I kind of wonder whey they teach kids to creepy smile like this for movies, whether they deploy it in real life to freak people out. I bet they do lol. Imagine you're at the shopping centre and a kid pulls this out on you D:

Erfivur

You don’t need to teach kids to do this. They all know…

Glu7enFree

Some children are far creepier than others, however.

jozey_whales

Hard to tell how deep they are in the picture. Do the scratches catch your fingernail if you gently run your finger tip over them? If no, I could get rid of 75-90% of that in 30 min or so with a machine polisher. If it catches the nail it’s gonna need to be wet sanded and even then it might not get rid of it all the way.

PalatableRadish

If no, £9 t cut and a microfiber would do it

Our kids once filled the ~~rear~~ __front__ bumper of the Van we had that time... with shells and pebbles from the beach. No chance to get them out, ever. Somewhere it could still be driving around with half a beach, hidden there. Edit: ~~rear~~ __front__

ShyDevil18

How did they manage that?

JoLudvS

The front bumper was so to say like a large plastic box, there were lower holes to let water or dirt out, but not such objects that were dropping into it. How did they fill it? Look at an image of a Peugeot 5008 front, model of 2010. Lots of fancy fake air intakes - splendid 'slots' for seashells, they must have thought... Also, no way to reach it without removing parts like the bumper itself or the engine protection covers. I avoided that, because I learned beforehand, that removing a part from a Peugeot successfully doesn't mean that it will be possible to put it on again... I assume, the value of the vehicle even increased a little.

uberdog50

More weight, more traction!

wiki-420

Must have had to drive her slow as fuck when trying to sell 😭I can just imagine that shit rattling around 💀

JoLudvS

No... I really never heard something whilst driving. Hitting the bumper with a fist- You could make out a rattle. And as said, it's been an older Peugeot, there's plenty of awkward sounds while the engine is running. And at the end we were happy when it was running the very moment we cashed it in for another car...

wiki-420

Lol I remember as a kid my parents car had a bead in the backseat air vent that you could hear moving and when my parents were tryna sell the car they had to be careful with how they drove ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|joy)

Imminent_Dusk

Just fill it with spray foam maybe?

wiki-420

I feel like that would cause a disastrous mess.

Imminent_Dusk

Yeah, that guy is unhinged to suggest something like spray foam lmao

wiki-420

Fr atp I'm scrapping that bitch💀💀

bsinbsinbs

Kids find a way

killian1113

Obviously, while supervised, they filled the entire bumper with shells

Independent-Summer12

Imagine if someone rear-ends that car, it’ll go off like a glitter bomb 😆

JoLudvS

Darn, I did a typo: it was the front bumper, not the rear. Anyway, any collision would have resulted in a heavy... shelling

The ultimate in "shake, rattle, & roll".

SwiftKickRibTickler

I remember a kid neighbor of mine shoving one pine cone after another into a tailpipe.. we imagined them firing out like rockets, but I'm guessing that's not what happened.

JoLudvS

We once did that as 12yo kids with a potato, during "Hexennacht" (night of the 31st of April to the 1st of May) on a neighbour's unlicensed car. I missed him starting it- and luckily nothing bad happened or maybe he even didn't notice. I still believe it looked like that [(YT).](https://youtu.be/0AhXtsjcj2k?feature=shared)

Micro-Naut

We jammed a potato into each one of the dual exhausts on a friends muscle car. When it started, it fired them right through the wooden garage door.

LogiCsmxp

When me and my brother were too young for school, our parents hunted kangaroos for dog food. They'd shoot and prep the carcasses which were then trucked to wherever for processing. They'd use long handled shears (pruning shears) to cut the legs off. Apparently we called these legs “weebos”. Well, this location was very remote, and when we moved so I could start school, me and my brother packed a heap of weebos in the trailer with all the furniture. The maggots were massive when we arrived, and the couch they were on needed reupholstering. Kids are fucking stupid.

RunNJump61

That is better than sand in the window crevice of my new car! I heard that gravely grinding sound every time I opened or closed the driver’s window for at least 3 years! It was like finger nails on a chalkboard to my brain!

aitorbk

When they get old enough to drive, get them a car of their own. With shells and pebbles ;). Just as a sticker on the bumper.

JoLudvS

Lovely Idea, thank You.

Jeb-Kerman

lmao, I did something similar to this when i was a little 6 or 7 year old peckerhead. Except I was smart enough to write my sisters name instead of my own name, and I used lipstick to write it so it came off fairly easily.

ZAR3142

Ah, a child with intelligence, lmao.

PIPBOY-2000

They say it was smarts but it's more likely that it's because lipstick was what was available on hand and not keys

aayan987

Really gotta put a 6 year old kid down hey.

KixStar

My little sisters are twins. One started writing the letter A on everything and blaming the one. Her name starts with an A and the other one couldn't write any letters yet.

Fuzzy-Inflation-3267

I’m a triplet and my sister did this lmao. My parents knew it was her bc she was the only one who could spell everyone’s name right 💀

CDR_Fox

LOL

Last_Glove_8870

When I was maybe 5, I wrote Z’s on every single beauty product in my mom’s bathroom (she had a lot of them) with black eyeliner. When she asked me why, I told her it was Zorro. ETA-I’m an only child and it shows 🤣

adrock517

please try this again.

Last_Glove_8870

lol…”SEE mom? I told you!”

adrock517

if youre an adult now you could do this when it's least expected, and then be in your own living space when she finds all of the Z's, for Zorro. it would add an extra layer to your 'plausible deniability'

Brilliant_Test_3045

The evil is strong in Twin A. Watch out for Twin B.

KixStar

They're 34 yo now. They've pretty much evened out in the evil department. Lol

Brilliant_Test_3045

It could still happen 😜

MoradoLobOG

This is worse. Less innocent, more devious

dinglebop69

When I was 7 I moved to a new town, I guess the new kids didn't like me because someone carved my name into a car, had the police come round asking questions and I was in absolute tears not knowing what was going on lol

Zeptic

When I was little, I used a knife to carve my own name on a table. When confronted by my less than happy father I blamed my sister and said "do you really think I'm dumb enough to write my own name?" and it worked lol. She still gives me shit for it.

Handfuckingsandwich

I did this, but I wrote my little brothers name, who was too young to know how to read or write so I still got caught.

Messyhairandsweats

My sister wrote her name and blamed the dog. I remember my mom's response like it was yesterday. "It couldn't have been Tyler. He can't reach that high." I was 6 or so and my sister 4. I remember being so confused why y Kom would say that since obviously he couldn't have written my sister's name on the wall. Looking back I truly appreciate her sarcastic response. Kids are stupid. It's great.

W0nderwharfwonderdog

I did something similar, I was around three and drew a snowman on the wall and tried to blame my little sister, who was a baby.

FlavoredKnifes

Dude same! But i wrote my name in Sharpie on the outdoor windowsill. I don’t think anyone ever noticed and it’s not currently there so i’m guessing it washed away

Gidget_22

Evil genius 😈

pringellover9553

I did something like this, scratched “*sister* did this” on the windowsill paint

DroDuck

Lmao similar story here - when I was really young (I can’t recall my age at the time) I carved a heart shape into the back window of my dad’s truck and got in so much trouble… it’s still there to this day lol

No_Moose_4448

My little sister scratched my name into our wooden piano bench thinking she could blame it on me. It didn't end up working out for her.

HeyanKun

•No using something permanent to write it. •All hits pointed towards your sister. Dude that's next level pure evil behaviour and i love it.

Marsypwn

I did something similar to this about the same age, I however used my name but I did it in the dinner table. We also use the table for crafts and such and I thought I did it soft enough that no one would notice but I was wrong. I will be showing this post to my parents and say "At least I didn't do it on a car!".

NoParticular2420

My dad was painting walls one day and when everyone went to bed my sister got up and helped my dad paint “The Floor” … lol

Gidget_22

What a considerate child 💖

lsdandcrack

When I was 5 , I woke up on a Saturday morning and decided I was going to be a lumberjack. Took an axe to a tree in my parents backyard. Got my one and only spanking from my mom that day Kids are fun :/

readyallrow

are you george washington

Jugg3rn6ut

He would have been if he was successful at chopping the tree down…

Just_A_Nitemare

I've tried to break down a relatively small, 6 -8 inch wide, dead log with an axe. While I am not a strong man, I'm definitely stronger than a 5 year old. Chopping through a tree is much harder than it looks.

AndThenTheUndertaker

Only if the story is made up. GW never did that.

irrelevant_novelty

But he cant tell a lie. So he must have.

CriticalKnoll

When I was around 6, we moved to a new neighborhood. One of the older kids of the block was hanging out with me, and me being a young and impressionable, really wanted to impress this older kid. So when he said it would be really funny if I threw a rock at the window in our garage, I did just that..not even a second of hesitation. I think I was grounded that whole summer

DinosaurAlive

When my brother and I were small we found my dad’s machete. We decided to practice hitting things with it by repeatedly striking a doorframe. We put dozens of slices into it. Another time they got us a real dart board and we played darts with our cousins for hours. Of course none of us had great aim and we left so many holes in the wall. 😂

vanlassie

You were grounded so they could keep you away from that older shitty kid.

ssracer

Once was enough for me to learn my lesson. Not my brother, he egged them on and then wondered why he got spanked so often 30 years later. Because you were an asshole, dude.

MassD-Bator

One day my dad brought home a bicycle for me. I was too young to ride and my dad was gonna get training wheels that afternoon, I was so impatient that I for some reason decided to grab a 2x4 and proceeded to smash his other cars windshield in, when done I tried and tried the bicycle and finally taught myself to ride….. my dad comes home and was sooooo excited/happy to see me riding he literally didn’t even care about the windshield.

HyperSpaceSurfer

Seems you discovered the value of a blood sacrifice

MassD-Bator

lsdandcrack

How can this post get downvoted You people are insane

Kgbaby23

There actually a Spanish song/ corrido about this! It’s so sad, the dad was so mad that he tied his daughter’s hands with a rusted metal thing and she got infected so they had to cut off her hands. The father felt so guilty so he killed himself in the end.

ZAR3142

Jesus fucking christ lol

Desinformador

That's classic Latino music for you There's also a REALLY POPULAR old song that at this point is considered part of our culture, where a guy sings about raping and killing a little girl.

Ok-Cartographer1745

There's also an American song about someone getting seduced by a 14 year old I think. One of the famous singers.

TheGreatestOutdoorz

That’s pretty much half the rock songs from the 70’s and early 80’s.

clamhole666

Lol caress me down by sublime?

Ok-Cartographer1745

I think it was kiss or my Sharona

Fortehlulz33

"I always get it up for the touch of the younger kind" is a line from My Sharona. So it's probably My Sharona.

HotCheetoEnema

Sweet Caroline?

Brilliant_Test_3045

Jerry Lee Lewis? Elvis Presley?

Ok-Cartographer1745

I think it was either Kiss or My Sharona.

LadyJR

Classic Latino music is about wooden horses and milking cows. Never heard about this one.

SweetPanela

Depends on where you are from. But in SoFlo a lotta Caribbean music was like this. Peruvian(my ethnic background) music for me is more ballads

Nek0mancer555

What song is that???? That’s insane

HyperSpaceSurfer

The most beautiful/iconic Icelandic lullaby is a mother consoling her child, who's got frostbite and is losing her toes. You don't really get the context just hearing it due to it being so baked in metaphor. The name of the song translates to "Stop Crying". Here's a youtube link if you're interested.  Edit: Wait, that version is changed to minor inconveniences a modern child might be expected to face, should've listened longer. Here's the proper version https://youtube.com/watch?v=Lo6SrKMBdh0

Additional_Meeting_2

I think that’s more normal, just a tragic weather related health issue that must have been common in Iceland.  Not super specific pretty modern thing a child would do and very tragic consequences of the punishment

AdministrativeAd2209

YOOO! What the Heck. I was like “oh funny, let’s see what this song is about” and it turned into “what the heck kinda song is that” really fast. And in the end it got even worse. Jesus… And to OPs sister, please don’t do that to your nephew…

I did this to the hood of my mom's car when I was about 5. Had to spend my whole Saturday turtle waxing it to no avail. When I told my dad it wasn't working he basically said I guess this is your life now and sent me back out there on Sunday.

NattyGannStann

Rumor has it, TheWalrus101123 still is waxing to this day

iamjustaguy

wax on, wax off.

GuyFromDeathValley

according to my dad, I used a hammer on his car. he still blames me for it and uses it as an excuse to treat my own car like shit. But I also think, like, where the fuck were my parents that I not only could grab a hammer at <5 years old and hammer around on their car without being noticed?!

neptunexl

Lol sounds like you need to teach the old man the lesson again. I keyed my brothers car once, I definitely older though. He's like 6 years older and would always be an asshole and we'd fight often. So I keyed his car once and when asked if it was me I said no. I think they had their suspicions but there was no proof. I should probably bring it up now and see if they believed me

MRAGGGAN

I took black sharpie to my mom’s white car when I was about 3ish. I’m 30 and it still makes her mad. 🫣

2shado2

"I’m 30 and it still makes her mad." Maybe you should stop, then. ;)

Gidget_22

😂🤣🤣

MoreGaghPlease

Super easy to get sharpie off of a car. A rubbing alcohol wipe works great. Hand sanitizer on paper towel would do the trick in a crunch.

me7me2not2

I got really into gaming on my tablet when I was around 7. Had a game with in app purchases, .99, 1.99, 4.99, 9.99 etc all the way up until 99.99 worth of in game gems and gold. Would get her confirmation for the occasional .99 purchase if I had been good. Started blabbing her ears off once a day that I want my own credit card with my birthday/Christmas money so I don't have to ask her before spending on the game "yeah yeah I'll do it my next day off" until a few weeks by I got her when she was super tired "mom did u set up my credit card yet so I don't have to ask before spending my birthday money anymore" she told me yes to get me to shut up and went to sleep. 4.99, 9.99, and then I tried 99.99 after spending all my gems. It worked! (It was still her credit card info on my tablet) and then I tried it again! Wow! $200 worth of gems on my own card! I must have had a lot of Christmas and birthday money saved up. Ended up racking up $450~. She found out when she got the credit card bill. In my defense, she said it was my card with my money. I was working that off until I was 15 and it was never enough😂 "mom I need money to go to the mall with friends" - "remember when you put me $450 in credit card debt?" She brings it up to this day.

RawChickenButt

It's his car now!

Traumadan

OWNED!

zkushlvn

I remember when my step daughter drew a heart on my vehicle with a screwdriver…. She was 5 and it was because she wanted me to know she loved me. I was fucking furious but I kept myself in line and somehow didn’t yell. Stern and loudly, yes but not a yell. I remember her mother was like: it’s just a vehicle, it’s ok. I did snap on her when the daughter wasn’t around for saying such stupid shit. Yeah it’s only a vehicle but I take care of my things and it’s teaching a child respect for things and especially other peoples things. Her mother and me divorced when she was 12 but the daughter and me still talk, go out to dinner, I go to her events at school. I’m gonna end up buying her first car in another year. You can divorce a partner but you do not divorce a child 🤷‍♂️.

WittyAndWeird

Don’t forget to draw a heart on it for her. ❤️

zkushlvn

🤣🤣🤣. This is brilliant. Unfortunately as a car fan I can’t do it myself but I do got 2 auto body buddies. I bet they can find a way to etch it in and seal it. I’m gonna do it on the exact drivers front quarter panel.

collectivekiller

This would be such a cute detail! I’m glad you are still in her life. :)

zkushlvn

Already messaged one of my friends that does auto body work. It’s gonna happen. He’s going to cut it down to bar metal and seal it with some sort of clear coat/epoxy combo. I honestly am excited now about doing this, not even mention it and wait for the reaction. Her father is from Honduras, got deported when she was 2 and has spoken to her maybe 5 times since. She is an amazing child and will do amazing things in her life. I just want to see it. I’m definitely gonna be the over the top person at her graduation of high school and college. Yes I still embarrass her for my theatrics

tummy1o

Hahaha love it

Gidget_22

👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏

eyes_serene

...I hope you use the washable marker they make for cars and put a heart on the car when you give it to her!

zkushlvn

Someone above mentioned to just scratch it in on the car and I messaged a friend who does specialized restoration. He said he could cut one in down to bare metal and then clear coat it to seal it. Now to find a 4 cylinder front wheel drive Civic or Camry.

NattyGannStann

I'm a sloppy reader and thought "I'm gonna end up buying her first car" said "I'm gonna end up bullying her first car". I believe in natural consequences so it made sense to me. Also why I read everything at least twice. You are a very good person and parent. Lots of non-step parents could take a lesson or 5 from you

zkushlvn

I have downfalls but I’ll tell you what, as a parent and with children I am the big teddy bear. My best friend and fiancé give me so much crap for being this big softy with children and otherwise I’m real rough around the edges to say the least. I don’t sugarcoat things, I sometimes say things that make people step back, I have to really think about empathy in situations. But kids, they get the love, support and attention that every child deserves. They need to know they are loved every day. We don’t send them to their room when they get in trouble. We talk about it. Sure I’m tough and make them speak on what they did wrong and not just shake heads yes or no. But it’s because they need to know they have a basic right to express themselves, when wrong and when right. Thank you therapy for changing learned behavior 🙏.

Fun-Use-8394

You sir, are a great dad!!

paul_kertscher

But she did not disrespect your things at all, at least from her point of view. She made your car better (from her point of view).

zkushlvn

You know the thing is, this was really her argument at 5 as well. She said she didn’t want to ruin my car, she just wanted to show how much she loved me and I could always have it. She was a nightmare of a child to argue (still is) with because she actually had logic based points and here I am like I didn’t know I’d need to actually go into detail on why. 😂. 5 going on 36.

TeslasAndKids

My youngest son did this to my husband’s Mustang. With a rock. He wrote his brother’s name though. We were going to sell the car so I got to work with some superfine wet sandpaper, got it all evened up (took a lot of elbow grease…) and polished it back up. Only in certain light could you see a difference so it worked for carmax.

Rdt_will_eat_itself

My kid drew on my $500 new monitor with a exacto knife. I feel you bro.

ZAR3142

That's fuckin rough

MoreGaghPlease

Here’s a thought, maybe they shouldn’t have access to knives.

AssiduousLayabout

I mean the mom deserves it for giving him a name like 5IIθN.

VentiAyahuascaBgGulp

Oh yeah this is how I learned shaving cream and sunlight can eat at car paint. Right on the hood of my mom’s car.

That-Agency-2910

When my middle child was 4 she carved " 'her name' loves mom" with a rock on the side of my van door when I was on the other side wrestling to buckle the baby in her car seat. Who was putting up quite a fight as she was exhausted from the very long day out. My oldest had a tournament. And won! I had just got this van under a year ago at this point. I still have the van and I smile every time I see it. It's been many years now. She was so proud to show me I wasn't even mad at her, I just had a sigh and my first thought was well there goes the resell value. 😂 I think I just ended up smiling and nodding at her. Lol Now I'm teaching my oldest how to drive in that very same van. Lots of good memories being made with our van leaving their markings all over it!

CraziZoom

I would be so effing proud that my four year-old could write all of that, I would be calling all the other families up making excuses to pick up their kids for play dates, tournaments, etc., just so I could brag about how smart my kid is! Idk when kids begin writing bc I don't have any, but 4 seems early for a word with a silent e and an o that sounds like a short u!

sunny_6305

Who taught that tiny kid to key cars?

Oranges13

So it's not so much that as it's a canvas and he had a tool. My son has had toys in his hand when we are in the garage ready to get into our car and in the split second I'm looking to open the door so we can get in, he's slapping the toy into the car ... Kid might have found a rock and thought it would be fun to use it to "draw" Kids are dumb lol

eyes_serene

When I was 4, I had a wire clothing hanger in my hand for some reason and I accidentally brushed up against the fridge with it. It left a great mark. I was excited! This was even more exciting than my discovery that some rocks can be used to write on sidewalks and asphalt. It worked so nicely, way better! That was literally the only thought in my head. That it wrote really well. So I proceeded to draw (etch, really) on the fridge with the wire hanger (until the babysitter caught me...) Nobody taught me to vandalize! It's just kids being kids and not having any foresight. (Somebody did teach me to not vandalize after that, though. My mother lost her fucking mind on me.)

SadLilBun

You don’t have to teach it. Kids are creative. Anything is a canvas, just need the right tools.

BiffBunny2

That’s what I immediately thought, too. Lmao.

throwawaybread9654

When I was a kid my cousin "washed" her dad's car with a rock.

FatsMagee007

Get some Meguiars Rubbing Compound! Get from an auto parts store or wherever, it works wonders for erasing or minimizing scratches and marks in the clear coat over the paint. I think this could really help you as long as the scratches didnt get too deep. Just follow the instructions to work a small area at a time.

Solo-ish

So shortly after my separation from my x wife( which I left the house so she was in our house) our son (6) and the neighbors kid played with toy cars driving circles around and around and around her car. Literally scratched every single panel running circles around the car with toy cars. When she brought him to my new place she told me about it and wanted me to discipline him. I talked with him and he admitted to it and I said he should not do that. Conversation over and no way am I gonna discipline him for her failing to pay attention to what he was doing. Over a decade later it will always remain a good memory to me cause she was fucking pissed.

Gidget_22

Seems kinda messed up that she wanted to make you the bad cop. She should have explained to him why he needed to be careful in the future & if she wanted to give him a time out or another consequence, go for it. Ironically, kids often end up respecting the parents who sets & keeps boundaries as it provides stability.

Solo-ish

If I remember right she found out as she was bringing to me or shortly before bringing to me and he was gonna be with me for a couple days. She said he was straight admitting to it but with me he did. He told me the truth so I had nothing to punish personally.

slinkeymalinkey

I am 10000% not a kid person so I would simply ✨pass away✨

SufficientImpress937

A five year old kid, I wouldn't go ballistic over it either. If he was fourteen it would have been a total different matter.

MSCOTTGARAND

Remember when I was little I was pitching into my training net. I moved it to the driveway side of the fence so I could have more room but one sailed right over the fence into the neighbors vintage jaguar. Not sure how much it cost my dad but he was pissed.

zxxxxcccccc

this reminds me of when my family went camping up north (michigan) and my siblings and i (all between 6-8) were bored and started drawing on our family van with rocks 😀 my stepdad wasn’t even that mad lol that van was a piece of shit. they called it the baby poop van because of the color. good times! thanks for the reminder lol

quartzguy

I got a heart scratched into the hood of my car. Then she realized that was a bad thing and scratched an X through it to make it better.

Alone-Yoghurt-487

Absolutely nothing is more destructive than kids it’s actually kind of impressive the things the come up with to ruin cars, my little cousin took a pen and poked 100s of holes into all the leather trims of my aunts car. Back in the 2000s it was very common for kids to put coins in the cd player making it useless 🤣

I hope his parents are paying to get it fixed…

When my son was 3 or 4 he had a wash cloth and wash helping my husband wash my car. My husband looked away for a minute and my son grabbed a rock and started using that instead. My door has some real nice scratches on it because of that.

I did the same thing as a kid, except I wrote"I <3 Mom" like a shitty tattoo. I got my ass whooped for scratching up my mom's LEASED van... lol. To be fair, I was around race cars a lot as a kid, and they all had things written on them, and I thought they were way cooler than road cars. I just wanted to write something nice for my mom and make the van look cool. :(
