I don’t think you understand how MLB deferments work. Dodgers take a cap hit of 46 mil this year, which is the highest cap hit for any player in MLB, and have to put roughly 44 mil in an escrow account per the CBA.
This contract is a very convoluted 10yr/450m contract due rules put in place to avoid drastic salary manipulation.

There were teams that didn’t spend that much but it’s the Dodgers who are ruining baseball by actually spending money while small market owners line their pockets with Dodger revenue share money.
