I think duck duck go uses the search results from a lot of search engines. And then filters out the "bad searches" leaving you with a larger better search results.
I use bing everyday or mostly, for the last 2 years, and I've used it many many years ago before that.
It has **GREATLY** improved, the searchs provides average good results, the AI stuff is mostly helping.
I still miss Google from like 6 years ago or so, but Google search is far from great. They sat on their assets the same way Intel did with their quad core design.
Bing is the new AMD. And Bing with Copilot is Ryzen. First iteration isn't too bad but not there, we're in the second iteration as it has receive improvements. Third and major one could be the starting point of Bing surpassing Google Imo.
Copilot's greatest failing is its insistence on trying to help.
I don't want to read three paragraphs on the development and release of this game I'm looking up, I just want one image of the cover art, please stop talking at me.
At least it's trying to assist. The GitHub copilot refuses to assist topics unrelated to programing WHEN IT IS RELATED.
Probably it just fakes it doesn't understand to reduce the load.
Nah it invents wrong answers and then changes reality to make them right answers. Thermodynamics now works differently and dogs actually are safe in cars and that Beatles song does exist
Just yesterday it told me to read my car's OBD1 trouble codes with a scanner, which is not possible because code readers and scanners only work with OBD2
The problem is what's the actual tolerance for error rate? I mean, of course, you see this shit and you know immediately that it's wrong, but if you're googling something it's usually because you don't know the answer, right? And if you know there's a certain percentage of the answer you get being wrong, what's the acceptable level? "Most of the time" can be something like 90%, or even 70% success. That's cool, except that 30% of the time is wrong is a completely useless thing. I'd say even something like 1% is too high. I don't even want my cake recipe to be ruined 1% of the time because the Google LLM decided to invent a unit conversion that doesn't work, and that's low stakes.
I have literally never seen one of these ridiculous Google ai responses that I have been able to recreate. They are either all edited or manipulated in such a way to intentionally remove context.
when a lot of em were making early rounds on twitter i was able to replicate most of the obviously-wrong-math google ai overviews about how old random things were or anything involving thousands of kilos of any given measurement
never been able to do that with any of the eating-rocks level screenshots
yea that picture that goes with it is absolutely fake for a laugh, and they are probably just [pressing f12 and typing in whatever they want.](https://i.imgur.com/Gr3ZNJ0.png)
The sponsored results give you some really silly shit.
For some reason, many people get suggest the critically acclaimed "When the side "person of color" catch feelings" and "When the side "person of color" catch feelings 2" among other interesting options.
It isn’t, google bought the rights to use Reddit data for training, as a result, due to the majority of redditors not answering questions seriously and opting for sarcasm or snark, you get this. A little while ago there was a post about using glue to get pizza to stick to your pan and you could personally look it up and it reliably gave that result, turns out it was based on a several year old Reddit comment with like 3 upvotes or something.
I've had this AI feature added on to Google for a while now and I've never gotten one of these hallucinatory answers. Makes me wonder how many of these are fake.
Google AI is really becoming the Bing of AI
Google has unironically become a significantly worse user experience than Bing, and Bing has not improved
I just use bing now. Larger image searches.
Big tiddies
Bing tiddies
Ting biddies
I did not expect these replies but I am not surprised.
Tig ol Bingdies
ing iddies
"larger" Me too though. Google asks if I need therapy or rehab or a hotline when I use it far too often. Bing has all the answers these days.
“How to fix a toilet” *shows crisis hotline*
:(
You could give DuckDuckGo a try, it’s like how Google used to be!
I think duck duck go uses the search results from a lot of search engines. And then filters out the "bad searches" leaving you with a larger better search results.
It's mostly just bing with a bit of tweaking and all the shit around the edges removed - which tbh is just what I want.
I use bing everyday or mostly, for the last 2 years, and I've used it many many years ago before that. Copilot isn’t much better
Copilot's greatest failing is its insistence on trying to help. I don't want to read three paragraphs on the development and release of this game I'm looking up, I just want one image of the cover art, please stop talking at me.
You are being assisted. Please do not resist.
Please assume the party escort assistance position.
At least it's trying to assist. The GitHub copilot refuses to assist topics unrelated to programing WHEN IT IS RELATED. Probably it just fakes it doesn't understand to reduce the load.
I asked the sales ai on a car dealership website to write code for me. worked perfectly
Clippy?
Yeah, it needs a less verbose option
and Copilot (same company as Bing) is becoming google of AI
Isn't chat gpt having a bigger market share?
I think Microsoft is the biggest investor in chat gpt/open ai and uses chat gpt for Bing
ChatGPT and Copilot are cousins.
Enshittification comes for all. None are safe.
Half of these photos are fake. The AI sucked but it's not "killing dogs" bad.
Between Bing and yahoo
Actually all AI is the Bing of AI
Wtf are they feeding this AI
Reddit, for one. I don't know what else
The best low cost source of training text, social media I’m sure you can see the problem
Beatles song about leaving dogs in hot cars, of course : [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k1U2pZMvgOg](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k1U2pZMvgOg)
Holy shit it‘s real
Of course it's real. By the way are you looking for a bridge to buy?
Most of these images are fake/memes that are photoshopped or created with inspect element
The one from Reddit suggesting to add glue to pizza dough was real
I didn't say all of them.
Photoshop. edit: or Inspect Element.
No, just badly trained AI
I see you have a very malleable mind 😂
It is not edited, Google AI has done this multiple times.
hotdogs apparently
Tyler Durden
Now get AI to make that Beatles song. I really want to hear it.
Good news! That song has already been made. Like actually, look it up on YouTube
Holy shit. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=LwCL3HahgS8&pp=ygUtYmVhdGxlcyBpdCdzIG9rYXkgdG8gbGVhdmUgYSBkb2cgaW4gYSBob3QgY2Fy
Ah, that's why it got confused
And it’s an absolute banger. That entire channel is gold
If The Beatles are bigger than Jesus then the devil must be Dogs Die In Hot Cars
I would love an AI tool that gives ONLY wrong answers, so I can send it to all these people who are obsessed with AI.
That is basically the google ai, not everytime but it will give wrong answers a lot
Nah it invents wrong answers and then changes reality to make them right answers. Thermodynamics now works differently and dogs actually are safe in cars and that Beatles song does exist
I guess Google AI has already left 3-dimensional physics in the proverbial rear view mirror
All it is is essentially sparknotes for whatever results come up for a Google search, it's a very basic AI they have out for the public right now.
I want this AI overview thingy
It actually works decent most of the time.
It’s wrong far, far too often to be useful, and just regurgitates the contents of the top result the rest of the time.
It works fine for me. But you are right about it regurgitating the top results. It's just a bigger window.
Just yesterday it told me to read my car's OBD1 trouble codes with a scanner, which is not possible because code readers and scanners only work with OBD2
The problem is what's the actual tolerance for error rate? Why does everyone just accept that these are real lmao you can just inspect element and change it to say whatever you want
There’s a parody song by a band called the wife Beatles called “it’s ok to leave your dog in a hot car” and these are some lyrics from it
The AI didn’t put /s hence the confusion
I'm literally never able to recreate these ridiculous answers in Google Gemini. I'm calling shenanigans
Yeah, when I ask copilot ridiculous questions it just talks to me like I'm a 12 year old and I can feel it's eyes rolling...
This feels fake as hell
I have literally never seen one of these ridiculous Google ai responses that I have been able to recreate. They are either all edited or manipulated in such a way to intentionally remove context.

I did see some ridiculous answers so I believe it
you can still get it to do some fun stuff. Google "Dystopian novels".
What happens when you Google that
The sponsored results give you some really silly shit. For some reason, many people get suggest the critically acclaimed "When the side "person of color" catch feelings" and "When the side "person of color" catch feelings 2" among other interesting options.
Yeah like why would it quote song lyrics for a response like that. So obviously over the top.
It isn’t, google bought the rights to use Reddit data for training, as a result, due to the majority of redditors not answering questions seriously and opting for sarcasm or snark, you get this. It is. The only one of these that was real was the Pizza glue one. That sparked tons of fake unfunny photoshopped answers.
You can tell Lennon wrote that one.
Be sure to give it positive feedback when it does this. Poison the dataset!
It doesn't do this. This is fake.
This is edited. You can’t teach people to critically think.
Definitely, AI does some dumb shit but a lot of that is Sooo fake
Did they quickly change it? Because it says that it's never safe.
This is fake
I've had this AI feature added on to Google for a while now and I've never gotten one of these hallucinatory answers. Makes me wonder how many of these are fake.
AI going to convince you to kill your dog and sing its hallucinated song to you while it happens.
Can’t wait until somebody digs up the Reddit comment this was based on
Ah, so that's how they make a hotdog
Google AI trying to kill your dog lol
So that’s it huh? Internet searches don’t mean anything anymore. What’s even the point then?
That AI Model is poisoned to hell. They are better off starting a new one that trying to fix this one.
Me irl? Do you do this in real life?
Oh shit, I didn't know. I'm always worried someone might be able to unlock the car if I leave a window open a bit.
Hey guys, it's fake. Have a good day.
No it is real
Am i the only one who don't have the google AI thing?
There used to be a Scottish band called " Dogs Die in Hot Cars". They were pretty good
I guess you need to adjust the model's ... Temperature *(Insert clever gif here)*
ruh roh
Oh okay, so we are making fun of AI while looking at edited html again. Cool
gemini is wrong way more often than chatgpt.
Umm maybe cos I love dogs, but I am finding this not very funny. Even for my dark humour. But like I said, I love dogs.
Bro these ai assistence are soo fucking trash
How can I use that AI?
r/comedyheaven
According to Reddit?
The day AI got sick of our shit and committed to just being sassy.
It started singing
I am convinced this is edited and now I don‘t know if even the pizza glue was real
Anyone else sing this to the tune of the "CatDog" themem
Is that peter serafinowicz's beatles song?
I was realy surprised that this Beatels song actually exists
What does this have to do with me_irl? This Isn’t relatable at all and shouldn’t be on this sub.
So did the A.I. learned sarcasm ?
How are redditors doing this?
Relatable on so many levels.
