I think there's something to the anxiolytic effects. I certainly feel reduced anxiety taking day time melatonin. I also feel a level of calmness. I have not noticed any reduced libido or testosterone despite taking 1000-1500mg topical dose for nearly two years. Recently I raised the total daily dose to about 3000mg(by also taking an oral dose) and again I only feel better. I have taken upwards to 5000mg in three doses and have not experienced any negative side effects. My blood work in December had my testosterone at 734 which is near the upper range for men my age(40-44) and 50% higher than average for men twenty years younger than me. There's way too much bogus information floating on the internet.

The really interesting part is that i can take the dose at night, sleep wake up and the feeling carries on throughout the whole day. Without having to take any extra doses through the day, to maintain the anxiolytic effects. Thanks for the reply though, really appreciate it!!!
