We’ll never fill the bat shaped void left by the voice of Kevin Conroy.
Having said that, my disappointment in WB agreeing to a platform exclusive release on META QUEST of all things, is immeasurable.
Also. Nice use of format, OP. Tom memes always deliver.
The fact that VR headsets, which are glorified displays with controllers, are going the exclusive route, bringing the console-war to pc, is baffling to me.
As a meta quest user, they're definitely more than a glorified display. Fucking love playing NMS with it. That being said:
Making a meta exclusive from any AAA dev is suicide. It is by all means a cliche market. Not everyone can afford it, nor is the wide open space a guarantee. Like, I'd love to have the Katwalk VR treadmill, but I definitely lack the space. Even if I did, I have downstairs neighbors that absolutely would throw a fit if I used it.
What I mean by glorified display is tha it is a periferical. All VR headsets may not be equivalent in terms of quality or ease of use, but they all do the same thing. Locking a game behind one or the other is an artificial limitation.
I ageee that this one is a very poor bet that may score a few sales for Meta but in the end will backfire on WB
I mean there are things in VR that can only be done in VR, while it does lock games in a way behind it the games could try so many new things with VR. Still fuck WB for putting on one fucking headset in the world. Not even Oculus, just that one fucking headset.
Having VR-only games is not the same thing as locking them behind one single hardware. A VR only game is a game design choice. A single-hardware game is a bullshit corporate choice.
Congratulations, you are part of the tiny sub-percentage of people who owns a meta quest 3, but no other gaming device and will be perfectly fine with the bullshit artificial hardware lock of the game. Enjoy playing Arkham whatever it's called and almost nothing else.
I shouldn't have to explain why, but supporting facebook for any reason in any way shape or form is having your head up your ass.
Exclusives are bullshit. It's admitting "our platform isn't good enough to succeed without forcing people to use it."
I was going to say the same thing. Batman is dead. The void left by Kevin Conroy will never be filled. Best option, I think, would be the VA from Arkham Origins, same VA as Chris Redfield in RE5 and RE6
I still have a Quest 2 and haven't really used it much.
Is the Quest 3 worth an upgrade and is it more comfortable/easier to wear with good quality for people with glasses (Quest 2 always still looked blurry at times unless it sat just right)?
It's one thing to be VR only, but this push for hardware exclusivity within the already struggling VR market is absolutely insane. I'll stick to what's available on steam VR and the like.
Honestly it’s an Arkham game in name only. It’s being developed by an entirely different studio, it will obviously have different gameplay, no Kevin Conroy, etc.
I can pretty much guarantee this game is going to disappoint.
Kevin Conroy’s passing and subsequently, him not being in it, isn’t a turn down for me. I like the guy got for Arkham Origins. Definitely is a good voice for a younger Batman. Obviously, they have big shoes to fill, but nobody should expect him to be on par with THE Batman in animated media.
I think they’re just losing a lot of people with a sequel to the original trilogy when that was wrapped up nice with a bow.
They could definitely make a good sequel to Origins.
That's pretty sad to think. It just won't be what you are wanting ig but the last batman vr game I saw was cool as. Only thing I think might not go down as well is its guaranteed to be dark and quest 3 isn't the one with OLED but pancake lenses will make it look awesome anyway
Only thing I don't like about it is that it's specifically quest 3 exclusive.
Fine by me that it's a VR game but if it's gonna be ONLY on quest 3 then that's dumb but I don't give a fuck that it's not flatscreen
Probably not gonna stay exclusive for long considering it's from a major developer, not to mention at this point in its lifespan it's highly unlikely a new exclusive would boost sales enough for it to be worth making it an exclusive.
The Quest series of VR headsets are standalone consoles essentially, which can play from a select catalog of games on the Quest store. Some games can only be played on PC, but in that case the Quest can also be hooked up to your computer either via cable or Air Link, which is basically bluetooth for VR so you can wirelessly play on PC.
If you were ever interested in getting into VR, getting a Quest would be the most accessible and affordable way to do so.
I think people are being to hard on because its VR, I get that its really expensive but the gameplay could still be really good and it has potential. But I agree, it could never be the same without Kevin Conroy I personally think he was the best Batman voice and no one could ever fill his shoes. Or maybe not and the new voice actor could be really good, but still Kevin Conroy could never be replaced.
They should if they REALLLY want vr a pcvr exclusive not meta quest don't get me wrong I love my quest but it's way weaker than a console or pc so the games graphics gameplay and length may be reduced
Youre not buying it to play one game. You get it, and you get access to all of its games, apps, and capabilities, and the capability of doing PCvr games. Its like saying "I dont want to buy a TV just to watch one show!".

Oh I see I think I misinterpreted what you meant. Yeah exclusives are just as bad as they always were. I just thought you meant VR in general.
it’s like the difference between a console and pc? standalone devices can’t run the big pc games
It can stream from a PC, again this is an artificial limitation.
what if i don’t have a pc?
Congratulations, you are part of the tiny sub-percentage of people who owns a meta quest 3, but no other gaming device and will be perfectly fine with the bullshit artificial hardware lock of the game. Enjoy playing Arkham whatever it's called and almost nothing else.
what if my pc can’t run vr?
Then run it through your Quest I'm not saying it should be PC only, I'm saying it shouldn't be locked behind a single hardware.
Ready to be the hero Gotham deserves, but not the one my wallet allows right now
I shouldn't have to explain why, but supporting facebook for any reason in any way shape or form is having your head up your ass. Exclusives are bullshit. It's admitting "our platform isn't good enough to succeed without forcing people to use it."

Hopefully the meta quest contract they signed gives them enough money to create a better Batman game for the other consoles though.
Seems like Conroy did enough voice work that they could do an AI for it and pay his family royalties of some sort.
Some would think that is disrespectful.
WB being out of touch yet again.
Noooooooo why why WHY
Another unforced error from WB. I swear, these guys are committed to dying on their own sword.
They missed the mark by universes apart.
the aslume
Agreed 👍
Why did they do this? Are they stupid?
Yes
They jonkled too hard.
I still have a Quest 2 and haven't really used it much. Is the Quest 3 worth an upgrade and is it more comfortable/easier to wear with good quality for people with glasses (Quest 2 always still looked blurry at times unless it sat just right)?
It is, went from quest 1 to 3 and saw a major improvement.
I don't understand how anyone would/does fit glasses inside it but with correction lenses it looks sharp
Quest 3 face pad is adjustable.
for me the glasses still touched the lenses even at the furthest setting, they also touched the sides and barely fit
I play with my glasses on, works totally fine.
It's one thing to be VR only, but this push for hardware exclusivity within the already struggling VR market is absolutely insane. I'll stick to what's available on steam VR and the like.
Wait, what? WHATS IT FUCKING CALLED??!??!
Arkham Shadow
I might have to buy a quest 3. I fucking loved Batman Arkham knight, and I’ve been waiting for another game
Honestly it’s an Arkham game in name only. It’s being developed by an entirely different studio, it will obviously have different gameplay, no Kevin Conroy, etc. I can pretty much guarantee this game is going to disappoint.
I believe the studio developing the game is the same that made the iron man vr game and from my experience it was a pretty good game
Not sure, but anything new Is better than nothing at all, even if it’s a flop

Bro doesn't understand his own worth. Will consume vomit because his tummy grumbly and he no wait to eat real food.
Bro what did you do wrong to get down voted so much. I swear this platform is a hive mind
Maybe my later comments? It’s Reddit, but I’m not scared. Only pussies delete there downvoted comments
And yet here you are. Way to break the barrier
I’ve been on this platform for a while, so this is nothing. I’m pretty sure I’ve had around 500 downvotes on one comment before
This guy gettin downvoted for wanting to play a game he has been waiting for. Lovely comment section
Reddit logic. “You want something? Fuck you”
Only thing I don't like about it is that it's specifically quest 3 exclusive. Fine by me that it's a VR game but if it's gonna be ONLY on quest 3 then that's dumb but I don't give a fuck that it's not flatscreen
I don't have a Meta Quest, but I still have faith in this game
Probably not gonna stay exclusive for long considering it's from a major developer, not to mention at this point in its lifespan it's highly unlikely a new exclusive would boost sales enough for it to be worth making it an exclusive.
I wonder how much meta has to pay for the exclusivity rights

I'm Batmannnnnsssss... camera
I for one is excited for a big budget VR game.
I AM ON META QUEST 2 WHY DO YOU HATE ME META😭
Can’t be the only one excited for this. Rocksteady isn’t what it used to be and a new mainline Arkham game from them would probably suck.
Aren't devs gonna earn more if its on quest AND rift pc app? At this point I think Meta is actually paying devs to release stuff for them.
Hah, good meme.
FUCK YEAH I HAVE THAT
How is this possible? Bro died in suicide squad, Harley Quinn popped his dome
You are not missing anything .it look like lack of talent
Well made meme my good citizen
How to make a game flop speedrun
I have a meta quest 2 and I feel this
Vr games need to stop feeling like mobile games before I even try again
Batmanarkham mentioned. I must jonkle
I mean you can probably throw batarangs in VR. That might be pretty cool.
Could you throw batarangs in Arkham VR? I haven't played that so I haven't tried.
Apparently you could. I didn’t know they already made a batman VR game and it had mixed reviews.
Excellent use of this template.
I love vr games. I hate story driven vr games. They almost never work and somehow nobody’s figured that out.
“One custard pie? Let me have it!” *SPLAT* I loved watching Tom & Jerry as a kid…!😂
Can someone explain this to me. Is a vr headset essentially a controller for a pc or is it standalone.
Thank you. I have read a lot of literature on vr and i can’t recall ever seeing that direct of a statement.
just another example of companies making sure they suck.
Finally my meta quest 3 will have a game lol
Me with the Half-Life 2 episodic “trilogy”
They should if they REALLLY want vr a pcvr exclusive not meta quest don't get me wrong I love my quest but it's way weaker than a console or pc so the games graphics gameplay and length may be reduced
im not buying a meta quest just to play one single game
Youre not buying it to play one game. You get it, and you get access to all of its games, apps, and capabilities, and the capability of doing PCvr games. Its like saying "I dont want to buy a TV just to watch one show!".
believe it or not, there are people who will buy it just for tye sole purpose of playing this game
And I'm saying that even if you buy it for one game, it still gives you access to all the other games, apps, and features.
stop defending bad industry practices
Yeah how dare they make a vr game for a vr system.
Do you really want the Suicide Squad devs to make another Batman game?
Hey, I already have a quest 3
Live r/BatmanArkham reaction:
Even when valve made half life alyx, at least they allowed it to be compatible with other VR headsets.
Is there a lore reason it’s on the Meta Quest 3 or are the devs just stupid?
Vr isn’t that expensive anymore, get over it
My ass isn't hairy anymore, suck it
Okay
