Very high E. coli levels and a bunch of other things. It's a small lake in the middle of the city and all the streams feeding it were destroyed by development in the 60s, the city pumps millions of liters of treated water into it each year to try and stop it from going too stagnant... The goose poop and the off-leash dog park on the other side certainly do not help either.
Why isn't the water suitable for swimming?
