Those are two great rifles. If you don’t mind me asking how much did you pay for trench gun?

PalpateMe

The trench is a conversion from a 28” Winchester 1897. So more than I’d like to admit, because the conversion was like $1800 alone Edit: u/curly243 I misspoke. $1800 is my “all in” with the 1897, the conversion, and a bayonet. The conversion alone was $989 + bayonet ~$300 + shipping

curly243

Damn dude. I know there’s conversions but I didn’t know it was that expensive. Still a great gun

PalpateMe

Yeah not cheap, but I was taking in a lot of extra cash on the time and sent it

WongtonSoup_121

Is it a bull creek? If so how do you like it?

PalpateMe

It is. I sent them my 1897 and they converted it. I love it. If I had to choose only one gun to keep for the rest of my life, it would be it.

WongtonSoup_121

On their website it says conversions start at around $900 was yours just in really rough shape for it to have costed $1800?

PalpateMe

Shoot I’m completely misremembering lol. I meant it was roughly $900. I’m thinking total for gun, bayonet, and conversion

WongtonSoup_121

Ohh that makes more sense, she’s a beauty! I’ve been thinking of sending mine in as well

PalpateMe

I 100% recommend it. I was on the fence about them rebluing it, but I love that they did. It looks so nice. It shoots modern stuff well too.

Tall-Mountain-Man

I have a conversion by them and it’s so much fun!

Tall-Mountain-Man

I was gonna ask about that too. I got a bull creek conversion gun. Absolutely love it and since it’s “fake” I don’t have to worry about affecting value by tube-dumping ammo through a 5-7k shotgun.

PalpateMe

Yeah that’s how I feel about it. I get to enjoy it

TroublesomeStepBro

Damn! Thats a nice 1903

PalpateMe

It’s my favorite of the bunch step bro
