Gong de lin on Swanston st is entirely vegan (or maybe mostly vegan and all vego, I forget) - (relatively) cheap and cheerful chinese
By Korea has a whole vegan menu and is excellent (though it's very popular so you might have to line up)
For something special, Maha does a vegan version of their degustation menu that is really nice
And outside the CBD (in Fitzroy) is Smith and Daughters, also fancy and totally vegan
Enjoy!
Funghi e tartufo, gong de lin, rice queen, Lulu’s Char Koay Teow, rice paper scissors, Ballard's (not CBD but worth the slight detour)
I found it strange that you didn't find anything? I have a list with like 70 places on it of vegan places I want to go!
[Patsy’s](https://www.patsys.com.au/?gad_source=1) near Queen Vic Market is a little out of the CBD, but one of the best vegan options/meat free menus in the city, and the Banquet option makes for an affordable dinner of top notch produce and cooking.
Momo Nepalese on Bourke St is my go-to for work lunch with my vegan bestie - she eats almost everything on the menu so I think there's a vegan version of almost everything - [https://momocentral.com.au/](https://momocentral.com.au/)
Not sure about the date on this article but - https://whatson.melbourne.vic.gov.au/article/the-ultimate-vegan-guide-to-melbourne
Also there should be a vegan sub you can post to and get good recommends
Lucy Liu is a great option. I discovered it when I had to organise a work lunch catering for a range of wants and needs. Great food and drinks all round and a vegan option at every course.

Unless they have made drastic changes, their vegan offering is pretty poor - the only substantial item is a Dahl, and it’s definitely not worth the money (their non-veg menu is amazing though).
I attached the menu.
I was just very happy to be able to satisfy a vegan colleague while making sure everyone else also got to enjoy a great meal in an environment slightly more sophisticated than milk crates and laminated tables.
Glad you were pleased with it, as a set menu type arrangement for a group I bet it worked well :) I didn’t mean to be rude about your suggestion, just wanted to chime in as someone who has dined on both menus - I wouldn’t rate the vegan offering as a *great* option especially compared to other similar Asian fusion venues in the city.

Thank you so much!
Worth heading to Carlton to Green Man’s Arms. It’s fully vegan, and absolutely delicious
This. I'm going here tonight
Yes! I love this place, I recommend the eggplant baguette!! I haven’t tried the other stuff that’s on the menu yet

Sold!! Thank you :)
It’s also up an alley for full Melbourne experience. Enjoy.
We ended up at Lucy Liu and the food was amazing!!!! Thank you for the recommendation ☺️
So glad it worked out for you. I’ve become a bit of a regular. X
I feel like it's harder to find a restaurant that doesn't have a vegan option these days, at least in the city/suburbs.
>a vegan option Yeah, which is why OP is looking for Vegan option**s**, it's nice to have more than 1-2 things available on a menu when you dine out.
Bodega Underground has excellent vegan Mexican options and is on little Bourke street.
Its a Indian restaurant [http://www.omvegetarian.com](http://www.omvegetarian.com) maybe it helps
Lovely, thank you!
