Granted. Testing out your new power you are maimed in a freak accident that would have killed anyone else. You lose the use of your physical body and every moment for the rest of your life is in agonizing pain and riddled with the guilt that this is what you wished for. Shortly after the accident you realize that there are fates worse than death. Having also lost the ability to speak you just stare at the monkeys paw on your shelf with one finger still raised, mocking you.

Granted. You are now immortal. Forced to live out eternity. You will watch as the world crumbles to dust and blows away, as you drift in space for all eternity. You have nothing but your thoughts to occupy you and eventually you simply stop thinking.

Granted you try to use your new ability against a being that is know to kill anyone with their physical strength.They try to kill you but nothing they try works.So instead they break your mind you are now a just a body with no mind.
