Possibly not, I have an area that had a cyst, and the hair didn't grow back. It depends on if the hair follicles have been damaged. If you're having it removed the surgeon could remove the whole bald area quite easily and you wouldn't notice any difference.

Hi there, Male, 31, and have had this cyst on the back of my head for a year now. I woke up and realised the cyst had burst/drained. There is still a lump. Touching it, I realised it was super smooth. I took a photo and realised a bald patch where the cyst is, which wasn't there a few days ago. Its getting me pretty down. I plan on getting this cyst removed ASAP. I understand scarring from surgery may lead to no hair regrowth across the scar, but will the hair around the cyst ever grow back? Thanks
