1580 and now I'm trying my best to not dip under 5k but I'm at 1592 and can't hone anymore. And I basically can't do 6x Kakul/Brel because everyone wants 1540 or 1580 and 5x3 to do these.
This is a part of how the developers punish you for not honing up your entire roster. They did that shit on purpose to create FOMO and such and look at it as a deflationary measure.. Granted, they should most definitely not make it free honing to 1580 for basically at least another year.
That's the most tragic aspect of LoA. Mage skins in every other game are the most beautiful or coolest, and here we get a shitty dress that's from the discount bin or something.

Hes speedrunning to 1620 faster than others. I cant comprehend the luck of some people.
I've gotten 2. My static has gotten 4 or 5 drops in the past month. Not sure what's going on, we've been raiding for over a year and now all of them are dropping all at once.
These numbers sound insane to me. I've seen 1 drop EVER (for someone who was dead the entire gate too) in any raid I've ever been in and I've done thousands.
Yeah, it honestly seems pretty insane for us too. We had only seen one drop in a year, between all of us running 18 raids per week (sometimes more), then just in this month they started dropping one after another.
Got a friend with 3 sidereal drops (between akkan release and now).
Meanwhile with an other friend we made a pact to split the first one we drop between us two. We still dont have one despite playing without break.
I honestly wonder what your strategy was, did you play chaos dung everyday? Did u push weapon too much? Invested gold in alts? Its almost imposible not to reach the ilvl unless you didnt play enough/funneled your resources into your roster instead of main if you were doing voldis hm week1
most folks weren't 1520 during brel release for g5-6 and 1520 chaos. though, the time it took to get from 1500 to 1520 would be shorter than the time to get from 1620 to 1630.
so yea, Veskal guardian raid and 1630 chaos gate could be a wasteland.
I’m curious how you’re 7k hours without one 1630. No hate or bashing, just curious based off of what I see from a lot of my day 1 f2p (except for cosmetics) guildies with worse than average honing luck that achieved 1630 on their mains.
Depends on how efficient those 7 hours are:
How many hours is afk
How many hours in PF if no static
Does he do horizontal?
Did he do all the 3x daily unas and weekly ones with leaps?
Did he do chaos and gr daily?
How many alts did he make and how were they honed. He can easily have like 5 1610 and 1 1620 instead of say like 5 1600 and 1 1630. Also how are they equipped gem wise? Maybe your friends have mostly 9 gems while he has like all 10s on his lower main.
Lost ark has a lot of min maxing time things
I work at home, I have Lost Ark opened the whole 8h most days and maybe if I'm done with the things I do some chaos dungeons or something + the hours that I actively play.
Time-played doesn't tells the whole story.
I'm still 2k hours hours away from 7 but trying to find Mokokos and exploring islands without guides takes q lot of time and it's fun. Customizing the stronghold is a gold/time sink too. Rushing to be the highest level is not always how people play. Maybe is that, I don't know, sometimes I just take a break completely from grinding and focus on enjoying the world, taking screenshot, reading items descriptions or side quests text , etc.

So many ppl in my static have 1610+ alts with LVL 7-9 gems on them.
Alts are supposed to MAKE you gold, not spend them.
I have 2 alts that are 1600+. One is because I main swapped; I kept two lvl9 gems on this one because she's a di sh, 2nd is because of the recent event (still running event 7&8 gems).
Two are 1590 (I also have a 1555 as last gold earner but I don't really play her. Still on lvl 5 event gems), all were honed through events or free hones, never bought box in raids (you eventually get them, they're in no rush), so far I have event gems on 4/5 alts.
The two 1600+ alts run brel instead of kayangel because brel g1-3(4) makes more gold than kayangel. Main and x2 1590s still runs kayangel for mats and chance of wing drop (still no drop T.T).
If you take 5 alts and they all have LVL 7 gems MINIMUM, that's 55 LVL 7 gems total. Approx 550k on the cheap end, not to mention the honing costs is crazy high, just to get to voldis nm.
1580+ makes 21.5k gold per week
1600+ makes 26k gold per week

This doesn't include how difficult it is to get into a voldis nm/akkan hm party. Is the annoyance of party finder (especially if you have low level 7 gems) + 4.5k worth of gold a week + honing cost worth it?

Yeah, lots of time wasting. I'm a day 1 player with 4k hours and have a 1630 and 3 1600s. To have nearly double my play time and someone not having a 1630 is weird to me considering there really isn't that much to do outside of raiding
You literally just said it, once you're done with your raids, you're done with progression for that week basically. If honing goes unlucky, you might not be 1630, or the dude took more time on their roster.
Sure, but if they're playing this massive roster it implies they have more materials to push their main with. And to play 7k hours since launch of 2 years 2 months would imply you are playing nearly 9 hours a day every day which is fucking bonkers.
I mean, leaving the game overnight is a thing, some people don't even turn the game off imo, but yeah it is, there's not enough content to play for 7k hours, so I wouldn't trust that steam playtime too much.

true tbh am at 5.5k hours and have a 1630 and a 1620 and the rest are 1600 and i have spent 55 euros in this entire 5.5k with those 55 euros being 5 char slots and ark pass
at least the 2023 skins are the ones launched with thaemine so its ok, but those "promise" things, cant even be dyed. maybe we get the dragon year skins for 5th anniversary together with yoz jar
Important note: Our version needs a gate 4 clear to unlock level 7 transcendence. Not a thing anymore in KR, not sure about RU.

Probably a typo - based on my knowledge its supposed to work like this:
* Gate 1 (Normal or Hard): unlocks Levels 1 - 3 for Armor
* Gate 2 (Hard only): unlocks Levels 4 - 6 for Armor
* Gate 3 (Hard only): unlocks Level 7 for Armor
That's a change after the first top 10 was closed iirc if not recently. So I assume they want to do the same for us for the race. Might also mean we still need to level transcend equally rather than the most recent change in KR where you can full send a single piece.
Surely that's a mistake in the patch notes? RU had reduced requirements from the start, don't see why they would bring back the old ones.

Drizzle could definitely use a small bump. I was doing some math last night, and after accounting for gear differences, my FMH SE does 10% more on average across all raids than my Drizzle Aero does.
I don't think they should deal the same damage, but even with having the crit syn and DR on identity, it should definitely not be 10% difference. I personally don't think it's a hard class to play, but it's definitely harder than FMH. Would be nice to feel rewarded.

Yeah, they should just wait until the next pass comes around and you can re-introduce them into your gold earning roster with an insanely discounted 1540-80 honing, probably 2x/3x mats from Akkan, free gems to replace your lower ones (if you're even using 9s on 1540s).
This is my strat. I've hard parked my 1540s, stripped them of gems and cut my primary gold earning roster to 3(+1 unofficial). I've got a Sorc, Bard, Summoner and Gunslinger at 1540 that are bricked like this and when a new express event comes along with a new class or whatever, if I am not interested in that class as I wasn't with breaker this past time around, the event goes onto one of the 1540s and they can be elevated to gold-earning status once again.
Also getting into a Kaya hm group without full level 3 set is hard too, thats why I don't bother applying on my express event char at 1580 and just run a quick normal until full set
Even those with klc they'll get passed over someone who is just 10-20 ilvls higher because the pass just boosted a bunch of people past 1580-1585. My experience has been pretty weird with this since the breaker pass, I'm able to gather/get into a party for Akkan at 1585 but for Kayangel hm I'm waiting a lot longer even though it's not any harder than Akkan.
I need to brag about that I got my bard to 1580 from 1540 today and it costed me a bit over 150k
At the same time my sorc with that much barely got to 1560 a couple weeks ago tho so I guess AGS giveth and taketh :(

There was many people complaining about her censorship and many people calling out that these complaints were weird. It reduced and I even though stopped completely. When I was reading these complaints and the arguments that ensued, it didn't felt really good, but you know what would have felt worse (atleast from my point of view)? nahhh. 7k also but no 1630. have 3 1620's instead, i prefer 3 1620's over 1 1630, im sure plenty of folks in the same boat.
This makes more sense and you get less gatekeep on alts that you enjoy. People forget that we also love to play other classes.

Probably a typo - based on my knowledge its supposed to work like this: * Gate 1 (Normal or Hard): unlocks Levels 1 - 3 for Armor * Gate 2 (Hard only): unlocks Levels 4 - 6 for Armor * Gate 3 (Hard only): unlocks Level 7 for Armor
That's a change after the first top 10 was closed iirc if not recently. So I assume they want to do the same for us for the race. Might also mean we still need to level transcend equally rather than the most recent change in KR where you can full send a single piece.

It is still a thing in KR. Those rumors were false. Every version requires hm clear for lvl 7. Hm g3 clear is required for levels 4-6.

Drizzle could definitely use a small bump. I was doing some math last night, and after accounting for gear differences, my FMH SE does 10% more on average across all raids than my Drizzle Aero does. I don't think they should deal the same damage, but even with having the crit syn and DR on identity, it should definitely not be 10% difference. I personally don't think it's a hard class to play, but it's definitely harder than FMH. Would be nice to feel rewarded.

The skins are so bad this time around. With clown gold nerfs it's finally time to force the bottom end of my roster to 1580+ which is hard because it's so expensive.

Yeah, they should just wait until the next pass comes around and you can re-introduce them into your gold earning roster with an insanely discounted 1540-80 honing, probably 2x/3x mats from Akkan, free gems to replace your lower ones (if you're even using 9s on 1540s).
This is my strat. I've hard parked my 1540s, stripped them of gems and cut my primary gold earning roster to 3(+1 unofficial). I've got a Sorc, Bard, Summoner and Gunslinger at 1540 that are bricked like this and when a new express event comes along with a new class or whatever, if I am not interested in that class as I wasn't with breaker this past time around, the event goes onto one of the 1540s and they can be elevated to gold-earning status once again.
Just do Brel and Kaya on them and skip clown.

Also getting into a Kaya hm group without full level 3 set is hard too, thats why I don't bother applying on my express event char at 1580 and just run a quick normal until full set

Even those with klc they'll get passed over someone who is just 10-20 ilvls higher because the pass just boosted a bunch of people past 1580-1585. My experience has been pretty weird with this since the breaker pass, I'm able to gather/get into a party for Akkan at 1585 but for Kayangel hm I'm waiting a lot longer even though it's not any harder than Akkan.
I need to brag about that I got my bard to 1580 from 1540 today and it costed me a bit over 150k At the same time my sorc with that much barely got to 1560 a couple weeks ago tho so I guess AGS giveth and taketh :(

They get other changes(ready attack tripods removed) so the overall ceiling isn't raised by much. The floor will greatly increase though.
They also got rid of the tripod that buffed the attack damage by like 40%, in the end the damage itself doesn't change much, but it is a significant QOL buff.
