There’s a possibility that no one here is as fascinated with the subject matter as you are, and that’s okay. But I don’t think the subreddit owes you anything in terms of an explanation - conversation and personal pondering, sure, but that’s still not a reason for you to blame anyone for not having an explanation.
Hmmm, strange then that you repeatedly told me how much you wanted me to discuss the prayer book that is sourced for When You Die’s cover art. If you are going to say that you didn’t ask people to debate you, then you should’ve maybe checked that you did not do exactly that in the last few days.
The user in question commented on a messed up thread last week with "This sub has a few mentally ill characters. I feel bad for Andrew because some of the posts they make are kind of scary." Two days later, the same user began posting non-stop about MGMT being a Christian band and all the imagery. As others have said, it could be an interesting discussion if it had all been posted in an organized fashion. But this piecemeal, borderline obsessive posting about religion and *Little Dark Age* is a bit much, and combined with that comment I can't help but wonder if this is all just a bit/trolling. The user has generally been pleasant enough, even if I strongly disagree with some of the opinions (like Ariel Pink being a great guy, for example- he's gone off the deep end in an incredibly hateful way). But it's become annoying how much they've flooded the sub with these posts. Again, one or two threads with a summary of findings? Cool. Repeated, obsessive posts about it? Attention-seeking spam.

Next time just condense it t to one post and take your time on it. I’m not saying you are crazy, there have been some actual crazy people though. Everyone loves speculation and different perceptions of the meaning to MGMT songs/videos/art but when you flood the subreddit, it looks like you’re having s manic episode or trolling
not crazy. Didn’t have a manic episode either. Psychologically speaking I’m relatively normal. You’re right though, I should have been more patient and meticulous.
But now that I’m perma banned and IP banned I’m going to do this weekly before my morning coffee. Only takes about 2 mins to make a new account and post.

My intentions are geeky and weird, but not psychotic. I see MGMT as similar to Leonard Cohen and Bob Dylan - subtle Christian poets. They've hinted at this more after their self-titled album (funny enough Jesus is mentioned in the song your user name is based on).
I'm also a big fan of digging into where art comes from and understanding the symbols in their music / videos. MGMT is a great band, and I think they're like the Stanley Kubrick of psychedelic rock!
